Google
Food establishment is conveniently located near our hotel and offers tasty burgers and sandwiches. I enjoyed my mushroom and Swiss burger. My daughter said the pimento cheese on her Low Country burger was the best she ever had. My wife said her cheese steak sandwich was delicious.

While I was in South Carolina, for my grandson's graduation. During my visit we took a beautiful trolley ride in downtown Charleston. When we were finished with the trolley we were hungry so the brick was very close to where we were. And I have to say their food was totally amazing! Their drinks for fantastic! Is there appetizers or off the chain! We had mozzarella sticks and fried green tomatoes they were so good. I actually do not remember the name of the dishes that we have that they were fantastic! The waitress was super nice. And the signs on the bathroom walls will crack you up! I recommend this restaurant 1000%! Very cozy atmosphere! Photos I posted was from the women's room. There were more signs they're super funny!

The Brick was great. After our tour we were hit in the face with this great food smell...which lead us to this establishment. Hostess was great. Food was great.

Google
Stopped in late lunch. Nice atmosphere; lots of TVs. Outstanding onion rings. Contains actual onion. Large portion of Caesar Caesar salad. It was also quite good. Choice of sporting events on the TVs. Friendly staff.

Shanna Jarea

Google
Good atmosphere with friendly staff, but the food was very disappointing. I tried the hokie burger which was supposed to come with caramelized onions and the onions were barely cooked at all let alone caramelized. In addition, the burger patty itself was severely under seasoned and the fries were practically inedible. They tasted as if they had been sitting out for hours and redropped so they would be hot. Very stale. I wouldn’t come back, unfortunately.

We were traveling in Charleston and needed a quick bite to eat and get out of the heat. The restaurant was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon but there was no central AC or it wasn’t on to be noticeable, just some fans on the walls. When we ordered drinks my cup was leaking, instead of getting a new cup, the waiter placed my cup into a new one and I eventually just switched it myself. It just seemed like an odd interaction but we just needed to eat. We got the boneless wings and 2 salads, all the food was good but nothing to rave about. Food was quick and cheap

Google
The food was good. Surprisingly, I ate all of the hamburger I had, which is definitely not normal. We will be back.

Staying right next door at the Visitors Center RV Parking so we wanted something close. We lucked out!! Great atmosphere, great food & great service. Thank you Travis!!!

Yelp
Food here is delicious! Environment is top tier for a bar. Communal seating encourages conversation and was a good experience for me at least! I came here for dinner with a date before we went to the Andy Grammer concert. All the appetizers we got (mini-corn dogs and fried green tomatoes) were awesome and very hot when they arrived. The Classic burger and fries were melt in your mouth delicious along with a nice cold beer! Excellent service!

Leyla O.

Yelp
Had really high expectations based on pictures of the food and environment. 5 minutes after sitting down we were finally approached (keep in mind there are probably 2 tables and a few people at the bar). After ordering water and a pepsi no one came to our table for another 10 minutes. We watched our server hang out at the bar on her phone or laughing with coworkers. Our appetizer came out probably 60 seconds before our meal did. We ordered pretzels and cheese but didn't eat it since our food came out right after. Honestly the burger was fine but the cheesesteak was folded meat with a couple onions thrown in and a very watered cheese sauce that was mostly on the plate rather than the sandwich. The only good thing was the fries. Having worked in a restaurant it was very obvious we were not enjoying our time. It's one thing is the service is good and the food is bad or vice versa but both were bad.

Yelp
Cute little bar with good food! Service was fast and space was clean. I tried the fried shrimp po boy and would definitely come back for it again. Also best fried pickles I've ever tried!!

Yelp
The Brick is a downtown sports bar that has a light, big city feel. The Brick is an awesome place to watch a game and (as you might expect) there are TVs everywhere. Drink specials are nice (especially downtown) and we ordered a few beer buckets while we watched the game. We tried a few of the pretzels, sandwiches, boneless wings, and tots. Food was all just below The Brick's price point and our sandwiches, served on huge buns, were mostly bread. Our main feedback would be to 1) reduce food portion size and/or increase the food cost/quality, 2) assume that patrons order "traditional" *bone-in wings (to avoid any server awkwardness/confusion) when wings are ordered, and 3) frequently tidy up the dining room and restrooms as patrons leave. While we understand what The Brick is aiming for, we feel that these two changes will put them in the conversation of other successful downtown sports bars (Beerworks, etc.).

Yelp
Best service and amazing food! Travis and Maggie were adamant and knew all their stuff!! Loved this location and will definitely have to come back here again. If you're looking for a cheaper, more local spot in Charleston this is IT!!!

Yelp
Went here for a Hokie football game and had a blast! The atmosphere was so fun. The drinks were cold and the apps were exactly what we wanted on a game day. Servers were all nice and didn't make us feel rushed.

Yelp
Ordered the Chicken Philly with just chicken, cheese , and mayo. I'm basic. But it was seasoned so well and the chicken was shredded instead of bulky chicken ie es which I love! The fries were cooked perfectly. Not too burnt or undercooked. It's kid friendly which we enjoyed. Great service and great atmosphere. They played good music and was very lively. We parked in the parking garage which was $5 the day of our visit. Will def come back when I visit SC again.

Yelp
Maggie and Travis were amazing during our time there. Must visit! Very timely with the orders and very good conversations from each of them!

Yelp
Your typical hole-in-the-wall burger spot. Had a great French Dip sandwich. Would be an ideal spot to watch college games on a Saturday night.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to relax and watch "the game," I would NOT recommend "The Brick." Our family of five (including three young daughters) came to "The Brick" for a Sunday afternoon March Madness game at the recommendation of our hotel. To start with, I will say that our waitress was gracious and helpful. She answered questions about the menu and offered suggestions. However, our family was very surprised to be approached by someone asking for food during our meal. The person was clearly in need and pulled up a seat at our table. We agreed to get them food as we were surrounded by our young children and in a very uncomfortable situation. Before leaving, we spoke with the manager to let them know. We didn't want anything other than to inform the staff and potentially stop future incidents for other patrons. They were apologetic, but acted as if this was a rarity. Within moments, we unfortunately noticed another person who was wondering the restaurant for support though. That led us to believe that this might be an ongoing problem for the restaurant. Overall, the food was good tasting bar fare. That being said, I would not recommend this place to others. The manager deducted $20 from our bill, but it did not suffice for the situation that we experienced. I hope that the owner of this restaurant reads our review and makes changes to ensure this does not happen again. On a side note, my husband is a VT alum and was happy to support another Hokie alum (who established the tavern), but we were simply shocked and disappointed by "The Brick." I will be sharing this review on other platforms to help families and Charleston visitors make a more informed decision.

Yelp
We ventured in here for a casual lunch. It wasn't too busy. They have darts in the back, TVs up to watch sports, and mostly high tops and bar seating. There were some low tables. It was seat yourself when we walked in. We were served pretty quickly once we found our seats. We ordered mac and cheese bits and I got the boneless wings. My friend got the traditional wings and loved them (juicy and lots of Buffalo sauce). I got sweet Siracha as my sauce for my boneless. I loved how crispy the outside was. Almost like fried chicken texture. The mac and cheese bites were simple but good and came with ranch to dip. We liked this place and looks like they have a good happy hour.

Yelp
I have been coming to The Brick since before Covid to watch many Browns games. This great establishment is in a great location, and has the best staff in town! They have great food, and a huge assortment of drinks. It's an amazing place to watch sports, and the staff are Super Heroes getting a huge crowd all of their orders correctly, quickly and never an issue with our bill! Absolutely an incredible place to hang out, I can't recommend it more!

Brooke A.

Yelp
Best Browns bar in the lowcountry. Sara is amazing and always so welcoming when we are there.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Went here to watch the game and it was packed! We found a couple of seats on the side and the waitress was so nice and allowed us to order food even though we were not at a seat! Thanks Sara W! The staff is amazing! It's was packed but they still checked on us repeatedly. Food was ok.
google avatar

Julia E.

Yelp
Merely was okay. First off, the inside of this place is freezing cold! No one greets you and there is no sign to seat yourself. So after you stand there for awhile looking dumb you may finally be told you can sit wherever you like. One ordered tomato soup that was chock full of dried basil and had an odd flavor. Canned would've been better honestly. Kids had fries which were good. I got French dip on the recommendation of the server and I liked it but the house chips that came with were over cooked and not edible due to a bad flavor. Overall, I probably wouldn't be back, but if I did go back I would not bring the kids and I would order different things. The restaurant was clean.
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
Reasonable for a quick meal, but a few lame things. First, there were two people that I'm almost certain we're homeless just wandering around at two separate times during dinner. Just seemed odd. Second, they gave us apples with the kids meal, we asked for fries as a replacement for one, they brought fries for both, we said we only needed one, and they brought it back after that and said we could have it. But then charged us for it.

Kayla U.

Yelp
Cool place with a nice sport bar vibe. Robin was our server and was amazing! Tasty food.
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
Great location and friendly bartenders. Haven't had the food but the menu does look pretty good. We went for a few drinks and had an overall good experience. The tables are very sticky lol but the drinks are good! (Just beware that the house Bourbon is Kentucky Gentleman!!)

Steve C.

Yelp
Fish tacos were good, hamburger was marginal, fries perfect, staff helpful, clean large menu
google avatar

Grady P.

Yelp
Good bartender. Nice and cold beer selection.. Food was only ok. We went to 3 different sports bars in downtown Charleston while there, none were great.

Yelp
Awesome lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Took the kids to the museum around the corner and planned on stopping in another restaurant- however, when we saw the other menu had half a PB&J for $14, we left. The Brick was just around the corner and had $8 kids meals! Grilled cheese and mac'n cheese for the win. We started with an awesome appetizer of two pretzels with beer cheese and grain honey mustard- both great and kids loved them both! $4 glass of Rosè and sparking rosè was a bonus for this Mama! Then we had a veggie burger and tomato basil soup! Excellent choices all around. The veggie burger was full of actual veggies which was refreshing to see. Rounded it out with an unhealthy French fry side but worth it. Fries were similar to a Mac Donald fry- small but crisp and good. The sweet potato tots were excellent as well! Back to the cheese laden tomato basil soup- it was hearty and not smooth but not chunky. It was a prefect bowl to warm us up on the cool March Sunday. Our server handled the 3 kids with grace and made it a place we would come to again!

Yelp
The atmosphere and staff here were awesome! Very friendly and personable, but also knowledgeable about Charleston tips and tricks for parking/touring around. The food was just okay, the burgers seem to be the staple but they had a good selection of items on the menu if that's not what you're feeling. The food did come out fast though and was accurate to the order. We were in on a Thursday night around 7pm. They also have indoor and outdoor seating, so you can bring your dog and sit outside. They also had a large beer and cocktail menu and the bartenders are happy to experiment with shots.

Bob M.

Yelp
Great local sports bar. Staff was friendly and could talk sports! Lots of TVs and great atmosphere.
google avatar

Melanie C.

Yelp
Place is great especially if watching sports! Melanie was really sweet and awesome. Does help that we have the same name! The boneless wings are great as was the burger! Must visit if in Charleston.

Yelp
The vibe is fun and exciting. Good place to have some drinks. Food not so hot. Really it was cold and had no flavor. Service was good.

Debanjan D.

Yelp
Great martinis! Fantastic and very accommodating service. Been going there to catch my college team. The entire staff is so friendly. I've had nothing but GREAT service at this establishment.

Connor M.

Yelp
Pretty rough experience. We walked in and were waiting at the front door, waited 5 minutes before being told to sit anywhere we want. We end up sitting outside, and after 10 minutes nobody came to greet us. So we ended up going inside and sitting at a table near the big 4-screen Tv. Waitress comes after a couple minutes, I got the boneless wings which were delicious and plentiful. She got the chefs salad. Halfway through she found a bug in her salad! We would have informed the waitress but we weren't checked on after our food was dropped off. Waited 20 minutes after finishing our food for our waitress to attend to us and give us our check. Good wings, otherwise bad experience.

Yelp
We stopped in here after our visit to the Charleston museum. The restaurant is right across the street from the Charleston visitors center, which is a hub for most who visit Charleston. We stopped in for lunch at 11:30on a Thursday morning. Service was super. Lots of daily lunch specials plus the regular menu. I had the appetizer portion of the Buffalo shrimp. It was amazing and so many shrimp! The shrimp flavor really came through and as a native I could tell the shrimp were fresh, even through the Buffalo sauce. It came with celery and homemade blue cheese dressing! My friend had a grilled sandwich. It was turkey and Swiss and the bread must have come from a local bakery. Great selection of beers on tap. Don't miss this l place!!

Marianne B.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent! Quick and thorough! Fun sports bar with lots of TVs. Try the sweet tots!

Yelp
Nothing beats finding a great tavern...! Well..Maybe finding a million bucks but let's focus on this tavern for now...! This unpretentious yet chic-like tavern provides mouth watering bar food and it showcases an extensive full bar that'll make a sailor's heart skip a beat..as it did mine...! Across from Charleston's Visitor Center, The Brick makes for a perfect pit stop while waiting for your city tour bus or once the tour is over, enjoying some happy hour cocktails and amazing food before calling it a night. Staff - friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Food ordered - *Drunken Chicken Club - The bourbon marinated chicken was cooked to mouth watering perfection & tender to its last bite and there was enough crispy meaty bacon in every bite too. The Duke's mayo made this sandwich an extra creamy delight...scrumptious is definitely an understatement..! *Boneless fried wings (1Lb...don't judge..!) - best boneless wings I've had in a darn long time..! The batter was light and perfectly seasoned. It didn't overpower but in fact, it complimented the tender, juicy and flavorful chicken taste. They have all sauces to meet your palate's pleasure. All dishes are served with shoestring fries. If you do nothing else while in Charleston, this place is a must foodie stop...! Bon Appétit..!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place to watch your favorite team even if you're from out of town. You have your option of sitting indoors or outdoors, but if you want a table indoors you better get there early. They offer a full bar including some great local beer selections and the food menu is quite comprehensive to suit everyone. During busy times service can be slow possibly because they are shorthanded so please be patient given the situation.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
My husbands burger was not cooked through and it gave him food poisoning. He's been up all night.

Macaylan A.

Yelp
In Charleston for our honeymoon & stopped in for a late lunch - good service, sat outside on a beautiful day- ordered the cheese fries & the cheeseburger egg rolls, both delicious! Also ordered wings- Very much a bar atmosphere, so I'm glad we sat outside. But a good experience overall!

Yelp
On my seemingly endless search for great burgers in Charleston, The Brick was on my list of spots recommended by local foodies so I stopped in one afternoon this week. Decent selection of local beers on tap combined with big brands. Really friendly and attentive bar service I ordered the Classic Burger (American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and Duke's mayo). I was asked if I wanted medium well and I requested medium (I'm glad I did since I think medium well would have reduced the flavor and made the burger drier). The burger was really good as advertised with my only criticism being the bun - it didn't hold up particularly well and halfway through it began to crumble so I was reassembling my burger between bites. Still - a solid burger even by Charleston's competitive standards. The fries were plentiful and basic shoestring. Extra points for offering malt vinegar! Looks to be a great bar for sports events and I can definitely see a coming by again!!

Libby C.

Yelp
Great service and a super fun place to watch college football. The bartenders were great and made solid recommendations for apps and beer. Would highly recommend

John B.

Yelp
Game night so it was packed. But the servers were very nice and fast. Food was great we got several different items for the table and everything was great. Highly recommended.

Yelp
It's a bar. All ages and families.Limited menu.Wife and I had the burger. Burger was good! Fries would have been good but they were cold. Waiter took $500 off my bill because of my cold fries "excellent service ". Staff was cool. A decent lunch spot for a good burger
google avatar

Moira R.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here. Sweet Potato tots and potato chips we're great. Would definitely return.

Yelp
I only went to their old locations once or twice, so I had no issues with comparison at their new location. Their Happy Hour specials are really good, with lots of $3 and $4 drink and snack options. They offer HH Monday - Friday from 4-7, so it's a really great deal. Their Mac & cheese bites are pretty tasty, and worth a try. The mini corndogs are also really good and make me feel like a kid again.
google avatar

Yelp
We chose this place at random for a quick lunch while out driving around Charleston. Upon entry, masks are required. We were sat at a socially distant table by the bar. We were quickly greeted by a friendly employee who took our drink and food orders. Our food came out quickly. The fried pickles were flour based, but still pretty good. We also got the pimento cheese tray and let me tell you... that pimento cheese is on point. Whoever makes it... major props. We all got various entrees and they were all good. I was pleasantly surprised considering this place looked like a typical bar with bar food. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would visit again given the chance.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a bite to eat and throw back a few drinks. Swung in on a Friday at about 8pm and though a bit busy was able to be seated with our party of 3 for dinner. Started off with fried pickles which were good, end of the basket got a bit soggy. I felt the sauce was lacking some more horseradish but the rest enjoyed. I got the steak and cheese for my meal which was delicious. If you are looking for good pub/bar food can certainly recommend.

Yelp
I was trying to go to a rum bar for my birthday but it wasn't open so we were driving around trying to find a place. We found this place and saw they closed at 2am. We came in and the bartender told us he didn't have any servers but he would get to us. We saw they were only serving tacos and had drink specials which was up our ally. The tacos were sooo good I had the chicken street tacos. We really enjoyed it there. We had 2 servings of the tacos and 3 drinks and it wasn't expensive. First thing my bestie said was the last minute places always are a good spot. I must say we definitely enjoyed our last night in Charleston at the Brick.

Yelp
Food is good! Ambiance is good! Loved loved loved our server Betsy! Totally recommend!

Yelp
The service here was great. Shoutout to the dude with the backwards hat, black ear piercings, and brown beard. I had the Cajun dry rub boneless wings with some fries. Good stuff and definitely better price and taste than BWW

Yelp
I've been going to The Brick since my first days in Charleston. Back when East Bay/Market was the place to be for nightlife... Brick was our go to spot. My friends and I didn't even need to discuss it. Friday night, head to the Brick and you'd find us. Times have changed since then. For one, I don't have a standing reservation at the bar with my buddies anymore. Secondly, The Brick burnt down four years ago. Fast forward... after many rumors and much anticipation, The Brick has finally re-opened their doors. Except they've done so in a new spot, which I honestly think will work out better for them. Some say it's a poor location but I 100% disagree. They're not on King Street which is a good thing when you're looking for a neighborhood bar that doesn't have a line around the corner. They've already got Feathertop down the street and new neighbor Sol just opened a huge bar right next door making this area its own little destination. I've been in a few times and it's always been fun. I even popped in a couple times for drinks when they opened to find out that it feels just like the old Brick. Yes, it's cleaner and newer, and bigger, plus there's a new outdoor patio, and some brand new dart boards... okay so it's not exactly the same. But they did carry over a very important piece of the Bricks old charm... the bar! I don't know how they did it but it's back and better than ever. Make sure to saddle up to that baby when you stop in to snuggle with a piece of Charleston nightlife history! The bar isn't the only familiar thing you'll find though... they even got some of the same staff members to come back. Just like the olden days, I haven't had one trip into The Brick where I didn't see Big Pat behind the bar. I've also been in for lunch where I had a killer burger and I recently attended their monthly Taco Kick competition. The Brick 2.0 is definitely an updated version with cool theme nights and a hip location, but deep down it's still the neighborhood bar I know and love.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place more but I think it was just the timing of which we came. It seems like a great sports bar, but our waiter seemed very new and couldn't answer some basic questions about the menu or drinks. We also didn't get the right drink, but they were kind to comp one of them. I'd be willing to try this place again in the future, but maybe on a Monday night or Thursday night with football.

Jane K.

Yelp
Great service and a very nice atmosphere. We had the shrimp Poboy and their fresh brewed iced tea and it was all delicious. Went back for another meal, but they were closed for the day for a small renovation.

Becky W.

Yelp
Pretty unimpressed. We were seated right away, and they took our order quickly. Then the disappointments started. I didn't get the soup I ordered, and it never came- even when we reminded the waiter. When we later asked for the bill, he didn't apologize for the missing soup, but just said he'd take it off the bill. My husband said the wings were good, but my Charleston Dip sandwich was practically tasteless. Very bland and dry. The fries were delicious though!
