Thank you for the literal BEST banana pudding I have ever had in my entire life. I came in today after seeing the sign outside that ya’ll had banana pudding and thank God I did. I am healed. The sweet woman at the front was absolutely wonderful as well. The whole experience was superb and I will be back here over and over. I am in love. It’s so good. Thank you ♥️♥️

I ordered 3 cupcakes (red velvet, strawberry banana and strawberry shortcake) which totaled $18 which is very expensive if you ask me but two of the three did taste good. I didn’t like the strawberry shortcake one. I don’t think any of them are worth $6 though considering the size. Also, I asked for a receipt and they don’t print receipts or allow you to type your number in since it’s behind glass, so they ask you to say your phone number out loud in front of other customers… I never even got the text receipt after that

The desserts are on point in here. I honestly wanted to buy everything, but I decided to buy a slice of cake and a cookie this time around. I have to go back to try the cupcakes. I would recommend the apple crumble cookie. So delicious, and not overly sweet. The strawberry cake taste homemade (which I appreciate when cakes tastes like this) and was also yummy.

Absolutely love Brooklyn Sweet Spota and the owner Kym! We order her cakes for all our special occasions (weddings, birthdays, baby showers) and guests always rave about how amazing her desserts are. The carrot cake and red velvet are our favorites - moist, soft, flavorful 10/10 every time! They also make beautiful cake designs and are easy to work with when you have a custom design.

First, let me say, I have been a baker myself professionally for the past 9 years, and the texture, freshness, and flavors are on point 100% The banana pudding, red velvet cupcakes, and carrot cake slices are divine. Soft, fluffy, and the textures are spot on! Baybeee, the cinnamon rolls are to die for!!!! It's tastes like a brioche dough base, which shows they take their time to prepare the desserts with care. Loved it! Will be back when I'm in Brooklyn again. Thank you for doing things the right way!

Google
Baby when I tell you this red marble cupcake combo (I think that's what it was, they had me at red velvet lol) owe me nothing. It's was everything. I found my new favorite sweet tooth craving spot. Everything in there looked and smelled so good. I will definitely be back. I had my eye on a couple more things.

Best desserts I have ever had! Everything is delicious and my favorites are the peach cobbler, apple pie, and the Rosalie! Try it for yourself 🤎👌🏿

Someone tell my why I'm 14 years late to The Brooklyn Sweet Spot? I've lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years and have walked by this spot countless times since they opened in 2010/1 thinking "I really need to check this place out". Finally, and better late than never, I went in. First off, you're met with the most amazing smell of freshly baked goodness. To the right, you'll see the happiest plants chilling on shelves and in the window...and right in front of you a case of really beautiful baked goods. The folks there, Kim and Bobby, were great (kudos to Bobby's kitted-out nameplate necklace), were clearly happy to be there...how could you not working in a place filled with plants and smelling like that. We tried their "bomb-ass carrot cake" (their name, not mine, but 100% worth the title). Super moist, not too sweet, and without question, the best I've had in the neighborhood, if not all of NYC. We also tried the sweet potato bread pudding with this beautiful rum drizzle. I could literally eat that every damn day. As we know, the next 4 years are gonna' be rough. Do yourself a favor and make this a regular stop. I promise it'll keep us all going until 2028 and beyond.

Yelp
I really wanted to give this place a higher rating. Because the staff here is fantastic but the confections not so much. I tried a sweet potato pie and it was oddly lemony. The crust was really flaky, but a little overcooked. My friend got banana pudding and was disappointed in the taste and texture. Maybe I'll try them in the future and hope for the best.

Yelp
Been eyeing the sweet potatoes pie for awhile now and finally got a chance to try it. Warm and delicious... super soft and tasty. Myrtle Avenue is a favorite spot for food and treats. This is yet another great spot to explore and try more... Next time I think I might sample the cupcake patron or coconut pecan. A perfect treat when you are in the mood for something sweet; smaller portion sizes helps when your trying to watch your figure. Happy Holidays! Questions? Contact calendly.com/relevantviews.

Yelp
Yeah, I see why my mother loves the carrot cake here. Today, I got a mini sweet potato pie and it is so good. just the right amount of everything. I can only imagine the full pie. Smells good when you walk in, I suggest when in the area and ya sweet tooth is acting up.....

Yelp
Great carrot cake and fantastic service as well. I've also tried their blueberry lemon cake and liked it!

Yelp
Omfggg!!! Honestly, I've always thought carrot cake was "alright" it's never wowed me and I never understood the hype of a good carrot cake until this place. My gf has been non stop talking about it since I arrived in the city. Yesterday we took a mid-day snack break and headed here. The cake.... The carrot cake.... BEST CARROT cake of literally, literally my entire life! They are not boasting this is a legit thing. Get the carrot cake. It was $8 per slice

Ronnette J.

Yelp
Staff is always pleasant, dessert is always so good!!!!! It's such a quaint spot. I open they get all the love & support deserved!

Yelp
Our guests are arriving around 3:30 on Sunday. We wanted to sit down, have a meal, and chat. I called to make a reservation at this cafe. Artem answered, saying he was the manager. He asked, 'Will you leave by 5?' I thought maybe there was a banquet after 5, but I was told, 'No, we just have two time slots: until 5 and from 6. It's inconvenient for us otherwise. Even Igor (the owner) won't be able to help you.' It felt very rude and unprofessional. I've lived in the US for 30 years and have been to this cafe many times (though usually after 6), but I've never encountered service like this anywhere before. My desire to visit again has probably disappeared for good.

Yelp
I was driving by when there signs caught my eye. So glad I did their cupcakes and apple pie were delicious. The gentleman working the counter provided great service. Will definitely stop by again.

Yelp
I tried to place an order and followed the instructions given from the second employee that I spoke with. The second employee called the first one out for not communicating their policies correctly with me. Which employee is correct and which one is telling the truth? I am not really sure. In the end, they both lied to me. I attempted to order a cake exactly the way I was instructed to by the second employee, since she was more adamant that she was correct. In fact, I ordered it as per her instructions and paid for the cake online, per the instructions given to me (it was a birthday cake for my son and we do not live in the same state). I was happy the cake was ordered and let my son know he could pick it up on Saturday, because I had received a confirmation. Then about an hour later, I received 3 emails cancelling my order with no explanation. I will share that it is difficult to get through via the phone (most of the time, they do not answer and their phone prohibits being able to leave a message), but I tried until an employee actually answered. It took at least 10 attempts at this point and time. Once connected, the employee told me the chef decided she didn't want to make the carrot cake that I ordered. I was instructed to order one online and wait ten days to pick it up! Admittedly, this is some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I prefer to support any and all small businesses, but NOT The Brooklyn Sweet Spot! Here is the SILVER LINING. I googled another bakery in Brooklyn that had great reviews for carrot cake and found CHARLOTTE PATISSERIE. I called once, they answered. They were FRIENDLY and POLITE. I asked if I could get a carrot cake on Saturday for my son's birthday. The woman that answered asked me to hold on. I heard her say, "Chef, can you bake a carrot cake for Saturday." The answer was YES. It was the perfect experience. My son picked the cake up and it was absolutely beautiful! He and his friends said it was "delicious." I would highly recommend choosing CHARLOTTE PATISSERIE, if you are wanting a pleasant experience and a great product. They have two locations. I ordered from their Greenpoint location. Their phone number is (718) 383-8313.

Yelp
I went into this establishment the other day to try their cupcakes. I got the last two vanilla cupcakes. I gave one to a friend for her birthday and I kept the other for myself. When I tell you that the cupcake was delicious OMG. It was flavorful and the frosting on the top provide the right amount of sweetness. When I went to the store they were going to close soon so most of the treats were already gone. I'm glad I got to try the cupcakes. I will definitely be back to try more flavors. The cashier was very nice and the place was quiet. Thanks for making delicious treats. I'll be back again soon.

Yelp
My new favorite place!!!! Friday I was feeling something sweet and my best friend recommend The Brooklyn Sweet Spot. Talk about amazing! I was greeted by this very handsome young man with a beautiful smile. And his energy matched. Not only was he patient and knowledgeable of all the goodies; but his recommendations was great too. I walked out with their box of joy (4 cupcakes) and 2 of there delicious bread puddings. For anyone whose looking for some amazing sweets & eye candy lol, go to Brooklyn Sweet Spot on a Friday.

Yelp
Everything is right about this Black Woman Owned business. I haven't met a dessert that I didn't like! Had to have my beloved chocolate seduction cupcake on Sunday because is didn't get any of my chocolate birthday cake!

Yelp
This place is the devil!!! Someone said, it is a diabetics nightmare. I love their carrot cake, apple bread pudding (don't forget the rum sauce), and strawberry cheesecake... Lawd, have mercy. The service is outstanding. This has become my go to for sweets.

Vanessa N.

Yelp
This is my favorite dessert spot in Brooklyn. The desserts taste like they are from down south especially that amazing banana pudding. We moved from Brooklyn to Manhattan but we will miss this spot. This was our go to place for after school treat and the new young man working there is so nice and remembers you. I like that there is always something new on the menu and lots of experimentation and trying new recipes. I miss this place!

Yelp
Ms. Kym (the owner) was truly a delight. Was with my colleagues from work having lunccn and we atopped here on the fly for a sweet treat. To our surprise this was ah-mayzingg. We spent like 40 minutes here just talking with her and sampling items. The ladies bought treats to bring home. Has a real good family vibe in the place and you can taste the love all the way down in your pallet with each bitee We look forward to coming back when in the area agAin. Pricing was very reasonable. Space is inviting and has about 2 chairs to chill out, but def a grab and go spot. This gem on Myrtle is wonderful.

Yelp
Forget this place! In the spirit of supporting small businesses int Clinton Hill, I tried to go there to purchase some treats for a dinner an event I was attending. They REFUSED to let me in. There was no one else in the bakery and I was wearing a mask. I was following the rules. They wanted to me to order from the street. HELLO? it's a bakery! You shop with your eyes. How do I know what is appealing unless I see it. The girl behind the counter said she would describe it to me. I'm NOT BLIND. DENIED. Hey.. why won't you let people in your store? I was in a few months ago so it ain't COVID. Shop LOCAL my ASS. I tried.

Yelp
To the 420 community and Cypress Hills Insane asylum, Skinny Pablo had an event on Butler Street and could not fly back to California until he purchased COOKIES, and CARROT cake, not just for himself but for B-Real of Cypress Hill Everything at this shop is next level, the owner makes these treats with surgical precision and perfection, Sweet Spot is the spot
google avatar

Glen G.

Yelp
Is it convenient to order from the sidewalk through a walk up window? Nope. Do you have to kind of know what a cupcake is before you order? Yup! Is this place amazeballs? HECK YEAH. I don't even like pastries generally but their peach cobbler, apple pie, banana pudding, and red velvet are to effing die for. The staff is always warm and friendly and they are quite helpful. I love this place.
google avatar

Christine D.

Yelp
First time visiting this bakery & definitely will be back! The cake slices may not look the neatest but both were equally delicious. I got the carrot cake & mixed slice w/ vanilla, chocolate & red velvet. Both cakes were very moist & fresh!
google avatar

Brandon T.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing bakery. Possibly the best carrot cake I've ever had. The cupcakes are all very good, and any other cake/pie I've gotten has been as well. The regular brownie is a pass (cheesecake brownie is fire), but otherwise you really can't go wrong!

Adam E.

Yelp
Has the best carrot cake in the US. The cupcakes are also enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Tiramisuzy F.

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place, but they literally had 3 things left when I went. Clearly, they don't manage supply and demand adequately, and then I bought a nearly $10 slice of cheese cake, which turned out to be highly mediocre. Oh, and they don't take any firm of mobile payment.

Karen W.

Yelp
I have only tried the chocolate chip butter crunch cookie, which was gooey and delicious! Service seemed friendly as well.

Yelp
I ordered a cake for a friend 50th birthday dinner, and I have to say that I was very disappointed when I saw the size of box the cake was in (6 cupcakes fit in the box that the cake was in), this cake was to serve 6 to 8 people, I had it to serve 12 to 15 people. But this is just the beginning of it, not only was the wrong size was made, the owner didn't even call me to let me know, waited until I got there to pick up the cake. As a good business person, you should let your client know what happened and then fix the mistake that was made, she didn't. Instead, she charged me for the six cupcakes (and I still paid for the small cake, her mistake, not mine), she could have at least given me the 6 cupcakes for free. I will not purchase from The Brooklyn Sweet Spot ever again, due to her poor customer service that was provided.

Yelp
I was driving around secretly wanting something sweet, and I happened to be passing Brooklyn Sweet Spot. I decided to stop and that was both a good decision and a bad one. When I got to the widow, I was like a kid in a candy store. I just started ordering, two different types cupcakes, two different brownie's and cookies. I said they were for the "kids". Every bite was better then the last and that's were I made, bad decisions. Whenever you are craving something sweet Brooklyn Sweet is a most go destination point.

Joy M.

Yelp
This was probably one of the worst experiences with a business I've had. I tried to order a custom cake, and went through the process of filling out the online request form, but never got a response. I really wanted a custom cake for an event I was hosting, so I dmed the bakery's IG. The owner responded and told me to check in later about the cake, bc they were training a new team. I waited and reached out on the day they said, and was told they'd be able to make my cake. I was extremely excited, and let the owner know I could pay the balance right then, along with whatever else. The owner said they were super busy so they'd get back with me about those logistics....and then ghosted me completely. Never reached out to say they could no longer do the cake, never responded to additional outreach, just ghosted. This bakery is extremely unprofessional which is sad, bc the cakes look good.

Yelp
Love love love. Had the carrot cake from here and it was delicious. The owner was super sweet. She has a picture of her grandmother on the wall which I thought was super adorable. She said her grandmother was the one who taught her how to bake. This is a Black owned business which I love and will continue to go to :-)
google avatar

Alisha C.

Yelp
I was kinda skeptical trying anything from this place because it was dead inside. But because my boyfriend was experiencing a sweet tooth and persisted we go in. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and very nice. I bought a chocolate cheese cake brownie, sweet potato pie which was small but very good SN have it warm and with ice cream and raspberry cupcake which was pretty good. I will definitely revisit to try more things. Everything is baked on premises and they close after they sell out.

Aretha S.

Yelp
Brooklyn Sweet Spot, I have to say the 2 dozen Carrot Cupcakes for my sons 7th birthday was a hit. My son loved every cupcake and was so happy at the end of his night. I am grateful that you rescued me but will always have a client in me. Aretha Saxon

Yelp
Deceptively sold STALE PASTRY The pastries at this establishment are usually fresh and amazing! However this evening at ~7:15pm I walked in and noticed 3 small apple pies in the display case. I excitingly ordered one and walked to the register. The server gave me a pie in a paper bag. I sat to eat the Apple pie and noticed it looked nothing like the pies on display and tasted stale. I convinced myself I was imagining things and reluctantly ate the pie. After eating the pie I went back to the display case and noticed the same three lovely looking mini pies were still there. I questioned the server as to where the pie I bought was taken from. The server said "the display case". Rather than getting into a confrontation, I accepted her answer. She was very quick to offer a refund or another pie. Both of which I refused. The point of this post is if you're going to sell stale goods the customer needs to be informed. I was very DISAPPOINTED that the server tried to deceive me into thinking I purchased a freshly baked good. I was also disgusted that she would risk my health :-(...I walked out the store hoping I don't get sick as the night progress. If you must purchase from here, be sure to observe from where they obtain your pastry.

Anna I.

Yelp
Really wanted to support a local shop but not sure if it's because of the pandemic that it's so thread bare. There were only 4 flavor cupcakes to choose from, and just sitting out in a store with no AC behind a glass case. The interior was blocked so you have to order from outside and the back oddly looked like it was someone's living room. You'd had to ring a bell for service. And a cupcake cost $5 that tasted like Betty Crocker. Disappointed
google avatar

Danii P.

Yelp
Customer service sucks ! Waited in line hoping to get a cupcake . As the associate was ringing out a guest I was asked " can I help you " I than said yes I would like to purchase a cupcake . " sorry we don't have no more " I than pointed to the cupcakes that were behind the glass ( confused ) why I couldn't get anything . " those are reserved " Mind you she said it so fast like she didn't even want my service . I immediately walked out , from the body language & time , I was completely turned off .

Yelp
YUM!! I bought brownies and cookies to thank some colleagues, and of course, I had to test them first. I LOVED the salted caramel brownie, and banana pudding (as good as magnolia, if not better) as well as the oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies. I can't wait to go back to try to the cheesecake brownie and the bread pudding.
google avatar

Yelp
Would've been fine stars if costumer service was at the same level of cup cakes..OMG. Delicious, fresh, so many good things around this yummy spot. Just my opinion, I don't know what flavor does each cup cake has so if you are working behind the counter try not to show me how much you dislike me asking you about it!.
google avatar

Lorianne W.

Yelp
Delicious banana pudding. They also created a banana strawberry pudding which is delicious but it's not on the menu just yet (they gave out samples). The cashier was so nice! She was very patient and explained everything to me. I'll definitely come here again. I ate my banana so fast I forgot to take a picture.

Jen C.

Yelp
I ordered cupcakes and cookies for 4 of my NY-based colleagues, and it was wonderful working with the team at Brooklyn Sweet Spot. They had a delivery person (so I didn't have to go through those third party apps that take such a huge cut from restaurants), and they were wiling to deliver to 4 different boroughs! They also included a card with a message that I wanted to give each person. My colleagues all received their treats and thought they were super delicious! I would definitely recommend Brooklyn Sweet Spot to anyone who needs a sweet treat or who wants to send a gift to a friend.

Yelp
Totally disappointed in the service I received this evening, Saturday 12/14 about 5:20pm. Walked in with my husband and the woman (hair was in a twist out looking style with a hat on) barely acknowledged us the first 6 seconds we were there. I literally had to walk up to her for her to say anything. You would think walking into a business and someone that is behind a counter a few feet from the entrance would acknowledge your presence. That already had my eyebrow raised. Still I proceeded to look at what goodies they had. I asked for the banana pudding and told this rude and inconsiderate person that I'd take two. I then got a couple more bakery items and a cookie. then I went to the counter to pay. When she told me the balance I was looking at the chalkboard to the left of the register where the prices were. Instead of this person asking me what size in the banana pudding I wanted she just threw in the larger size. I asked her if the smaller size was available and she tells me that it's not because it's sold to other businesses (as if that's an excuse to use for this person not giving me the option to choose if I'd take the available size or not). After I was done she handed my card back to me saying "here you go" and walked off to help someone else. So dismissive and disgusting. I also noticed she happily greeted another customer that came in. I won't say that I won't patronize this bakery again because I love their banana pudding and mini sweet potato pies. I will say when I do choose to come back if she's in there I'll pass. And to that person, whether you are the employee or the owner just know your actions are disgusting and you need to take a course on customer service.
google avatar

Tania A.

Yelp
Everything here is so yummy! Make sure to come early because the sell out fast. My favorite is the sweet potato pie. it's a good thing they are small because I would eat the whole thing if it was a regular size.
google avatar

Reshard R.

Yelp
Here's to the black owned businesses making legacy with their generational recipes. From the sublime sweetness to the understated decor everything about this place screams neighborhood shop as well as lovely ode to the generation before it. I went in late but even the selection they still had was amazing and inventive.

Brenda C.

Yelp
Excellent cakes, pies and cookies. My only complaint is if you don't arrive early you will miss because this sweet business sale out when it's doors are open.
google avatar

Robin T.

Yelp
Stopped here after an appointment and the moment I walked in, I knew I was about to become a fan. The aroma upon entering made me want to buy everything up without even looking at a menu. There were some cookies and brownies on display as soon as I walked in and I wish things were presented a tad bit better, because first glance it seemed like there weren't many options. Upon full inspection, there were some other pasties and they also have ice cream, but still minus a star for presentation. When I enter a bakery or other sweets spot, I expected to see a display case sprawled out with treats, this wasn't the case. I went with the regular brownie and it was very chocolate and moist but not outstanding or anything to write home about. Literally just basic. I'd come back and try ice cream or something else just to give them another chance.
google avatar

Mary G.

Yelp
Good cupcakes and cookies but every time I come they quote me a different price for the same products depending on their mood. They should put up a sign for how much everything is because last week I bought a cupcake for $4.50, and yesterday for $6.50. What gives?
google avatar

Tanya S.

Yelp
I must say, my sister and i craved their banana pudding, so off we went, to Myrtle's sweet spot. We went over budget and purchased 3 banana pudding. We fought the traffic all the way home because we knew sweetness was waiting to be enjoyed. As we opened our deliciousness, we took a scoop and that creamy, mouth watering taste WAS NOT THERE!!! I gave this spot a 5 star because today was the only time i have experienced their "off day". I just need to know, was this a, oops we were out of ingredients recipe or is this the new wave forgoing. I NEED ANSWERS!!! IF THIS IS THE NEW WAVE, YALL OWE US $15 PLEASE AND THANK!
google avatar

Baketolife C.

Yelp
I moved away from NYC for over a year now and still think about the carrot cake, probably monthly. Of all the carrot cakes I've eaten, I've never tasted anything as good, and I have a discerning, yet insatiable, sweet tooth. If I do move back to NYC, it will partially be because of Brooklyn Sweet Spot.
google avatar

Elle G.

Yelp
I've been here twice. I had a brownie the first time and got the banana pudding the next time. Both were delicious. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and the bakery seems to have a good variety of sweets overall. I look forward to coming back and trying more stuff!
google avatar

Wanj M.

Yelp
They never seem to be open during the day or at least always have a "we'll be back soon" sign. I pass it daily and struggle. When you are lucky enough to make it in, service is lack luster. You have to beg to be spoken to, let alone attempt to ask questions. If you make it past inquiring what flavors of cupcakes etc and settle on one -- guess what "they are reserved or sold to someone else" no apologies, no we'll have some more in an hour (you're a bakery, baking new batches should be a reasonable expectations). If you get through all that and manage to find them open (during the day), a flavor you want, patience to deal with the attitude. Cupcake was just blah, apple pie was old...... I really wanted to give this place a chance as having a bakery in the area that was good would be amazing -- (thus my trying often). I give up.

Yelp
Ok, yes, you may have seen me exiting this place with a worried look on my face, peeking out from the door looking left then right then scurrying down Myrtle avenue with my sort after prized possessions!! (No I will not give you a description of myself) The Cupcakes, Carrot cake "Banana Pudding" Brownies, Cheese Cake, Whatever you decide to get you'll undoubtedly be back for more!! Why you might ask? Not because they're Good, Nooo it's because they're not, They are truly "AMAZING" And I'm Speaking from Experience!! Closes at eight so don't be late!!
