Amazing food, we had the 5 course tasting menu and were so impressed. Friendly warm welcome from staff, the head chef is really nice and knowledgeable regards the food and wine. Will definitely return. The rooms look great and their stay and dine offers will have to be done!

Gorgeous pub tucked away in a lovely village. The food is really something special and much needed in the area for a different night out. We had the a la carte option. The Ham Egg starter is lovely and the venison with celeriac puree was delicious albeit the sauce was a little sweet for me but it went well with the dish. The canapés are stunning and the sour dough bread with marmite butter starts the meal off perfectly. Really worth a visit. We’ve been twice and enjoyed both visits. Next trip booked for December.

The food was great and the staff were very friendly and professional. It felt high-end without making you feel uncomfortable like some high end restaurants do. The food was amazing, there were flavours I wasn't expecting from some of the dishes. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend.

Chef Mark continues to bring surprises that will place a smile on your face. We enjoyed the nine course tasting menu paired with wine and it brought a joy to our dining palates. Bulls Head continues to be on dining experiences when visiting the UK and Mark does not disappoint. Chef and his team demonstrated clearly how they have earned those accolades and we were the beneficiaries of their skills and talents. Thank you for a wonderful evening and dining experience .. now how do I cook that egg to that perfect temperature?

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary here by having the 5 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious. All the different ingredients for the courses were explained to us by the very helpful staff, especially by Tom who was particularly knowledgeable. Couldn't fault the service. It is a little pricey - my husband had a glass of wine at £13 - but the food and drink are excellent and of the highest quality, so for a celebration once a year, it's nice to treat yourself !!

Free parking outside. A choice of a tasting menu or A la Carte. The latter has an option of two or three courses. The food was tasty, and service was fast and efficient. We even got a few complimentary tasters, too, on the A la Carte menu. Pictures of the menus included. Service charge is not automatically added ! It's worth a visit.

We visited for Sunday lunch having seen good reviews. The food was alright but we’ve had better roasts at less cost elsewhere. The place was let down by service- table not cleared properly between courses - one example was gravy and horseradish sauce still there when deserts had been served. Also cutlery was of poor quality and insufficient was provided. The knives would not cut meat properly, spoons had to be requested when required. Finally, menu is printed in such small print that it’s really difficult to see where price supplements are added - so be careful!

Wow, what an amazing find. The restaurant offered fantastic service, and the food was outstanding with a fabulous wine list. The Tasting menu with wine fight was beautifully cooked and presented, every dish was incredible with superb and interesting wine pairing. Hard to pick a favourite dish as they were all so good. Mark the chef presented each dish with enthusiasm and pride in his dishes- justifiably! The rooms are excellent too and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was beautiful with great choice, service and again amazing cooking. Couldn't fault anything. Can't wait to go back! Will definitely recommend this hidden treasure to friends & family.
