Bunch of Grapes

"The Bunch of Grapes might be the oldest pub in this historic town but it now comes with an appealing modern edge and a deli selling tempting treats. Downstairs has a pubby feel, while upstairs has more of a restaurant vibe, and you can have anything from a burger to an ambitious tasting menu." - Michelin Inspector

We've popped in to the Bunch of Grapes before for Sunday lunch and even though it was decent their normal.dinner menu looked far more ambitious and worthy of another visit. Since it's only a short walk from our daughter's apartment we booked with only shirt notice but early enough to easily get a table for three. And it didn't disappoint, quite the contrary - the dishes on the menu and their presentation and flavour were fabulous. Really very enjoyable, plus the deserts (which are never a big draw for me) were irresistible. Great little spot. Very jealous of my daughter having this place less than 100 yards away.

An unforgettable experience. The chef was absolutely outstanding — I haven’t felt emotions like this for a very long time. For a moment I felt exactly like in the film Ratatouille: the flavours were so deep and so personal that I literally teared up and remembered my childhood. This restaurant is truly underrated. The atmosphere is wonderful, warm and thoughtful, and every detail shows passion and mastery. I would genuinely love to shake the hand of the chef — a true master of his craft.

We came here for a Sunday roast, and it was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had! The quality of the food was amazing. We shared 3 different cuts of lamb which were cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was exceptional, and there were plenty of vegetables. Everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. This is such a lovely place in a beautiful town. I’d highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and made the dinner experience special. The cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable night. Our server, Miguel, was absolutely brilliant, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience.

I’ve heard many good things about the Bunch of Grapes, and I recently visited to see if it lived up to the hype. The restaurant is in a beautiful spot in Bradford on Avon, and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Once sat at the table we perused the menu. It was hard to choose because everything sounded so good. I settled on the arancini to start, which were stunning – beautifully flavoured and moreish. For the main course I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken dish, which featured a variety of elements that really sang together. I finished the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding which was sensational (and big too!). The setting, the service, and the food were all exceptional, and it was one of the best meals out I’ve had in a long time. I’d highly recommend a visit to the Bunch of Grapes as it was a spectacular experience.

Absolutely this is one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. Both beef and veggie options were brilliant and all tasted incredibly fresh. Reasonably priced and extensive drinks menu, staff were really friendly. Couldn’t reccomend more.

WOW! SO DEVINE. Oh my. I had the Hake and it was just unbelievably tasty. The tastes, the cooking - perfect. My Bf had the Dahl and he loved his! We had the triple cooked chips too, yummy! My only regret is not booking every night of my stay in Bradford on Avon, made everywhere else seem tasteless! The staff were friendly and chill too. Thank you!

A fabulous Sunday lunch celebrating My husband’s birthday. The a bunch of Grapes excelled on every level. Fantastic food, the lamb sharing board was delicious. A very enjoyable bottle of red wine”Pigmentum” a French Malbec. Followed by the passion fruit crème brûlée with mango sorbet… divine!

Yelp
I have been visiting BOA for a couple of weeks now. I gotta say... I really love this pub. The food is great, the beers are well chosen and interesting and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. The atmosphere downstairs in the bar is casual and relaxed. Dogs are allowed just like any British country pub. Its cozy without being cramped, I was there last Sunday and there was a local band playing very good music. Please try the pork belly if it's on the menu... or before 7 the £10 burger. Upstairs there is a very elegantly designed restaurant, more formal but spot on with ambience and service. Really, If only I could bring myself to post 5 stars but I'm cautious.

Yelp
This is a cosy little pub on the hill of Bradford on Avon. They also have a restaurant upstairs but you can eat in the bar downstairs too. They have a good selection of ales and drinks and at reasonable prices too, the food is really really good here. The one thing I would say is that the wait is quite long but then it does get busy, it's adviseable to book a table in advance. The menu is varied and rich, good range or starters including the good pub staples such as pate but also calamari and more exotic items. Mains also have a good vegetarian selection and the portions are generous, and the desserts are gorgeous. I really enjoyed it here and was pleasantly surprised by the bill afterwards. Very friendly staff and locals too, really welcoming place.

Yelp
So the first time I went to this place back in December, the owner was really cool. My boyfriend and I came in for one drink about 10 minutes to close, and while there was a weird atmosphere (older people, all local), they were friendly to us. The second time we went was in February. We were celebrating the completion of a project, so we were there with some friends (a group of 7 total). About 30 minutes to close, 3 of us walked in, and that same guy gave us some nasty look and told us they were closed. But the door said they closed in 30 minutes. And there were other people in there too. Do they just like the locals to outnumber the non-locals in case some sh*t goes down? Or did they just not like the look of us? Did they think we'd be there all night? We walked away sad and confused. Everything in town closes early, so we just had to end our celebration right there.

Yelp
If you like pie this is the place to be! They have a huge selection of homemade pies with mash, the Mutton pie was to die for, and they even have pies for vegetarians! (If you're into that sort of thing!) they'll even do you a doggy bag if you can't finish it all. (They are big!) Beer is good and there's generally a good atmosphere.
