Stopped in on a Friday morning for a quick breakfast with my teen. To his pleasant surprise they had chicken and waffles and the waffles are Texas-shaped. They have great coffee selection and the regular brews are free refills. We will be back.

If I could give this restaurant more stars I would! They made our first time going so welcoming. I want to give a special thanks to Mya, for going above and beyond.. from customer service to making the best caramel macchiato I’ve ever had! She really did her thing! Your kindness and service made me drive out there again! Food is really good and comes in good portions. There’s alot of space and tables. Texas shaped chicken and waffles, plus pancakes were amazing.

Google
A good place for American Mexican breakfast. Burrito, beans and Cheese. Their grits are surprisingly good the flavor is just right. I don't recommend ordering their hash brown. It's kind of burnt and tasteless. Their coffee is pretty good with a cinnamon flavor. I would not recommend their hot cakes. First of all it is too big and they shouldn't mix the fruit with the batter. It's better to just leave the fruits on top.

Came out for some brunch and to enjoy this nice weather. The place was spacious with plenty to room to sit at, outside and inside. You order at the front and you do have to get your own plate once called but the orders come out fairly quick, the prices are pretty great. The food was good, my chicken waffles could have used a bit more flavor but they were okay. We had mimosas and those were a good strong! We had a great time sitting outside here, the back patio is covered and had quite a few tables.

Google
Nice restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is served all day. We had their lunch menu today. BLT basket and a chicken salad basket. Both sandwiches came with chips. I originally wanted breakfast, but I wanted items that seemed kinda pricey. They have breakfast plates available, but I wanted eggs and 2 meats. All meets are priced al la carte. For instance, a sausage link or patty was $4.39 each. That seemed crazy expensive to me. I opted for the lunch instead. Seating is complicated if you go around the breakfast hours or the lunch rush. We didn’t have any trouble finding a table since it was after the busy time. They have small patios on both sides of the restaurant. Patios are dog friendly. This establishment is a walk up order style. They call your name and you retrieve your food. You also get your own drink. With all the self service, they still ask for a tip when paying. If you follow me, you will notice a trend here; I don’t like the expectation of tipping these days. It grinds my gears! All that said, I do like the restaurant and I recommend it. Side note: the pancakes I saw at the table next to us were huge! Like as big as your face huge! That seems to be a big item ordered there.

Consistency. Cleanliness. Energy. Buffalo Grille has been a staple of the community over years and through so many storms we have endured in Houston! The food hits the mark every time and the management is stellar! Thanks for constantly improving every aspect of the experience for my family and me.

Google
My boyfriend and I came here on a rainy day to get turkey burgers. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the place is clean. The food is okay, everything is just kind of plain. We both agreed that this doesn’t taste like a $10 burger, it’s just fine. Like something you would have at a backyard party grilled by the dad. It’s like nice but I wouldn’t pay as much as I did for it. The fries also have no seasoning, plain, boring potatoes.

Google
It’s our first time here and we came on feather’s day at 11am and it was not full it was perfect we came in and put our order in and with thin 5 mins our food was ready. I loved their coffee it was soooo good. And my order was not to bad. But I did had to buy the coffee cause I was I love with it lol

Yelp
Hamburgers and fries and onion rings. Kid had mini corn dogs with Mac and cheese. Burgers were very good! Fries good, onion rings were good not the best but good. Kid ate her mini corn dogs but could not stomach the Mac and cheese. She says the powder cheese tasted like powder. I agree!!

Yelp
Buffalo Grille is an institution. I've always heard good things about them. For whatever reasons, I've driven by here for years and never tried it - until now. The restaurant looks incredible inside. It is really quite charming. A friendly, personable gentleman was the manager and he was working the counter and on top of things. My friend and I both ordered one of the daily specials which was a basket of fried shrimp and French fries. Fried shrimp were somewhat fresh. We are an hour from the gulf, so you can't expect them to be super fresh like you're on the water and the boat just came in. They were slightly overcooked. Now, I must admit that I am a picky bastard when it comes to seafood. So, take my critique with a grain of salt. Most people would scarf them down and enjoy them. Cocktail and tartar sauces were excellent. Probably best in town. The French fries were addicting. I'm definitely going back and look forward to trying their other fare.

Yelp
Had their BGLT on white bread. Sandwich was small though tasty enough. There were a few potato chips served with the sandwich but not many. If a loud venue is what you are looking, this is the place. I feel a bit offended when asked for a tip at check out as customers both order and pick up their food at the counter. Customers get their own silverware, drinks....all the work. There is no "service." As the customer does all the work so I am not sure why a tip would be required. Would maybe go back if friends wanted to go though really not high on my revisit priority list.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordering at the counter isn't a big deal, but suggesting a 30% tip is a bit much, for not doing anything, except pouring a really bad mimosa. I have no idea what champagne they use, but they had to add too much OJ just to it to make it drinkable. It's served in an oh so elegant plastic cafeteria cup. The condiments were made with everything but the actual product. The egg was good, the hot cake was good, the bacon could've been cooked longer, it was too greasy and limp. The hashbrowns are soggy and grey. Overall, I wouldn't bother going to this place, head across the parking lot to Carraba's.
google avatar

Cherrish A.

Yelp
The worst breakfast I've had in a while. The staff is friendly but I've been disappointed every time I've eaten there. Everything on my plate tasted extra burnt and I wish they would have mentioned that the hashbrowns have onions

Yelp
This restaurant is a -0 The customer service was absolutely horrible. I was treated like a piece of trash when speaking to supervisor! they were in no way interested in helping or fixing anything i was called names, by the superviosr other than my own. Disgusting behavior. If you are black, please do not go here.! spin your money where you are appreciated. Absolutely not here. I'm currently taking further steps of action... guys. Be safe and be careful, but this was absolutely a horror story today.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast at Buffalo Grille. Tried the huevos rellenos and was thoroughly impressed. We'll worth a stop.

Yelp
Terrible. I hope the owner reads this. Buffalo Grille could be an empire for their location and the advantage of being the only breakfast spot in the area. I've been a total of 3 times for meetings in the morning because of their location. The first time was awful, the second time was terrible and the third was absolutely inedible. This business hired two smug, surly men to "greet people" good morning and take customers orders. If I hadn't been in the company of kids I would have told those to gentleman to take a hike. Someone should report them to the rude police because good lord they were BOTH little assholes. Hope they read this too. Not today Satan. Slop disguised as food. I hope this place closes out soon or gets new management because all it is a gigantic mess. Starting with their employees! Get someone in there that wants to work, not these entitled little punks who can't move a muscle to even smile. Bye bye buffalo. Gross.

Yelp
Breakfast! Buffalo Grille is so fun and always tasty & reliable! They have pleasant and professional staff & delicious coffee. The menu is extensive and flexible. The restaurant is cozy and lively. The omelet was cooked to perfection. Such a wonderful spot for hearty, fresh and hot breakfast!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place. I discovered it because I go to the nail salon across the way, and wandered over here one day and now I can't stop coming back. It is the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch! The staff is always VERY friendly and helpful and I always feel a welcoming/homey feel when I walk in. I introduced my boyfriend to Buffalo Grille and now he's hooked too! He's actually visited a few times without me. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
This place is absolute trash. I don't live in the area so when we come for my husband's doctor's appointments, I always try to give local places a try. The guy who took our order did not greet us at all. We looked at the menu as he was propped up against the counter. Never asked us a thing or spoke to us. When my husband asked if there was a meal that included bacon, eggs, and a side of pancakes, his response was rude and he acted as if our presence offended him. When I went back to the counter for butter, the same guy was leaning across the counter on his phone. It's a shame that someone who lacks such people skills is greeting the public. Place was not clean and food was so underwhelming. My pancakes were very undercooked. The crummy food mixed with the crummy attitude will definitely keep us from never returning. I'm actually surprised this place is even open considering the area and such poor service.
google avatar

Alfredo C.

Yelp
The menu is very similar to the olden days and the food is still just as good. This is a reliable spot to have a traditional American breakfast. But they also have Mexican breakfast so take your pick.
google avatar

Dixon W.

Yelp
Food is ok but margarine is really gross. That I can't put butter on my grits and toast knocks off two stars from this place. They won't care though... the place is filled despite the gross margarine.
google avatar

Bill G.

Yelp
Great for breakfast. I either have an omelette or chilaquiles. Very Texan atmosphere. Counter service is very efficient.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great weekend brunch spot! It has quick service and we love the pancakes. Great place to take your kids to.

Ruth C.

Yelp
The food was average, the service was a two out of five and the ambience was a joke. This is clearly an establishment that is owned and or managed by Latin people who wish they could change the color of their skin to be white. I have never seen somebody try to please and kiss ass so hard, then this hispanic man in a white shirt that was running this establishment today. His staff, one elderly lady, who clearly lost her smile in her country and a young lady who can't find her way around a paper bag that were cleaning the tables were totally unfriendly. Almost Offended that I spoke Spanish to them. The cashier, obviously a Latino young man in a red shirt couldn't look at this Latina in the eye as he was taking my order but couldn't wait to help out the next white person... comical to watch because it was my husband. If you want average but a good show, come to this place. What a joke.... My hard earned $$$ won't be wasted here...

Yelp
If you have a hearty appetite after working out ,this is the place to eat. They offer breakfast all day and lunch and dinner after 11am. Their make your own omelettes with egg whites are a healthy option and have a variety off add ins such as spinach, mushrooms and guacamole for a small upcharge. The wait could be long to order as they are a busy establishment but they serve their food quickly after orderd.Enjoy.
google avatar

Christopher Z.

Yelp
This place was solid! I got an omelette with spinach, bacon, and sausage while my girlfriend got the huevos rancheros. We also shared a cinnamon roll. The omelette was pretty solid but didn't come out extremely warm, which is how I like them. The food did come out quick. She really enjoyed her food but was saying that the cinnamon roll seems to have sat out for a while as it didn't taste very fresh-which I agree with. The inside was still kinda warm but on the outside the icing didn't taste very warm and it was fairly rigid. Overall for the price I really enjoyed the food-the quantities were large and the food was solid.
google avatar

Suneel C.

Yelp
Its pretty average, all around. Service, not really. Food, greasy. Coffee, average. Only real thing I thought was above average was the decor. A bit disappointed because its across the street from my house.
google avatar

Tania M.

Yelp
So I didn't get to try their food even though I was excited to go here. As soon as I walked in a lady behind the counter yelled across the room I can't bring my pup in. I was actually walking in to ask if it was OK to sit outside with my puppy and eat.... she continued to give me a sort of unwelcoming attitude to I decided to leave instead. I saw on another site that it Saud this restaurant was pet friendly. I beg to differ. I love to eat and I was hoping to find a spot close to my new home in Texas to come often to.

Carly H.

Yelp
Loved this spot! Quick service, so many options, and all great food! So happy we found this spot!

SoulReaperSlayer19 ..

Yelp
First time eating here today! Got the Eggs and Sour Cream Chives w/ 2 pancakes. I came for the pancakes because I heard how huge they were, but the eggs were what really sold me. I've never had such soft and creamy eggs before, the consistency was unusual but in a very good way. I don't really know how to explain, it was as if I was eating pudding or something. It was such a treat. As far as the pancakes go they were huge and tasted good but the eggs were the real winner.
google avatar

Ardara H.

Yelp
Had the French toast and they actually created the way I truly love it. Parking was a bit different. Lol. They do an outstanding job of maintaining social distancing. The food was really good:). The music was nice and the ambiance was befitting the theme. The establishment keep some pretty good hours. The bacon was well make and housed a homey cabin taste. Nice to halt by for a bite
google avatar

Miriam H.

Yelp
This was not really good food. I ordered an omelet that I customized and it was tasteless. I also ordered an A la Carte sausage that was also tasteless.... the coffee I ordered was Pecan flavored but they don't have a variety of creamers just the plain half and half which didn't allow for a tasty coffee experience, however, despite the food the Service (cashier at the front) was absolutely kind and accommodating. This place appears to be a bunch of local supporters (I can't imagine coming here daily) and everyone was social distancing.
google avatar

Kristin R.

Yelp
This place has great chilaquiles on the weekends. The refries beans actually have flavor! The eggs are cooked perrfectly and the sauce they use is tasty. Throw a little cholula on top and you're good to go! Their pecan coffee is good, but it's even better if you mix it half and half with their Colombian coffee.

Yelp
Buffalo Grille is located in a nice shopping center with several other businesses. It can get pretty busy at peak hours but I was able to find a spot at 11:30 on a Friday. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready. For lunch, you can order both breakfast and lunch items as breakfast is offered all day. That gives you a lot of options but it's your basic American fare with a Mexican twist. Not much stands out on the menu as far as creativity but they do have a nice variety. I went with the lunch menu and got a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat with fries. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were interesting. They had a breading of sorts, I liked it. Buffalo Grille get pretty busy but the line moves quickly. If you're there at a peak hour, things can get pretty annoying because they're seemingly calling out someone's name on the loudspeaker every 20 seconds. It's annoying and disruptive. It takes away from the dining experience.

Victoria H.

Yelp
So disappointing. I used to come here growing up all the time and loved it. The quality of the food has gone way downhill. I got a Buffalo burger and the meat was gross and the bun was stale. My husband got a breakfast meal. The hash browns were so soggy and the "homemade biscuit" was dry and stale. He also got a side of Mac and cheese and we didn't think they could mess that up...but it had NO flavor and was lumpy and gross. It just wasn't good. Especially since they have raised prices so much...was not worth the $40 we spent on our meal. Sadly, I will not be back.

Kerry H.

Yelp
Really bad chicken fried steak......frozen patty, fried, and greasy. Really good sides, tho'.
google avatar

Randy R.

Yelp
Try any where else. The food was bland and basic. Cafeteria style quality and taste. Pancakes were disappointing and hash browns were deep fried and dry as dust. Overpriced, will not return.
google avatar

Isidro O.

Yelp
This place has always been good! Great place to take the family for a nice breakfast! Remember do not save spots while in line during rush hours. COVID safe and very friendly staff! A Must try while in Houston!

Isabel B.

Yelp
I've been coming here for 10+ years. Their chocolate chip pancake and side of bacon is my go-to order! My boyfriend loves the sausage links, eggs, and hash. Love the fresh-squeezed OJ too! The ice is literally the best in town so I always get a to-go sod
google avatar

Shelene L.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times now because I wanted to try out a few of their menu items for consistency. My "go-to" dish here is the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and corn tortillas. This plate is hearty and tasty. Two chicken enchiladas smothered in green sauce and served with charro beans, rice, and a nice hunk of cornbread can really hit the spot. I've also eaten breakfast here. Personally, I think there are better breakfast places around the city. But, I noticed that the line was long and portions were hearty. Again, big portions and fresh preparation make it popular among locals.
google avatar

Kim F.

Yelp
Worst meal I have ever had, turkey sausage was literally rancid, burned cold hash browns, cold grits, Save yourself a trip to the emergency room and don't eat here.
google avatar

Mimi W.

Yelp
My friends and I use to meet here all the time. After a 2 year break, I decided to return with my sister and husband. I warned them about how busy it would be and the wait. Well, we arrived, found parking fast and walked up and ordered. No line, open tables, and it felt weird. I know why!!! The food is under par and it cost way too much for below average food. We should have went to House of Pies or Harris County BBQ for breakfast items. They offered a custom omelet yet they can't get it right. They forgot the cheese and when we brought the plate back (expecting a new omelet because there was only one bite missing and people want melted cheese in and on the omelet) they took 5 minutes to throw cold cheese on top. Ummmm, no thanks!!!!! Tasteless food and a disappointing visit for my out of town sister. I left food on my plate and let it go to waste. I could not eat it. Have you ever gone out to eat and then went home to eat because it just didn't do it for you? Yeah, that is what happened.

Sheila N.

Yelp
I always see the place busy. I gave it a try and was not impressed. The food doesn't have flavor. But staff was really great!

Keira O.

Yelp
DONT EAT HERE! The chicken is frozen, grits from a box and cold, disgusting chicken fried steak, Mac n cheese lacks flavor. At best, Mediocre food and ABSOLUTELY RUDE MANAGER, JOSE ARNIVA. It's time for him to retire! He made ageist and sexist comments to me on several occasions and refused to let me order soup on one particular day. He spoke in a condescending manner and used ageism repeatedly. I'm always polite and this is the last time JOSE will ever address women in this manner. Ageist, sexest, or racist comments are illegal. It's time to take action and I AM! If you're so desperate for customers, perhaps you should treat the one you in front of you with respect. I will be posting pictures at a future date as well as any pertinent information regarding action. The McAleer family are out of touch with what is happening in their restaurant and are not interested in their patrons as stated on their website. This 9th generation Texan thinks it's time to "Come and Get It".
google avatar

Joe A.

Yelp
Solid breakfast place with good atmosphere. The food is not high-end but always consistent. And the staff works to get order out fast
google avatar

Ken M.

Yelp
Never a bad meal... service is outstanding. Prices are fair.. The breakfasts are fresh cooked to order, lunches are amazing. They made me a keto meal and it was superb! Highly recommend

A K.

Yelp
Potatoes burnt, coffee taste disgusting, & the eggs hv no taste. At least I am not the only one to complain about your ignorant, disrespectful employees & supervisor. I blame supervisor for the bad experience, whether it is food or service. I am glad there are plenty of opportunities that one can choose from & be satisfied. I recommend to stay away. Will never return.

Anne S.

Yelp
This place is awesome!! The breakfast is traditional but the biscuits are out of this world!! Probably the best I've had. The staff if friendly and restaurant is very clean
google avatar

Yasmika S.

Yelp
I love this place!! I live in Atlanta, Ga now and I dream about all about the good food I had! Every time I come to Houston, I visit my Buffalo Grille Family.
google avatar

Teresa R.

Yelp
Terrible food! This place has the nerve to sell old food. We got eggs and pico and the pico was not fresh it looked dry the fruit we got was dry. Then we ended up with food poisoning. I will be calling the health department. This is not acceptable! Has anyone gotten sick from here?? I got the Noro virus!
google avatar

Starla W.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in a busy shopping center. The inside is very cute and quaint. They put a few tables on the sidewalk as overflow and "patio" seating. The food and coffee is a bit underwhelming. The price is very decent. The staff are very nice and pleasant. I came for my sisters birthday breakfast as she loves this restaurant but I probably will not return.

James K.

Yelp
I used to enjoy coming here but food has been terrible. I used to enjoy their chicken fried steak but last couple times it's eating like cardboard. Very disappointing! My wife asked for replacement chicken fried chicken which was average. On a good note, their sides of Mac and cheese and fried okra was excellent.
google avatar

John V.

Yelp
Food was good, but it looks like I won't be returning. Maria has a DIS GUS TING, AND I REPEAT... DISGUSTING attitude, not only towards me but towards my grandparents. I've never seen an employee being this rude towards their customers ever!!!
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
What a great find! I'm really glad we tried the Buffalo Grille. The breakfast was delicious and flavorful. The menu is creative and really tasty. The biscuits are really to die for, and everything our group ordered was an excellent new take on an old favorite, or a completely new creation. The service was really the best. All the staff made us feel as welcome as if we ate there every week, even though it was our first time in. We had one minor hiccup, and they took care of it like we were family. Great job, guys! I can't wait to come back and explore more of the lunch menu!
google avatar

Debbie P.

Yelp
Don't eat there. My daughter got food poisoning there Saturday. She had breakfast at Buffalo Grille (scrambled eggs and pancakes) around 10:00 AM. Within 2 hours she started vomiting violently every 15 minutes. Within 4 hours she had explosive diarrhea. By 5:00 pm she was so weak and dehydrated that we took her to the ER where she was diagnosed and treated for food poisoning. When I called and spoke (to someone who said he was the manager) they laughed and hung up. The restaurant is dirty, it's a cesspool. It is a public safety haIzard!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
BACON! bacon bacon bacon! This place has the best peppered bacon! It's worth going there just for it! Make sure you like pepper, but it is peppered bacon! A lot of people think of The Buffalo Grille as just breakfast, but we often go there when my husband wants breakfast and I want lunch. The chicken sandwich is very good. What I love is that you can get a variety of different breakfast items a la carte. If you want one piece of french toast (get it with the fruit on top!) or one ration of bacon you can get it! It's so great to be able to satisfy all your breakfast cravings in one meal! Definitely get there before church in the area lets out or the line WILL be LONG! Don't let the long lines deter you, it moves quickly, but it always nice to have no line. This location has more room than the Bissonnet location, more tables and space. I don't especially like the hash browns... they are full of onions and they don't fit my idea of 'hash browns'.
