The Brick

We arrived the second they opened so we had free range of where to sit. Maybe 5 minutes later, people started piling in, filling all of the remaining seats. We were lucky we got there when we did. I’m gluten free and was so excited about all of the options I had. We started with the GF mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The cheese pull on those things was insane! Easily the best mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had, and that’s including ones made at home. Then I had a classic GF pizza for my entree and my husband had a chicken parm sub. Neither one of us could finish the entrees though because we desperately wanted to save room for the showstopper: GF fried Oreos. I’ve never even been able to experience a friend Oreo before. It was amazing. And through it all, the waitress was very attentive even though the restaurant was packed.

One of the best pan pizza spots around. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful. They took time to explain the menu and even gave garlic knots on the house, which was a really thoughtful touch. The pan pizza was incredible. Just a heads-up, it’s huge and definitely best if you’re with a group. The crust was thick and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I also tried the hummus plate and it was spot on. Super fresh, well-seasoned, and served with warm pita that made it even better. The vibe of the place is cozy and welcoming, and the food quality really stands out. Will absolutely be going back.

The most amazing gluten free food! I never get to eat mozzarella sticks, and their GF ones were amazing! The bbq chicken GF pizza was amazing too! Very kind staff as well. Highly recommend!

The pizza here was better than average. The garlic knots are delicious and the service was excellent. Parking can be a challenge at times but I would definitely visit again.

Come through the doors of a large variety of Italian dining. Fantastic go to for gluten free. The smell of garlic and fresh bread greets you when you walk in! A ton of menu options and pizza varieties. Can't wait to check out the desserts.

They had so many amazing vegan options! Pizza was excellent! They gave the table garlic knots on the house and made them vegan for me 😁. They even had vegan desserts! Service was great! Chill pizza spot with outdoor seating.

It was very nice experience. We got very delicious pizzas, ordered BBQ chicken, pepperoni and white pizza with cheese- they were amazing. The best pizzas in my life. Waiter was very nice and polite. We will come here again for sure. Prices are nice!

Took a chance for a late night bite to eat. The service was great and quick. Our server had plenty of patience and was glad to go through the menu and share complementary garlic knots. We’re very pleased with the whole experience. Also, aside from an entire classic menu, they offer a full vegan menu!

Came back again and the pizza was still fantastic. Recommend the everything bagel and the smoky margarita that doesn't skip on any flavor and can tell is freshly made. Small place with limited parking but the pizza is worth the drive and parking annoyance.

Another awesome pizzeria in Hoboken that truly caters to vegans! The Brick has a really nice vegan menu, and whenever I'm in the area, it's one of my favorite spots to grab a bite with the family. On nice days we love sitting outside, but we've also eaten inside and done takeout -- all great experiences. Service is great and pretty quick considering they're making the pizza from scratch and baking it. One of my favorite touches is that when you dine in, they bring out complimentary vegan garlic knots for the table. Such a great surprise and they're delicious! Yes, it's a pizzeria (and their wood-fired pizza is amazing -- I always go for a plain vegan pie), but what I really can't stop thinking about are their vegan Beyond Beef tacos. They're seriously next level -- served with a mango jalapeño salsa that is to die for. I've even tried to recreate that salsa at home because it's so crave-worthy... but no luck. Often imitated, never duplicated lol The vibe inside is chill and casual - classic Hoboken. You can show up dressed up or super relaxed, and it always fits. Writing this review is making me want those tacos again later today. If you're vegan (or not!), definitely check this place out. You can't go wrong! I don't have a pic of the tacos because I eat them immediately lol

A very cute rustic pizza with a comforting vibe. The veggie pizza was great and crispy. Bruschetta pizza was disappointing. Didn't expect red onions and no cherry tomatoes on it. The pesto pasta was really great. Subbed out the tortellini with penne because wanted something lighter. The sauce was yummy and flavorful. The garlic knots were AMAZING!!!

Come here when you are done with the bars. Get a slice. Get a pie & some garlic knots. You need the garlic knots. This place is tasty and always busy.

Incredible menu featuring so many delicious vegan options! I had a veggie Beyond Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich but opted for non-vegan cheese. It was the right choice.

Got the penne vodka pizza, but without Parmesan as the group was vegetarian. I appreciate that the restaurant was able to keep it vegetarian for us! Overall the food was great, including the bruschetta and sweet mango pizza without bacon. I loved how accommodating they were to the various diets at the table. But we often had to remind the waiters of the food they forgot to bring us. It was busy inside, and we did have a large party which can add to the confusion/forgetting, but this happened more than once while we dined and it got very frustrating to constantly remind the waiters of the food we didn't receive.

Free Hot & Delicious Garlic knots, Super fresh creative pies and whole lotta love. I tried the Buffalo chicken, Penne vodka half-half pizza and it was spot on! Nice service & classic pizzeria ambiance. Highly recommend the Brick for your next Pizza run!

If you are looking for absolutely anything gluten free, this is your place! The GF mozzarella sticks are delicious! I enjoyed a relaxing evening on their cozy patio.

Free garlic knots when you dine in?! Sold! And they were yummy; soft and garlicky. Our next favorite we're the waffle cheese fries! Yummy for sure. Caesar salad with chicken was also delicious but the chicken was not fresh, it tasted like it was made earlier that day or leftover but the salad itself was good and I loved the amount of cheese and dressing they added. As for the pizza, it was ok--not my favorite. It was lacking flavor for me personally but the Mozz was great. Service was ok, they were friendly and welcoming but not very attentive. It was also really cold inside, as if they didn't have the heat on, my friends were wearing their coats...inside and still cold.

So happy about the vegan options!! Tried to nachos and mozz sticks, hit the spot. Love that it's open till. Good time and has many options to choose from!!!

Had a meat lover's slice and really liked it. The crust was thin, crust, and sweet. The sweetness was odd, but I liked it and it left a sweet taste in my mouth. The meatball, pepperoni, and sausage on top were tasty, especially the sausage, which seemed of decent quality. 8.5/10 slice

When I first heard of this place on Instagram I had to go check it out for myself. The Brick in Hoboken is a solid spot for vegan options, which is what drew me in. We tried the vegan mozzarella sticks which weren't anything mind-blowing but enjoyable, the vegan eggplant parm which was decent, and the vegan chocolate fudge cake which was pretty good. The place has a cozy atmosphere and the staff was courteous, making for a pleasant experience. I also took a pizza to go (not pictured) and while it was okay, I've definitely had better vegan pizza elsewhere. Overall, while I've had better vegan food in general, The Brick still offers a variety of options that make it worth checking out.

Food was delicious would def recommend!! Was really good! I got the chicken Parmesan and would recommend coming any time!

Got the Greek salad. Which was spectacular, garlic bread came with the meal which was an added bonus. Excellent service and a calm interior! Highly recommend!

I made my way over to The Brick because I saw they have a vegan menu and guess what...THEY DO!! As well as a regular menu too. My sister and I ordered for pickup and it definitely did not make it home because we ate it all before getting there LOL. I have to say, we could not narrow down what we wanted from the vegan menu. Everything sounded amazing! They sell everything from BBQ pulled pork, chicken parm and cheesesteaks; ALL VEGAN. My sister and I ordered the buffalo chicken pie with a vegan caesar salad. This was the best vegan pie and caesar salad we ever had! The buffalo sauce on the pizza highlighted it well and honestly, I couldn't even tell it was vegan. I always struggled finding good vegan cheese and this place really impressed me. The caesar was perfectly coated in dressing and the vegan shredded parm was the highlight. Highly suggest this place especially if you want to try amazing vegan bites!

I've never tried the Brick in my four years of living in Hoboken. Napoli's next door is typically my go-to pizza spot. However, I had some Uber Eats credit and the Brick was the only pizza spot nearby on Uber Eats, so we decided to give it a try for pick up on NYE. We ordered the Square Sicilian pie and it was really good. The bottom crust was crispy enough, but the top was doughy, fluffy, and cheesy. We ordered this as one of the pizza pies for our little NYE get-together so I actually didn't even try it fresh. I tried it reheated the next day and that's how good it was. I think I found my new Sicilian pie go-to!

First time at the Brick to try their vegan options. Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was light, right amount of spicy and delicious! Now to the important bit - the pizza! I got the vegan jackfruit with a lightly spicy mango slaw. Totally yummy but not heavy and the crust is super light & crispy. And I'm not even vegan! Give this place a try - really!

We came with a big group and everything we ordered was delicious. Vodka Penne Pizza, Wings, Fried Ravioli, Burgers- everything was so good!!!

Plenty of vegan options, free garlic knots, the buffalo flower & sweet fries were kinda too oily, but otherwise great food. Vegan baked penne is a must try. Service was fast. Ambience was nice. No parking!

Really good pizza, followed by an extensive menu! Their appetizer selection was amazing - buffalo cauliflower, bacon brussel sprouts, and the calamari were perfect! The most impressive, which I would highly recommend are two pizzas; the Garlic Knot Pizza, and the Everything Bagel Pizza. These were definite faves - and were HUGE. You'd definitely come here with a to-go bag for your leftovers.

The food was amazing. The service was excellent and the ambience was perfect for what we were looking for. Played back and fun! Daniella was a great server and really enjoyed the fun she brought to our table!

This restaurant is so delicious. Their super gluten free and vegan friendly menu is amazing. We usually order delivery but dining in took it to another level. Everything was so fresh. It really blew our socks off. The inside of the restaurant was so cute and classic as well. The service is top notch! Cannot wait to return!

Got the chicken parm sandwich- sauce was not very good. It was very average for a Hoboken restaurant.

Great food! Great service. I got the penne vodka pasta pizza and it was delicious. Ambiance is decent we sat outside cause it was a nice day. Overall would recommend. Also don't be afraid to check out the vegan food. I'm not vegan but I came with two vegans and I tried some of their food and it was delicious.

10/10 vegan pizza! Even watched them make it and saw no cross contamination while preparing.

Love, love, love The Brick! As a vegetarian, it's hard to find delicious vegan food in the area but this spot nails it! The vegan Philly cheesesteak + vegan beef tacos are a must-try!!

I like my pasta the same way I like my orange juice, with vodka. If only people looked at them in the same way. If I tell people I have penne vodka everyday, they'd just assume I really like Italian food. If I say I have a screwdriver everyday, I somehow have a "problem". I wonder if there would be less stigma if I just ordered the penne vodka, but asked for no penne. Anyways, the penne vodka paired very nicely with the screwdriver I made.

This place has a full vegan menu and everything I've had is absolutely delicious! Today I tried the vegan caprese salad and it's the best I've had so far! Highly recommend this spot. You can't go wrong with anything !

As always, the Brick does not disappoint. We Had a nice outside table with friends. Such a pleasant evening to seat alfresco. We had one of our favorites. Bacon Sprouts. ( blackened Brussels sprouts with bacon and fresh Parmesan cheeses.). The entrée, spaghetti with meatballs was delish. The meatball were flavorful and tender. The spaghetti was rich and Al Denté. The service was , as always, excellent. Our server was friendly, warm and attentive to our requests. I can tell you, one of the best places for Italian cuisine , pizza and ambiance. We had an awesome dinner at the Brick! We are not vegan but we ate mostly vegan food and we couldn't even tell the difference. We really enjoyed the complimentary cheese and vegan cheese balls, beyond burger, asparagus fries, and chocolate fudge cake. Our server Daniela was so personable and helpful with her recommendations!

Upside: Vegan pizza here is top 5 of vegan pizzas I've ever had. The buffalo "chicken" pizza is my favorite. Definitely worth trying. Not sure what cheese they use but it's good. Downside: Prices are definitely on the higher side. Vegan desserts were subpar-- chocolate cake didn't even taste like chocolate. Vegan pasta dish (eggplant w penne) was super bland. I've never actually eaten at the location, have only had takeout (delivery and pickup). It may be a different experience if you eat-in.

NYC QUALITY PIZZA AT A FRACTION OF THE COST!!!! WOW, this place just blew my socks off. A big group of us (8) came in looking for a big spread of food to fill us up. We ordered the garlic knots, buffalo wings, and two large pies--one of them was plain/vodka marghetita, the other was buff chick/sausage. The garlic knots are no lie some of the best I've ever had. Crispy first bite with a soft dough and an incredible amount of seasoning on the outside. I would order these a million times over for a late night snack. Wings were way better than I was anticipating. Solid, well sauced, and big wings were a great appetizer. There's not enough words in the English language to describe the pedigree of this pizza. Seriously, each type of pizza was fresh, crispy, and flowing in flavor. The flavor of the buffalo chicken, the freshness of the tomato sauce, the amount of sausage, the variety of the vodka--our whole group loved each type of pie we had. Whether it's for a family dinner, food for game day, or late night eats after a night out, The Brick DELIVERS in value and quality!! Our server, Daniella, was so kind and attentive and so readily accessible to get us extra utensils, sauces, and plates. All in all, we were so pleased and satisfied with everything this establishment had to offer and will absolutely be frequenting this place again--hopefully soon!!

The vegan gods have blessed me by showing me this place. Honestly most of the vegan friendly places in Hoboken are decent at best but nothing to write home about. This place has such an extensive and delicious menu. Delivery took no time at all and I ordered garlic knots, baked ziti, and a Neapolitan pastry and I am absolutely ordering another three course meal a few days later before I return back to the city! If you weren't sure about the vegan food here, this is your sign to go for it!

The pizza was really fresh, brought out super hot! I only regret not taking a picture of the margherita pie and the garlic knots. We were too excited to eat! We had such an amazing time, and the service was incomparable. Very kind, attentive and made the experience so much better
