I attended for Chazfest, and boy was I glad I went! The vibe was so good, the venue was beautiful, spacious, a large outdoor stage (and a cozy cool indoor venue) with lots of various spots to grab a drink, easy to use restrooms, and an open bar tab throughout the venue’s different bar/concession spots – overall, a super cool experience, and I would definitely go back here!

Great venue! There's an outer bar area and then the music space. Nice atmosphere...and a food truck.

Live music and performance venue. We’ve been here for live viewing of the Grammy’s on big screen though. Great social distanced seatings outdoors. They serve beer, wine and basic food. Looks like fun and cozy, would be great to enjoy a nice gig or festival here.

Google
A rare outdoor only music/events venue in New Orleans. Views of the CBD accompany the large stage, great sounds, comfortable and spacious seating. I was greeted with a crawfish boil and cold local IPA on this wonderful, free music Sunday afternoon. A return awaits!

One my new favorite venues in New Orleans to see music. Low key and outside. What a great time!

Wanted to get some crawfish, so reached out to the go-to Crawfish King. They informed me that they were set up at Broadside, which is only a few blocks from the house so decided to head over. Check IDs at the door and mention that we're here for the food then pass through. Order a few lbs of crawfish and a catfish poboy (which were phenomal!) and sit down to enjoy. After a while, an employee walks up to inform us that there's a 1 drink minimum for being there. Not really sure why this wasn't mentioned up front, but it was pretty strategic to let it be known after being $50 deep and 75% of the way done. No live music in sight. Feeling a bit bamboozled - maybe we'll be back if the music warrants, but 100% not the place to go if you're looking for some weekend afternoon grub, even though the food is great! Check it out if you're into drinking in a gravel parking lot, but also for a live outdoor music venue. I don't know, maybe this is to help pay for the new buildings or something, but I've been going here since pandemic times and have generally had a good time - things change when elective overhead gets out of hand, I guess. Not the end of the world, but if you've got stipulations or costs associated with being there, they need to be clearly stated. Honestly, in hind sight, should've just ignored it - what's gonna happen? Kick us out? You can't fire me - I quit! But seriously, we left within 5 minutes, completely unrelated to this, we were done. 3 stars because the other dozen visits have been good enough - I don't drink so I guess I either paid a cover for the music or spending on food was sufficient, can't remember..definitely wasn't told that I had to buy $8 drinks or kick rocks (pun intended). Edit - it wasn't to go, I planned on eating there the whole time, figured that was kosher (kinda odd its not..) Also. there was no live music. Charge away but at least advertise that you charge - it's not unreasonable to think that one can sit down to eat at the place that they purchased the food, but apparently that's not the case at your "easy" establishment. If yall were easy, you'd realize that the percentage of the population that goes out to "freeload" at your establishment is negligible at best, and doesn't warrant shaking down people who've already patronized your offerings. How am I supposed to know that purchasing food from your establishment doesn't contribute to your establishment enough to justify my presence there?

Yelp
Loved it! A nice venue that has only gotten better and better over the years. What started as a creative answer to the pandemic, is now a friendly, comfortable place for music and movies.

Yelp
Really nice outdoor venue BUT there's a bbq smoker thing for the food RIGHT next to the stage and frankly, the whole venue reeks of bbq smoke... if you're not vegan maybe its not an issue, but wow so smokey Not my fave! Maybe move the smoker and food away from the stage? I tried the food and it wasn't very good to begin with.

Yelp
Nice outdoor venue. Very spacious with standing room mainly but there are some seated areas around the perimeter. You can bring your own chairs as well.

Yelp
Pandemic Review: This outdoor theater opened in October in response to the pandemic and movie theater restrictions. It's located next door (across the side street) from the Broad. And it's a wonderful (and safer) addition to the neighborhood. The theater has a wide variety of entertainment from sports to movies to live music to a theatrical review. I took my Mom to see the le Petite production of NOLA Noel on December 23rd. And the weather was great... not too chilly for my Mom and a very clear night. The chairs were well spaced and since we had to purchase tickets in advance, the seating was arranged by ticket groups. The seating were adirondack styles some low, some high. We brought a couple of blankets just in case and Mom was happy to have those. There are portolets for bathrooms. And there is a trailer serving snacks and cocktails (a hot apple cider for Mom and hot buttered rum for me). Plus there was a food truck in the parking lot before the show started. The show was really fun and the theater company made great use of the space and some popup tents for costume changes. All staff were wearing masks and patrons were expected to wear them too unless eating and drinking. We were spaced well and it was outdoors so Mom could enjoy some theater!

Yelp
I went to the Broadside Theater for a daytime show - a "Funeral for 2021". This is a fenced-in outdoor space, gravel for ground cover, with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables for seating (well spaced out for COVID). There is a large raised stage and movie screen. Masks are enforced for patrons and staff. They have a small trailer with refreshments and some port-a-potties for bathrooms. And as an added bonus, a HUGE parking lot! I enjoyed my production and this space and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Creatively appointed outdoor space allows for safe movie watching during a pandemic. The hot buttered rum kept us warm during the film, which had excellent sound quality for the location. The seating arrangements allowed for distancing within a group atmosphere. Bring a blanket and friend and do something out of the house...together!

Yelp
What a great idea, fine location, well planned layout, and delightful staff. Why there are no more Broadsides all over town defies my understanding! I don't see this as temporary at all - I expect it will be around for a long time, and well deserved! Well done folks!

Yelp
LOVE this venue for live music in Nola, such a great outdoor addition for the city that's not your typical sticky floor venue. Tip: bring your festival chairs if you fancy a place to sit!

Yelp
Surprise location in the middle of a up and coming revitalized neighborhood in New Orleans. Live music, great atmosphere and festival-like feel. All food is food truck. Drinks sold from a bar. It a cool spot to hang out. Alone or with a group. Get someone to walk you to your car though. It ain't all rosy in the Big Easy!
