15 Best Brunch Restaurants in San Jose and the South Bay Area | Eater SF

"As one of the most beloved brunch spots in the San Jose area, the Breakfast Club at Midtown has garnered acclaim for its variety of breakfast dishes, which are derived from family recipes that go back 30 years. Though there will almost certainly be a wait, the vibrant atmosphere and full bar with a strong lineup of morning cocktails are sure to help pass the time. Savory options like sandwiches and Benedicts are plentiful, and the restaurant serves unique sweet entrees, like banana coconut pecan waffles, raspberry cream cheese French toast, and the fan-favorite red velvet pancakes." - Dianne de Guzman

Always a great experience here. Portions are big and the service is great. The quality of food is awesome and I'm never disappointed. They have a great menu with unique items and flavors. We always come back to try new things. A great brunch place though it does get very busy. Arrive early or after the rush and you'll be seated pretty quickly.

This restaurant has firmly established itself as a popular go-to spot for brunch and breakfast, and it’s not hard to understand why. Whether you’re catching up with friends or starting your day with a hearty meal, the experience here consistently hits the mark. One of the standout features is the portion size. The servings are generous without feeling overwhelming, offering great value for the price. The drink selection is also worth noting—whether you prefer a classic mimosa, a refreshing iced coffee, or something more creative, the bar delivers quality beverages that perfectly complement the food. Speaking of food, the pancakes are an absolute must-try. Fluffy, golden, and served with a variety of toppings, they manage to be indulgent without being too heavy. It’s no surprise they’re a favorite among regulars. However, the menu does have its limitations—particularly for vegan and vegetarian diners. While there are a few meat-free options, the selection is quite minimal and could benefit from more thoughtful variety. This might be a drawback for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. Despite that, the restaurant remains a beloved choice for many. The cozy, lively atmosphere and consistent food quality make it a reliable option for those in search of a satisfying morning meal. If you’re not following a plant-based diet and enjoy classic brunch fare, this place is definitely worth a visit. For pancakes and good vibes, it’s hard to beat.

Waiting time: 40 mins at Sunday morning The menu has so many choices , I ordered Country fried steak and eggs $22 . It was very good, like the hash browns were crispy on the outside and buttery which was great, but it made me so full that I didn't have to eat dinner. The portion is huge, I guess that's why it's so popular. Service is fast and friendly !

We stopped in for a quick bite and we were immediately seated. The restaurant was quite busy and has a beautiful ambiance. The servers were professional and attentive. The food was pretty decent and they had a nice drink selection. Just about every dish came with eggs but they were able to sub some things out and accommodate. I would say the plate seem to be drowning in the hollandaise sauce which took away from the meal.

We had a great brunch experience here! We tried the California French Toast, Mexican Scramble (with Soyrizo instead of Chorizo), and the Cookies and Cream Pancake. Everything was excellent, and the food presentation was impressive. I’d highly recommend the Mexican Scramble for its unique flavors, and the California French Toast is a must-try if you have a sweet tooth—the Bavarian cream really takes it to the next level. We had to wait 45 minutes, but it was worth the wait.

🍳🥞 Breakfast Club – A Brunch Spot Worth Returning To 📍 Located at W San Carlos & Meridian Parking is okay, but it can be a little tricky, especially on weekends when it gets busier. If street parking is full, there’s a garage behind the restaurant with extra spots, so you should still be able to find a place. 🎶☀️ First Impressions Step inside, and you’re immediately hit with a lively crowd and a perfect brunch vibe. The music was on point—it felt like someone had grabbed our personal playlist and queued it up for the restaurant. My girlfriend and I were absolutely loving it! 🍊 A Must-Try: Fresh-Squeezed OJ If you come here, you HAVE to order the fresh-squeezed orange juice. Since it’s January, oranges must be in season because this OJ was next-level good—a perfect balance of sweet and citrusy goodness 🍊🤤. If they had free refills, my girlfriend and I would’ve shut them down! 🍽️ Our Orders 👩‍❤️‍👨 Her Order: Country Fried Steak ✅ Portion: HUGE—and not just all breading! A thick, juicy cut, fried to crispy perfection with just the right amount of crunch. ✅ Gravy: Savory and well-seasoned, tying everything together perfectly. ✅ Sides: Herb potatoes 🥔 (delicious) and wheat toast 🍞 (more on that later). 👨 My Order: Santa Maria Omelette ✅ Steak: Well-seasoned and cooked to medium well, just as I asked 🥩👌. ✅ Flavor Combo: Steak, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and avocado 🥑🧀—each bite packed with flavor, especially when paired with the herb potatoes. 🍞 The Only Miss? The Wheat Toast The only thing that didn’t hit the mark was the wheat toast—it came out late and cold, making it less enjoyable. But honestly, that’s such a minor thing compared to how good everything else was. ⭐ Final Thoughts This spot has quickly become my go-to for brunch, and I get hesitant about trying other places because I always end up comparing them to Breakfast Club 😆. 🔥 Highly recommend for any breakfast/brunch lover! If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit.

Google
I love this place!! I came on a Monday and it was a little busy, but overall the food was amazing and even though I found a few things that shouldn’t have been in my food and water I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked our server to get us new waters and food because i know these things are accidents. But the waffle was yummy and the food was great! I recommend getting the hash browns instead of potatoes, I wasn’t a big fan.

We just landed at the in San Jose and rented a car to see what was good around here… found this gem because we were so hungry. Shell had the best customer service and this place is delicious and they have the best food! Great value for the buck. I was hesitant but very satisfied at the end. I hope this helps😎 Blessings, Charissa TikTok @onlythebestfoods

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend came here at around 10:30 am, and everything about it was perfect, the design and layout of the building was beautiful and overall was an amazing experience, it was a little pricey for both of us but what isn't pricey these days. It was about $80 including the tip but for what we experienced, it was worth it, definitely coming back when we're in the area.

Yelp
The Breakfast Club is one of my family's favorite places to get breakfast! The generous portions and the quality of the food never disappoint. From the hearty omelets to the fluffy pancakes, everything is delicious and satisfying. As soon as you walk in you feel the vibrant energy of the place and want a cup of coffee in your hand. This place is always full and you'll have to wait. One tip to avoid the only downside--the 1 to 2 hour wait time--is to sit at the communal table or grab a seat at the bar. This way, you can usually get seated faster and start enjoying your meal sooner. The service is always fast and the staff is incredibly friendly, which makes the experience even better. Plus, if you need to park, I always park across the street in the Safeway shopping center and just walk over. It's super convenient. Overall, The Breakfast Club is a fantastic go-to for a great breakfast!

Yelp
We ate outside. No wait at 830 but it was also a holiday weekend. Usually I see a line out th e door on weekends. Inside was crowded so we ate outside. Interesting atmosphere with the neighborhood cars and people walking by which was fun to watch. Food was excellent. So many things to choose from on the menu. I ordered the breakfast enchiladas and my kid got the trio with different pancakes and French toast. We all agree the raspberry cream cheese French toast was the bomb! So delicious but a big sweet for my own breakfast but I love sweets. Definitely food that's kid friendly. I'm still eating my breakfast the next day. Huge portions. Sonia was a sweet and efficient waitress. There is parking in the building garage but they should post this on the website to let patrons know- thier are apartments upstairs so it's hard to know when driving by on busy San Carlos. Overall a great spot for breakfast. I can see why it's so busy. And one last thing- the potatoes are the bomb. The best.

Yelp
Food- We have some good options on the menu. I always fall for the egg Benedict and fresh coffee. The peach pancakes are amazing. Service- when you go for breakfast you need to see smiling servers and I always have had such a positive experience. Ambiance- A nice America breakfast place, sometimes place is crunch of course and it can get loud as tables are quite close.

Yelp
I have heard about this place for years, and just haven't taken time to get over here. The wait was well worth it! First - I had heard that it was often a long line to get in as they don't take reservations. We came around 8:30a on a Friday morning. No wait! Second - our server, Chelle (hope I spelled that right!) was A.Maazing! She was very attentive - but not overbearing. She was conscientious of our needs, brought with a smile and laughter. Third - the food and drinks were so yummy! I enjoyed the Popeye Omelette. I saved the coffee cake for home - and that was a nice treat for later. The drinks were tasty. Finally - while it was a little loud in the restaurant- it wasn't crazy and the music was just the right level. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Breakfast Club is a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal. The environment is clean, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights is the generous portions they serve, ensuring you leave full and happy. Each meal comes with a choice of coffee cake, toast, or pancake. I always go for the coffee cake, which is studded with blueberries that provide a perfect pop of tartness. I recently ordered the chicken fried steak, which was accompanied by two eggs, hashbrowns, a piece of fruit, and a slice of that delicious coffee cake. The steak was perfectly tender, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. My daughter chose the kids' meal with two eggs and bacon, which also featured impressively large portions. The hot chocolate was a delightful addition to our breakfast, rich and satisfying. We especially enjoy visiting on weekdays when it's less crowded, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Breakfast Club is a top choice for a hearty and delicious meal.

Yelp
Went there on Independence Day with my friends. We all ordered their popular crab cakes served with poached eggs and avocado and Banana Apricot French toast! Food was good and portion size was generous as always! I love how diverse and unique the menu is as they have various items you can't get at other brunch places such as crab and shrimp omelette and breakfast mac n cheese! They even have Asian inspired items like spicy Korean chicken fried rice! The only downside that day was the customer service was non-existent. Minus one star because our server never checked up on us at all even though it wasn't really busy as it normally is.

Yelp
If you are wanting to visit The Breakfast Club beware of the long wait. My boyfriend and I waited over an hour to be let in so we just went to a cafe and then came back right in time. This place was bustling with the people. My boyfriend and I shared their blueberry lemon ricotta pancake and that was delicious! It made us full right away. If you have a sweet tooth you will definitely like eating the pancakes here! I'm not sure if it's worth waiting in line for again but if I ever feel up to it I'd go again.

Yelp
The Breakfast Club is a solid eatery where they offer something for everyone. Their hearty menu includes breakfast items (omelettes, bennys, pancakes, etc) along with lunch (sandwiches, burgers, salads). In addition, you can get other dishes such as breakfast enchiladas, breakfast burritos, loco moco etc. I liked that they had such a wide diverse selection. I had the popeye omelette with the hash browns and coffee cake. The omelette was packed with mushrooms, spinach and bacon. Instead of hash browns, you can get herb potatoes but I was happy with the hash browns. They were crispy on the outside and buttery in the inside. The coffee cake was good though it kind of tasted a bit dry (like it was pre cut ahead of time). Aside from the coffee cake (which could have been an anomaly), it still is 5 stars as the food was delicious, service was efficent, and staff was friendly. Our group met early on a Saturday morning (8:30 am) and seating was still available. I also did find parking in the community garage but when it comes to parking, generally I think it is kind of a crap shoot. When we finished, there was lines out the door so plan accordingly.

Yelp
The best brunch place in San Jose Midtown! Omelettes and benedicts are worth dying for. This place is usally open till 3pm and is closed for the rest of the day. You may find a parking spot for your car inside the community garage (the entrance is located at the back of the buidling, opposite safeway where two hours parking is free). If you dont find a place to park, you can always park at the safeway store across the street near mcdonalds/safeway (not recommended). A superb joint to spend time with your loved ones. Plan to be there early since there is a huge waiting time. Enjoy your bottomless coffee !! Good customer service, superb menu and mimosaaaaaas !! Parking: Parking can be tight sometimes - I was a resident in the same property as Brekfast at Midtown. I would suggest finding a parking in the parking garage in the Meridian at Midtown property. The lower level is open for retail parking. The best bet would be parking across the street in Safeway which is like 0.1 mile away from Breakfast at Midtown.

Yelp
Service was wonderful and fast. The food was delicious. We were seated pretty quickly and our waitress was friendly and professional. Our orders were correct and the food hot. We'll definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Very busy place for a Friday morning. Service was friendly but at the end we had to go up front to ask to close out our bill. Food came out fast. Huge portions. The trio (pancakes/waffles) was presented well. I got the eggs Benedict which comes with hashbrowns/potatoes. Couldn't finish, neither could my coworkers who ordered separate meals. You'll definitely leave taking your food home. Would recommend because of big portion size and tasty food. They need more servers. It was also really loud and difficult to carry a conversation.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Serving portions sizes were really good also. Service was a little on the slower end but still friendly.

Yelp
i heard this place can get pretty busy but i came on a saturday morning around 9AM and only had to wait about 5 mins. however there was alot of people waiting to be seated when i left around 1030AM. my server was the sweetest and made us feel so welcomed. the seats are a little close together and it felt a bit crowded but didn't effect my experience too much. - crab cake benny: 10/10 - home made hash skillet: 9/10 - tiki mango mimosa: 10/10 - club mimosa: 10/10 i would come back here on another trip to san jose!

Yelp
Good, fresh food with good service! Will definitely return for more!!! Super busy place but wait is not tooooo long fir seating!

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend came here during a slight 12 pm rush and were seated by the welcoming host at the front. Service was overall great and our server helped explain to us the menu as well as what pairs well with certain items like the sandwich we got. The sandwich was definitely the star of the show for us this day, super juicy and bread was crispy and buttery. Pancakes were good too but we thought the peach cobbler would've looked a little different rather than just pancakes with what looks like canned peaches and powdered sugar.

Yelp
Delicious Benedicts and great service! Best brunch spot I've been to in the Bay Area. This place is popular but we were seated quickly. We got the crabcake and carnitas benedict. Both were so good that we came back a week later. The poached egg is soft with a runny yoke and the hollandaise sauce is perfect. Service was excellent. Food came out about 15 minutes after we ordered. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is a cute place for brunch! I thought by coming on a Thursday it'd be less packed and it kind of was, but there were still a lot more people than I expected for a weekday. Writing a review after my second time coming here and it's pleasant! I think if you come in the morning hours they'll give you a "cake" of some sorts because I had one the first time I went and saw that there were a lot of people that already had their food with a slice, but my friends and I didn't get one this time. The food isn't out of this world amazing, but it's not terrible either. They have a large menu so you're able to cater to any friend's need, so I'd like to think of this place as a good spot to catch up with friends. ~~Parking: Pretty limited. There's a couple of street spots right out front and there is a parking garage. If you come on the weekend it's very hard to find parking. Would not recommend parking at the Safeway because I've seen other people say that they've gotten tickets from parking there. ~~Service: Great. The whole staff is kind and very attentive where they'll check up on you a couple of times through out your dining experience. ~~Return: Yes.

Yelp
The Breakfast Club has been my go to brunch place since high school! We came on a Saturday around 2:30 PM and were seated right away. They close at 3PM so we were lucky enough to make it before last call. We got the Red Velvet Pancakes and the Midtown Duo (surf and turf + New York). The pancakes come in three. I wish they had half orders here since the red velvet pancakes were a bit too much for me. I usually get the midtown duo so I can choose two different benedicts! Both benedicts were cooked perfectly. Overall, the food is always consistent here and the service is always top notch!
google avatar

James N.

Yelp
Came here on Saturday around 2 PM and was seated right away. The place was very big and had plenty of seats, but can get very crowded on the weekends esp during brunch time so I recommend either coming early or later in the day. We opted for the red velvet pancakes and half New York/ half Surf & Turf Benedict which came out relatively quickly. The Red Velvet pancakes were fluffy and delicious, but can get pretty tiring to eat after a while. Its value was worth for portion size however. Definitely a plate that you can share with the table. The egg benedicts were also really good and I really liked how I could enjoy two different benedict with the combo. New York Benedict was creamy and the smoked salmon tasted fresh. The shrimp and steak in surf and turf Benedict was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
- First off Stepping into The Breakfast Club feels like entering a fairy tale world - it's so vibrant and colorful. The staff is amazing, especially our server who was super friendly and helpful with the menu. It's quite the busy spot, so getting there early, around 9-10am, is your best bet for snagging a table without a reservation. Parking was also super easy as the garage was right next to the restaurant so it's less than a minute walk which is convenient. Me and my friend got the hot chocolate & Apple juice following my order I got the Chicken Apple Sausage Omelette combo with hash browns and size of pancakes it was not only tasty but also super-sized, so come hungry! My friend's chocolate chip pancakes were just the right amount of sweet with the chocolate and syrup . Which we both loved so so much Overall this place is the perfect place for a photogenic breakfast spread and a wide variety of yummy options. Thank you so much "the breakfast club" for the amazing experience we can't wait to be back!!

Yelp
Hads down delicious and huge portions. Love the atmosphere here too! I came here with some friends from LA who have been sorely disappointed by the food here in the bay so I showed them this place! Wait was definitely long and you can't join via yelp so highly recommend arriving at least an hour in advance to put your name on the list. We had 4 people and for there around 10 so keep that in mind. If you have some sleepy heads, it's worth someone else going, getting parking and putting names on the list. You'll be waiting in the shade so keep that in mind depending on the time of year. It definitely pays to take the time you have in line to take a look at the menu. The service was pretty quick in getting our orders, getting our food and drinks. I definitely cannot complain! My friends loved their food. There was SO much so maybe we didn't need to each order our own food. My friend and I both liked sour French toast better than our pancakes but I don't think either of us were in the mood. Otherwise, food is delicious! For parking, I'd definitely recommend carpooling and getting their early. There is parking in the building behind but it will be hard to find so be prepared.

Yelp
I'm not usually a breakfast person and haven't had a pancake in years, but I decided to check out The Breakfast Club since one of my friends recommended it to me. By far, one of the best brunch places I've been too! The food was great, large portions, and the presentation was beautiful. They have a large selection on their menu. The Breakfast Club is a pretty popular place and can get busy, so expect a wait when theres lots of people. Would definitely come back with more friends!

Yelp
I recently visited The Breakfast Club with my family for breakfast, and we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the green chilaquiles and chicken country fried steak. Unfortunately, nothing tasted fresh. The sauces and beans seemed canned, and even the half-and-half milk packets were stale. Given its top-rated on Yelp (4 stars ), I expected much better. Paying over $60 for a meal we couldn't enjoy was frustrating. I won't be returning, and I hope the restaurant improves its quality. Service was fine, and ambiance. It was just the food, which is the most important thing in my opinion.
google avatar

Jayne M.

Yelp
This would be my second time coming here and it's always a good turn out. Came here on a week day and it was busy. The first time I came here on a weekend and it was packed. Ordered the chicken club which had a good size serving. Along with their Bloody Mary which they have a variety of different types mixed with different liquors. My friend ordered eggs Benedict and finished it all because it was that good. It's a good spot to go to with friends and/or family.
google avatar

Yelp
I should come here more often! Great menu and great food. I've seen a long line outside the restaurant many times, but on a Tuesday morning at 9, we were seated right away! Service just for the first cup of coffee (very good) and to order took a while, surprisingly. But after that it was fine. Portions are large so you can share.

Yelp
The Breakfast Club is a top-notch breakfast spot deserving of five stars. With its cozy and charming decor, it's perfect for a relaxing breakfast or brunch. The menu is outstanding, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients. Standouts include fluffy pancakes, eggs Benedict, breakfast burritos, and must-try avocado toast. Freshly squeezed juices and smoothies are a great addition. Generous portions and reasonable prices offer excellent value for money. The Breakfast Club excels in every aspect, from food to ambiance and service. A must-visit for a fantastic start to your day. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I've been eying this place for a while and was happy I had the chance to finally stop by. It's very small in here and was packed. Luckily I was able to snag a seat at the full service bar. Staff was immediately friendly upon entrance. Once I sat down I was instantly asked if I wanted a beverage while being handed a glass of water. I chose a sparkling wine. It came in stemless wine glass with a fresh strawberry garnish. Cute! I ordered the trio, where you can select 3 pancakes or french toasts to try together on one plate. I opted for the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes, the california brioche french toast and the apricot banana french toast. I really wanted a waffle but those cannot be added onto the trio. The blueberry ricotta pancake was huge and came with syrup. The blueberries are baked into the batter. The lemon ricotta is in a cream based sauce that is drizzled on top. It was hella good. A perfect blend of flavors and neither over powered the other. I would order that again. The apricot banana french toast was also delightful. The bananas were caramelized but not too sugary. The apricot is a jam that comes in a container on the side. I had to spread it on my french toast to taste it all together. The pairing was interestingly good. They should drizzle the apricot jam over the french toast to make it easier to eat all at once. The California brioche french toast wasn't my preferred choice, but was recommended since I wanted a waffle that came with fruit. This one had custard, fresh banana, strawberry and kiwi. The custard threw me off. I'm not a huge fan of custard. But I did give it a try. Not bad but not my vibe. The trio is $19 and are large portions. I couldn't eat it all. I would order the trio again. It's a great way to sample a variety all at once. Parking is limited street but there's a parking garage around back that had 2 hour parking. The doors are hard to open and close, I'm not sure if it was due to the impact from the wind. I went during the week and it was packed. I can guarantee that the weekends are even more busier. I definitely want to come back with friends.

Yelp
Okay, the neighborhood community have to do a new post bc my husband loves this spot, and it's his birthday today. So, I decided to start his day off with his favorite breakfast spot. We went early 8:30 to be the crowd. They did not disappoint host/servers. Server came back multiple times to ask if we needed anything and came back with coffee/water refills without being asked. Our server even stopped to chat for a quick minute asking us our birthday plans today. Recommend this spot as food is superb, not saying my last post they took constructed criticism to be kind, but from one week to the next, this is a 360, note most of the time its hard for folks to do a 180! Just like their food, it's top-notch NOW their attitudes are too! Now I can say we will be back with a better perspective and to enjoy eating in a great ambiance

Yelp
I was decently surprised by the food here. i got a strawberry waffle. it was just a regular waffle with strawberries and glaze on top. it was good and i ate every bite!! the reason i give 5 stars is because my boyfriend absolutely hates breakfast food. thinks it's boring. he always gets country fried steak and eggs at every place he goes to and thinks it's whatever at all of them. he got it here and it had a nice crisp to it. he actually enjoyed it and took some of the leftovers for lunch for work the next day. i was surprised to see him enjoy breakfast food, so it means they're doing something right!! the service was subpar. the waiter who took my order, i never saw again. it wasn't even her who brought the food to the table. nobody ever checked on us and asked if we needed anything else or see if we're enjoying the meal, whatever. but not ideal. overall, it was good and was very busy on the random wednesday afternoon i went!

Yelp
One of my favorite places for breakfast. You get a ton of food and they have an excellent choice of cocktails. The service is great, although they get busy so expect a wait. Everyone is really friendly and they offer a wide variety of choices on the menu from breakfast to lunch. Fun atmosphere and the food is reasonably priced.

Yelp
My husband was craving eggs benedict but we wanted to go somewhere outside our usual neighborhood spot. We haven't been back to Breakfast Club in yearsss so we decided to go back again for their benedicts. Parking is either street parking or inside the apartment complex in the parking garage. We were there super early so we got a spot inside the garage. When you park in the garage, you enter through the back of the restaurant. Just look for a Starbucks sign and BC is right next to it. We got there around 7:30am on a Saturday and the restaurant was less than half full. I liked how spacious and open it was, it had a colorful rustic farmhouse feel. They have a few outdoor tables and bar seating too. We ordered.. CRAB CAKE BENEDICT $19 -handmade crab cakes served with avocado wedges and poached eggs. Option of herbed potatoes or hash browns. I asked my eggs to be scrambled since I was pregnant and extra crispy herbed potatoes. My portion was HUGE. Looked like there was more than 2 scrambled eggs on top.. like 3 or even 4 eggs! The hollandaise actually was tasty! The crab cakes were crispy and tasted super fresh. There was real crab and bits of celery which gave it a crunch. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and seasoned well. Muffin was fresh and fluffy too. Herbed potatoes were pretty good, not as hot as I would have liked. Didn't seem like they made it extra crispy either. But I liked how the potatoes were soft and creamy in the middle. Avocado gave it a refreshing touch. I was only able to eat half my plate. 4/5* CLASSIC BENEDICT $16 -the original with canadian bacon. Option of herbed potatoes or hash browns. My husband asked for extra crispy hash browns. His hash browns didn't seem extra crispy either but they had a decent sear and were soft in the middle. They were seasoned well and tasted buttery. The canadian bacon was nice and thick. He said everything tasted fresh. 4/5* CUP OF COFFEE $3 -my husband said it tasted like "crap." It tasted like hot water with a hint of coffee. MEH. 1/5* Service was friendly, our server checked up on us and refilled my husbands coffee automatically. When we were ready to pay, the server came around and we just paid at our table. By 8:30am all the larger party tables were full. Overall, I would come again for a hearty breakfast. Their options are definitely more elevated than your average breakfast joint. I remember really liking their tuna melt, so I would come back for that too!

Yelp
We visited on a busy Tuesday, and our waiter warmly greeted us, calming the chaos. We were quickly seated in the bustling lively restaurant. Let's just soak in the breakfast brilliance here! They've got this Trio Plate that's every pancake lover's fantasy. Red Velvet Pancakes, S'mores Pancakes, and French toast all on one plate. It's like a mouthwatering masterpiece that looks like a piece of art. The Crab Benedict was simply amazing. The best we've ever had. My egg was perfectly cooked on velvety hollandaise sauce, perched atop a crispy English muffin. The mimosas were the perfect finishing touch. Food portions were generous, so I couldn't squeeze in more food, but that's completely fine. I'm definitely planning on returning. The Breakfast Club truly understands how to make breakfast a cheerful celebration that will leave you beaming from ear to ear!

Yelp
My friend got the George Scramble and I got the Chicken Apple Sausage Omelette. Each meal came with a choice of potatoes or hash and coffee cake or toast. The food was delicious as always, we've been coming here since high school and it's remained one of our favorite locations for breakfast/brunch. I love that their orange juice is fresh and they have great mimosas. The service is always pleasant and the ambiance is lively and vibrant. There is parking in the back near the chase bank. Overall, I highly recommend.

Yelp
We met here on a Saturday morning around 9:30am. The place was packed, but we decided to wait and were seated about 30 minutes later. The server came by to take our order quickly and was very responsive to us during our whole visit. She was great, checking in with us a couple of times to make sure we continued to have everything we needed, which was amazing considering the large crowd size!! The food was very tasty and served with probably twice the amount of food as the menu described- the portions were large!! So if you woke up with an appetite, then this is certainly the place for you. They offer breakfast and lunch all day. They also offer coffee cake as an option to toast. I recommend it as it was very yummy.

Yelp
We stumbled on The Breakfast Club, which is around the corner from our favorite massage place. It looked like a pretty popular place, as every time we drove by there was always a lot of people waiting to dine there. We arrive early on a random Sunday and were suprisingly seated immediately. No Wait! We ordered the candied bacon, chicken fried steak and the California French Toast. The presentation was beautiful and the portions are large. My husband's chicken fried steak was so good! It was seasoned perfectly and panko breaded. So delicious! My California French Toast was lovely. The fruit was fresh and complimented the french toast and bavarian cream. The Breakfast Club is such a great breakfast place with a large, eclectic menu including liquid breakfast! We would definitely go there again.

Yelp
I ordered the Midtown trio with the raspberry cream cheese french toast, red velvet pancake, and banana apricot french toast. I enjoyed all of them but the red velvet pancake was my favorite. The portion size was great for the price, especially compared to ordering each individually.

Yelp
Got off the plane and randomly stumbled upon this jewel. Breakfast was sooo yummy! If I'm ever back in the san jose area, I'm eating here again.

Yelp
It's not so bad if you have Mondays off from work. But please do plan at least a 30 minute to an hour wait time on the primetime brunch days and hours. A lively happening spot with an eclectic background music inside the restaurant itself and the drink and food offerings. The menu changes not so often, but when something new does come out, they usually do a good job. I recommend multiple visits and try everything between the savory selections, to their sweet selections such as pancakes and waffles. It's a much more fun time if you do order yourself a tiki mimosa, or a bloody Maria. Pro-tip: Do not park at the Safeway parking lot across the street. They will tow your vehicle.

Yelp
The Breakfast Club is so yummy and I can't wait to come back to try their other dishes. FOOD: -S'mores Pancake: I only wanted one pancake and they were able to do this. I was thinking it was just the pancake only. Turned out, they put all the toppings on there as well for only $6 - Steak Huevos Rancheros: The steak was cooked at a perfect medium rara as well as the eggs in medium. The guac, salsa, and sour cream blends the flavors well and gives a great acidity to the dish. I love the hashbrown that came with it as well. -Crab cake benedict and surf & turf: We opted to do the Midtown duo where you can choose any 2 benedicts. The crab cake was my favorite between the two. The eggs and hollandaise sauce was cooked so well with the runny yolk across the potato. SERVICE: the wait to get in took us over an hour. Once we got seated, we placed the order right away and it didn't take too long for the food to come out. The inside was super loud since it was crowded for a Sunday brunch. There is a parking garage next door or street parking around.

Yelp
I have always been hesitant to go here because of the wait time but I'm glad I took the risk. My friend loves this place and it's one of her favorites so she convinced me to be patient and give this place a try. I enjoyed everything here. The food was delicious (HUGE PORTION) and the staff were so friendly. I seriously felt like I had a food coma shortly after but somehow managed to stay awake. Our waitress was extremely welcoming, despite how hectic she was. Even to the very end when we needed to pack our food, another gentleman came up to ask if we wanted a to-go bag even though he was cleaning up and serving other tables. I mean...it's just the little things that count. We sat at the communal table; hence, that's why we got seated right when we checked in. Otherwise, it would've been an hour to 2, at least. I highly recommend getting there early if you want a table but otherwise, there's bar seating, communal seating, tables of 2 and 4...so much seating! Inside can get pretty noisy but I think it's manageable. Parking is a hassle...We ended up parking over at the McDonalds/ Safeway parking lot and just walked over. Idk if there's a good time to go to reduce the wait time but I like how everything went today so I wouldn't mind sitting there again or at a different spot next time. Also, I saw soooo many people ordered pancakes and it looked really good as well so I may try something sweet the next time I'm here.

Yelp
The breakfast club is such a great bunch place. They offer free parking in the adjacent garage but it is pretty limited since they share the space with other businesses. If you aren't able to find parking there it is pretty easy to find street parking. They do get very busy so I would recommend to come early. We were given a 1 1/2 hour wait but our wait only ended up being around 15 min I ordered the crab cake Benedict. This was one of the best Benedicts I've ever had. The crab cake alone was super flavorful. My favorite part about this place is their hollandaise sauce, they also use the hollandaise sauce on their omelets which add a perfect burst of flavor. Their farm table Bloody Mary was alright. It didn't have much flavor and just tasted like plain tomato juice.

Yelp
It operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. We're here at around 1:30 pm on Sunday, and they told us there's a 45-minute wait for a table. However, a large shared table in the middle is available, perfect if you're cool with mingling. Maybe they should consider getting reservations on Yelp to keep things in check. The space is huge. It's casual vibe, and can get a bit noisy in there. It's a breakfast/brunch place with a wide variety of options. It took me a good 5 minutes to read through the menu and finally narrow down what I want. *Chicken and Waffle: There are 4 pieces of bone-in fried chicken on top of a waffle with whipped butter, maple syrup, and fruit on the side. The portion is HUGE, and presentation-wise, it looks awesome! The waffle is fluffy and buttery, delicious! You can go with the Korean style for the chicken, and they will mix it with the classic Korean sweet and spicy sauce. It tastes like what you usually have in a Korean restaurant. The chicken is quite juicy, but unfortunately, one of the pieces is a little bit on the dry side. *California Benedict: Bacon, tomato, avocado on top of an English muffin with hollandaise sauce, with hash brown on the side. The hash brown is too thick, making it kind of mushy. It would be better if it's thinner but crisper. Otherwise, the hollandaise sauce is delicious. We both felt satisfied after the meal, walking out happily!

Yelp
All of the staff were super friendly and attentive! There's usually a pretty long wait every time we come here but it's worth the wait. The inside of the restaurant can be pretty loud especially if it's packed! They serve huge portions and the food is always really good here. Our food came out pretty quickly considering how packed the restaurant was.

Yelp
We were here for brunch on a Sunday. The wait time was over an hour. The interior is pretty cute , with plenty of seating. We tried the following : Breakfast Nachos : 4/5. This was really good. Just wish there was a little more salsa in it. The portion size on this was ridiculous though , only finished half of it. Breakfast trio : 4/5. This gave us the flexibility of trying different types of pancakes. We got three different kinds. The buttermilk , red velvet and smores. The smores was definitely on the sweeter side. As for drinks we tried the tiki mimosa and the mariachi Bloody Mary. Both of which were good.

Yelp
A lot of people waiting outside in an unorderly fashion which makes it a bit messy. The place is pretty big, but it does feel very cramped of how close they put all the tables next to each other. Our assigned wait did take a while to attend to us after we first got seated. Maybe took at least 15 minutes of us just sitting there trying to get their attention. It is pretty loud in general, so don't expect a quiet meal while eating here. Perfect place for brunch. Off to the food review! 4.3/5 - Santa Maria - A great tasting scramble. I was worried at first for the freshness of the steak and how well they can be cooked in the diner, but boy did they prove me wrong. The steak was cooked at a perfect medium as I asked and the eggs were cooked beautifully. The guac, salsa, and the sour cream blends the flavors well and gives a great acidity and different flavor to the dish. It tasted more like a scrambled omelette, if anything with a nicely cooked steak on top. Add in some hot sauce if you want it spicier. Came with some toast as well. Jams and butter are offered on the side 3.6/5 - Crab Cake Benedict - First off the cantaloupe was a bit weird to put on the side and not on a separate dish. Maybe its suppose to be a dessert at the end? Eggs and the hollandaise sauce was cooked perfectly again. Runny yolk running across the hashbrowns and the dish was delicious. Hashbrowns was very crispy and you can't really go wrong. The main downside was the crab cakes, it tasted a bit fishy and really ruins the rest of the dish. As it was quite bland as well. Overall not a terrible experience, but the perfectly cooked steak really shines here. I do want to try more sweet things next time!

Yelp
Been here a few times before. Usually busy during the weekends but we went during MLK. People started trickling in as the time passed by. We ordered korean fried chicken and waffle and loco moco. Food took a little longer to come out mostly due to the fried chicken. The fired chicken did come out plentiful and super crunchy on the outside. Very juicy on the inside so def worth the wait. The loco moco was very filling. Mimosas will have to wait another day. Got things to do.

Yelp
Saturday morning around 11 we waited about 45 min to be seated. Took about 5-10 min for our server to come to our table. She was quick to get our order in, I was very curious about the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes, flavors that stood out most were the lemon zest and cream cheese drizzle. Maybe some lemon peel or oil in the pancakes? Nevertheless, nothing to rave about in my book. Was glad I got sausage on the side to balance the sweetness since I usually go for a savory breakfast. Boyfriend likes the spicy chicken and waffle, and hash browns were crispy too. Next time we will try to arrive before 10am.

Yelp
Tried to place the other day on a Tuesday, it was pretty busy for a weekday. Thankfully my friend and I got sat quickly. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and some mimosas. Which were great! I added some pics below. The ambience was nice in there I loved the music as well! Definitely will be coming back soon for some brunch and mimosas!

Yelp
Solid brunch spot in San Jose! I went here with a friend and she ordered the california benedict with a side of peach cobbler pancakes, and I went with the chicken apple sausage omelette with coffee cake on the side (so cool that they offer coffee cake as a side; I've never see that at any brunch restaurant before). It was such a beautiful and huge spread! The omelette was so good, super flavorful and hearty, and such a large portion. I took at least half back as leftovers. The coffee cake was a little too dry for my taste sadly. I tried her peach pancakes and they were very tasty and not too sweet. We sat outside and it was a really nice vibe! Not too loud, and service was still attentive. The wait here was so long, but it's a pretty popular brunch spot so that's to be expected. You can put your name down and walk around the area while we wait-- there's a lot of coffee shops and cute neighborhoods nearby if you want to take a walk :)
