Super cute and unique shop with a lot of character in an old church. Friendly staff and quick service! Our group had a lavender oat milk latte, an iced caramel oat milk latte, bagel and the Cowboy Panini. All very good! We’d definitely stop again if in town.

Google
Awesome little coffee shop in an old church building. They still have some of the old church furniture. The stained glass windows are very nice. There are a few tables in the outside courtyard when the weather is good. The staff is very friendly. The baked goods I tried were all delicious. They can make most any standard hot or cold coffee drink. They do a different drink special each day. Had one of their paninis for lunch and it was very tasty. Overall, a perfect little neighborhood coffee shop to grab some coffee, snacks and hangout for a while.

Google
We came here on our way out of Theodore Roosevelt National Park because it's a fun place inside of an old church. I got the small size cafe miel and the Teddy panini. I thought their small was massive - I was not ready for that. The panini was okay, but I probably wouldn't get it again. It is a cute spot with a lot of indoor seating!

Google
This is the coffee house in town. Great atmosphere, and a fine place to relax and catch up with a friend or catch up on your reading. If you like your coffee sweet they have what looks like between fifty and a hundred flavor syrups so you can always try something new. Of, they also have hot prepared food.

Google
Cute coffee shop in an old church. I love how they used pews for seats and have kept the windows. Clean inside and plenty of seating available. The pour over was exactly what I needed that morning and the friendly staff was a bonus! Small gifts available for purchase.

Google
How cool?!?! Well it’s an old church, converted into a coffee shop. Only thing better is if it were a bar. 😂 Follow me, you’ll get it. But I love my coffee too... Caramel macchiato... bien. Mucho bueno. Come see the baristas, and get you some coffee. There’s not a better building or history than this. So 😎...

Google
Great place! My husband loved his coffee, but since I am not a coffee drinker, I had a Bubble Tea made with a fruit smoothie -- yum! And terrific service too.

Google
Incredibly quaint. Used to be a church, beautiful plants line the walls. The coffee was outstanding and the service was lovely. Good number of options for people who enjoy specialty drinks as well.

Yelp
Such a cute place to stop! They have plenty of seating in the front and in the back with cool views of old stained glass windows and local art . We got a pour over coffee and an iced latte with oat milk. Both were smooth and tasty. For food, we shared The Medora Panini which was such a pleasant surprise. The perfect vegetarian sandwich! It came with chips and a pickle. We also got a slice of the almond poppy bread/pastry and it was sweet and moist. The staff are SUPER nice and we had an all around great morning meal here!

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect when I searched up "coffee shops" while filling up gas in an unknown city but boy, were my expectations exceeded :)) First off, the architecture is to die for! A building that once held Sunday services was now a peaceful, studious place for people of all ages to enjoy! Now onto the real showstopper; the PB&M drink I got. It was a perfect mix of sweet & healthy (since there was banana in it ;)) while also giving me my caffeine boost! I cannot say enough good things about the lady that helped me! She was super friendly & hopefully didn't judge me too hard for acting like a tourist haha -- 100% worth the stop!!!

Yelp
What a neat place!!! The tea is loose leaf and it was absolutely amazing! The fact that it us in an old church is really neat. They offer wifi. The seating is really neat little tables tucked away in each corner. Check out the bathroom super cool window in there!!! I would come back here..I'm very happy with my experience the service was on point!

Yelp
I love when they reuse an old historic building instead of knocking it down for modern development. This converted church still has a lot of the religious ambience inside. A better business name would've been Holy Grounds but that's my opinion. We enjoyed the coffee we ordered while sipping away inside even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yelp
Adorable coffee shop in an old church! Lots of varieties of drinks to choose from with a cozy atmosphere, outdoor seating under shade trees, and a friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Go out of your way if you have to, it's worth it. This coffeehouse in an old converted church, but that's the only old thing about it. The inside is beautiful. Check out uses and iPad instead of a cruddy old cash register. Most of the original stained glass is still there, except for above the door, which has a new piece of glass etched with an espresso cup. Now, the coffee: good stuff.

Yelp
This place is awesome! The coffee shop is inside an old church building. The stain glass windows are beautiful. The ambiance is so lovely. The baristas were incredibly welcoming and friendly and they made me a truly outstanding decaf Americano! My husband got one too, and a breakfast sandwich that he also liked. I would absolutely recommend this place for espresso drinks and general atmosphere. It's a truly gorgeous little shop!

Yelp
I lived in Dickinson about 6 years ago and this place was my favorite coffee shop ever (and I've lived in California and Colorado)! I had a chance to visit again today and it didn't disappoint! Their coffee is never bitter, the drinks always have a great flavor, the people that work here are always nice, and they have the best baked goods! If you are in town or passing through, you should stop here! It's an old church and you just feel a sense of peace while you sit inside and enjoy your drink (and your cookie or scone)!
google avatar

Yelp
I tried the hot cider, the teddy and the peach/lemon smoothie... thus far, the quality has been consistently good! Will get stop by when I come back into town ^_^
google avatar

Yelp
Baristas were nice enough but the service was pretty awful. Took almost 30 mins for two paninis, one of which they almost forgot, and once we got them, they were undercooked. Coffee wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Only giving two stars for the neat space the cafe's in.

Yelp
My husband went inside to get us some coffee before we hit the road it was very easy to find and he told me it was absolutely wonderful inside the coffee that he gave me was truly delicious made absolutely perfect hope to return again

Yelp
The Brew has great ambience and courteous employees. Our coffee was delicious. What a gem for this community. I wish them the best!

Yelp
I've been working in the third wave coffee industry for over ten years and have never heard of a 20oz pour over in my life! A great find as we were passing through. The coffee was excellent (with multiple regions available for the pour over), the sandwich was tasty, and the service was excellent. What a cool little location! I wish we had more time to sit outside and enjoy the outdoor seating as it seems like a lovely spot to spend a nice day. The inside is cozy and keeps its church time vibes. A very cute spot with tasty coffee and a unique look.

Yelp
This was such a cute coffee house!! I love the idea of the renovated church. There's a room behind the counter that customers can reach through a door on the left side of the shop. It also showcases a local artist, which is great!! I got an iced chai latte and a purple cow. The iced chai latte tasted like a slightly better version of Starbucks'. The purple cow was an interesting drink - the taste reminded me a little bit of a mixed berry yogurt. It was good but nothing extraordinary. All in all, cute coffee shop with good drinks!

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop! We tried a couple of the mochas and they were great. Stop in and give it a try!

L. Bryan W.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in mid afternoon. We shared a Bully sandwich. The sandwich was very good. The service is really poor, and it's a little pricey for what it is $20 for one sandwich and two teas.

Yelp
Cool space, great selection that is brewed with skill and excellent service. I will be here often.

Yelp
Yep, here I am passing through sleepy Dickinson, ND on a Sunday morning again, trying my best to sleep in until 10:00 AM so I can check out this great church converted coffee shop. Gosh, if they can't open earlier because they went to church then why not have church in their church converted coffee shop? That might make some business sense. They could serve up red redemption lattes or something like that. Anyway, can't wait any longer so I missed them again. Most people in the world start drinking coffee in the morning not for brunch.

Yelp
Woah. This place is good. Stopped due to good reviews on iced caramel macchiato, which i got with almond milk. Very good, wish I took a picture to add bc it's appearance is incredibly appetizing. While there, they had a sheet of caramel topped rolls on display, they were huge and looked amazing so we tried one as well! They did not disappoint! (They offer to warm the roll for you--- do it.) the service was great, very friendly. The location is also something to comment on. They took over an old church and transformed the space, using old pews inside for seating around the tables. Very relaxing atmosphere to sit and relax for a minute if you're stopping while driving through town!

Yelp
Yep, gotta love this converted church to coffee house. Very cool indeed. Had forgotten about the fab cinnamon rolls made here. Still got'em. Having new development latte here, the buttered rum vanilla latte hot. Is good. But I am old fashioned and like spice chai latte best overall. And they are making one for me now. Love these girls and the settings and food drinks.

Yelp
Very cool little coffee shop. The building used to be a church from the late 1880s, so it has a very unique vibe and isn't just your run of the mill chain coffee. Beverages were good, my co-workers looooved theirs. The frozen blended peanut butter mocha was amazing (next time I would get this for sure) and the hot Mexican mocha was really good too - not too sweet or too spicy, perfect blend. I got the vanilla cold press, as I'm a big fan of cold brew. The flavor syrup wasn't mixed in so the first few sips were sickly sweet, but after that it was a solid iced coffee. The frozen coffee cubes were a great addition! If you're ever driving through Dickinson, this place is definitely worth stopping in to refresh! If I was local, this would be my coffee shop go to.

Matthew S.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere. This is an old church turned into a coffee house divided out so you can have some privacy or come with a big group. I don't drink coffee, but they also serve sandwiches that are to die for. Great spot for lunch. I will be back on my next visit.

Aili S.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Atmosphere, customer service, ownership, and food is superb!! Art work is beautiful. Sandwiches, multi-grain French toast and pour over coffee = DELICIOUS! I wish I lived here. I would be here at least once a week.

Yelp
This place is amazing. ..really amazing. ..if I lived in this area of the country. .the employees would be sick of my family and I....Starbucks doesn't even compare. ..I'm going to be disappointed when I go back home and I am forced to drink the regular Starbucks Machiatto. ..uggh......I suggest to deff stop and check this place out...GO TO "THE BREW " ...IT'S AMAZING! !!!!!!

Yelp
A great little coffee shop in an old church! It's the perfect place to relax with friends or get some work done.
google avatar

Stacey C.

Yelp
It was a busy Saturday morning and there was a line, but the baristas were friendly and we didn't wait too long. I got the purple cow, which is a berry herbal tea with milk and vanilla over ice, it's really good. My brother got the black van, which is also good. I would say the coffee is good and so is the tea from this quick experience. And I'm reasonably picky being from the Pacific Northwest.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place! Love the old church charm with stained glass windows and church pew benches (& leather couches). Relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff. My favorite coffee shop I have found so far! If I lived in Dickinson, I would come here often. Found myself quite sad that I would probably never have good reason to come back to North Dakota..!!
google avatar

Ruth B.

Yelp
Adorable coffee shop in this cute, tiny old church building. Great coffee too. As good as Cariboo. Long list of choices on the menu. It was worth getting off the highway to go there.
google avatar

Sherrie G.

Yelp
Great cup of coffee, the PBM smoothie is to die for and the ambiance is fantastic. Best cup of coffee I have had.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
I love this place! I drink a lot of tea, and they have a great variety. The food is pretty good, too. As other reviewers have said, it's expensive. It is a very small, quiet place to enjoy lunch, which is nice. Parking can be an issue considering it is near downtown. It's just parallel street parking, no lot.

Isaac B.

Yelp
Amazing place. Not sure how it only has four stars. The staff were kind and quick to bring out our drinks. The vibe is great, it's so cool that it is in an old church!
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
At first I wanted to rate this as a 2 star, but after spending a few hours working and eating I'm feeling more generous. The delicious Medora panini helped a lot. When I first walked in the line was 10 deep and stayed that way for at least a half hour. Yes, it was a busy time, but there were several factors making it slower than it needed to be. The staff is slow and unsure of themselves. To make it worse their point of sale (on an iPad) was really cumbersome. A cheap register and rented CC terminal would have been lot faster. I've seen iPad POS deployment that were excellent, this was not one of them. The old building adds some charm, but not much. Is it in an old church? Yes. Does it look like it from the outside? Also yes. Could you tell that from the inside? Not really. The use of space was poor and a real let down to what could have been a really charismatic, and historical, setup. Annex the right side, ditch the mugs,TV and carpet and make me feel like I should be praying for my coffee (which I kind of was, but not because it was in an old church) --edit: grammar--
google avatar

Kerry W.

Yelp
One of the most unique coffee places I've seen. They have delicious brew and a great atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and the orange cranberry scone is awesome.
google avatar

Jami G.

Yelp
Every time I've gotten a coffee it has been watery or flavorless. Today I got a coffee that tastes like dawn dish soap. Not wasting the money anymore, very disappointed.
google avatar

Lexie N.

Yelp
I am absolutely in love with the Brew. Beautiful atmosphere in an old church, super friendly service, and delicious food and drinks! I love the purple cow or the PBM bender (peanut butter banana mocha!) and their sandwiches are really good too. Sometimes the service can be a little slower than what one would be used to in a fast food type of coffee shop, but this isn't just some drive through bean slush in your cup!! Everything is made fresh and done the right way. This isn't somewhere you'd want to stop in for a quick morning jolt. The Brew is more of a sit-down place where you can chat with friends and spend your afternoon sipping coffee and just relaxing!! All in all, the brew is definitely the BEST coffee shop that Dickinson has to offer. Liz and the employees who work there do a great job running the place!! Keep it up guys!
google avatar

David V.

Yelp
We got stuck in Dickenson due to weather and I will say this is my favorite place in the town. Didn't expect to find a venue this hip out in rural ND. The coffee was great and the food as well. I got the medorra(?), a vegi panini and it was awesome. Defiantly worth checking out even if you want to check out the history/architecture of the building.
google avatar

Chelsea J.

Yelp
Pretty unique coffee house with cozy vibe. The brew is located in an old church. Some of the seats are old pews, slid into little nooks. The chai latte is one of the best I've had and the sandwiches are fantastic. Taking off one star for the slightly "off" employees. We will return because the food/drinks and atmosphere outweigh my preference for someone else's personality. Please do yourself a favor and try The Brew, you won't be let down.

Marcy R.

Yelp
I ordered the Cafe BonBon which basically is similar to Vietnamese coffee. It was perfect. Yum yum. If you ever find yourself in Dickinson North Dakota, come here for coffee.
google avatar

Dhianjot M.

Yelp
I really enjoy this place food though is mediocre and the coffee isn't anything special. But the atmosphere and customer service makes up for it definitely worth the 4 stars.
google avatar

Sara P.

Yelp
Super cute place. I love coming here during the winter because the inside is so cozy. Service can be a bit slow, but it doesn't really bother me. I love their amazing drinks and food. And customer service here is fantastic! The gals always have a huge smile on their face. Makes for a really incredible experience.
google avatar

Dave M.

Yelp
Very tasty coffee and tea, but the wait for the decaf pour-over was waaay too loooong. Friendly and helpful baristas. The setting in the old church was charming.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
I would give this five stars, but the serivce was a little slow. The atmosphere is so unique and I loved the church turned coffee shop. The blackberry vanilla coffee was unusual and delicious!
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
Great environment, wonderful coffee and people, really good food
google avatar

Alli B.

Yelp
We were lucky to stumble upon this coffee shop. We both got americanos and they were better than expected. It's so hard to find good coffee in a place you have never been before and The Brew offered us something that was definitely above average. We also got the cowboy which is their one and only breakfast sandwich and I was again, really pleased with the quality of ingredients. If you are passing through and looking for actual coffee and a real sandwich I would definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Patrick M.

Yelp
Service was a little slow. But the baristas know coffee very impressed. Loved the location and how it's in a old church.
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
I like the place but last time i visited coffee was weak. Be nice when i order same coffee each time that i get it same way
google avatar

Aspen L.

Yelp
When I went to the coffee shop it took 15 min to get my latte ... And it was extremely hot so I waited till I got home to drink it and I realized it didn't even have expresso in, just steamed milk .... No bueno
google avatar

Eric P.

Yelp
Very nice, cozy atmosphere for relaxing, hanging out, or talking, with many little nooks. The baked goods are good and fresh. However the coffee is very sub-par, don't go here expecting anything better than a gas station quality beverage. The baristas are friendly, however they clearly lack training and resources to become professionals.
google avatar

Patrick P.

Yelp
Great coffee, great conversation, great atmosphere! This place is a little hidden but well worth finding. If you're new to Dickinson this will become your new favorite place to unwind after a hard days work. Oh and it's an old church so you can kill two birds with one stone. Amen!
