The Bungalow Huntington Beach has that effortless tree house vibe I love. I stopped in for a mid-day cocktail and it felt like the perfect hideaway above Pacific City with ocean breezes and laid-back energy. Makes you feel like you are on vacation even if you are just taking a break from your errands. It’s the perfect spot to unwind: The sunlight, ocean breeze, and the view! This is exactly the kind of spot that makes people fall for Huntington Beach. Walkable to Main Street and the pier with that relaxed coastal lifestyle everyone’s chasing. I’m a local realtor and always keep an eye out for spots like this to recommend to clients exploring the area. Huntington Beach has so many hidden gems like this one!

Trendy... cool vibe.... several different "rooms" like you're hanging out in a Mansion and not a Bar....the place to "see and be seen" if you care about that kind of thing... which I don't.... so it's fun to come and People Watch those that do. 😊

This is not a place to go for food. The seafood in particular is not recommended. Drinks are decent and the service is great. Friendly staff, beautiful interior lovely patio.

Only had drinks here but this is my favorite spot in Huntington. Across the street from the ocean so it has stunning views, a few firepits with plenty of seating, and friendly staff. DJ plays great music. Must go spot for an upscale yet chill atmosphere that still has music. It's the perfect balance.

Good spot and location as well as vibe but management needs big time improvement and no staff to help guests.

Waited in line to get to the front then the security guard claimed we were cutting and that we had to get back to the back of the line, though we weren’t, and as he was speaking to us, not allowing us to explain what happened, others were cutting both in front and behind us. He also made up arbitrary possible scenarios saying that if others thought we cut that they would smash bottles over our heads inside. He seemingly singled us out, the only two black girls, and kicked us out of line, while in real time others were cutting the line right behind him. We have never had such a terrible experience at this establishment, but this one occurrence has put us and all of our friends off of the bungalow forever.

I visit the bungalow probably 5 times a year and am always happy with the great service but most importantly the views. Space is limited so try to get there early. The staff are always nice and friendly but can be a little slow when getting your order. The menus have changed recently and have made it harder for my vegan friends to get what they want. TLDR the views are amazing, the staff is welcoming. And the food and drinks are pretty good and somewhat affordable

Come for conference and networking. Say thought good music some EDM !76 so disappointed. Young place but music is not for young crowds, Not recommended

The bartender outside (brown shaggy hair and facial hair) on 12/14 was so rude when I asked for a drink. It was not available from the online menu. When I asked him for an updated menu he basically threw a paper menu from behind the bar at me. Was not apologetic when he was out of ingredients for all our drinks. Seemed like we were a burden to him.

Super fun vibe. Good music! No food though ! Bouncers and security all around to be trouble free. Love that! Feel safer that way. Good drinks. Gets busy around the bar ! But a fun night out !

We went on a weekday afterwork to blow off steam, so we got to enjoy the a nice view of the beach from day into the night without much crowd. Upon entering, the Bungalow had a rustic home vibe with its old fashioned lounge, study, family room, and salon inside. The outdoor patio offered great views of the beach, perfect to chill with friends and enjoy the sunset. There were many cozy seating areas, and it was confusing if they're reserved or open seating when we first arrived. Nonetheless, we found a spot to hang out. As it is primarily a cocktail bar, don't come to Bungalow hungry since there's not much of food options. They partner with Bear Flag for sharable finger foods/appetizers. There's not much options for non-alcoholic drinks either.

The service was horrendous, one server walking around looking lost. Bartender said the server walks to all tables, she never came by to any of the tables on the outdoor porch area. 4 Bartenders/service people just standing at the outdoor bar. I observed they've ignored the older people waiting for service.

I live next to this place. I go here every other week. I have to say that the music is just aweful. The DJ sucks. Spend some money to improve the music. So so boring.

Service horrible. Drinks tasty but small Branded t shirts have misspelling "Bungalow is for lovers " probably should have an "s" instead of a "v". Not one good reason to come back.

Had my bff in town and wanted to go to a cool place for drinks so I asked my younger coworkers *waves cane* They told me about this place so I looked it up and was like wow! I thought it'd be cool but was sorely disappointed. We got there early enough there wasn't a line at 9:30-10 on a Friday night. Security wanded my bff and bf, but let me and his wife walk in, which I find hilarious because I could've been the pack mule with all the shanks, gats or whatever. Inside was pretty busy. Nobody was dancing but there was a DJ and music was so loud you could barely hear the person next to you. Crowd was a range of young to older. We tried finding a place to talk but it was pretty hard. Drinks were like $18 a pop. I owed my bff 2 drinks from a bet. Bought a round of drinks for 4 of us that came to $70. Bartender was cool though and the drinks were simple enough that they were decent (sex on the beach, skinny vodka cranberry, old fashioned and something else I forgot). When we left to walk over to the bar next door to actually be able to hear each other, there was a fat line out front to fabricate popularity. Not worth the trip.

LOVE this place. The vibe, the amount of space and seating was great. I almost didn't want to write a review because I don't want it to get too crowded!! The view of the ocean is incredible. The only thing I left a star off for was the service. Bartenders weren't super friendly. They didn't look like they enjoyed their work and it showed in how they serviced patrons. I will go back tho. It's very trendy and being an older person I know I stick out but don't care - loved the vibe, views and location. Parking is expensive here!

I used to love coming here but for the past year or so each bouncer I've interacted with at the door has been so rude and on a power trip. I've seen them reject people without giving a reason, calling customers names, and being straight up childish. I understand dealing with drunk and obnoxious people can make you assume the worst of a customer but it's also apart of the job to correctly assess when to let someone in or when you're just trying to fluff up your ego.

The bungalow is a very interesting place. Right when you arrive at the stairs you get carded. You walk in and it looks like a house you can sit wherever you want. There are a lot of couch seating areas and interesting decor. There are two bars one outside and one inside you can just walked up to them and order anything. Servers also come around once in a while to see if you want to order food/drinks. The drinks are really small and not great at all for the price. I ordered at the bar outside and the bartender looked miserable when I asked for help and questions. It was not busy he might have just been having a bad day. I ordered the pink motel and tan lines. Both drinks were not good and had weird after tastes. I came here with a group as a going away celebration. I actually called the day before and asked if they validated (bc no one wants to drink and walk) and they said no. So I parked far and had to walk far. As my group was leaving for the night they were able to get 2 hrs validated with the servers at the front on top of the stairs. Not sure why someone I spoke to on the phone told me no validations... My party brought cupcakes since it was a celebration we were not allowed to take them in and they held them at the front they also do not allow decorations or anything. If you come here I recommend bringing a sweater because it gets really cold and windy at night. They have heaters but they don't help much. Also bring your tickets because they do validate...

Nice lounge place with indoor and outdoor seating. Mainly for drinks. If a loud bar or club is not desired, this place is a good option.

I stopped into the bungalow Huntington Beach on a trip with some friends. We had gotten dinner at the bear flag downstairs and wanted to place to hang out with good drinks and good vibes. The Bungalow definitely did not disappoint in that department. We went on a Thursday night, so it wasn't too crowded, they didn't have a DJ, And the vibe was very chill. There was plenty of open seating and we were allowed to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. We snagged a great table right by the fence where you can have a great view of the ocean. They had a menu of $12 drinks, which with some great options, so that was definitely a plus. My one complaint is that the service was not the best, there were some servers that came to check on our table here and there, but it was very sporadic. I would say they only came to check on us every 20 minutes. We wanted to close our tab, and there was no waitress coming to our table for a while so we went up to the bar and they acted very frustrated that we didn't just ask our server, which we didn't do because they didn't come up to our table for a long time. Overall, I'd recommend coming here for decent drinks and great vibes with ocean views, however this came at a price with the lack of service.

An amazing bar and lounge with great views, great ambiance, excellent service and great food! The food here is outsourced to the famous Bear Flag Fish Co. so it has great flavors. Variety is a little thin but you come here for the music and vibes. The decor is stunning and so is the music. A great place for cocktails and an amazing view of the Huntington Beach sunsets.

Having no expectations, walking into the Bungalow was a surprise! It's like walking into a rich person's cozy house party, lol. It's dimly lit with several different rooms and an outdoor section covered with like a clear tarp, lol. It's way prettier than I described it, lol. One of the first rooms had a pool table. There's other rooms for hanging out. The main room with the bar had a DJ playing music. We went on a Sunday night so it wasn't super packed. There's also a bar outside too. We opted to sit outside in the covered tarp. The drinks were good. The bartenders were fast. I hope to visit again!

The fish taco was delicious. The bartender Jeff was friendly and polite. The outside patio has a sunset view.

Now I'm a bar snob and HB can be a real wasteland. I know I'm not cool enough to go often, but when I do there's one bartender who outshines the many bright stars at Bungalow. I make sure to pop in, see the scene, and grab a drink from Lauren. I'm Always greeted with a big smile and she knows my order!

To be fair, this time I had no FOOD. They're hella busy so the SERVICE was decent. The AMBIANCE was whack. Bad music and overpriced drinks. $100+ for basic shots.

The security has no sense of personal space. My friends and I were having drinks at a table with other people and the security didn't take time to converse to communicate that they were kicking us out for another higher paying customer. They didn't give us any chance to discuss payment to keep our table and completely manhandled my friend out of her seat. It's a cute and cozy looking bar but I don't feel safe having drinks here. Be ready to be kicked out of your seat.

We've been to the Bungalow in LA, but wanted to check out the location in HB. It has similar vibes of different seating areas both inside and outside. We came on Thursday so they were playing country music and people were line dancing. We mainly sat outside and it wasn't too cold, plus there were heat lamps. The patio has a number of booth and couch options, with string lights, and was decorated for fall/halloween. We ordered a tequila sunrise and vodka Red Bull, although they do have a bunch of Bungalow cocktails. The drinks were pretty strong (bang for your buck I guess). It was pretty dark, but I'm assuming during the day, you'd get a nice view of the beach. Overall, a cute spot to socialize and hang out with friends.

I come here for many reasons The view , the service from Lauren was like a breath of fresh air ! She knows how to mix them While I wait for my food order at the bar this place !

This place is so nice during the sunset hours and on the weekends during the nighttime turns into a wild bar. I came here on a Monday evening and enjoyed a delicious drink called Hugo Spritz and delicious fish tacos which are from the restaurant Bearflag Fish Co right below it! The guacamole and chips and the quesadilla are amazing too also from the same restaurant below. Service was a little slow because it was a little busier for a holiday weekend but I enjoyed the sunset and playing some pool with friends.

I have come to The Bungalow in HB for over 5 years and TONIGHT for the first time, I experienced amazing service from wait staff, Rachel. She came up to us, and we were sitting in a corner, and she asked if we wanted a refill of our drinks and water! She is fantastic in all areas - communication, consideration, and delivery. So personable and easy to talk to - she made me and my date feel like we were at-home and so comfortable. It's been a while since I've been here at the Bungalow and I would absolutely come back again thanks to Rachel.

Not a fan! The place is always dirty and the bathroom stinks. It would be great if the drinks were better too!

Great experience, amazing view of Huntington Beach from the patio. Great music selection and bouncers/security were very friendly.

We had a fun night here! My sister and our friends came here after a beach day, it was pretty crowded but there was so much space. We checked out the two bars inside and the pool table (they need more!) and then headed to the outside bar for some spicy margaritas and a good time. As expected, the music was really loud! But that's what makes it fun! Kind of wish we could hear each other a bit better. We loved the beach view and the midsummer weather! We would definitely come back.

The music here was so nice! The line was so long so we waited a bit until going back the bungalow! Staff seemed friendly and nice! Can't say much about the food but the vibes were amazing!

Loved the experience! Went a little while ago for a date night. Went on a Friday night for dinner and drinks before it got too crowded. By the time we left around 9 or 10pm there was a line to get in. Lots of different rooms to explore. Felt cozy and warm with the dim warm lighting. Enjoyed the seating outside at a table where we were served by really nice women! Helpful, fun, and personable. Food was delicious and came out fairly quickly. AL Pastor-Dilla - A spicy quesadilla filled with shredded mozzarella cheese, Al Pastor marinated pork, chopped jalapeno peppers, fresh cilantro and Diablo sauce. Peruvian Ceviche - South American style ceviche with a secret combination of whitefish, spices, fresh citrus, and herbs, served with extra crispy tortilla chips and bear flag sauce. Chips refill: $2.50 Drinks were good too! I enjoyed the Tan Lines more than expected! I'm not a huge Tajin/spicy fan, but that drink was a gateway to me for that! Thanks for opening my tastebuds to Tajin/spicy drinks and tastes. Clean place, accurate order, and got our orders quickly as well. We had our table the whole time without any reservation. Parked in the structure and got our parking validated as well. Would love to come again in the future!

You're basically walking into a house with a dope ass backyard. Love the vibe. Love the decor. Younger crowd, but some of us seasoned vets are peppered in. Drinks are reasonably priced, bartenders are friendly. I haven't been on a Friday or Saturday night, but I've been during the day on Saturdays and Sundays in the summer and it's a whole vibe. You'll probably catch me white girl wasted there at least once or twice in the spring and summer on a day drinking mission with a few random nights peppered in. Till we meet again, Bungalow... ** It should be known that the Bungalow in Santa Monica is worth the drive if you're in OC.

We were dressed as grandmas for a bachelorette and everyone who worked here made sure we were treated as such! Everything about this place was amazing!! Lyndsey the manager was a great host and such a SWEETHEART!! The atmosphere was amazing and so fun! I definitely recommend this place 5/5!

Amazing view, great vibes. Went on the weekend so it was pretty busy. But everyone was so nice, the DJ played some good music.

We came Friday night and it was PACKED. it was my first time here and the line at 11:30p was down the stairs. It only took about 30 min to get in though. No cover, parking doesn't charge after midnight! The DJ wasn't receptive to requests which was a shame because he was out here playing coldplay...when people were trying to dance. he couldn't read the room. Very random crowd, literally all kinds of people were here. very interesting

Pretty cool spot, loud environment with more of a younger crowd, we went earlier around 7:30pm and by 10pm was completely packed. Super nice staff and drinks were very generous. Wished the outdoor had more seating because we were standing most of the time. Have dinner before going because all they offer are appetizers but they were good. Overall cool spot and great for groups.

My boyfriend and I did a quick pit stop at the bungalow just to check it out, did a walk in & just walked right on in as it was free seating. It was a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't overly packed to my surprise! The outdoor patio was however packed and fully reserved. I like how there was sooo many areas to sit and enjoy your drinks. The pool table seemed fun however was occupied at the time we were there. I only hold back from 5 full stars because the drinks are overpriced for the size you get just in my opinion. But the bartenders were kind!

This place gets sooooo crowded, The one in Long Beach is a lot better. The drinks are okay very expensive for how long you wait for them.

Wow! This place was interesting.. depending on your vibe you will hate it or love it! I came on a Friday evening to meet some friends... you walk in and its like you're at home a cute house vibe with various rooms & two bars... on a Friday night the DJ is playing a mix of hits but the place is crowded!!! Drinks were just ok-- margarita was super sweet & limited alcohol. I might try it again earlier on Friday or during the week. Fun place for drinks, and a meet up. Not the place for conversation.

Best Vegan Tacos I've ever had. Service was speedy & friendly. The Ambiance is the reason to visit w/ pano ocean views, lots of ppl watching + very comfy seating.

Discovered this Gem back in 2019, loved it ever since. It's like walking into a rich man's bungalow villa over the ocean. Smells like an a Abercrombie when you walk in but in all a good way. The ambiance is immaculate, good music and good service. They have treated me well with table service for myself and my friends and family. If you want a good time visit the Bungalow, you don't be disappointed!

This place was way cool! If it was open, the other days that we were in town, we would've gone back for sure. It was nice feeling like we were at the ocean, but also being protected by the wind. The drinks were tasty, the tofu tacos and guacamole were super good, and the atmosphere was the place to be. When the sun was getting close to setting, the vibe totally changed, but was still cool. There was a DJ inside, and everybody was dressed in more club attire. The DJ inside was fun and had a house party feel to it.

Bungalow was so cool! It's structured like a house and has multiple different rooms. Very very cool vibe. Looking at the other pictures on here, it's so bright compared to when I went. I went after the sun was down and the inside was very dark. This is a good spot for a group of single girls wanting to meet a new group of people. A lot of very trendy people here.

The drinks were ok. Busy and crowded and mostly for the younger crowd. The place is nice. It gave me teenager throwing a party while the parents are away vibe

I went before sunset for some drinks and food. Their drinks are good but quite pricey. I also wish they offered more food options. Their food is tasty as they get everything from Bear Flag Fish Co. downstairs. The Poke Nachos were really fresh! Good for 1 if you're hungry. Good for 2 if you wanna share. The view is beautiful and I prefer the outdoor patio much more than inside. They validate parking if you park in the Pacific City garage below.

Such a fun place, especially when Bella is working. Bella is a great bartender . Her customer service is top notch. She makes the best drinks, even customizes them to your preference. Bella is very pleasant to be around and always has a smile on her face

Went in to check out this place and absolutely love the vibe and people! employees are super friendly. The only thing that strucked me and my friends were how one of the manager compliments us in a races kind of way. That really made us uncomfortable and we left just to get out of there. I had to find out who he was and what's his name. Don't know how to spell his name right. it's Elice he looks like to us like he's middle Eastern but not sure. Other than that. Everyone was friendly and professional except for this manager and his rude manners. We will go back to the bungalow but hopefully not to see or run in to him.

We came last night, & man get a DJ that can read the room. All he played was house music and maybe like 3 songs you could sing and dance to. Everyone was so hyped when he played good music but yet he still continued to play awful house music so like no one was dancing. would love to come back but i hope that dj isnt working.

My favorite bar in OC. The decor the smell the vibe. But most importantly where my favorite bartender works on weekends. Lauren runs the front room by herself. Always quick service always good drinks and always in a great mood. Not to mention extremely easy on the eyes :)

Servers bartenders are kinda rude but the security cool. Jerry and Jeff are all good and amazing they make sure you're safe and good I love that! I know I'm ok because of them!!! Thank you!!!
