The Burger Bistro ATL

This review is from May 2023. I had the turkey burger & wings. I didn’t enjoy either. The turkey burger had a sweet/Smokey taste that was a no for me. I couldn’t finish the wings, I felt they were undercooked. The customer service was great and the wait time was reasonable.

Excited to have a burger bistro close by. Was even more excited to see other menu options like fish, chicken, and milkshakes. The order taker was very friendly and there was a little vibe like the artwork on the walls. We got the bacon cheddar burger. It cooked perfectly and juicy. Nice size for price. Only issue was the wait, a bit longer than expected.

Nice a little restaurant for the locals with quality food worthy of five stars! The milkshakes are Fabulous! I had the cheeseburger and fries with the secret sauce is pretty darn good! There is some dine in seating, but I got my order to go. The prices are a little bit higher than fast food , but the quality is worth it.

This is the joint! Also, its owner is none other than Skyzoo, who is one of the best hip hop rappers I've ever heard! The food is amazing, and does not disappoint.... I got the Bacon Cheddar Burger with Crinkle Cut Fries, and it was soooooo good!! I definitely will be back when I pass through!

We finally got the chance to visit last night, and I'm super happy we did. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted with a warm and friendly environment with a low key atmosphere. The gentleman behind the counter was amazing in helping us navigate the menu as well as providing expert recommendations. Before even arriving I had previewed the menu and was already set on ordering a chopped cheese (our first ever experience with the NYC delicacy). The gentleman taking our order reenforced these selections, as well as suggesting i give their 'honey basted' wings a shot. The wings were BEYOND my expectations, as well as the chopped cheese, and we WILL ABSOLUTELY be coming back again soon. The chocolate shake is very noteworthy as well!

The food is great here and the service is amazing! If you love wings, get the honey basted ones with sweet potato fries!

I didn't know they were opened but now that I do, this is the only place to go get burgers in Douglasville. The vibe and the food is on point.

Had our #FantasticFriday at The Burger Bistro ATL! My kids lovedddd it! We met the owner, such a nice guy. Service was fantastic. I'm not a burger person, at all, but my perspective has definitely been changed! Prices were great. Very clean, good vibes! Definitely will visit again. Highly recommend! This is a must try and hidden gem in Douglasville. I believe they opened November 2022. We were in the mood for burgers and Google & Yelp didn't fail us. We were pleasantly surprised that beef, turkey, salmon, steak, and veggie were the protein selections. Yep, we hit the jackpot. We ordered a cheeseburger with everything, a turkey burger (no cheese) on a different bread (because I do not care for brioche buns), and the owner gave us a 5-piece wing to try. We also got the signature punch and an Arnold Palmer. The cheeseburger was good but my husband commented that it lacked seasoning once he got to the center. The turkey burger is dark meat which is supposed to be juicier than white meat. TBH I couldn't tell the difference. It was good but I could tell it was a frozen patty. I prefer hand-patted ground turkey but won't take away a star because it was still tasty. Each burger came with a boatload of sweet potato fries. Now let's get to the star: those honey-basted wings!! This is where the stars come in. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. We often air fry or bake our own crispy wings but this weekend we've already said we will sit this one out and order a platter from the Burger Bistro. LOL! Their wings are flavorful, tender and crispy without being hard. Next time, I also want to try their salmon strips. They also have milkshakes and something called chopped cheese that I'm not familiar with but I'm told it's a NYC thing. I'm sure it's just as delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. The vibe is cool and artsy. Although there is an inside seating, we sat in the truck and ate because I have to be careful as a chemo patient. My daughter and husband met the owner and he was super helpful with helping them with our menu selections. We assumed it was Skyzoo, a songwriter and rapper that we read about when researching the restaurant. I want to personally thank Skyzoo for choosing Douglasville as the location for his new restaurant. It's nice to have so much in the area now. I wish property management would put the restaurant name on the marquee. We didn't see it on the Chapel Hill entrance. Perhaps we missed it. Our family will definitely spread the word.

This was my first time trying the Burger Bistro ATL. I love supporting a black business. My little brother has had the chopped cheese before and he requested me go try them out while he was in practice and to make sure I got his sandwich lol. Firstly, as soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly. Second, they have indoor seating, a bar, and TV for when football and basketball season comes back around. All that to say the ambiance is doing what it's suppose to for a burger joint. The menu is extensive so it was a very hard choice. I ended up trying the lemon pepper salmon strips and fries. 10/10 would recommend! I also bit into the chopped cheese and OMG so cheesy and flavorful. Everything was hot and fresh. THIS IS NOT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT! So practice patience because it's worth it. I think I'll try the wings the next time. I'll be back since it's 15 min from my house.

We tried the restaurant today. We walked in and a young lady was sitting behind the counter at the cash register and a man was standing behind the counter on the phone. No one said anything to us. We walked to a table and my mother-in-law said hello. Then, we were greeted by the man behind the counter. After we were seated and looking around, we were told that we could come to the counter and get a menu and come back to the counter to place the order. My daughter asked about their signature punch. The man came to the table with a sample for all of us to try. That was very nice. It was ok. We went to the counter to order. When the order was ready, the young lady behind the counter called us to get the food from the counter. The burgers were ok. We got the bacon cheese burgers with fries on two, and tater tots on the other one sand a side of sweet potato fries. The fries and tots were delicious! The burgers were cooked more than we like. They were cooked well done but, we prefer medium rare. We were not asked how we wanted them cooked and we didn't say either. The meat is large. Very disappointed that it came with turkey bacon. Also disappointed in the topping choices. We tried it. It was ok.

We tried to come on opening day, but they had a high volume of customers and couldn't take anymore orders (which I congratulated them on). Fast forward to yesterday, we get there around 7:40 ish. The cashiers had contradicting wait times, one said 30-35 minutes, and the other said 1 hour. Regardless, we were willing to wait. My husband placed and order for 2 chopped cheese combos (one with chili cheese fries, one with tots), an additional chili cheese fry, and honey wings. We were ticket number 47, and they were on ticket number 40. We wait directly in front of the building, counting the customers as the orders come up. We had a pretty big order, so a couple of people that ordered after us received their food before us. My husband goes back in when he thinks it's around time for order up! We both see a man walk in with buns..so I'm guessing they had run out. The cashiers then offered ranch packets (room temp) instead of ranch cups for the wings? Anyway, the cook comes out asking if my husband had received part of the order..to which my husband says he hadn't received anything. The cook then goes to the kitchen and comes back..reading the order and stacking the boxes simultaneously..which is when we made the worst assumption ever (that our order was actually correct after such a long wait). My husband walks out with the bag of food at 8:44..and we're headed home to eat. WE WERE SO EXCITED..until we opened the boxes and realized an entire burger was missing. They didn't answer the phone, so we were pretty much stuck with the incomplete order. As far as the food, it was ok. The chopped cheese burger could've been "wetter", it was pretty dry even with the condiments. The large chili cheese fries had one piece of cheese in the middle and a little chili (loaded with beans, fyi). The side of chili cheese fries had the same amount of toppings as the large, so they were more enjoyable. The sauce on the honey wings was bangin, but idk if they were rushing or what because the wings were somewhat alive . We threw them in the air fryer to cook them a bit more. The tater tots were good! My husband wrote them on Facebook, they apologized and said they'll make it right next time. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be a next time.

Tried a couple burgers, fries, tots and a shake. The burger was okay but lacked seasoning and the burger was a little overcooked/dry. You do get a good amount of beef on it. The tots and shake were pretty good. The fries were not seasoned and had no crisp. The total was over $35.

My new favorite place to eat! Friendly, courteous and accommodating staff make for a pleasant evening out. The food was delicious just as expected , served in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. Glad I don't have to go all the way to NY to get a chopped cheese A++++++ I also enjoyed watching the football game. I highly recommend The Burger Bistro ATL!

I just had a Chopped Cheese meal and it was amazing! Somebody's grandma seasoned the crap outta this meat. It was REALLY good. I ate everything. For real. It's good. I'm not saying this because I'm a SkyZoo fan. These cats prepare some GOOD food. I seem to live a charmed life. I've had food prepared for me by Wolfgang Puck, Gordon Ramsay, Coolio, and now SkyZoo.

My husband dragged me here because he's a Skyzoo fan. He says "if you consider yourself a fan of music and you aren't familiar with Skyzoo's work you have some homework to do". It wasn't tough to drag me though as I love to eat! Everybody who works here is nice and helpful, and the food is really tasty and well priced. We split a chopped burger, wings, and had their signature punch. This was my first chopped burger, and it is delicious. We enjoyed the lemon pepper wings too, and the loaded fries are delicious and large. Great portion, great prices, great food. Skyzoo is the owner btw, and he provides great customer service and it trickles down to the employees. Great local restaurant, and where we will go when we need our burger fix. Excited for our next stop here!

This was my first time at this restaurant. The burger was decent nothing special. The tator tots were soggy and the chili was awful. I'd probably still return and just try something different since this is not far from my home. They definitely need a new chili recipe. Also the special punch wasn't sweet and it needs more flavor. It was watered down.

Ordered three different items. The milkshake was excellent my baby's kids meal burger was good and my husband enjoyed the chopped cheese. I had the salmon bites. I should've passed on them because they were dry and more like stripes. I also ordered it with tots but got fries. It was ok but the prices are too high for what you get. Essentially a container full of fries and a burger in the side. ‍

Ordered and received food on 1st day. Chopped cheese and Steak Supreme was delicious. Fries were nicely cooked and crispy. They offer beef, turkey, and beyond meat options. Portions were generous and easy to share. My family looks forward to going again soon.

Stop fooling yourself and stop by the Burger Bistro ATL if you want a bomb burger and fries (haven't tried the wings yet). They just opened a few months ago. Burgers are super well priced as well, and come with really large Pattie's. I tried the Chopped Burger, never had anything like it before. It's like a Philly cheesesteak had a baby with a burger. I guess it's a NY thing. I thought it was really tasty and unique having not tried one myself. The fries have a variety of fun flavors, but I landed on the ranch cheddar fries, which happened to be delicious. I wish I took a picture, but the thought only occurred to me once I was halfway done with my food! It's located in a Publix shopping center, so you can also get your groceries done as well. I would stop here first, as it's always best to shop when you aren't hungry. You'll actually save money at the grocery store if you just stop here first lol. I'm excited to come back and try other things.

I wanted a really good burger and was skeptical of the $15 price but they definitely did not disappoint...I received a burger that was thick,juicy and cooked excellently. My order was ready when I arrived and the staff were all great... I WILL be returning because I just found my new favorite burger joint

Great food. Didn't take long to get my meals. If you ever stop by get the Honey Based Wings. The burgers are insane. Also get that Chopped Cheese and thank me later.

Went to this place and was EXTREMELY disappointed. Their website pictures show fresh cut french fries meanwhile we got soggy frozen fries. We asked for a medium well burger but was served a burnt patty with cheese that never melted! When we complained we were told thats how we make them. Look st the picture they advertised vs what we got!

Great little place. Stopped by after visiting the nearby state park. Nice clean place, good food and great service.

Oh my goodness, the absolute best burger I have ever had! The owners were very friendly, and the place was very clean, especially the bathrooms. We will definitely be going back and I can see it becoming one of our favorite places to go.

All of the food is amazing but the wings are some of the best in Georgia. Staff is incredible. Definitely going back...and taking friends!!!

Best burger in Douglasville! I used to be a five guys burger fan . Well I found a new spot . The customer service is great they go out of their way to please you. Thank you Burger Bistro for making all my visits a pleasant one.

Burger was hard and over cooked. They did not ask how I wanted it cooked. It did not include any condiments like lettuce or tomato I only got meat, bread, and turkey bacon. Who wants turkey bacon on a burger versus the delicious taste of pork bacon? This should be an option. The cheese was almost invisible. The staff was pleasant, but they definitely need to work on their cooking.

This business doesn't close till 9 PM and they stop taking orders at 5:30 This is bad business. They don't have to worry about me or no but I know coming back.
