Taquiza Debuts Second Location With a Full Bar and Ocean Views | Eater Miami

"I learned that Taquiza's new North Beach outpost, set up at the recently-renovated Broadmoor Miami Beach hotel at 7450 Ocean Terrace, opens this weekend and mirrors the South Beach menu of tacos, sides, and breakfast items while offering a larger footprint with seating for about 25 indoors and 30 outdoors and boasting Atlantic Ocean views. The pièce de résistance is a full bar menu—which the South Beach location doesn’t have—developed by bar manager Nikos Mantzaridis (who has done stints at places like Beaker and Gray) and a “mysterious young gentleman who still wishes to remain anonymous,” featuring six cocktails intended for oceanside drinking as well as Mexican sodas, a rotating craft-beer selection, sangrias, wine, and Micheladas. The restaurant officially debuts to the public on Saturday, April 14 and will be open 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday." - Olee Fowler

Taquiza is Taking its Popular Tacos to North Beach | Eater Miami

"I'm excited to see a South Beach taco favorite and Eater 38 member take its talents to North Beach later this month with a new oceanfront outpost inside the recently renovated Broadmoor Miami Beach hotel at 7450 Ocean Terrace. The North Beach location is roughly four times the size of the original and, unlike the original, will have a full liquor license; it will open with six mainly tequila- and rum-based cocktails developed by Nikos Mantzaridis alongside another yet-to-be-named bartender, plus Mexican sodas, a rotating beer selection, sangrias, wine, and a new spicy Michelada made with the restaurant’s house mix. Food will mirror the South Beach menu, featuring 12 different tacos ranging from pastor to lengua, four “not tacos” such as elota and squash blossom quesadillas, and two breakfast options, and the restaurant also has plans to open a location in the upcoming Citadel food hall later this year; the North Beach site is slated to open by the end of March." - Olee Fowler

The Broadmore Miami Beach was an absolute lifesaver! My flight back to Philly was canceled last-minute due to weather, and they accommodated me for a 3-night stay on very short notice. Augustine at the front desk was incredibly helpful, securing a room quickly and getting me checked in efficiently—top-notch service! The location is unbeatable—literally as close to the beach as you can get—and the on-site taqueria is fantastic, with delicious tacos that hit the spot after a stressful travel day. Highly recommend!

Google
Overall, this hotel is very suitable if you are hoping for a relatively inexpensive stay on the beach. Room service is not available, which I don't use anyway during travel-- but it is worth noting if you prefer to have it. The rooms serve their purpose, but the photos online are very deceiving in regards to the room decor and hotel amenities. The daytime staff was very friendly (Jennifer especially!), and a couple of the nighttime staff were dismissive at times. There is a lot of construction in the area to be aware of, so access to the beach is not direct at the moment (December 2025). A few interior updates would really help this hotel.

The Broadmore is located in North Beach and has a cool mid-century modern lobby and it is located right near the beach. However, after that, it went downhill fast. Here’s my list… the elevator was absurdly slow. They stated it was historic. We booked a room with an ocean view balcony and were given a room without one. We then moved the following day to the balcony room. The balcony is totally open to the neighboring room balcony. So no privacy. Both rooms were terrible. The beds were basic and in the second room we felt like we were sleeping on a sagging taco mattress. There is no dresser. The closets were disgusting and I think moldy. The bathrooms looked like they had not been updated ever. The tub shower was disgusting and there was no place to put any toiletries. Our keys needed to be replaced multiple times. ||They did have an area on the beach for hotel guest with beach chairs which was good. ||Maybe they are planning on upgrades but until then, I would stay away.

I have stayed here once before. I love the location and the workers there, they are always so polite. My family had a cruise coming up and we made a last minute reservation our flight landed very early but the beautiful nice young lady allowed us to check in early for a fee which I thought was great. The views from the room was amazing. I left my cell down at the front desk and she had someone come up to deliver it. I needed boarding passes printed out and she did it for us the next day! After the cruise we stayed again for a few hours with an early check in! This is our go to spot! It’s quiet, the beach isn’t overly crowded, they have a pool! There is a taqueria right next door, and if you go around the corner there are ample restaurants (my favorite is burgers and shakes)

Google
Hotel is decent A little over priced for the quality of the room but some has a cool beach view. At first they were very kind and accommodating but I Guess I overstayed my welcome and they became not so cool and fussy. Room service only comes if you request. A man was sleeping on the couch outside my room and they did nothing but say oops.

Google
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were especially wonderful — a special thank you to Pamela and Augustine, who were incredibly kind and always helped us with everything. Because of them, I’m happy to give the hotel 5 stars. We left with only positive emotions.

Google
Wow where to start with this hotel…the room didn’t look anything like the pictures. There was black mold on the ceiling, the comforters they gave us had stains and hair wrapped up in them before we even touched them. There was rust stains, paint peeling off the walls, damage everywhere, the whole hotel was beyond aged and needed updating. The light switch when we walked in the room didn’t work, there was shady people walking around at random times, it was the worst hotel I have even been in. When I tried to get a new comforter I was told they couldn’t because they were fully booked. When I called them about it the next day to complain they gave me a $20 refund because they said it was non refundable…I can’t give it a 0 star rating unfortunately. The only somewhat nice thing was the location but even that had construction between the hotel and the beach.

Google
Agustina is the best customer care ever, the place is well located in a renovated area that feels like a less crowded downtown with an amazing one lifetime burger spot next door, lots of stores around, beach is beautiful up here. Definitely a good place where to stay for your vacay, short visit or business trip. Beachfront right here all you need

Joel C.

Yelp
Well it's a place to stay for the night. Expect to pay $20 a night for some "amenity" fee (my guess is the pool?). Make sure you use the bathroom before getting on the elevator, you have time to watch the godfather trilogy before it makes it to your floor

Yelp
Black Mold on the walls and beds!! Not safe! Dangerously crowd! Rusted pipes , cracking paint falling off ! Dirty! Old! No blankets available! Terrible check in check out! It's 1 star motel! Don't waist your money !

Yelp
VERY HONEST REVIEW PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. I booked the ocean-view room, but the windows were so foggy I couldn't actually see anything, lobby was moist, beds had no blanket only the thinnest sheet ever, water was cold, floor was sticky, the windows were foggy so no ocean view, elevator took maybe 8 minutes to come down and back up, the street is under construction and 5 minutes walk around to the beach Would not stay here EVER again.

Yelp
I had surgery and intended to stay here for my recovery, but this place gave me an infection. The room had roaches and bed bugs, the windows were so dirty that I couldn't see outside, and the temperature was 50 degrees in the room,Turning off the cooler didn't help at all. There was no blanket on the bed, and the two worn-out blankets in the closet were too thin. When I asked for a blanket, the front desk told me, "It is what it is; we don't give out blankets just like that.i couldn't even charge my iPhone or iPad to watch a movie or do something , the TV didn't work either ,i had to go buy towels from Walmart , u have to ask for towels 10 times and yet no one comes to ur room to give you towels or even clean your room , I even witnessed them telling another guest to "GET the F OUT" for asking about parking. The entire facility had a terrible smell, the room was in disrepair, the outlets were non-functional, and nothing was accessible for those with disabilities. I saw a woman struggling to reach her room and ultimately had to leave. The elevator took about 10 minutes to go up and down (I'm not exaggerating). The tap water came out brown for the first 30 seconds, and I was harassed by another guest in the hallway. I can't believe how filthy and uncomfortable this place is. I left two days early, even though I had paid for five, because I couldn't stand the nastiness in the room and needed to address my infection.

Yelp
I'm expressing my extreme dissatisfaction with the unacceptable conditions and service I experienced during my recent stay. I was appalled to discover roaches in my room. This is a serious sanitation issue and completely unacceptable in any accommodation. The faucet in the bathroom was leaking continuously.I did not receive any housekeeping services during my entire stay. My room was not cleaned, towels were not replaced, and trash was not emptied. These issues collectively created a thoroughly negative experience and significantly detracted from the purpose of my trip.

Yelp
This is by far the worst "Hotel" I've ever seen. The pictures on their website do not match the quality. This place is run down and nasty smelling. I had booked a stay for 6 days and as soon as I arrived to check in I was greeted by a rude individual. He up charged me a "resort" fee of an extra $100. The room provided was disgusting. I shall attach pictures below. The room had a smell of pee & the bathroom was deplorable. They provided no soap in the bathroom and the shampoo and conditioner seemed to have already been used. The tub was scary looking I couldn't see myself ever stepping foot inside. I never unpacked my clothes instead I ran back down to cancel my room and instead ended up booking another hotel near by. I would never recommend this place to anyone no matter how low the room rates are. This is nothing like a hotel it is a run down motel. They should be ashamed of themselves for even thinking anyone would like to stay here.

Yelp
It might have been the rave of the town back in the way. But for today's standard it's not. The furniture is on its last leg. Nothing is updated. Inch thick paint on windows and doors. The building needs an overhaul. The light fixtures are rusty, the windowsill look moldy. It's nothing like what they describe it to be.

Yelp
Looking at the picture online, you would think this is a beautiful beach front hotel. However, after paying an extra 20 dollars a night, I still see no beach front view. All I can see from my window is construction. They show absolutely none of their flaws in their photos. There are also many weirdos hanging around this hotel. The front desk people are completely rude and laughed in our face when we complained about other problems we faced. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. We also have to pay for parking even when we are staying at this hotel.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. Please spare yourself and save your money. 11/1 my boyfriend and I had a night booked here for after we returned from our cruise. When we pulled up we couldn't believe how run down everything looked but we figured looks can be deceiving so we gave it a chance. When we went inside the lady at the front desk was very friendly so I'll give them that. We wanted to check in early but she said we had to pay $57 to check in early which was fine no big deal. So we check in and she tells us that we are on the third floor and that there is an elevator but it's slow. No big deal. We waited about 10 minutes for the elevator when we finally got to our room we noticed that the room looked run down quite a bit but hey whatever it's one night. So we set our stuff down and we decided to explore Miami Beach. When we came back hours later we went upstairs to our room and decided to watch tv. When we turned the tv on it was jumping back and forth between being static and being fine. It sounded like the tv was barking at us. My boyfriend went downstairs and they told him that was normal but they would send someone up. Finally when the guy came up he stood in front of the tv and just hit the menu button and had it search channels then after 10 minutes he said he would be back. When he came back he did it again and then finally said he didn't know and to tell the front desk that he confirms it's broken. So we went downstairs and I tried to show the guy at the desk the video of the tv and he cut me off and said he believed me and said that if we wanted a refund we needed to contact Travelocity since that's who we booked with. So we went back upstairs and I called them while I was on the phone with them my boyfriend noticed in the ac that there was MOLD. Yes MOLD. BLACK MOLD. I freaked out and said i absolutely was not staying here any longer. The Travelocity rep said he tried to contact the property but they wouldn't cooperate. When we went downstairs while still on the phone the same guy at the front desk claimed that suddenly their internet went down and we would have to wait until Monday for anything to happen. The guy at the front desk literally said "oh sorry" when we told him that there was mold. It was only after we pushed and pushed about the mold did he say they could give us another room. I contacted Travelocity twice and they reached out to the hotel TWICE requesting a refund and both times the hotel denied it. So yeah save your money and your health by choosing a different hotel rather than this one that has mold. Oh yeah we didn't even stay the night we checked out and went somewhere else.

Yelp
As a local, this is a budget hidden gem for a night or few days. Stayed on the top floor overlooking the beach. Room was big, clean and newly renovated. So great to walk downstairs to dip in the pool, right to the beach for sunrise, boardwalk, the Bandshell for live music, and great places to eat. My only complaints that drop this review by 1 star, were poor WiFi, unable to plug my computer into TV or cast streaming, very slow elevator, and no longer offering the advertised complimentary continental breakfast. Despite these things, I will be back several times a year. They've earned a regular for when I want the North Beach experience.

Yelp
I wish you didn't have to give a star.... They are under construction with no signs anywhere to tell you how to get to the hotel! The check in process was extremely slow, the elevator is even slower (thought it was going to break down on us), the elevator is also so small you can barely fit 1 person and 2 bags let alone 2 people? and they charge $20 resort fee but I am just staying here to sleep not using anything and they won't wave it. It's so dirty, run down, and just falling apart! I think their towels were white at one point?!?!? DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

Alexandra Y.

Yelp
Terrible, outdated, nasty looking place. elevator is so slow it is pretty much broken, internet is so slow its useless. The neighborhood is so unsafe and skimpy you will get your wallet stolen in a second. I checked out and cancelled my stay after one night and still fighting for the refund for 4 nights. The Manager doesn't want to approve it even though they false advertise their ugly run down-looking place. Pictures they post are photoshopped non-existing in reality posters. The hotel has a security guard, I mean how bad it gets to have a security guard on duty. He was busy cutting nails on the couch. Terrible place!

Yelp
She's an old girl and that's fine. This art-deco hotel has probably seen some grander years, but the room was clean and fresh and the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. There really isn't anything super negative about the place other then the incredibly slow elevator and I can't stress enough how slow this elevator moves. I literally walked down five flights as opposed to waiting forever for the elevator. There is a restaurant downstairs, but for some reason they do not serve a large selection of cocktails that are famous in Miami. No piña coladas, no daiquiri's. I was fairly disappointed about that. My room has an amazing ocean view and since it's a corner room there is an extra window looking out. I would probably stay here again, but this is most definitely a budget friendly hotel and expectations should be along that line. Have to revise my previous review to mention that this hotel has some very bad policies in place. Today there was poop in the pool. My recently uploaded pool picture clearly shows in the bottom right corner of the pool, feces floating freely. Another guest complained to the front desk and 15 minutes later it was still there. I went to the front desk and was told a company comes to clean it. Meanwhile instead of having a maintenance person remove the feces they just let it float there. Families with children were at the pool and they just let it stay in the pool. A small child used the pool skimmer to finally remove it. I'm shocked at the hotels absolutely horrible response to this situation. I will speak to management later today because this is intolerable.

N A.

Yelp
I've never in my life been catfished until this hotel. This place looks like a cute little boutique hotel on the beach according to online pictures....then you get there and your entire world is rocked by roaches, tiny Tim sized bath tubs, not one amenity. No blow dryer, no phone, no restaurant or bar. The elevator takes at least 30 minutes to get to you. The pool....just don't go. Also, there is no beach access. The property around this has been under construction FOREVER taking the access away. You have to walk allllll the way around it to get to the beach. The towels came from the dollar tree and have NEVER been replaced. The ONLY good thing at this place is the lady at the front desk. White woman with brown hair. She was very sweet and helpful. Save yourself and don't book this hotel ever in your life. Oh I forgot to even mention the homeless people on the stoops at night ‍ Would rate negative stars if I could

Yelp
I stayed here in March for the Winter Music Conference. It's definitely a budget hotel, and you immediately feel that as you walk the hallways to your room, but it's right on the beach and has a quaint pool and patio to enjoy the afternoon. Keep in mind this hotel is in North Beach so if you want to get to Wynwood or South Beach, be prepared for a 10-15 minute Uber. My one complaint is not all the rooms are as nice or as uniform as the others. Thankfully, the concierge was accommodating and moved me to a room that had the amenities I paid for through their website.

Amier H.

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. I was not expecting a 5 star hotel, but this hotel is disgusting beyond belief. First day, i go into the shower and what do i see? Urine stains on the wall and hair in the tub. A couple of days After the desk person convinced me to stay in an upgraded room, i see a dead COCKROACH LITERALLY ON MY BED. Not to mention that the dirty pool (none of the drains work) full of bugs and plastic strings. Save yourself the headache and go to a different place. Disgusting rooms and if you like your hotel to smell like onion and marijuana, then this is the perfect place for you!

Yelp
NEVER. Do NOT consider this Hotel for anything!!! NOTHING. RUDE front desk. Called many times and no one answers. Called in front of them and it was not ringing. They said it goes to voice mail. NO it does not!! NO parking at all. Drove around for an hour finally doubled parked to check in. Elevator was inspected in 6/2022. No it was not I guarantee that. Small check in costs $18.00 for towels . Your kidding me. Got to the room. Which looks NOTHING like the pictures. Called the front desk cause the AC was not working and SHE HUNG up on me!!! What a mess.I must say. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows. No coffee.

Yelp
Love love this place! Cheap early check in fee as our flight arrived at 6am! So close to the beach with amazing views. Great shops and eats around, you'll never need to leave the neighborhood. 1939 building with good energy! Will stay here again. Staff is amazing and personable.

Yelp
If you are expecting to see what he website displays, you're in for a rude awakening. THIS HOTEL IS PURE TRASH. From the stained up carpets to the rusty mirrors, the towel rack falling off the wall, the stained pillow cases, knobs missing on the dresser, the next to nothing cable access to the spotty wifi, not enough towels to give out to guests...just pure trash. The photos, I'm convinced are from some other hotel, definitely not this one. I will say, I had a pleasant experience with the staff, but other then that, this is a definite, NEVER AGAIN!

Yelp
before booking, please read! Absolutely not book anything here . This place is abysmal. The pictures do not represent the place accurately. There is no pool at all! The place is dirty it's very old. The elevators are extremely slow... We are talking ridiculous... They charge $18 a day resort fee. So what are the resort amenities? The best thing I've got is hot and cold running water, air conditioning, indoor, plumbing, and Wi-Fi. Kind of ridiculous actually. It's a kind of place if you would expect Rogers to be running around the corners and possibly a mouse to jump on the bed with you. This is exactly why we should read the reviews before we book anything! And you look at the online advertising for the cost and you think it's low. It is on the beach, but there is nothing around here at all the prices are advertised might be low but with all the add-ons it's still $200 a night. And they make you sign and initial papers, so that you have no recourse. And it's in a very sketchy area Run run run run run!

Yelp
Prime location Right off the beach with pay parking lot and restrooms. (There is NO free parking) Hotel is nothing like the pictures online. The pool is different and the balcony is closed. The key cards kept deactivating everyday and we would have to go the front desk to get new ones. I booked a room with a king bed and that was confirmed at the front desk but it ended up being a full size bed. I didn't even bother saying anything. The AC was a dream and I didn't want to risk ending up in a room with shitty AC. The floor felt dirty. Wi-Fi was good. Complimentary beach chairs and thin beach towel. (Umbrellas are extra) The restaurant is the bomb. Good tacos and strong tasty Dranks!! No house keeping while we were there. Had to make it work with our same few towels. But I will say that for the price and location maybe you can't even complain.

Yelp
This review is for the location, the lobby and the fact that they have a cool Mexican spot / aka restaurant next door. I am sad to see poor reviews though - and cannot comment on staying here. The lobby area was clean, bright, lovely open windows to the outside and nicely decorated. The location is fantastic though, as it is literally few feet away from the beach and ocean at North Miami beach. Their Mexican restaurant (Taquiza) - is also worthy of a visit, (see my other review), for quick tasty tacos either eat in, sat outside on their terrace area, or to go, like I did to take to the beach (to be noted it seemed busy - which is always a good sign, right?) Also to be noted this area of Miami is not as wild as South beach, but there is certainly a lot of bars, and restaurants very close to this hotel, so it would be a sweet spot imo to stay here?).

Yelp
The hotel website is an absolute scam. This was the trashiest hotel I've ever stayed at. One of the locals said this hotel is in the process of being condemned by the city health department. Hopefully that's true because they are actually injuring people. Here's some pictures of the mold that made me sick. All these recent one-star reviews are 100% accurate. Horrible that they are still renting rooms!
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Yup it's a dive hotel, but if you are looking for a place to just sleep close to the beach, food, and shopping it's absolutely perfect. The staff is amazing so friendly. The AC works fantastic and the bedding was clean. Oh and the water pressure in the shower is great. No other reviews mentioned that ;) I'd stay here again

Yelp
ROACHES |||| If I could put negative starts I would this place is disgusting the nastiest place to exist. They workers are lazy rude don't answer the phone at all night as well just not pay that bill . Workers hang out with crackheads outside . They sit on their phones and don't help you . We checked in with a male and he was rude. Got to our room looked around not what we wanted or expected but we were gonna make fue with what we had. Then we left to the beach came back to use the small little cramped bathroom to get dressed and ROACHES scurried from the sink and the floor and the shower. The toilet also hadn't been cleaned in how long bc there was a fake eyelash on the side of it. The toilet paper holder is non existent. Where do I put my toilet paper the floor with the roaches ??? We then went and packed everything we had and went to the front desk and they know they have the roaches bc they were not surprised at all offered a new room that's just as dirty if not worse and possibly has roaches too bc they travel . They will not give refunds at all even if you don't stay the night . SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Yelp
The Broadmoor is a old hotel famous all Miami Beach. There is a lot of historic hotels all Miami Beach might like the brand new hotels that they have state of the art. I have the opportunity to stay at the Broadmoor first of all customer service was great . There was a Young is Spanic meal there and the manager of the hotel and she was amazing. It was difficult for me to get around because of my hip. She made checking in so much easier and apologize for any inconvenience that may occurred during the process of checking in prior to the manager getting there the young man multitask. It was very on point with his job and getting people registered and in the rules all the negativities of people want to write can I measure does experience that I experience today.

Yelp
Reserved a room online days prior to arriving. At the hotel, the desk told me the room wasn't available yet even though it was after 3PM. I had to kill 3 hours--which was fine--but when I returned, the desk gave me a key to a room that already had occupants in it. So awkward. When I let the desk know, they said it'd be several more hours before a room would be available, so I asked for a refund to find a different hotel in the area. The manager, Mark, was overall rude but had a minor freak-out when I asked him for the refund. After his hissy fit, he agreed to a refund and I left. To this day, I have not received a refund for the $100 security deposit, nor the room that I didn't get. The hotel rarely answers their phone, but when they do, they claim the matter is out of their hands and that Mark is not available. It's been months now, so I'll probably be contacting a lawyer soon.

Yelp
SCAMMERS If you like fishy hotels, come here! If rude receptionists turn you on, this is the place. Elevator does not work. Anyone to help you with your luggage to the 5th floor? No way silly!! Miami is scam city. Add this to your no-go list!!

Yelp
I stayed in one of two rooms that feature a balcony looking out to the ocean. The balcony and king size bed are the only thing I liked about this hotel. Aside from that, it was pretty gross. Hot water pressure was a joke. Carpeted hallways smelled moldy. The restaurant food is burned beyond flavor. The building itself has so much potential and the staff were kind, but the owner is clearly doing the bare minimum to keep the place open.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Dirty, no bedding, smelled horrible, bugs. Definitely would not recommend. We checked out as soon as we saw the room, and they refused a refund.

Yelp
We booked the hotel before reading the reviews so when we found out how bad the reviews, we were mortified. We just hope that we would have a good experience, just like the other people who gave a good reviews. Anyway, after we checked in, just like the other reviews, the photos of the websites were either old or photoshopped because reality was far from that. The room was really old, and the cleanliness was a big issue here. The second night after we came back from happy hour. We found that the room has been serviced but clearly the housekeeper didn't clean the floor of the room/ bathroom area. The candy wrappers were all over the floor under the bedside table from previous night wasn't removed and hair all over the bathroom floor and the sink. The shower amenities were not replaced as well. The bed sheet were not changed during our stay. We stayed more than 4 nights I gave 3 stars because the location of the hotel, friendliness of the front desk staff and the restaurant in the hotel. Other that than, if you are all about the product and cleanliness, I would suggest you to book somewhere else.

Sevil M.

Yelp
Hotel is listed in Airbnb as: "Entire rental unit hosted by Broadmore Hotel Miami Beach" I made an unfortunate mistake to erroneously book through Airbnb several days ago. The hotel was booked a month in advanced. Eleven hours later, I contacted Airbnb and the host to inform them of my mishap and made a request to cancel with a full refund. I contacted the host twice explaining my situation and no response was provided. Airbnb made attempts to contact the Host on my behalf to later be informed that the host decided to not provide the refund. Airbnb and the Host's cancellation policy was ridiculously unreasonable. Why? * The booking was made a month in advance which gave the host the opportunity to rebook. * I contacted Airbnb and the Host when I noticed my mistake less than 12 hours of booking. * The host made $288 in less 12 hours. I paid $363 and was only refunded $79 in fees. They kept the bulk with any services rendered. * NO 24 Hour Cancellation Policy These practices are unreasonable, and apparent that Airbnb is more concerned about their financial gain than the consumer. Divisive and abuse! Who regulates these practices. No one.

Yelp
Take my advice, stay anywhere else. I quickly discovered after being in our first room less than 30 minutes that it had not been cleaned after the last guest(s). The tub looked as if a hairy man carried out a full-body shave in there. There were short little hairs everywhere. We demanded to be moved and were greeted with baby cockroaches in our next room. At this point it was late in the evening and I was trying to make the best of it and avoid having to move my family with two toddlers again. I sat on the bed contemplating what to do. It was then that I noticed several little cockroaches had started accumulating around and on top of our shoes that were on the floor near the bed. I smashed about 20 and decided we couldn't stay in anywhere in this hotel. The manager Pamela informed me she couldn't refund me when I told her we weren't staying. At that point I didn't care. I've been trying to dispute it with Expedia for 10 days with no success. I'm not sure if Pamela or Expedia are lying to me but I refuse to pay for a room in that state especially since we we're so uncomfortable we couldn't stay. They rarely answer the phone at the front desk, what a scam!

Yelp
Excellent stay in this up and coming hotel in north Miami Beach, literally right on the beach at 75th and Collins in a block called Ocean Terrace. Stayed in a 7th floor (top floor / penthouse). View was amazing needless to say. Bathroom was not huge but really nice and I'm like... I need this at home. Bed needed some WD40 but that's about my only real complaint. Free WiFi was fine, though the TV had 20 channels and was not HD. You'll get CNN and the basics but not much else (no ESPN, no HBO or PPV). Free continental breakfast is not too bad, but many international restaurants in the neighborhood for more substantial eats. Parking is not free, but numerous transportation options nearby plus Uber and Lyft. Anybody posting 1* or so, I have no idea how they came to this conclusion although maybe they stayed here when it used to be a Days Inn. I'd love to stay closer to South Beach next time. But this was very good for the price. To wit: FB rating: 4.4/5 Google rating: 3.2/5 Yelp rating: 2.5/5 Tripadvisor: 3.5/5 -------------------------------- Total 3.4/5

Yelp
Would leave 0 stars if I could. Booked this off Expedia, and the pictures look absolutely nothing like the hotel. Among this- MANY other things were misrepresented. There is NO WIFI. The WiFi does not work in the rooms, unfortunately we came during a rainy week and had nothing to do in the rooms. The TV is horrible and has 10 GLITCHY CHANNELS. NO FREE BREAKFAST because of COVID- even though included with daily resort fee and on the website it still lists this as an amenity. NO MAID SERVICES, so if you're staying more than a few days it becomes problematic. Bathroom is EXTREMELY TINY, bed was extremely squeaky- really not suitable for doing anything other than lying extremely still. And don't even get me started on THE POOL, it looks nothing like the pictures and is extremely gross. The one positive thing I have to say, is we had a nice view of the ocean.

Yelp
My family and I were planning to stay at Broadmore Hotel inMiami. The pictures online look amazing but the room they gave us was disgusting and we didn't feel safe at all. We ended up leaving and asked for a refund. They said they'll give us our money back but only reimbursed me $25. I tried calling and emailing them and they don't answer.

Yelp
They just need to shut down. Priceline has them at 4 stars and I don't understand how. Absolutely filthy hotel. Whatever pictures are on the website are not accurate, all the blankets, sheets, and pillow cases had stains. The bathroom was falling apart. Sink was broken and temp.control knobs in shower we're broken. Roaches. Housekeeping never once cleaned our room so we had to keep asking for towels, tp, etc. Most of the staff was rude.. if you asked anyone for help they would say they don't speak English. To top it off every single night was filled with slamming doors, loud music, and fire alarms going off. Just don't stay here.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. From the moment I set foot in this place I just had the worst feeling it might've been nice for 40 or 50 years ago, but it is the legit dump. The bathtub, never drain, I was given a handicap room, which in no way, shape or form when anyone in a wheelchair be able to actually utilize as the spaces are too narrow. The Wi-Fi doesn't work as other of yours mentioned. There's no coffee in the room. I guess that would be too much of a luxury. You feel like you're in a military Barrick. Gross. Stay away.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night before going on a cruise. The beds are so uncomfortable with old stained sheets. The mattress had a plastic cover that made noise every time you moved. The room was dirty with sand all over the floor. Rusty water came out of the shower and the tub did not drain while showering. The hotel is super old and not in a charming kinda way. They need to completely remodel this place and get some better staff. There is no coffee anywhere in site. The TV gets 4 local Chanel's and there is no phone in the rooms. They probably took them out due to all the complaint calls. For $200 a night. Not worth it at all.

Yelp
I'm not writing this review for the hotel (because given the state of the building and the abundance of negative reviews online they obviously don't care), but rather in hopes that I can prevent someone else from staying there. Hands down, this is the worst place I have ever stayed in the United States (and I've traveled extensively for work), and it's not even close. I didn't book the hotel but ended up meeting some friends there who were visiting and had booked it. I'm surprised a place like this still exists in the United States to be honest. This would be at best a low-end hostel in Europe. The hotel inspires confidence right from the beginning, with a sign mandating only 2 people in an elevator that literally took 3 minutes to go 5 floors. The room was tiny - like, really, really small, and my mattress had so many broken springs that I kept sliding down to the middle of the bed, which I found had yellow stains on the sheets. When I looked under the bed the bottom of the mattress actually touched the ground in the middle (no box springs here). There was a fridge that didn't work that smelled like something died in it, and a tiny bathroom with rusty mirrors and light fixtures, along with a toilet that was constantly running. My friends also said there were small bugs in the closet, but I didn't have the guts to unpack my clothes. At least we could feel secure at night - at least as secure as you could feel with a door that left gaps between the door and door frame and paper-thin walls that allowed you to hear every noise on the floor at all hours of the night. In case you're still thinking of staying here, due to the beach access, just be aware that your "resort fee" gets you two chairs placed uncomfortably close to other guests (that you are not allowed to move) and two threadbare towels. All this, plus no housekeeping service, can be yours for the same place as many of the AirBnbs in the area!

Yelp
This hotel is in a great spot on North Beach. It appears they are in the process of updating some things. Hopefully, that will improve it. The staff would not clean our room, even when we requested it be cleaned one day. *This was not during Covid* The elevator is extremely small, and especially slow. You do not want to get in it if you are claustrophobic at all. There were lots of restaurants and shops very close to walk to, and the beach was right across the street from the front door.

Yelp
CONS 1. No Luggage Storage. 2. Elevator was Out Of Order. 3. Some Television Channels was not clear. 5. Mini Fridge would shut off on it's own. 6. No Water for 4 Hours. 7. Room's Safe was not Functioning properly. Informed Housekeeping/Maintenance.. 8. The Room's Telephone was not Functioning. Informed Housekeeping/Maintenance.. 9. When the phone was functioning no answer at the desk. When I approached the desk the lobby was NOT active. 10. Washing Machine did not rinse the clothes well. 10. Upon Check In I was informed houskeeping service will be done on the 3rd day. However, around 5pm the room was not freshened up. MOD communicated with houskeeping for an urgent service request. 11. Fresh towels were not available on my last day, early morning. 12. Hallways needs a Make up. Perhaps, new carpeting for the hallway floors and staircases. 13. The Room's Restroom needs a Renovation. PROS 1. The Lobby is sexy looks like a Spa at the Beach.. 2. The Room is Modern and Sexy.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. I don't understand how it has more than one star. When we walked in we were greeted with a blank stare as if we were supposed to say something first. The guy seemed arrogant. The elevator was EXTREMELY slow...while it was working. It took about 10 minutes to go 5 floors. It quit working our second day. The drawers on the dresser opened only with force. It was unsteady to the point when I leaned on it, the TV wobbled. The TV only had Spanish channels. There was only one sheet on the bed and it was a cooler evening so we were cold, (no heat in the room). I understand it's Florida but it does get down in temperature sometimes. The next day we discovered two blankets in the closet. The rooms have been painted over and over and over again. It seems as if their way of renovating is to just cover everything up instead of replacing. The carpet in the hallway was dirty and disgusting. There was no coffee to be found. The pool looked like it had never been cleaned and the pool area was disgusting and dirty. There was construction blocking direct access to the beach. I wouldn't stay there again if I was offered a free stay!

Yelp
If i could leave no star i most definitely would because this motel that they disguised online as a hotel was appalling. I booked this hotel with a group of friends for Memorial weekend. Upon arrival I noticed the front of the hotel was bit outdated but upon entering the lobby it resembled the exact picture from the website. As we go to check into our rooms we were told by the woman at the front desk we would be charged an "early check in fee" of $91.00 per room. We paid the extra fee and then proceeded to find the elevators because we wanted to find out rooms and ditch the heavy luggage. This is when the lady at the front desk tells us the elevator does not work!!!!! Mind you we had rooms on higher floors of the "hotel"! I asked the lady at the front desk if there is someone that could help us take the luggage's up she responded by saying she can help us take it up once she cleared up the lobby because she the only person doing checks, bell hop, and etc. Let's talk about the room!!! Catfishhhhh central!!!! The room was filthy! The room looked nothing like the pics from the website. The floors dusty, the linen on the bed was dingy, the bed was broken, the room smelled horrible, the bathroom was rusted, water pressure was low, water backed up in the tub, the ac barely cooled the room, and the list goes on btw!!!! I immediate returned to the lobby because i was ready to check the hell up out of there. I checked out and requested a refund! Do yourself a favor and do not! I repeat do not waste your time or money at this place. Period

Yelp
If you go in expecting a 1 Star Hotel - you won't be disappointed. Best part is about this place is it is right across the street from the ocean. Great food places located within walking distance. Located next to a dilapidated motel. Rooms are outdated. Not bad to just sleep in for a night. We had 2 double beds for our room. The closet is bigger than the bathroom. When your neighbors take a shower, it backs up all of the pipes and fills your tub this leaves crud, sand, dirt, and whatever else is in the pipes at the time. If you're parking between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM be prepared to pay $1 an hour for your stay. The elevator barely works. Just take the stairs if you can. We had an elderly person with us and had to take the elevator. It took us 10 minutes to go 4 floors. Had a 2nd stay already booked and the elevator wasn't working at all. There is a taco joint attached. Looked good, but 3/4 people didn't want to eat there....so we skipped.

Yelp
Booked this hotel online through the Priceline website. The pictures on the website were very misleading. We arrived around noon and were told that we could not check in until 4pm and that our bags would not be stored for us. When sitting in the lobby, we started looking around and immediately felt uncomfortable--there was even a guy passed out right in front of us. We talked to the front desk and they even admitted that the pictures online are misleading. Luckily they refunded our money since we did not check in.
