The Minds Behind Montrose’s Favorite Burger Joint Have a New Taco Spot in the Works - Eater Houston

"In February, they opened the second location of their wildly popular hamburger spot, The Burger Joint, at 2002 North Shepherd Drive, just a skip away from The Taco Stand’s address. The original Burger Joint, which opened in 2015 on Montrose Boulevard, is an essential Houston burger spot, with options like kimchi burgers, lamb burgers, and boozy milkshakes." - Brittanie Shey

The Burger Joint Opens Its Second Houston Location in the Heights Next Week - Eater Houston

"Next week, beloved Montrose spot The Burger Joint will open its newest location in the Heights. A rep for the chain tells Eater that the newest outpost of The Burger Joint will make its debut at 2002 North Shepherd Drive on February 21. In the works since 2016, the growing chain’s second location boasts a much bigger space than the Montrose original, complete with a full bar and expanded outdoor patio. As far as the food is concerned, expect the same juicy burgers and chili-queso fries that made the Burger Joint a staple in Montrose, along with some new offerings like the Cowboy Bacon Burger that’s made with dry-aged beef from Black Hill Ranch. At the new full bar, expect frozen cocktails and, of course, boozy milkshakes. The Burger Joint hits the Heights at 11 a.m. next Friday." - Amy McCarthy

Decided to give it a try today, I usually go to the Monrose location, but we were really close to the Heights location. It did not disappoint! The food was flavorful. The onion rings were crispy and made to order. We ordered through the app since you do get a five dollar discount on your first purchase on the app only! The staff was really helpful. We tried the Mexican burger and the original nevertheless great burgers! We will be back to this location soon.

Apr 2025 - we've been wanting to try this place for some time. Today, presented us with the perfect opportunity. I love a good burger! This was a good burger... fresh bun, fresh cut tomatoes and crispy lettuce with an Angus patty... great burger guys! The service was fast, and the atmosphere felt sports bar outdoor feel. Lots of TVs.

I'm here right now at 6:25. Hot as heck in here. Outside is miserable and smells like wet dog. Seen a dog sitting on a bench. I'm all for animals being there, but not sitting where you eat. Then, there was a dog constantly barking. I'm sure not every dog was a service animal. I decided to come inside. Didn't have to wait long. Maybe 3 mins. The atmosphere is good. Fans keep blowing my napkins everywhere. Gotta weigh everything down. It's annoying having to battle flies for my food. 🪰 TASTE TEST: Margarita was basic. Not a lot of alcohol. Sweet tea was old. The onion rings were superior. 10/10 The chili cheese hot dog was good. I like how they toasted the bun, and it didn't taste boiled. Would have been better with shredded cheese. 8/10 Got the fire burger. It was a bit sloppy, but just the right amount of heat. 8/10 Overall, if you don't mind the heat or the dog smell, it's a great spot. I will be coming back.

Google
This place is a must visit if you are in the Houston heights and are craving a burger! Their food is so so soooo good! They have lots of burgers with amazing unique toppings. Meat quality is so great. The service is amazing and fast. Most of their seating is going to be outdoor but they are covered by umbrellas. They have doggie water bowls if you’d like to bring ur animal they are welcome!

Google
Burger Joint in The Heights is a late-night savior for Sunday night cravings! Open until midnight, this spot is perfect for those post-weekend munchies when you need something hearty and delicious. The retro diner vibe, mixed with a modern edge, creates a cozy yet lively atmosphere that’s ideal for a late-night bite. The burgers are out-of-this-world—juicy, flame-broiled patties piled high with fresh toppings. I had the classic cheeseburger with their phenomenal garlic aioli, which adds a creamy, garlicky punch that elevates every bite. The fries were crispy, golden perfection, and the OMG fries with short ribs are a must-try. The staff were super friendly, offering quick service and great recommendations even late on a Sunday. Whether you’re a Heights local or just passing through, Burger Joint is a top-tier choice for late-night eats.

Google
This was a beautiful day to go, sunny all day. We ordered mushroom burger, onion rings, fries, American burger and taco burger, we all loved them. Will definitely come back. We loved all the service dogs we saw. The at Sphere is chill, relax and can’t wait to try one of those mixed drinks.

Order at a counter upon arrival. Food is served at your table but is not full service to your table. Food was served fresh, hot, and quick. Delicious sandwiches.

Google
I need to clarify my rating. I would give it a three because my veggie burger was not truly vegan. However, I also didn't order it correctly. On the other hand, my flexitarian friend ordered a classic burger and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my meal was quite disappointing due to the mayonnaise and buttered buns. It's on me; I should have read the menu more carefully. I've been driving past this place for years, and I finally decided to give it a try. The fries were good, though!

Yelp
Hands down best burger I've had in Houston. First of all price is up there a little, kimchi burger is $11. A very cool spot, a lot of outdoor seating with a bunch of tvs to watch any game that's on if that's your thing. Staff is friendly and attentive. Every time we have a manager come through and ask how everything is. Now the food, I've had many items on the menu but the kimchi burger is by far my favorite. To start you know is it's a good place when they ask how you want your burger cooked. Med rare is perfect, the kimchi blends well with the fried egg and cheddar cheese. Egg is always nice and gooey as well. A side of sweet potato fries hits hard. If you're in the heights visit and you won't leave dissatisfied.

Yelp
Good outdoor patio that fosters a great socializing environment regardless of the weather. The burger was good value, but watch the sides as the dollars add up (80 cents for extra pickles). They have a full bar and a great craft beer selection. I got a nice IPA for $6.

Yelp
First and last time here. Came here with family and I'm not much of a burger person but the nice guy (forgot his name his initials are A.T.) he suggest the fiesta bowl with grilled chicken, just a basic salad nothing special could've ordered this same salad at Chick-fil-a except I would've had better flavored chicken at Chick-fil-a. My son did enjoy his burger the classic with American cheese and bacon. He asked for well done yet it was pink. My daughter ordered the cookies and cream shake...which came out about 15-20 minutes after we ordered our food. I got some lame excuse that the machine was not working Which is funny because I saw about three orders of shakes, be delivered to the table behind us and another three orders of shakes being taken out with a to go order!

Yelp
I went back 2 more times, I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich, it was amazing. The fish was flaky and kept falling apart. Which telks me that it's fresh. The third time I was there. I had the chicken sandwich. It was good but I also had the bacon parmesan fries. Those were amazing you have to try those for sure

Yelp
Last night I went to the burger joint with my friends who just moved here to Houston, we walked from their new apartment to the restaurant and it was a short walk. I loved the food. It was quick to come out and excellent service. It is outdoor seating so if it's summer be prepared but they do have lots of fans going so it's honestly not bad! I got the chili cheese burger and bacon garlic fries, I was in heaven.
google avatar

Yelp
Halal patties!! I'm so glad we found a nice spot with really good food! My husband loved it, and you can also choose the level you want your patties cooked at! The service was also great the workers are very nice! Loved the outdoor seating w TVs also!

Yelp
#1 Medium well, Classic with all the toppings and add cheddar cheese. Do not sot by the flowerbeds as you will be exposed to nature () please don't kill them-- they won't ating you if you don't do anything.... That being said, go with a group of the guys (or girls in my case) catch the current basketball game... I won the bet on Saturday's game night & even got a sweet basket of sweet potatoes fries, regular fries and of course... an Oreo shake to go with my classic burger This spot, hit's the SPOT!! Literally. LOL

Yelp
Still a bit warm outside for this icehouse-style joint seating, but loved the setup- it will surely be the lick in the fall!!! Burgers were great, our party had the BBQ Burger, Chili Cheese Burger, and the Kimchi Burger. All were great and cooked beautifully, we're just a sauce kinda group, so just needed a bit more bbq sauce and a bit more 'Korean bbq' sauce on the Kimchi burger... but that's just us (smile). The fries were hot, and just the right amount of crispiness on the outside. I don't know what's in that extra bbq sauce they provided at no charge, but soooo good! I put it on the Kimchi burger, lol. We all had the non-alcoholic shakes. The cups were a bit smaller than we hoped for the price, but by the time you get through eating that nice size burger, you're full anyway. And they even offer a double patty for those wanting even more! Finally, can't say enough about the service. We came on a Saturday afternoon (today) during the Astrid and Texans games, and received plenty of attention. We had 3 or more servers attending to our every need, REPEATEDLY checking on us, asking if we needed anything, and keeping finished food trays and packaging out of our hair! And so friendly! We'll definitely be BACK!!!

Yelp
The food was perfect. The weather was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect. The service was perfect. It is rare to get all those at the same time while sitting on a patio in Houston but that is what happened this evening. Well done Burger Joint.

Yelp
Very disappointing. My daughter had hyped it up so my expectations were high and they definitely weren't met. The menu is extensive and very creative with a lot of choices that pile on all kinds of extra things on your burger. My issue is, focus on getting the burger right before you go crazy adding 7 things on top of every one. First sin was doneness. Ordered medium on both burgers and both were gray throughout. Also lacking in salt and pepper. The Mexi burger was pretty good. Had a generous portion of guac and jalapeno. Just can't get past the patty. The hand cut fries were executed pretty well but.... again - no salt. Like no salt whatsoever. I realize I can put my own on but shouldn't come out of the kitchen that bland. Super disappointed. Was really looking forward to it and it let me down.
google avatar

Yelp
Still a great burger late into the night! It's it too terrible at night with the fans going. Great service and great burgers!! Hand cut fries complete the burger. I skipped the shake this time, but I wouldn't recommend! Lots of seats. Picnic style and tall back tables.
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of parking, ordering was easy, and lots of seating as well. I think it's a little pricey, but overall it's a good spot for when you're craving a burger and fries. The spicy ketchup is awesome too. It was pretty busy when we went and we only waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. Friendly service. Lots of tvs for sports. Will be back!

Yelp
Went to the Burger Joint today. My daughter loves this place. It's a really cute place and Adam, the bartender is really nice and funny. But I ordered the classic with cheese and a fried egg. I wanted the meat cooked well. My husband got the chili cheese burger and added jalapeños. He ordered his medium. My burger was cooked medium. Very red in the center just like my husbands. The flavor was good but the bun was floury - like it wasn't cooked all the way. My husband's burger came out medium, but there were only a couple of jalapeños on it. It wasn't until he got to the middle of the burger that he found the jalapeños. Also it was basically a deconstructed chili cheese burger. The chili came out separately and so did the cheese. But the cheese was queso. He was not happy with it at all. One other thing is you're already paying a good price for your burger but you paid extra for cheese or anything else that you might want. There is no cheeseburger or bacon burger on the menu. The fries were good. We did notice that there was a tray of cooked patties in the kitchen so they don't seem to be cooking them when you order - hence mine not being well done We'll be going down the street next time to Piper's

Yelp
Just had their Fish & Chips and as delicious and bountiful as it was (I inhaled it, sorry no pictures) the customer service was even better! I ordered online and when I arrived it was very busy which is nice to see for restaurants these days. My order was late, but I didn't mind a bit as they were overly accommodating with ongoing check-ins giving me updates on the order and they quickly provided me a complimentary large drink with apologies. As I watched all of the workers moving quickly, whether assisting customers or moving orders from the kitchen to the front, I was honestly in awe as they were doing their absolute best to provide exceptional customer service along with outstanding food! Well done, I'm an even bigger fan than before!

Yelp
Trying another new spot. Today I opted for a Mahi Mahi Avocado Sandwich. The sandwich cane with an aioli, but it was good to me as it was. Service was cool. Took a bit for the food to come up. But, I like fresh, so I'll wait. The ambiance is casual. On a hot day like today, the patio came in handy. Several customers were on the patio, which ha several ceiling fans going. No one seemed to mind the heat. My sandwich was a nice size. It warranted two hands... Did I mention nice chunks of avocados meshed well with the grill Mahi Mahi. There's a nice size menu, so I'll return to try some other non-beef items. I also ordered fries, they had the skin on, and were rather thin. They were okay. Also, the entrance and exits are one way. If you decide to exit to the right behind the Burger Joint, expect gravel and some potholes before you reach the street. Next time I'll go left.‍

Yelp
I'm surprised I'd never been to a Burger Joint location, but I'm glad to see it lived up to its rating. You walk up and order at the counter. There is a good variety of options. I ordered the Mexi and was pleased to find out that when I asked for a few of the items on the side. They were happy to oblige. There is plenty of seating, mostly outside, and plenty of tvs to catch a game The food was brought to our table, and every member of the staff we encountered made sure we were doing ok. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
Always on point... And great service when I go in person. Like most places, be aware of the difference in price when ordering online.
google avatar

Yelp
5/5! I've been here a handful of times and when I'm down in The Heights, I'll stop here. They offer a ton of unique combinations of burgers ranging from kimchi to breakfast to spicy. Sweet potato fries are a hit with us and pro tip: add garlic or bacon aioli on the side. The shakes are thick and creamy and full of flavor. You'll never have a bad experience here.
google avatar

Isobel B.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere but thought the food was alright. The Classic Burger I got wasn't the most flavorful and the fries were a little soggy. I've heard a lot of good things about this place so now I think it's overhyped. Seems like a good place to catch a sports game with friends though!

Sydney G.

Yelp
Great burgers!! After a long weekend we wanted a good greasy filling burger - they get it everytime!! Also the manager was awesome. He immediately fixed a messed up order and hand delivered it to me. Picture: Classic burger w/cheese
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Ok, let's cut to the chase. The burger joint just does a really great job with burgers. You're gonna get a thick juicy meaty hamburger. And there are tons of really great flavor options to suite your personal taste. Yeah, and if you want, they got chicken and fish and even some salads and cool desserts. Got a cool roadside outdoor vibe super casual. Bring Fido because they're going to take care of him too. There are lots of TVs if you were a sports aficionado, or just trying to keep up with the Astros. Now, so the only thing left to do is go get you some. What you waiting on.
google avatar

Abbie P.

Yelp
I loved the icehouse-style setup at this joint, and I know it'll be a hit in the fall. The burgers were great - we had the BBQ, Chili Cheese, and Kimchi varieties. They were all well-cooked, but we could use more sauce on the BBQ and Kimchi burgers. The fries were hot and crispy, and that extra BBQ sauce they gave us for free was amazing. The shakes were good, but the cups were smaller than expected. Still, the burgers are so filling you won't notice. They even offer a double patty option for those who want more. The service was outstanding. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon during the games, and we were constantly attended to. Friendly servers checked on us frequently and kept our area tidy. They made our experience enjoyable.
google avatar

Beth V.

Yelp
They have a huge patio with tvs and umbrella. They are also Bring Fido approved. The burgers were good. We had to grab take out because of a prior appointment. My fiancé enjoyed his pecan porter. They also have gluten free buns!
google avatar

Juvie C.

Yelp
Burgers, fries, and milkshake we purchased were delicious. Lots of parking --although it gets packed. Multiple TVs to watch the game and love the outdoor seating with fans. Seemed to be pet friendly. Would love a little play area for kids. PRO PARENT TIP: They have a kids menu. Portions are generous. However, only fountain drinks are offered. I don't think I saw a milk or juice option.
google avatar

Yelp
My son wanted a burger so I had to find a place that was good and one that had veggie burgers on the menu as well. The Montrose location was closest to us but the parking was horrible so we headed 15 minutes to the Shepherd location and parking was much better even with the construction going on. They share lots with The Taco Stand, same owners. Its a huge open patio type of dive with lots of tvs which is typical for the Washington area. There is a small bar inside but all the other seating is outdoors. The food was awesome. They had a vegan burger and I could tell it was fresh cause I could still see the beans in the patty. Most veggie burgers are just mashed ingredients. They also have vegan cheese. My son got the regular cheeseburger, fries and a vanilla shake and he had no complaints except it was too much mayo. The cashier was nice but the manager that walked around to check on everyone seemed like he was too afraid to talk to us. It was a nice day out so we enjoyed it.

Carol C.

Yelp
Ice cream shakes cost $8 but they're made with inexpensive soft-serve ice cream, are you kidding me? Onion-rings are frozen? If not, they look and taste like frozen. Burger was just OK from me.
google avatar

Kaylee G.

Yelp
The messier the better! We went when it was busy and the wait wasn't bad at all, maybe 15 minutes Burgers where cooked great and the flavor combinations where amazing. 10/10 The fries where 8/10

Yelp
Imagine one's disappointment after being given the option to select "extra crispy" on one's online order for fries to be greeted with a HUGE bag of COLD, slimy, and LIMP fries. This was just one of the many issues I had with this place (first time orderer) tonight. Only amplified by the fact that I spent an inordinate amount of time researching htx burger joints for my first burger experience here before settling on allegedly THE burger joint. The namesake of this place was overall a BIG letdown. I got the "classic". Massive cold bun, cold patty, wilted lettuce, huge wet slices of tomato abutting the bun unadulterated, creating a moist mess. It was sad. The shake- the Key Lime , special for the month- was also disappointing. The flavor was tart and correct but it -rather than being cold like the rest of my food- was runny and lukewarm. Not a great vibe for a milkshake. The claim could be made that I came late to pick up my order, but alas I was 5 minutes early. To add insult to injury, I was several blocks away , sipping on my tepid shake trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, when I received a call saying I was given the wrong order and had to come back. This was not fun as the area is pretty bumping Saturday night ~9p. Honestly, all the above could have been forgiven as a one-off were it not for this last bit which gave me the false hope that my order was prepared with care, concern and attention to quality. My sister is zabiha, and they say this place is halal, but no I will not be bringing her here. Seems like there are several other options out there and sad I didn't choose one of those tonight.
google avatar

Katelyn C.

Yelp
This place is such a cool vibe! When the weather is nice, it's a top choice. Burgers are good. The milkshakes are fire! The rice krispy one is my favorite.
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
There was a large group of us on a pretty day. Tons of outdoor seating with large screens for watching games. Their salad bowls are as good as their burgers! I will come back for their cheeseburger salad in a bowl any day . So good! Service was also prompt and accommodating. My dressing came mixed in, and when I told them I wanted it on the side, they immediately fixed it with a smile.
google avatar

Nancy K.

Yelp
We gave them another try and I am so glad I did!! This time my Bacon Bacon was soooooo yummy!! Just like I remembered. Fries are still amazing and that spicy ketchup (for being the color of BBQ sauce its so good) is so good. I like the sort of server/counter service hybrid vibes here and being able to eat on the covered patio. It was cold (for Houston) so they had stand heaters out which was nice. I want to make it a weekend lunch spot now in our rotation. They have not cut portion size or skimped on quality like other places are having to, so you also get a happy wallet and a happy mouth!
google avatar

Benjamin K.

Yelp
Was out with the wifey at lunchtime and made a stop here. I will keep this short and sweet BEST BURGER EVER!!!! That's it, now you can go on with your normal lives, or head out here for a burger. I don't care, I already had mine. For real, I'm done with this review, I've already left the burger joint and I'm heading home. Why are you still reading this? Go find something else to read!
google avatar

Moriah H.

Yelp
Parking is easy and there are always a lot of tables. My husband likes their food but the burgers are way too greasy for my stomach. I get their salads when I go. The salad is fine but it's nothing to write home about. Service is mid - no one is ever rude to us but I also am not welcomed with a smile. The music is always pretty loud and there are many many TVs which is great if you are coming to watch a game but could overwhelming if you are neurodivergent. I haven't found a place to sit that is quite personally. There is a loyalty card. They have yummy milkshakes that I'm sure are outrageously unhealthy. They have sports specials - like home run milk shake promos based on the sporting season.
google avatar

Yelp
A houston staple that is now serving halal burgers! Hubby and I have always loved their shakes- probably our favorite in houston, so when we heard they were going to start serving halal burgers, we had to check it out. Classic burger: I decided on this and it was really good! Nothing too fancy, just a simple delicious burger with all the right fix ins. Bun was also soft and fluffy. I only wish they added more sauce on the burger as some bites were a bit dry, but nothing a side of ketchup couldn't fix. Jalapeño burger: hubby decided on this and he really enjoyed it! Good amount of spice without being overpowering and the toppings were fresh. Oddly enough, his burger could have been cooked a bit more, while mine could have been cooked a little less lol. Fries: handcut and crispy 10/10 delish Milkshake: burger joint milkshakes are our late night guilty pleasures. They're too good. We have tried the cookies and cream, strawberry and salted caramel and while all are top tier, the salted caramel is the best!

Yelp
Our second time here and our second time giving a 5 star review! These burgers are phenomenal. Well-seasoned, quality beef, cooked to order... can't go wrong. First visit we had the classic with cheese. This time I tried the Fire Burger and it was ridiculously good. Chipotle Aioli, fresh jalapeños and sirano peppers, pepper-jack cheese... This burger was.. well.. on fire! By the way, the fries are excellent as well. Friendly staff. The gentleman who bussed our table as necessary was a compliment to the staff. he was congenial, good spirited, helpful, honoring of us as customers and championed the food and the establishment. Watch out... he may be a manager someday sooner than later... ;)

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch . First time eating here . I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and the burger was delicious and juicy. Fries were delicious as well and food was hot. Great service and very clean restaurant. Definitely going back to try other menu items.
google avatar

Crissy Y.

Yelp
Tried this place the first time tonight. The burgers were delicious! I got the Mahi Mahi. Very mouth watering! My husband got the Opa. Yummy! My son got the Fire burger. He said it was good, was not spicy at all. No fire. My other son ordered the mushroom burger, said it was delicious! We shared the yummy sweet potato fries. Service was great, and place was clean. We sat outside and watched the basketball game that was playing on tv.

Yelp
Ohmygoodness. So good! I got the fried chicken sandwich and my Husband got the BBQ burger. Our fries of choice were the bacon-parm fries and they were dangerously delicious. I throughly enjoyed and highly recommend the boozy root beer float. Plenty of seating outside with pretty flowers. We will be back for more. Thank you!! (:

Yelp
Lots of good things to say about this restaurant. First, staff is friendly. Also, nice mix of draft beers. I'm this visit we had the Kimchi burger, pulled pork sandwich, and a regular cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was a solid burger and tasty. Soft, lightly toasted buns were a plus. The Kimchi burger came out rare even though we asked for medium well. It was very juicy and tasted good but didn't have a distinctive flavor - mostly just a tasty cheeseburger. The onion rings are good but they aren't my favorite. I prefer lightly beer battered. These are more like dipped in crumbs and then fried, but tasty. The highlight was the pulled pork sandwich which comes with coleslaw on it. It was huge, and delicious. We will go back and that will ne my choice next time. The place was clean and cool and bonus - dogs are allowed!

Yelp
Dec 3, 2023 Me and my gym friends went to The Burger Joint to celebrate our Zumba instructor's Bday! It was my first time there and their burgers were huge and cooked to perfection. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. Also, the ambiance felt like the Good old days enjoying the outside atmosphere, and eating our delicious burgers!!!

Yelp
Catching up with friends brought me over to try this little burger joint. The place is designed with the ordering taking place in an semi indoor area and all seating is on the patio. There are umbrellas for the sun and heaters for when it gets cold. Once your order is placed you take a number and find your seat. The food came out quickly and cooked to my liking, but the fries were a bit over cooked, almost chips. The staff was very courteous and attentive while I enjoyed my food. Add in the fact that there were screens all over playing the game. I'll return for sure.

Yelp
burger was pretty tasty. little bit of a long wait time. good spacious outdoor seating.

Yelp
Found this place via Reddit; was looking for a good replacement for the dearly departed Burger Guys, and this place carries that torch with pride! Most of the seating is outdoors, so expect the inside to be crowded if it's cold out. The patio area is really nice though, and most of it is under cover to keep the rain off. Sadly, I can't give this place a full five stars just yet based on our first impression, but having learned my lesson, I'll try something different for my own meal next time. Both Beef and Impossible Burgers are off the menu for me (I have some weirdly specific allergies/intolerances) so I opted for the veggie patty - with the toppings from the Kimchi Burger. Even with me expecting the toppings to pull their weight, it was still disappointing; the patty barely seemed seasoned at all and didn't taste of much. I can eat pork, so next time I'll try their pulled pork sandwich and I'll update my review if it fares better. As for the other four stars though? First star, the fries, which are double-cooked and all the better for it. Second, the dipping sauces - if you're getting just plain fries, the bacon aioli is great on the side. The rest? Three words; Rocket. Fuel. Shake. Anyone who knows me can attest I'm not really an ice-cream person, nevermind someone who'll order a milkshake more often than once in a blue moon, but this blew all of my expectations out of the water. Dark chocolate, coffee, and the bitter flavor of a really good stout, offset by a sweet and creamy shake... we only got one because we both need to watch our sugar intake, but me and my husband passed it back and forth all throughout lunch. If you've never had an alcoholic milkshake, try this one. It won't get you hammered but 8th Wonder's stout has the most incredible flavor, and for us, it'll be a must-have every time. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My friend suggested this spot when we grabbed a late dinner as he's eaten here numerous times. It's been ages since I had a good burger but my cravings for burgers are restored after being here. First, a side note about the interior. They made their seating to adjust to COVID with indoor, outdoor, and bar seating so everyone can be comfortable. Really applaud them for that. Second, they've got a good amount of burger options, toppings, sides, beverages, and shakes. Even adult shakes on are here. Never mixed dairy and booze before so I'll have to try that next time. I went with the opa! burger (grass fed lamb), potato salad, and a peanut butter shake. First the burger was cooked a perfect medium and the cucumber and tzatziki sauce complimented the meat to a T. As for T as in tzatziki, it's such an underrated sauce; it should be offered as a condiment for all foods including hot dogs, pizza, and calzones! The potato salad was the right consistency and had the right Mayo/mustard balance that makes me crave potato salad. The shake was perfect to wash everything down and balance my sodium intake with some sweetness. I'm not surprised the place was packed when I came as this is a Houston favorite it seems. No doubt I'll be here again whenever I want a tasty burger or adult shake. Houston, we have a problem: your burger scene has upped its game!

Yelp
First visit to this location but in a few words..it's awesome. Great everything and if you love onion rings definitely get them and do not share, make the others ordering get their own or you might not get any. I have had the burger and the chicken and both are amazing. Sweet potato fries are great and if you like them extra crispy you can order them that way. This will not be the last visit here as we come to Houston often. Curbside and all of the regular delivery services.

Yelp
Oreo milk shake amazing! Delicious. I wish there was a vegan option with oat or almond milk. The fries were burnt. The onion rings were tasty with the spicy ketchup. The veggie burger was mediocre. However my husband really loved it. Make sure to add cheddar cheese as it doesn't come with it. 25$ with tip for burger fries / onion rings and shake . I love rodeo goat in the area but this is good with outdoor seating and TVs. Try it out

Yelp
The burger was ok. We ordered a salted caramel shake but got a peanut butter shake. The sweet potato fries were good. Great place to watch sports and have decent but not spectacular burgers.

Yelp
Ordered online for curbside. finally had to go in & pick it up after following all curbside instructions. Burger was soggy, over priced and the guy at counter could not have cared less!! Too many burger options for bad service & soggy burgers.

Yelp
I read that the beef is from 100% free range Angus cattle. It was a good, chunky burger. I was able to choose how it was cooked too - rare, medium rare, well done, etc. I ordered medium rare, and it was pleased with the result. Super flavorful and tender. This is the best fast food burger I think I've ever had. The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. I will say the fries were not so memorable - but we ordered take-out so that may have contributed. The have a variety of sauces to choose from. When I went to pick up the burgers, there was a large outdoor patio with lots of seating. At almost 9pm on Friday, there were still lots of people sitting outside. Casual and laid back atmosphere. We'd definitely come here again!
