The Brew Kettle is really good for the price. They have a mix of southern classics and standard bar food. The jalapeno cornbread is very good it is incredibly moist for corn bread. The cinnamon butter it comes with also adds a nice sweetness to it. The shrimp and grits are good. Are they the best I've had, no. But they are decent. I think the shrimp was well cooked. They were not hard or rubbery. The grits were also good. The sauce over these, though, is very heavily spiced. Most of the dishes' flavor does come from it. Now, the Cajun chicken pasta is where things go bad. The sauce is great. it's a very lightly spiced cream sauce. But the chicken in this dish is so dry. When you soak it in the sauce, it's not bad. But it's way overcooked. Another downside of this place is the service it is slow. It's not painfully long, but it does take a while to get your food. It took about 7 to 8 minutes for the cornbread to arrive and about an additional 25 to 30 after that for the rest. All of this came in at around $50 with 1 beer as part of that total amount. So it's reasonable for what it is. It's absolutely worth trying. Just avoid the chicken. Outside, there is a free parking lot, which is nice compared to other locations in the area.

This is a stop on the Summit Brew Path. We decided to try them on a Saturday afternoon. No crowd, so we were seated immediately. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well, but it was closed, being February. I was very impressed with the number of beers on tap, over 30. I went with the White Rajah, which is an IPA. It paired well with our food. I had the pastrami Reuben and my wife ordered the Smoked Cheesesteak. Both came loaded with meat and were very good. Our service was also excellent, very attentive and friendly.

Google
Pan ultimate experience. You will not be disappointed. The wings and the poutine were phenomenal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Recommended beers based on our comments.

Regan was the best bartender I have ever met in my long long years spent on this earth. I was eating my sandwich during the recent Cleveland Browns game and experienced a life altering experience after choking on a piece of mac and cheese. Regan recognized the situation and leaped over top of the bar to administer a Heimlich maneuver and later cpr. Her actions single handedly saved my life and renewed my faith in the universe. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that she was present to save the life on an old grateful elderly woman.

Google
Great beer selection “more than 30” local breweries, I had the Irish Red ale, it was really good. The wings are a Most, the were delicious, the pita nachos good, and the corn jalapeño bread it was perfect.

Megan M.

Google
The sour I tried was amazing. Great beer selection and trendy decor. Had a house salad with grilled shrimp. The blue cheese dressing could be a little stronger. Not a fan of the spices they used in the cheesy grits, their texture and flavor made them seem more like Thanksgiving stuffing (lots of rosemary/poultry seasoning) otherwise food was great.

Google
This Brew Kettle location was one of the few stops we tried out while staying the night in the area. The local beers were all solid and I appreciated the large amount of seating available. The food menu was interesting and we tried the banana parfait which was pretty good. I didn't love the service we experienced however, with our server being gone for so long I ended up closing out at the bar.

Google
Happy hour beers. Good selection, great place to watch sports. Bartender gave great recommendations on beers and talked up all the local breweries on the Summit Brew Path Passport. Burnt end poutine is always on my mind when I come into a Brew Kettle location. Another stamp on the passport for 2025!

Yelp
Amazing service!!! The outdoor area was closed but we had our small fur babies with us. We were originally going to order take out food and just bring everything outside ourselves. The bartender was SO accommodating and thoughtful. She came out to serve us and checked on us consistently even though we were the only ones outside. She made sure to bring out pups a water bowl and was just super friendly through and through! The beer selection was awesome. They had their own craft beers but also other local beers as well as a variety of ciders & seltzers on tap. Food was fantastic as well. I've been craving some German food and got the local plate...those pierogies were to die for! Caramelized onion on top was the mwah (chef's kiss!)

Yelp
I'm pretty leery of Hudson restaurants now, lol. Had high hopes for this place and the Lager House and both in a row just did not have very good food. I didn't like the decor (or lack of it), the many TVs were distracting and loud (is this supposed to be a sports bar?), the other diners were super annoying and loud and even though there were only 2 tables seated inside with us on a Tuesday evening, they all knew each other and made such a racket. I was just trying to enjoy a date night with my Boo and we were constantly repeating ourselves over the din of these "woo men" and "woo girls" hahahahaha. Okay, onto the very mediocre food--I got the shrimp and grits. The description and the picture of this dish on the website looked so buttery, creamy and delicious. What I actually got was undercooked, dry, gritty grits and SUPER salty gravy that gave no other flavor. I do admit they gave me enough shrimp for the dish but it was not very good. My BF got the brisket sandwich and it looked so dry. I had a bite and it was so plain! No caramelized onions or sauce...he said the cole slaw was not bad. This place also annoyingly adds a 3% credit card fee, FYI. So in summary, life is way too short to spend it eating undercooked, salty food in such a fratty sports bar setting.

Yelp
Combination of 36 cold frothy beers and ciders on tap. How can you go wrong? You can't! Pub grub and craft beer. Cousin and I enjoyed salads with local greens and hazy IPA after hiking Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
google avatar

Yelp
God sized open rooms. Inviting room with plenty of sunshine Great beer like all Brew Kettle locations. We had the smoke wings t go with our beer of choice - their best IPA White Rajah. We idk and bitter with a touch of malt. So good wine with the wings. Service was great. We'll be back.

Yelp
Food was great! It was not busy when we went and food came out quick and had lots of flavor and was so delicious and unique! For all the ranch lovers, they have an amazing homemade ranch!! 11/10 for the ranch alone!!

Yelp
I grew up going to the brew kettle in strongsville. My brother and I have great memories of the home made rootbeer, smokies from the back fridge, the gumbo, and the pulled pork spaghetti. It's been years since I've visited but brought my fiance while in town. The menu has changed over the years and my favorites are gone but I absolutely loved the chili. The flavor was amazing and I wish I would have gotten a big bowl of it. The wings are a huge portion and the flavor is good. My fiance enjoyed his burger a lot. I found the pulled pork to be a little dry but the sauce was great. I enjoyed the little fried onion bites. Overall great meal and felt nostalgic :) our server was great as well!

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and a Peaches and Cream Ale. The beer was very tasty and the Brussels sprouts had a very nice flavor. They also have a nice patio with a little water feature which was nice.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
I am obsessed with the chili and jalapeño cornbread at this brewery. The chili has the perfect combo of salty and sweet. The cornbread is never dry and comes with this incredible cinnamon butter. The portion sizes are generous. There is an outdoor patio in addition to plenty of space inside. They also have a large party room you can rent. The service has been very good to excellent on different occasions. And I think they make some pretty tasty beers in addition to having plenty to choose from including beers from other breweries.
google avatar

Ralph M.

Yelp
Very nice service on a quiet weekend evening on the patio, great selection of beers. Attentive, helpful , quick turnaround with our order, decent food. We loved their pulled pork salad.

John R.

Yelp
Went when they first opened and was not impressed. Thought we'd give it a second shot last night but I'm pretty sure that will be our last. Service was good, and the beer selection was great. The food, however, was awful. Wife had a wrap that was bland and I had the cheese steak sandwich. It was probably the worst sandwich I've ever eaten let alone a cheesesteak sandwich. Meat was over cooked and it had this gross pasty cheese sauce on top that ruined the entire sandwich. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cold and sterile and very bland. It's very loud and echoes because there's no fabric or tiles to absorb sound.
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
Such good food and cozy vibes! The staff is always so friendly as well! Definitely our families favorite local place!
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
This restaurant was OK. Nothing special. The food was exceptionally salty. I had the shrimp & grits. It wasn't the best I've ever had. Like I say it was exceptionally salty. The flavor was OK. They have a lot of beer here if you like beer which I don't. That's probably the highlight of this place. The service was averaged to a little slow. Not sure I'd go out of my way to come here again. The ambience was nice though I did like the interior and the little fire they have going outside.
google avatar

Laurie V.

Yelp
I was here as part of the Chocolate Walk and they are so nice and friendly and welcoming. They also gave away this amazingly huge buckeye. I didn't eat here, but I was starving by the time I got to this stop and I regret not having a bite. I'll be back!
google avatar

Valerie K.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock and it wasn't really busy. I have a really nice menu. I got that fancy elk burger. It was delicious. We tried a few of their beers. They were really good. Our waitress was good ambience was cool. It was super hot so we sat inside. I would definitely mind checking this place out!

Yelp
Went here to meet up with a friend and watch the Browns game. The place is nice, clean and plenty of TV to see the game. Odd thing tho, some of the TV feed was out of sync, so you have 2 different waves of cheering and booing every event (mostly booing). The bar was good, ample seating and seemed like a great environment to be at. Great beer selection, got to enjoy their Winter Warmer brew, has to be one of my favorites this season. Additionally, I tried the Fugly Sweater from a "guest" brewery and that was good too. Reasonable tap pricing at $7 per pint! The food....well, it was okay. I was full after dinner, but didn't enjoy the food at all. The highlight, their coleslaw, good balance of creamy and acid. Big disappointment? Their burger, fries and wings. Wings - for being "smoked" it wasn't tender nor was it Smokey taste. Tasted more grilled/charred than anything. I liked that they were meaty, for $10, I hope at least to get my value somewhere. This could have benefited from some low and slow cooking and a quick grill. Fries, dry and flavorless. Salt won't even stick to it because it has such dryness to it. Reminds me of the wide steak fries, lots of potato texture, nothing special. Finally the burger, I asked for medium, which I believe they cooked too much. The patty lacked flavor and for being 1/2 lb, didn't seem substantial at all. Go for the beer, the food, unless changed, you may be disappointed.

David M.

Yelp
I like their beers so I figured I would try the food. That was a big mistake. Tried the buffalo chicken wrap and it had almost no flavor. I sent it back and just asked for the chicken finger basket because I figured that would be quick. It wasn't. It took longer than my initial order and by the time it came, my wife was already done with her meal. I took one bite of the chicken finger and you could taste the freezer burn. Sent that back as well. You would think the manager would come talk to a party who sent back two meals but he was apparently too busy to be bothered with that. Unfortunately, won't go back here.

Yelp
We have been here countless times at this point and always have had a great experience. They have great beer and very unique food. Our favorite thing on the menu is the fried green beans. They are absolutely delicious, great as a side or an appetizer. We've had pulled pork, barbecue spaghetti (yes it sounds weird but it's good), chili, burgers. Pretty much the whole menu at this point and it's all good. Highly recommend

Marimargaret R.

Yelp
The service was average and so was the food. Would not return. Would not recommend. We had the poutine and instead of gravy the fries were floating in a puddle of broth.

Rick W.

Yelp
So I started my Brew path. My first tour, first stop. The Brew Kettle in Hudson. Food, service and ambiance all fantastic! Lauryn, our server, made suggestions. All good. I recommend to all, stop by. I will be back!
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
Great food, better staff and IMMACULATE establishment. You can tell the staff take pride in this location and really care for the building.
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
The White Raja beer has quickly joined my top 3 IPAs. It was a west coast style with a strong hoppiness and citrus taste. The tacos were delicious. The soundtrack was a great combination of 90s and alternative rock. The bartender, sorry I don't know your name, was super attentive and friendly. We arrived from Maryland at 11:00 am and the service was outstanding. We will be back before we leave.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
Brew Kettle had a killer $7 burger for Cleveland Burger Week! Their green bean fries were awesome and so was the spicy remoulade! Don't forget to try the Puff Tart! Best sour I've ever had!
google avatar

Dennis B.

Yelp
Nothing more than average quality bar food. Portions are huge, even from the kids menu. After my wife and two kids received our food we immediately concluded that our family of four could have just shared two entrees, both saving money and reducing waste. Food as nothing more than bar food. Boring, non-creative, and bland. For the category, Winking Lizard has better quality bar food, that's the reason for two stars. It's a shame because the interior is really nice and the patio is huge. We live minutes away but never returned because the food is so blah.

Cristopher C.

Yelp
This looks like a positive review but it's not. The food was good. The waitress and waitress in training were good as well. The convenience fee that was put on my bill for a family of four was uncalled for. Good service gets good tips and both of our waitresses earned their 20%. But now since the restaurant wants to add additional fee, they will get less. I even paid cash. Brew kettle, is it worth lossing a paying customer that spent almost $80 at your establishment for a convenience fee of $2.35? Well, you just did. I hope you can keep your business running when you keep loosing customers. I will never eat at your restaurant again unless you get rid of a very costly and stupid fee.
google avatar

Doug C.

Yelp
What an incredibly disappointing experience. All the food was bland and/or served lukewarm. I wanted to send the buffalo chicken dip back, but my wife wouldn't let me. It doesn't taste like buffalo chicken, it taste like blue cheese. I had a pulled pork sandwich, Luke warm and very little taste. My wife had one of the power bowls; she had to ask for additional dressing to try to get some flavor. The kids meals were blah as well. Maybe the beer is really good, I don't know. We did not try it. But if you're looking for a great meal, don't come here.
google avatar

Kelly D.

Yelp
No complaints here! Stopped in to get our brew-passports stamped and did a flight plus dinner. Huuuuge selection of house-brews and brews from other local haunts. Food options are extensive; we went with the chicken tacos and the fried beans. Everything was excellent and it was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy the good weather. Cool place! Perfect for drinks, dinner, or both. We liked the jalapeño-flavored brews the best.
google avatar

Maddie T.

Yelp
Tasty tasty!! The raspberry sour was going down like sparkling juice- so good! I recommend the fried green beans!

Amie C.

Yelp
Husband and I went for a date night. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, food tasted great and portions were generous. Will definitely be back!

Jason P.

Yelp
I hate to write this but... the food is really no better than bar food. Nothing more. The beer selection is great. But DO NOT EXPECT anything better than greasy old bar food. For example... the burnt ends poutine was disrespectful to 1) the concept and cooking and presentation of burnt ends (sorry... can't diced pieces of well done meat) and 2) gravy by serving an awful version over fried with VERY little cheese curds to make up for all the other shortfalls. I'm ok with bar food. Don't get me wrong. But this menu suggests otherwise and the last two visits were EXTREMELY disappointing.

Cory T.

Yelp
Went for dinner on a Saturday around 5. Server was nonexistent and despite a smaller than average crowd, took 20 minutes to bring out drinks. Server also forgot to put our food order in. We ended up waiting over an hour and asked for the check without even eating. 0/10 would not recommend
google avatar

Lucy G.

Yelp
Service was absolutely excellent. Our server was super nice, friendly and very attentive. Place was okay, we wanted to sit outside was had a very hard time eating as bees kept coming to our food, I'm a little allergic so I kept having to get up and move away from the table and wait for them to fly away. The pretzel was very good, the honey mustard good, the cheese was a little bland. The grilled burrito was a little weird...cold, the cheese wasn't melted on top so I'm confused as to how this was a grilled burrito If it came out cold with unmelted cheese on it. The nachos were definitely my least favorite one, they were super bland, the pulled pork as dry as overcooked chicken breast...and no flavor to it whatsoever. The kids chicken fingers were crispy and pretty okay.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
I enjoy sitting outside or at the bar. Great service, knowledgeable staff, extensive beer selection and the meals are great. TV wall is a plus for sports fans.
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
I hate to leave anything less than 5 stars, and I'll not judge too harshly since my criticism is on my menu item. I'll start with what they did right. The outdoor patio is great, and the indoor setting is nice too. The service is also good, no issues with the wait staff, service speed or anything of that matter. For the meal...I ordered the Poutine, if you aren't familiar it's a comfort food dish with French Canadien origins. I've had Poutine at fine restaurants in Montreal, and I've had it at McDonalds in Quebec City. High or low quality, what the Brew Kettle has on offering for Poutine is not poutine. It's supposed to be fries covered in cheese curds and sausage (brown) gravy. The Brew Kettle sent out the fries and the cheese curds covered in a light spritz of watery meat juice, not gravy. It was overpoweringly seasoned, and it was sparse. Think a small cup of ketchup you'd normally get somewhere, that's what the sauce came in. In no way could that juice be confused for gravy. It was almost like when you cook roast beef in a crock pot and you have the juice in the bottom, that's what they poured over the fries, except they added a metric ton of seasoning to it. So effectively I had a plate of fries and cheese curds. Yum, almost as nutritious as poutine would've been, but it's not poutine. I hope the manager or someone reads this, because the solution to this is really easy: use actual gravy.

Jim B.

Yelp
Tried the new menu tonight - terrible! I ordered the smoke cheesesteak and French fries. The fries were good. The cheesesteak, which is made with peppers and onions tasted like nothing, it literally had no taste. And the cheese was this watery disgusting substance that appeared to be poured over the sandwich. See pic avoid that cheese at all costs! My wife's salad was missing the dressing on our to go order. The old menu was spectacular please bring it back!
google avatar

Marisa D.

Yelp
After multiple times of saying "oh I need to try that place out" while passing, I finally went and tried out The Brew Kettle. The interior is very nice. It has a rustic sports theme with big barn doors and tons of tvs. When you walk in you are in the section that has tall tables and the bar, but off to the side is a room with booths and tables. At each booth there is a small tv for you to watch. The menu is large with a variety of interesting foods. The beer menu has over 20 different types. I ordered the Mac and cheese with broccoli and my fiancé ordered the bbq spaghetti. Both were very delicious. The meal sizes are big. We got our food very quickly and service was good. No complaints! Brew Kettle is a good spot to get beer, food, and watch a sports game. I would recommend people to try this place and would also come back.
google avatar

Madre M.

Yelp
Chris, the manager, needs to handle situations fairly. We were told we could not stand by the bar so we , of course, moved. Four others came to the bar and nothing was said. We left. A suggestion -- Many places take your name for seating at the bar as well as tables. Also, no need to raise your voice to customers who are more than glad to comply.
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
This place was just alright in my book. It's on the summit brew path which is why we stopped by. It's more of a restaurant than a brewery at least at this location. They have mainly other beers on tap. We both ordered sandwiches but they didn't stand out in my mind. Not amazing but not bad!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
I had the TBK Power Bowl, and it was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the texture and flavor of all the ingredients, and adding a grilled, sautéed mushroom was really excellent!

Karen V.

Yelp
Old menu WAYYY better!! They eliminated over 1/2 the items. Got Burger quesadilla for burger week and was big enough for a child. Side of tiny (like 4) overly salted Brussels sprouts was $4. Still have good beer selection. Miss bbq pork flatbread, burrito, and spaghetti.
google avatar

Troy W.

Yelp
The food I had was very bland. I had the soft pretzel with beer cheese appetizer, and the cheese was luke warm and a weird taste. Also had a burger and it was bland as well. The best thing I had was the cole slaw and that was average really. It's ok if you're in Hudson and just need some food... but so is McDonald's or a gas station hotdog.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
I have to give this place a 5 star bump because I think some of the reviews are a little unfair. If you've ever worked in the service industry, I bet you've read a couple and we're frustrated, too. Right? We came here because it's on the Summit Brew Path and I needed my stamp! I even looked up a couple different places to eat after reading some less than stellar reviews- but decided to give it a try and judge for myself. We were very delightfully surprised. We walked in and were immediately greeted by two hosts and opted to sit at the bar. The bar is big and open with plenty of seating. The place seemed new and clean. The bartender was super friendly and helpful when we asked for a couple of suggestions related to their own beers and food. She suggested the perch tacos as one of her own faves- and me being not much of a burger connoisseur, that sounded great. The food was great, the beers were spot on, and the service was excellent. I can see that if this spot gets super crowded on the weekend how it might be a different experience- but that's why we went on a Tuesday! Give it a try.
google avatar

Robin S.

Yelp
Drove about 30 minutes on a beautiful evening to try this chain. We got a poor first impression when we arrived and the patio was filled with smokers. No fresh air for us... we sat inside. Ordered at 8pm and asked for the daily special only to be told there were six available at the beginning of the day. Yup, just six servings of the special to last the entire day. Disappointed. Dining area was LOUD but the booth was comfy. Individual tvs are installed in each booth but we couldn't find any way to change the channel until the server brought a remote. The second-choice food was excellent. Tasty and cooked to order. Filling portions. The horsey slaw was especially good.

Carol K.

Yelp
On Friday around 5:30, got a table! Wait staff very good-served promptly. Mexican sweet corn dip kind of dry-hard wheat chips -made more dry. Had cup of gumbo-glad didn't get bowl, was pretty spicy but temperature of soup was just warm and I like soup steaming when gets to me. Had regular house salad, which was good/normal. Wide range of beers, fun atmosphere. Would go back for that-but would try different food next time. Was my first time there. Always appreciate getting table (we had 6 in our group), and print courteous service.
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Bison Burger and Pulled Pork Caesar Salad was delicious. Great sweet potato fries..HUGE FAN of the Oktofest. So smooth, malty, and tasty. Service was attentive. Definitely will come back.

Kelsey H.

Yelp
This place has really gone downhill. I understand that the worker shortage is negatively affecting the speed of service - we understood that and were patient. But our dinner took 2.5 hours for some reason. It was that slow. Even the beers from the bartender took ages. The food was bland - the cheese served with the soft pretzel was luke warm and tasted not at all like cheese. The bread for our sandwiches was stale and crumbly. The potato du jour was dry and mealy. Just really bad compared to years past. I don't know what has happened but it was very disappointing. Our waitress rang up our food wrong and that also took forever. Happy Hour prices were not correct. Plus she never brought us boxes to take our food home so we left it. It wasn't that good anyways.
google avatar

Yelp
7/4/19 One of the few restaurants open on the Fourth of July. Also, perfect night to sit outside. Paid 25 cents to sample each of 7 beers. Landed on the Kitka. Not bad. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with cheddar. It was fine, but nothing exceptional.
google avatar

Samalamb S.

Yelp
Great service. The kettle red ale was on point. I had the wings as my meal and they were huge! SO MUCH FLAVOR. I got buffalo sauce and they were hot! This place is great, I will be back. Love the atmosphere.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Come here for the beer selection, because they have that down. Brew Kettle makes great beer, and they have a wide variety of other local and national brews, with over 35 beers on tap when I visited. Its also a great place to watch the game, as comfortable seating and TV screens are everywhere. The food was also good, but not great. We ordered hummus appetizer that came with some good veggies but cheap chips (tostitos?) and a dip that I would not have recognized as hummus. For an entree I ordered a Wisconsin Brat Burger, not realizing that I would be basically getting a huge flat sausage on a pretzel bun. It was kind of interesting, but was more dry and lacked the fixings of a true bratwurst. The "kraut relish" did not cut it. Fries were typical. My wife had a smoked turkey salad, but was disappointed with the turkey, which was just cut up sandwich meat. So I'd give three stars for the food alone, bumped to four stars because of the brews. Come here for the beer selection...

Yelp
We ordered chili as an appetizer and it was delicious. They put the jalapenos on the side for us. Their chili is a good combination of sweet and zippy served with green onions, cheese and sour cream. For our main course we ordered fish, sweet potato fries and coleslaw. There was 2 large pieces of deep fried fish (not oily at all), a generous portion of sweet potato fries with a cinnamon butter and the best coleslaw I've ever had, not withstanding my own mother's. Our server was Pelle and he was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We go to Hudson for the Concerts on the Green and we will be going back here to dine.
