"The Bridge Room is open for lunch, pre-theater meals, and dinner. Guests choose between two, three, or four course menus, or a full tasting with two levels of optional wine pairings. The chef fuses Asian flavors with Australian produce to create dishes like ocean trout with silken eggplant, sesame, puffed rice, organic soy sauce, and grilled rock kelp. Many dishes are slow-smoked over binchotan charcoal in the Japanese robata grill style." - Sophie Davies

Sydney’s true & only original true music pub, no frills or pretentiousness. Has a long history of live bands- listed on their website. I’m glad they’ve lasted and hope they continue despite all the development going on.

Saw Boom Crash Opera and The Models on Easter Saturday. It’s a grungy old pub that has fun bands playing. Service at the bar was quick. Crowds are friendly and staff all very efficient and friendly. Especially pleased that bar staff came out to tell people sitting outside for a drink in between acts that Boom Crash were on much earlier than expected, so we didn’t miss too much. Would definitely recommend bringing ear plugs though - the bass and high notes can really blast your ears. And wow, get ready to feel the kick drum playing your ribs. The hard floor and the steps in and out of the venue can really wreak havoc on older knees and backs when you’ve gotta stand for an hour or two for the concert - but I guess it’s the price you gotta pay every now and again.

It's a grunge joint which gives it an authentic old charm. Some interesting and unique characters frequent this place. The good thing is they get excellent & iconic bands to perform and have done so for more than 20 years . Well worth a visit.

The staff were so nice and friendly and obviously enjoying the artist. And they let us sit outside and finish our drinks in the garden until very late. Super fun night 🌙. With the new light rail path is super easy to get to.

Saw "Don't Change" at the INXS show on Sat, March 15. The band was fantastic, but the venue was unbearably hot—A/C and fans were useless. Packed too tightly, it felt like 50°C. I felt so unwell I had to leave halfway through the show. Extremely disappointing experience.

I attend sutra sunrise here July 6 2025, I have been many times before however I did not feel safe and witnessed extreme disregard by staff for RSA standards. Bathrooms were inaccessible and people urinated all over the place, I saw medical emergencies being ignored, no crowd control. When I voiced my concerns with staff multiple times I was either laughed at or blown off. I like to party, yes but I've seen first-hand how this level of negligence results in tragedy and decided to leave early for safety concerns. This is not how sutra sunrise events were in the past however I did attend another sutra event at kinselas on Oxford that was also completely unacceptable in terms of safety. I don't recall ever having to leave other venues due to safety concerns. If you also experienced this you can report to RSA board like I will be doing. Include any videos you have to support your claims. Shame on the organizers.

Hello 1975! It has a certain charm, the arty, the eccentrics, the flying sky high, all gather here. Music in the "grunge" bar, black everything, rough around the edges, shoulder to shoulder, plastic glasses. I went for TOFOG and was more entertained by the guy on guitar in the front bar "Tim", and the distinguished patron serenading a woman with an opera number. But definitely not by the guy who kept yelling out "Are you not entertained" and "By the glory of Rome". What was that?? If you want something to absorb the alcohol you're not getting it here. Staff were great, friendly, tolerant, and they just did it all easily. Very cool posters on the walls and the beer garden is Las Vegas Desert Hotel retro. Loved it!
