Yelp
By far my favorite tea shop in HTX. If you know me, I'm a tea snob, so this is a lot!
The shop is very cute. The ambiance is nice, the lighting is perfect (warm, low, not fluorescent). I adore the atmosphere here. CNY decor is up, lots of rabbits, of course--very fitting for a place called The Bunny!
The music is kind of loud, but pleasant. Yoy dont have to talk over it or anyone. The music selection makes you feel like youre in a drama haha
There is a nice ad rotation for their drinks on the televisions. It's awesome, and helps you pick out what you want very quickly. Their ordering system is great.
There are posters for local Chinese youth groups and other community organizations. I like that this place is obviously invested in the community around them. The nice atmosphere, clean areas, and kind workers really foster a great place for people to gather. Both times I've been here, the folks behind the counter are great.
There is a wide range of flavors, fruit and floral. Lots of rose which is nice to see, as it is not so common, and is my favorite flavor. I of course got a lychee tea with rose jelly--the lychee tea had fresh lemons that kind of overpowered the delicate lychee flavor, but was good nonetheless. It was a bit bitter, but I like my teas with a bit of a bite. I will opt out from the citrus next time. The rose jelly is one of my favorite things I have ever had in my life. I could just order that and be happy. My fiance ordered milk tea with egg pudding. The milk tea was good. It is very nutty and creamy tea. The egg pudding was sweet and complimented it very nicely.
Now, on to the star of the show (besides the rose jelly, of course). The Ube Brûlée slush is the best usage of ube flavor I have ever had (outside of halo halo, lol). It's creamy, not too sweet, and has a wonderful texture. I came back here just to get this.
Wonderful drinks, wonderful service, and wonderful atmosphere. If you visit anywhere in Houston, make sure The Bunny is on your list.
