"The bucolic village setting, lush gardens and well-kept exterior bode well as you approach this lovely village inn. Once you enter, its charming spell remains unbroken, with a friendly team and bags of character. The décor blends the modern and the traditional with aplomb, whilst maintaining a proper pub feel – you'll likely find a group of regulars and their dogs by the fire. The menu changes depending on the produce available, but you can expect gently modernised pub dishes, with steaks a feature of the menu, from sirloin to chateaubriand for two." - Michelin Inspector

Food was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The presentation was phenomenal and it tasted even better!! I put a 3 for atmosphere because the decor was 10/10 and looked so fancy but we were the only people there so made us wonder why it was completely dead.

Wow! We are regulars here and always have an amazing meal but our recent experience really blew us away... We were lucky enough to have beef wellington with a side of venison pie (think posh cottage pie.) This with a carafe of gorgeous red made us feel so very special. If you haven’t been yet, please do! Service is always great and the chefs are clearly passionate. Love the atmosphere too!

An extraordinary meal. Featherlite scotch eggs; silky mackerel pate; fabulous chicken with jus - the list is endless. And also, bargain of the century. Three courses that together cost less than I would expect to pay for a main in London. Service friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. A must visit! And I’ll be coming back.

Folks, I feel you're stuck between pub and restaurant, and unfortunately the food and pricing isn't attracting those who might drive but the atmosphere is too formal to bring in the locals. The result is somewhere that pleases the occasional tourist but is otherwise completely barren. Locking the side access to the garden stops people bringing dogs as they don't want to walk them through a restaurant. Setting all the tables and serving no snacks stops people coming in for a casual drink or coming in with the whole family. I'm sorry to say it, but an experienced front of house would go a long way to overcome the above and create and more welcoming atmosphere. Could be fantastic and halfway there, and I believe can be massively improved by some simple changes.

The food and service is superb, friendly welcome and well balanced menu with a selection of four different dishes for starters, mains and desserts on the set lunch menu. The cooking is very accomplished and the set menu is very reasonably priced. We had a very pleasant Lunch and would recommend a visit to anyone.

Our first visit to The Brewers. An up market village pub. Comfortable and spacious. Staff friendly. What's outstanding is the food. All excellent. Beautifully presented and very tasty. Portion size just right. Minor criticism was the service is slightly slow.

My partner and I visited The Brewers back in March for an anniversary. The setting was warm, cosy and inviting. As it was a special occasion we treated ourselves to the tasting menu, and it didn't disappointment! The food was well balanced, beautifully seasoned and had a great combination of flavours and textures. It was all delivered at a very reasonable pace, allowing us to savour and enjoy each course in our leisurely time. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be returning!!
