Me and my family especially my son absolutely loves this place the mozzarella sticks are spot on. Those are his favorites. They are the perfect consistency nice and crunchy on the outside super chewy and delicious on the inside. Clearly the marinara sauce that they use on the pizza and cone with the mozzarella sticks is homemade, fresh & amazing. So good! And the dough/crush for the pizza is delicious. Really good. I like the variety of toppings of the pizza are a nice twist but keeping to the Brooklyn style of pizza. It's both elevated and Artisan yet still very nostalgic and delicious without doing too much.

Amazing! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! The place has a cool vintage atmosphere with live music every now and then.

Margherita pizza was phenomenal. Fresh super fresh. Atmosphere was so chill, felt like I was in a Bronx Tale movie. Michael our waiter was a dream boat.

Service sucks! Felt like we were unwanted. Instead of placing the drinks on the table, it was basically thrown in a rough manner. Maybe the servers just don't care and are ignorant because they already charge gratuity in advance, so they don't need to put in the effort. Won't be going back just because of that. It's quite embarrassing to have service like that for a nice establishment

The Firefly has quickly become our new favorite place! We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoy this bar--it's truly the best. We now go out of our way not! to make reservations so we can sit at the bar, which is the coziest and most beautiful space, reminiscent of something you'd see on TV. One thing that stood out is a sign stating they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. While this is understandable, it does feel a bit unwelcoming. However, the atmosphere is warm, and the bartender is incredibly nice, which contributes significantly to our comfort and enjoyment. We sat at the tables and the waiter got a lot of things wrong last time so we're just gonna stick to the bar because the bartender is great. The pizzas are fantastic; we love the variety they offer, and the two different sizes make it very reasonable. The kick in the a** and the white pizza with fig are the best! The appetizers are also good . They do a special fire fries which is similar to smashed potato, the giant meatball which isnt really worth the money but its still yummy, the rice balls are much better than average and the arugula salad has a lot of taste with a not too sweet dressing and gorgonzola. I did notice I was charged for a side of aioli that I didn't receive, but that didn't dampen our experience. We love the drinks and the beers.! Overall, we had a blast and are looking forward to returning every week. We've already been three times and are headed back next week!

1. Quality control inside the kitchen was absent. A party of four. We ordered two pies and one calzone-- all of which were very overcooked-- the crust, bottom and top, was charred on both the pies and the calzone! The interior dough was not overcooked and the pizza was edible, but the crust was actually blackened. It was at the high side over overcooked. Very overcooked. I kept checking in with my party to make sure it was okay. It turns out that they were too polite to admit it to me during dinner but afterwards everyone concurred that the food quality was poor. I had initiated the dinner by inviting everyone and they felt sorry to tell me they weren't enjoying it. And even though I was dissatisfied, I didnt want to be loud about either to my group or to the staff. And I decided not send the food back especially since it was a birthday celebration for my mother-in-law and sending a whole spread of food back to the kitchen is just a huge bummer, and adds an element of tension to the dining experience. But the poor quality of the food did in fact dampened the celebration, and we were all disappointed in the end. The bill came to almost $200 including tip and it feels insulting to have been served such subpar food. My in laws finished eating, but they left a massive plate of burnt crust behind. 2. Also the waiter did not once come around to the table to ask us how our food was. He was a nice guy but the service was LACKING. Before we ordered dessert I told him about the pizza being burnt. Which was met with an insincere "sorry about that." 3. While making the reservation, I indicated it was for a birthday celebration. That fact went completely overlooked or disregarded by the staff. Sad attention to detail. The customer service was negligent. In conclusion: We've eating at Brooklyn Firefly on multiple occasions. But after this experience we are unlikely to return, even though we live in the neighborhood. And extremely unlikely to recommend the place. And we've already shared about our experience with colleagues and friends. And we wanted to actually write a review here and elsewhere, even though I haven't reviewed anything online for years. Don't waste your money. Very disappointing experience.

Absolutely amazing pizza spot in Brooklyn! We tried three different kinds, and every single slice was phenomenal. The bread was just the right amount of crunchy--perfectly crisp on the outside but soft inside, creating a dreamy texture. The dough was fantastic, with that fresh, airy quality that gives each bite a rich flavor on its own. Not to mention, the toppings were fresh and tasty, complementing the base to make each pizza unique and satisfying. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a true Brooklyn pizza experience!

Best pizza I've ever had! Got the one with hot honey on it! Delicious! Service was fantastic and the decor and atmosphere is top notch

Not much went right here tonight. We reserved a booth for 2 on Resy but the guy out front told us "sorry, the booths are all reserved." We explained that we were one of the ones who reserved it, but he did not want to hear it. We showed him our email confirmation stating we had a booth clearly, but he was really short with us. We had to ask for a manager, who did not come out, but we were accommodated. There was no music, which happens a lot lately. There was a private party in the back, which surely brings in good money, so can't really blame them, but the live music used to make this place special. Finally, the pizza was very mediocre. It was underbaked, not hot, and the dough was floury. 2 stars for the lovely waitress. We're gonna have to look for a new pizza restaurant, minus the jazz unfortunately.

Love the decor and vibe of this place. I was here in the past when it was Yellow Hook Grill. The waiter was attentive and kind. The pizza pies and calzone were delicious! Their dough was so good and their crust had the perfect crisp. I did not like their Brooklyn egg cream drink so they took it off the bill. It was basically just syrup. Other than that, everything was really good and would love to return.

Cool ambiance, kind service! Subpar pizza unfortunately. Ultimately, the margherita and mushroom were quite good, but nothing particularly extraordinary. The vodka pie was bad :( For the margherita, the sauce to cheese ratio was super different across the pie, it was odd. The cheese was bland unfortunately. For the mushroom, it was the best of the bunch. But a tad too doughy! The vodka pie was undercooked and almost raw in the center. We had them put it back in the oven, which turned it into an ok pie. But I feel like the vodka pie was bad enough to merit a 3 for the food as a whole. Also, again, similar problem to the marg, some slices had sauce, some totally didn't?? I'd go back, but I won't be fighting to do so by any means, especially in Brooklyn.

Great neighborhood place with a lovely patio and good pizza. We went on a Sunday afternoon and were seated quickly on the dog-friendly patio. The service was friendly and attentive. We had the spinach and mushroom rice balls, fries with lemon ricotta dip, a large Verrazano boy, and a large Saturday night fever minus the meat. Everything was fantastic! Lots of vegetarian options, or the ability to make things vegetarian (they also have plant-based meats for those who like them).

Cool place, great vibes. Loved seeing the history in pics along the walls. Came on a Sunday afternoon, not too busy. There was a wedding party so the dj was pretty good. Pizza was delish paired well with the arugula salad. I'd come back to try more on the menu.

Despite my having been here a few times already I've never gotten around to sitting down and composing my thoughts about The Brooklyn Firefly so I'm going to use a recent visit to resolve that. For many of the Bay Ridge lifers, this restaurant occupies the space that was formerly the home of the famed Lento's pizza. This space was known and loved for its thin-crust pizza. At the time, this was not a common thing but now you can get it in a lot of places. Lucky you. Thinking back to my time before this latest visit, I recall having half of a wonderful cheese pizza with another friend and a few cold beers. They have a full bar, but I am not really the biggest spirits person so a Budweiser or Coors Lite suits me fine unless I am on one of my not drinking months. That pizza was super tasty and didn't last long since we were both quite hungry. It's easy to eat four slices of this since its not as thick as most pizzas. Fast forward to this past Saturday I was out walking with a friend and we met up with others who were heading there for some cocktails and decided to join them to catch up. We decided to sit at the bar area in the front. Spatially speaking there is a lengthy outdoor dining area and several tables in the rear of the restaurant. They raved about the cocktails but I was not drinking this time around. I think one of them was called The Gelston and my friend had a Pumpkin beer. Eats were decided upon so we ordered up some Rice Balls (there are three to an order) and a pizza with half-spinach and half sausage. Good stuff for sure. There is a free WiFi signal so one can do their check-ins and foodie captures and shares across their networks. The prices are very reasonable and the staff quite friendly. I'll be coming back sometime in the future for sure.

Strolling through Bay Ridge, you have your pick of food and drink spots representing any culture you can think of. That being said, there is something very comforting about the corner neighborhood pizza joint. Brooklyn Firefly takes you back to those times, but with alcohol, live music, and a backyard. I ordered the Margarita Italiana, which had no real flavor connection to a margarita, but was super refreshing nonetheless. Imagine a spiked punch with a hint of citrus - perfect summer drink. My friend scarfed down one of Mama's Meatballs, which was no small feat. Scanning the patio area I noticed pizza after pizza arriving to peoples' tables. It was such an eye tease given that my belly was full from having had dinner elsewhere. Is it ironic that I saw my first firefly of the summer in their backyard? I'm taking it as a sign to go back for slices and live music.

I've lived in Bay Ridge for quite some time and I can hardly believe I've never been to The Brooklyn Firefly. My friend and I came on a Friday evening around 5:30PM. There were plenty of picnic tables available outside until groups of families arrived with their [not so well behaved] children. There's also plenty of seating inside but it's pretty dark and cavernous, though it may be nice on the days when there's live music. We shared The Big Ragu [$12] which seems to be The Brooklyn Firefly's signature recipe. I'm not someone who seeks out rice balls so I don't think I've ever had one but this was one excellent. The outside was perfectly fried, and the inside was creamy with the rice, beef, and assorted vegetables. They laid in a somewhat chunky tomato sauce, I did in fact scoop up some of the tomatoes with my fork. There are three rice balls to an order. I had the personal sized Saturday Night Fever [$18]. Even though it is meant for one, it could most definitely feed two, with about 6 generous slices each. Regardless, you may not want to share, this very well may be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Caramelized onions, hot honey, soppressata, fresh mozzarella, and of course, tomato sauce. There was sweetness, there was spice, there was a little of everything and it was quite nice. Even the crust was crunchy and chewy with perfect char marks. I also had the Margarita Italiano [$13], made with grapefruit juice, so it was slightly different from what one would expect of a margarita. It was fine, it wasn't the best margarita I've ever had. My friend had a Shirley Temple [$3] and she seemed to enjoy it. Splitting the bill down the middle, it was $35 each, and roughly $40 after tax and tip.

Must get their calzoned and potatoes! I was honestly surprise by how good their burger calzone was and it comes with fries!! Yummyyyy

It's such a darling spot for darlings. You can talk the night away with a beau or chat up a storm with your gals, this spot hits home for many different reasons for dining out. The casualness makes you feel comfortable no matter who you're with, and if you're still nervous for whatever reason, order yourself some liquid courage while you wait for some delicious pizza. What I found weird is the restroom downstairs for the ladies... the faucet doesn't work. Or at least it's only giving out scalding hot water and the other spouts give out sad dribbles of semi-cold water. It's like, "Do I wanna boil my skin off or do I wanna leave without washing?" I'll let you think about which path I took.

Fresh, very tasty and hot. Sourdough pizza with prosciutto and arugula was delish! Delivery time was good

Warning brutally honest review: the staff is nice and the place has real potential, however the food is beyond terrible, I was violently Sick from here, had to be some kind of cross contamination in the kitchen. Beyond sick, you cannot pay me enough to eat from here again - it was the chicken. Absolutely horrible place needs to be shut down, yellowhook grill was great, place needs new owners who actually know what their doing and know food. Don't even get me started on the blonde woman there, total piece of crap

This is a wonderful neighborhood pizza restaurant! The ambience inside is really lovely - a good balance between casual and classy; Low lighting, but unpretentious vibe. Bar in the front, some tables , then a back area with more of a dining room setup. We sat in the middle area, but could see the back was filled up and there was live music. The food is outstanding. A little expensive, but you're getting quality for the dollar. I had one of their calzones and it was loaded up with cheese and fillings. My wife is gluten- and dairy-free so she got a GF/ Vg pizza and said it tasted like ... a really good pizza! Nothing compromised. The truffle fries were excellent as well. Our server was very nice and all the staff were friendly as well. A great spot!

It has great vibe and makes the best pizza I ever had in NYC. The place can get crowded so be early.

I had reservations for two and to be seated at a booth through Resy. When we got there, they seated us in the middle of a lot of people when the restaurant was half empty because it was raining last night. The waiter said he didn't see the booth on his end even though I said I ordered a booth online. I pulled it up on my phone and indicated that I did have a booth. Then the manager came and said that what they are seating us at is considered a booth; like we are stupid for she pointed to seats were it is a chair not a booth. And the waiter said clearly that he doesn't see the booth on his end, so who is lying? Prior to leaving I asked for the manager and she said she is the manager, and I asked if she would accommodate us because that's what we ordered and there was an empty booth that I pointed to and she said no she cannot accommodate me because it's Saturday night and in case they get crowded she can't do it even though the restaurant was half empty and it was 6:40 PM. Too bad she lost a customer and I will also be telling all the parents from Xaverian.

My boyfriend and I have been here a couple of times. We love the meatball here. The rest of the food is just fine. Some pizzas are good like the one with a nice of meats. The drinks are solid.

Super cute atmosphere and delicious food. Definitely the best pizza we had in Brooklyn (and that's saying something!). The salads were generous and fresh - especially loved the pear and arugula with Gorgonzola cheese. So so tasty! Good prices and friendly service.

Every time I come to Brooklyn, I love the pizza with the hot honey and the capicola type meat on top. The last two times the meat, tastes old, and I sort of regret having ordered it again. In the past it has been amazing, but it seems the quality is not what it used to be.... it's sort of tastes like lunchmeat that has been left out of the bag in the refrigerator and has absorbed other flavors as well .....I don't know what it is.... and I really am sad about it because it was the best pizza.... And I would look so forward to getting it, but I'm done, unless they let me know that the meat will be fresh.

I've had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant both during Covid (outdoor seating) and have had delivery a couple times as well. I'm not going to talk too much about the food except to say that the pizzas that we've had are all delicious. The thing my family and I were incredibly thankful for during our in-person dining experience was how helpful and pleasant our server was. A member of our family has a food allergy, and our server took the time out to check and also double check in some cases that nothing we were going to order would cause an issue. It was this attention to detail and caring/understanding attitude that kept us ordering for delivery as well as keeping them in our rotation for safe places we can eat in the neighborhood.

We stopped by Brooklyn Firefly recently for some pizza, and had a great experience dining outside in their yard. The nice thing about their outdoor seating is that it isn't in the street or on the crowded sidewalk, but is a large, private space outside the restaurant (the same outdoor seating they had before the pandemic). The tables were spaced apart, and everyone wore masks. The menu has lots of pizza options, as well as rice balls, calzones, sandwiches, and desserts. We got one of their vegan pizzas (they have 4 options) - the Shore Road, which came with tomato sauce, house-made vegan mozzarella, caramelized onions, mushrooms, garlic, and basil - and it was really tasty. They have a good pizza dough with a crispy, chewy crust, and the toppings, especially the caramelized onions, were delicious. Since I'm more of a toppings person than a crust person, I did wish there were more toppings that extended all the way to the crust, but that's just personal preference and very minor. Looking forward to trying more of their pizzas, and hoping it stays warm enough to eat in the yard!

Nice place, decent pizza, live music and lots of outdoor seating for those avoiding the possibility of being exposed to random Viruses

We grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting for a table. There was a live dj and great vibes all around. Since it was really packed, the service was on the slower side. We ordered some of the server's recommendations. The appetizers were disappointing, the mama's meatballs and rice balls were ordinary and could've done without. I always need a white pie, the truffle mushroom needed more flavor but the fresh spicy flavors of the kick in the ass pizza was really good. I'll be back for that and their yummy cocktails too.

This review is based off my order that i had delivered. I do intend to come back to Brooklyn Firefly to try the other food options they provide. I ordered the Margarita pie and a chicken cuzzie sandwich. The Margarita pie is on the thinner side and definitely smaller and more pricier than the other pizza spots around the neighborhood. There wasn't a lot of sauce either. The Chicken cuzzie is a chicken parm sandwich which was a decent size but the chicken was a bit dry. For $18, i would expect the sandwich to be better. If you like thin crusted pizzas, this is a place to try. I look forward to updating my review once i go have a sit down at the store.

Wasn't aware this place would have a live band. They played the most annoying music I've ever heard--and very loudly, if you're sitting in the section of the restaurant where they are set up. Good luck hearing each other or the waitstaff. The food was pretty good, and the decor was nice, but I don't think I'll be back because I don't think I can stomach those tunes ever again.

At first, when we entered, the warm welcome I received from Aubrey was amazing and then the conversation there after. I would have given five stars had the utensils and plates been cleaned properly and if the service provided by the waitress that assisted us, was as amazing as Audrey's interaction. The waitress's service was bland and just not what I expected but I definitely am looking forward to going back and seeing Aubrey, I definitely will be sitting at the bar and enjoying the energy. Love the "Big Dominican Familia"

Meh I found this place to be more hype than anything else! So many other better Pizza joints in the 5 Boros! Not worth it for my palette Not bad but nothing special

We did a team dinner here and rented out the back room for a few hours, space was really large we only had around 26 people but definitely could hold more. The pizza was so so good, we had the vodka square, plain, pepperoni and rosie. All very good. Caesar was okay and rice balls would definitely recommend. Would come again it was very good, atmosphere and staff were also great!

What a tasty lunch experience, recommended by a good friend, so good I forgot to take better pictures haha - first, very warm and friendly staff. Seeing all the classic registers styles and decor brought a bit of a nostalgic feeling. Now to the main purpose- Appetizers - the rice-balls -mushroom and meat styles Main- Margarita pizza personal Drinks - Action Jackson cocktail surely very delicious and gin75 also very refreshing cocktails. Shot out to the amazing and talented **chef Stephanie did a splendid job and leaving us wanting more Kofi yum yum approves !! Definitely going back and will provide better pictures too busy enjoying myself -lol

There are things that people say to you that stick with you forever. For me, it was when a coworker told me, "I had pizza with peas on it!" That was about 4 years ago, and I finally got to try the pizza (it's the vodka one). I really should've went to the Firefly earlier! We went all out on takeout for my brother-in-law's birthday. Luckily, they have several family meal specials. We opted for the one with two pies, rice balls, garlic knots, and fries. And also one more pie on top of that because why not? We got a square pie with half mushrooms, the Bad Racket (vodka, smoked mozz, ricotta, peas, prosciutto), and Lento's Ghost (thin crust margarita, basically). My BIL was most interested in the Lento's Ghost because his dad used to go to Lento's Pizzeria in Bay Ridge back in the day (it closed 15 years ago after 70+ years in the neighborhood). Everything was really good. As mentioned, the vodka pie with peas! Great sauce. Even my parents liked that one, and they hate most things. The square pie was nice and crispy. Not too thick of a crust. Great sauce, and the mushroom side was pretty loaded up. The Lento's Ghost was a great thin crust pizza. Pretty no frills. Just done very well. For the sides, we went with the big ragu riceballs (3 to the order). These were some pretty hefty balls. Generously stuffed, and went well with the tomato sauce. For the fries, you get a choice of sauce, so we went with the lemon ricotta. Also, they're not really fries. More like smashed potatoes, but if you ask me, that's even better! The garlic knots I could take or leave. Noticed it wasn't even on their regular menu outside of the family meal. But yeah, a ton of food. And leftovers for days! I only went in to grab my order, but the space looked great. A long bar with TVs and some good beers. They also have patio seating. And if you follow them on Instagram, you'll see all the live music they have. The servers were also super nice! Will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to try Brooklyn Firefly for some time now, but since I can't have dairy anymore, I'm always hesitant to try new pizza spots. After checking out the reviews though (and seeing that they had a vegan pie on their menu, just in case), I decided to give it a go. My date and I walked in on a Saturday without reservations and were seated right away. The first thing I noticed is that the place smelled AMAZING and smooth jazz was playing in the background. The space was dimly lit and has a very home-y feeling. We both had a feeling we'd love this place before we even reached our table. The pizza selections all looked amazing, with punny names that can't be beat. My date can have dairy (and I'm so jealous of him) so he ordered a couple of apps to start, although he felt bad that I couldn't partake lol. He went with the rice balls, The Big Ragu, and a side of fries (I think he ordered the basic, but these came with truffle - c'est la vie), all of which were devoured. We also finally decided our drink orders before choosing a pizza to split. He ordered a bourbon cocktail which he said was delicious, and I went with the namesake beer brewed in good 'ol Staten Island. I couldn't have been happier with my beer choice. For our pizza to split, we went with the Saturday Night Fever... partially because it was Saturday night, and 'when in Rome' lol. This comes with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, hot honey, hot soppressata & carmelized onions. Since I can't have dairy, we asked our waitress if they could make half of the pie without cheese which she said wasn't a problem (thank God). I would have tried the vegan pie but how could I pass up on hot soppressata and hot honey? I was happy that they were able to accommodate my sad allergy. The pizza was delicious (although our second server made a boo boo and topped it with sprinkled Parmesan which I had to painstakingly pick off, but I'll forgive). We couldn't stop raving about it, and when I told my date I'd write a Yelp review, he was adamant that this place deserved all the stars. Now that I know they can accommodate my disappointing dairy allergy, I feel like I'll be back again and again and again and again.... I can't wait to try some more pizza options. I just love their pizza and calzones. Good drinks selection. Love the old Brooklyn ambience. Live music on Saturday nights.

This is our favorite place ever! Such a gem of the neighborhood... Don't over crowd it haha! But definitely patronize!

Food: The Truffle fries are good. Its not actual fries but a smashed potato baked and made crispy. Ordered 2 family size (16") pies - one was 'half margarita - half pepperoni' and the other one was 'The Shrooms'. Overall good portion size, the slices were a bit thick so it felt like American-Italian pizza. The sauce to cheese ratio was good on margarita and shrooms was delicious as well. Drinks: Not really great. Margarita, Bourbon Oregano, Mezcal Mule were okay-ish, not too strong or well prepared. Just edible. Ambience: Very good and classy. Well lit and spacious seating inside and outside. The place also has a bar. The waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. But the prices are a bit on the expensive side.

Update: "Donna M" manager posted the same boilerplate response to my review of 5 years ago!! When my friends and I arrived at 9 o'clock on a Friday night at this restaurant bar, we were simply told they are not seating anybody else for the evening and attempted to turn away our group. When I explained, we just wanted to drink, this 15 year old looking boy squinted at me and said I have to check. He then came back and said OK then walked away. He didn't offer us to sit at a table and didn't offer menus with alcohol. He did tell us that the kitchen closes at 10 which was a full hour away. I asked to speak to whoever the manager on duty was. The manager on duty said it is simply policy to turn people away at 9 o'clock. I asked all we wanna do is drink. This is a bar right? She looked at me and said OK and turned away. Surrounding her for at least six other employees who didn't even bother to acknowledge our group, so I said great will be outside send the waitress. Maybe I'm just an old man who remembers a different time but when you go to the bar on a Friday night the kid who is supposed to see you Should not turn you away at 9 o'clock. Over priced pizza. The service staff treats you like you're not supposed to be there.

My husband and I walked by a few weekends ago (we just moved to the neighborhood) and tried peeking in through the windows since it seemed like they have live music from the signage out front (they were closed when we walked by). Then we got home and I forgot to check. But then this past weekend, a friend asked me to join her there. And I'm so glad I did. The Firefly is cozy as all get out- not cramped- simply cozy and warm and welcoming. Of course, it wasn't terribly busy when we were there, Covid still keeping folks away these days. But yes there was live music on a teensy little stage in back- with a 3 piece blues band (upright piano, upright bass, guitar and vocals). They were excellent, and fit the mood of the place to a T. And ahem, the FOOD? OMG so good. We shared a potato appetizer with lemon ricotta YUUMMMMMM. And we each ordered a personal pie- she can't eat certain types of meat, and I can't eat wheat. They took great care of both of us: I had the Saturday Night Fever GF pie with hot/sweet sopprasetta and hot honey (and cheese, red sauce, basil). SO GOOD. I just ate my last piece of leftovers just now :-) My friend had the Rosie- a unique and TASTY pie with red sauce, whipped marscarpone and fresh rosemary. I had a glass of wine which was excellent, and she had a signature cocktail which she seemed to enjoy very much ;-) Oh, and the service was impeccable- not fancy by any means- just spot on there when you needed them, which is grade A in my book. I could hardly wait to tell my husband about the place- we will most decidedly go back, and enjoy many incredible meals there in the future. Yay for the Brooklyn Firefly!

Great food and service. The former and beloved Lento's location now holds a hipster/jazz-esq theme and does so exceptionally well. Some of my favorite music from old school movies like A Bronx Tale and Goodfellas (Tony Bennett, The Ink Spots, Dion and the Belmonts) was playing which was a nice addition. Let's get down to business and shed some light on something very important: the pizza. If you want a great pizza, then this is the place. If you are really hungry, then you should probably order two pies simultaneously - this is not only because they are so easy to eat, but because it takes a solid 20 minute wait per pie itself. I've tried 3 pizza varieties and all have come with a thin, crunchy crust (the way it should be). The homemade sauce and mozzarella stand out and each bite delivers plenty of flavor. I have but one issue with this place, however, and it's that it passes one of their pies as a Lento's throwback. It is nothing of the sort. It is critical that you do not expect a Lento's Pizza from The Brooklyn Firefly. This is my only criticism, in the way that the staff and menu seemingly push an item called the "Lento's Ghost" as a pie resembling the now-gone classic. Although it is promised to have "extra crispy, crunchy crust" as the original Lento's on top of the mozzarella and sauce, it doesn't deliver nearly as well as it says it does and includes "basil oil" and a green basil coat of some sort. Now, I am not saying it isn't good, I am outlining the fact that it is far from Lento's and is extremely misleading. At least 2 cooks/kitchen staff members had expressed to my party and I that they "never tried the original Lento's" on top of that, which crushed my hopes of ever receiving the true "Lento's Ghost" I had hoped for. Let me give a short recap of why this isn't right I loved Lento's and my father loved Lento's 100x more. When the original Lento's closed, it hit him pretty hard, especially in the sense that his favorite restaurant (with his favorite pizza anywhere) was now closed for good. Bay Ridge, out of the blue, bore a restaurant with "Lento's-Styled Pizza" and he discovered it almost immediately - order was restored. The pizza was exactly the same and I stand as a primary source, having eaten at both restaurants. Bay Ridge closed sure enough and by 2011, we were left Lento-less. Now, in 2018, with hopes extremely high, and even higher after calling the restaurant to confirm that the new place crafts a "Lento's Pizza, the original way", my father and I were crushed once again. All it took was a look to determine what we would be tasting, and it wasn't Lento's

Really good, I ate so much of the fire fries with lemon ricotta I almost couldn't eat the pizza, a personal margarita pie, it was awesome. I definitely want to come back, it also has awesome decor. Go there!

It's about time for an update. Came here a couple of times during the summer. Service has gotten much better and also the food is much more tastier. I love the riceballs and the pizza is crunchy and tasty. Beers on tap and some ipas. The drinks aren't really strong, but will keep you sipping while chatting with friends. Will be coming back during the summer with my pupper and good company.

Absolutely obsessed! Heard so many great things about this pizza place: I tried it out and was amazed how good the pizzas are. Also pleasantly surprised that they have vegan options as well! Highly recommend this place.
