"The Bunch of Grapes might be the oldest pub in this historic town but it now comes with an appealing modern edge and a deli selling tempting treats. Downstairs has a pubby feel, while upstairs has more of a restaurant vibe, and you can have anything from a burger to an ambitious tasting menu." - Michelin Inspector

We came here for a Sunday roast, and it was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had! The quality of the food was amazing. We shared 3 different cuts of lamb which were cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was exceptional, and there were plenty of vegetables. Everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. This is such a lovely place in a beautiful town. I’d highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

WOW! SO DEVINE. Oh my. I had the Hake and it was just unbelievably tasty. The tastes, the cooking - perfect. My Bf had the Dahl and he loved his! We had the triple cooked chips too, yummy! My only regret is not booking every night of my stay in Bradford on Avon, made everywhere else seem tasteless! The staff were friendly and chill too. Thank you!

We have stopped in the way on the Avon walk and we have not been disappointed:) The feeling is very local, the food quality is amazing, the staff was friendly and the place was busy, but not too busy. We went for classic fish and chips (very good, 5+), Venison huntch was very good, but with too many going on the plate, I would take out faggots and just leave cabbage and potatoes. We also had the celery pasta - again 5+. Overall everything was good but a bit too salty - easy to fix. The 4 it was for a bit disappointment on venison and salt, still I would come back!

We visited this lovely place from Bristol for the monthly roast club where we choose a different place to go. We where all blown away by the amazing taste and flavours. We mostly all had the roast Pork and Lamb. We have been to alot of establishments and this place is easily within our top 3. Highly recommended and in a lovely location in the heart of Bradford on Avon. You just have to visit this place.

This restaurant was amazing, we came here twice over the weekend. Thoroughly recommend the Flat Iron Steak and Salmon starter as well as passion fruit creme brûlée. The mix of flavours is exquisite, quality of ingredients superb and staff is without fault. Lovely choice of wines and friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Such an excellent value for money. We tried from entrees: salmon, pigeon and tomatoes and from mains pork belly/shoulder and flat iron steak. All were faultless and that’s why we came back 2nd time. Great thanks to the chef and all the staff. Definitely worth visiting, perfect for celebrating an occasion.

Had the beef Sunday roast - the gravy was superb, as were the potatoes. Plenty of veg. My only complaint is the beef was on the tough side. Service was perfect, they’d run out of Yorkshire puddings and the waitress, without us asking, kindly offered scotch eggs in replace! Can confirm they were delicious. The crab starter was tasty but so so small for £15. Gnocchi starter beautiful and tasty. All in all, really loved the menu, flavours and ambiance. Will definitely be back to try the cocktails and non-Sunday menu. The chefs clearly care a lot about good food. Parking was a little tricky to find.

Always a lovely roast dinner here, we’ve had both the beef & the sharing lamb, both are amazing! They also serve a roast until late evening, would really recommend if you’re visiting Bradford on Avon.

Lovely, intimate setting. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Very accommodating. Great food, top quality presentation, decent portion sizes and very tasty!! A1** The location is in a slightly random spot and there is no parking. (I suggest parking near the train station, it's about a 5min walk from there.) It was so well received that I forgot to take any pics ... it was impressive. If you like giant Yorkshires you're in luck! 📸 🙈 I shared the lamb roast (set meal for 2). The meat was tender, not fatty or chewy... cooked to perfection. Had a really nice Sunday roast, definitely one to recommend. Im not sure the building has the best disabled access, steps to the toilet and restaurant area etc. No beer garden or terrace. Extensive menu, i am very much looking forward to going back there soon, eager to try their other menus 🥰 ☺️

Yelp
I have been visiting BOA for a couple of weeks now. I gotta say... I really love this pub. The food is great, the beers are well chosen and interesting and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. The atmosphere downstairs in the bar is casual and relaxed. Dogs are allowed just like any British country pub. Its cozy without being cramped, I was there last Sunday and there was a local band playing very good music. Please try the pork belly if it's on the menu... or before 7 the £10 burger. Upstairs there is a very elegantly designed restaurant, more formal but spot on with ambience and service. Really, If only I could bring myself to post 5 stars but I'm cautious.

Yelp
This is a cosy little pub on the hill of Bradford on Avon. They also have a restaurant upstairs but you can eat in the bar downstairs too. They have a good selection of ales and drinks and at reasonable prices too, the food is really really good here. The one thing I would say is that the wait is quite long but then it does get busy, it's adviseable to book a table in advance. The menu is varied and rich, good range or starters including the good pub staples such as pate but also calamari and more exotic items. Mains also have a good vegetarian selection and the portions are generous, and the desserts are gorgeous. I really enjoyed it here and was pleasantly surprised by the bill afterwards. Very friendly staff and locals too, really welcoming place.

Yelp
So the first time I went to this place back in December, the owner was really cool. My boyfriend and I came in for one drink about 10 minutes to close, and while there was a weird atmosphere (older people, all local), they were friendly to us. The second time we went was in February. We were celebrating the completion of a project, so we were there with some friends (a group of 7 total). About 30 minutes to close, 3 of us walked in, and that same guy gave us some nasty look and told us they were closed. But the door said they closed in 30 minutes. And there were other people in there too. Do they just like the locals to outnumber the non-locals in case some sh*t goes down? Or did they just not like the look of us? Did they think we'd be there all night? We walked away sad and confused. Everything in town closes early, so we just had to end our celebration right there.

Yelp
If you like pie this is the place to be! They have a huge selection of homemade pies with mash, the Mutton pie was to die for, and they even have pies for vegetarians! (If you're into that sort of thing!) they'll even do you a doggy bag if you can't finish it all. (They are big!) Beer is good and there's generally a good atmosphere.
