The Burgers

The burgers and hotdogs were so juicy, and the sides were just as good! We had fresh collard greens, mushroom soup, and crispy onion rings. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, which made our meal even better.

My husband and I were in the area and decided to give this place a try after seeing good feedback online about it! It was phenomenal great burgers with HUGE portions! We got a bunch of stuff to try it all! We tried the BYO burger, catfish, buffalo wrap, fried pickles, chilli cheese fries. It was all so good and yummy! The Ranch was the cherry on top for sure! If I’m not mistaking Toby took care of us and his service was great! I would for sure come back and make the drive since I live an hour away just to eat here!

Service was awesome! The food was hot, fresh, didn't take long to come out and good portion sizes for the price. Our only issue was hubby's burger being cooked well done instead of medium. But again, great service and we'd definitely stop in again.

This place is always top notch. Never had a bad experience here. It's never been a "hit or miss" depending on who's working like some places.

We had a friend recommend we try The Burgers restaurant. We had a party of three for lunch on Saturday the 21st. The food and atmosphere were excellent but our server could have done a bit better checking on us and filling our drinks. It looked like he was working very hard but they were short handed and he was busting it to stay caught up. We really enjoyed our lunch and we'll be back soon

Fabulous tasting burgers! My husband and I each ordered a burger & split an order of delicious onion rings. The burgers were ample sized & we each took a half with us. Wait staff also friendly & provided great service.

The Burgers was great! Large portions. Everything tasted delicious. We sat outside on the patio, perfect for a cool day to enjoy a meal. Service was excellent. Overall, great experience!

Really good food and great service here. Take away or eat in-either option is great. Small place with small parking lot but they have an overflow lot. Nice folks with great food. When they have a ribs special, get it! I don't EVER order ribs but these fall off the bone and should not be missed! The entire meal was absolutely wonderful!

This is part 2 of my The Burgers review. Ironically, the very day before I tried the Lenoir City location not knowing my friends were going to take me here. Since I had the burger the day before I tried another option. So I ordered the Southern Clucker, a fried chicken sandwich with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and jalapeños. I wasn't as impressed with the chicken as I was with the other location's burger. The chicken was fairly tough and chewy and the piece was smaller than the bun it was sitting in, so it was literally tough to eat. The bun and vegetables were fresh though. I loved the onion rings. Best seasoning I've had on fries or onion rings in a long time, and the waitress brought some ranch which helped even more! Because the locations seem consistent, I'll also give the Powell location 4 stars. Great sides, good buns, but not without their faults. Looking forward to trying the fried fish in future.

Amazing food! Great service. Staff is great and the food is out of this world! This is probably our favorite go-to for burgers.

Overall good experience. The environment was very chill. Our waiter was PHENOMENAL. The service side was the best I've experienced in a while. Only 4 stars because while the fried pickles were great, the burger was not quite what I had hoped for. If you intend to try here, I recommend sitting outside because the patio is nice!

Nice outdoor seating area with live music. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Friendly server, good service. I had the Knox burger. Basic mushroom and Swiss burger. The onions were caramelized perfectly and i think the mushrooms were sautéed in wine, not sure but really good. There were more fries than anyone would ever eat. You will really enjoy this place

Probably the best fish and shrimp combo I have ever had!! Food was fast and the server was very polite. Definitely adding this place to my favorite food rotation.

I ordered only a patty for dietary restrictions, they charge me $15 for a whole burger plus extra for bacon and cheese. When I told the server I ordered only a Patty, she said "that's how we do it" Pretty uncool!

Great burgers, good chicken, ideal portion sizes, service is prompt and friendly. Nice and casual with a patio, will return again!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at The Burgers. I ordered the CP Burger, which is supposed to come with chili and jalapeños, but when it arrived, it was missing the jalapeños entirely and had maybe a tablespoon of chili--definitely not what was advertised. I politely called the first time as it was a Togo order. They informed me to take a picture and they would comp my next burger. Since I live 20 minutes away I said okay. Once I did this they asked me to take another picture of the bottom as that's where the chili was. They eventually said that picture was not good enough. He told me it had everything on it as it should and essentially called me a liar. He was adamant that I was mistaken and the burger was correct, despite my clear observation otherwise. I've been to plenty of burger joints, but I've never had an experience like this, where not only was my order wrong, but I was also made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. I get that mistakes happen, but customer service and accountability were non-existent here. Won't be returning. There are too many great burger places in town that actually care about their customers.

I've ordered burgers here and was not disappointed. The restaurant was rustic feeling and the service was great. I ordered out the second time and staff remembered me and when pack my food, they did a neat job, marked each container for the additional people I ordered for. Only negative thing is the parking.

Friendly staff!! Waitress has been great, friendly and quick to help. Live music was being played outside. They had margaritas for 2.99. The burgers were awesome!! Juicy, flavorful, the onion rings were so good as well. We will be back!!

We had a chance to get a burger in between games in Halls. Glad we did! My son loved the chili cheese fries and said that this is his new place! The food overall was good. I was really impressed with the produce. The lettuce was crisp, the tomato was ripe, and the onion was firm. Very fresh! Our server (maybe Tabitha) was awesome! She was extremely attentive and kind to my 10 year old. The patio outside provided a great area to enjoy a juicy burger, beer, and a good dad/son lunch!

Stumble on this place today. It was so good! Lots and lots of food!!! Left the to left over box in the table and the waitress ran it out to us! Will be coming back.

Really great food and friendly staff. We recently ordered take out from The Burgers, and it was great. The food was fresh, the portions were huge, and the individual working clearly labeled each box so that we didn't have to guess what each box contained once the food was home.

My husband and I stopped for lunch. It's Saturday around 1:00pm and the restaurant was packed but we only waited 2 - 3 minutes for a table. The food came out quickly and it was hot! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and my husband ordered the chicken Philly. They were both stuffed full of meat and vegetables. The French fries were crispy and salted perfectly. The onion rings were golden brown and delicious! We love The Burgers and have been here before but this is our first time ordering the Phillys. From previous visits, I can tell you their burgers and fish & chips are also great choices.

I came in because I heard a co-worker raving about how good their fried mushrooms, onion rings and pickles tasted. I am a huge fried mushroom fan, so I made a trip out the same day. The staff was super nice and I was greeted by several of them. They had a great margarita drink special, so I ordered a strawberry margarita for $2.99 & the mushrooms. The drink was pretty strong to me, but I'm a light weight a prefer sweet drinks that don't taste like alcohol. It was still good for $2.99. Now the mushrooms were fantastic! The best I have ever had and if they are on a menu, I order them, so I have had a lot. The batter was very flavorful and the ranch was delicious. I heard they are both made fresh, in house. Can't wait to go back and try some other stuff! Yummy!

Was there yesterday. Second visit! Absolutely the worst burger I have ever had. So salty and the onion rings were served like warm. Mac and cheese was like eating plastic covered in Luke warm velveeta. Not a fan.

Driving through Knoxville and found this place on Yelp. Decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. The burgers were cooked perfectly, fries were yummy, and the mac-n-cheese was different but good! Service was great. I would recommend.

We were worried about coming at 630pm on a Saturday night but it was a great experience. There was no wait and our server was on the ball with food and refills. The staff worked well together and they seemed to all be providing great service to the guests. I got the Big Tex burger and it was fairly priced at 13. It was cooked to a perfect medium. Only thing I wished I'd have added was jalapeños. They give you so many fries you're drowning in them. My husband got the CP burger and they weren't lying then they said it's messy. He really enjoyed it too though. We we a little surprised with the name of the restaurant they only had a half dozen burgers but it was good food and good service for a fair price.

So, after a long absence, Grubmate and I returned to this eatery at the corner of Emory & Dry Gap. We've taken to eating out one evening a week, as much to relieve boredom as to renew the socializing skills. We've taken the names of our pre-pandemic favs and placed them in a hat, from which we draw our evening dining destination. As mentioned, The Burgers 'won' tonight's destination contest. We were quickly seated and after a brief perusal of the menu, Grubmate opted for a chicken sam'ich w/onion rings, while I selected the fish & chips, a favorite. The wait was a tad long considering the mostly empty dining area, but when our food arrived it was super hot! My fish strips were a nice golden brown, and quite evenly cooked. The chicken sandwich looked sketchy from the get-go. Although by appearance the fish strips were perfect, in reality, they were a bit under-done. A bit disconcerting to say the least. Still, as they were steaming hot, I opted to solider-through, thinking to gobble my fries along with the chewy (but tasty fish). Ahhh, the fries..... I understand cooking oils have dramatically increased in price, however cooking in oils that are 'past prime' is a false economy. Each fry carried a distinct 'old grease' flavour that literally left a bad taste on my palate. I tried several, with the same unsavory result. Grubmate's onion rings suffered the same fate, alas. The chicken breast sam'ich appeared to have been sliced into a thin offering, again a false economy. I can't recall ever encountering as poor an excuse for a chicken breast sandwich. Our waitress, Beka, was very attentive with refills, checking back often. Though the service was above average (as usual), the meal standards have fallen so dramatically I can't recommend a revisit at this, a formerly local favorite for us. As my meal price-pegged at $28 (including 5$ tip) the taste/value ratio fails into the 'toss from hat' range. It was a disappointing outing, however I consoled myself upon returning home with a sausage/cheese quesadilla from our home kitchen!

Great customer service and food was tasteful! The vibe is pretty awesome! Something rare to find around here! Will be coming back soon!

Over two years ago I had a nice burger in Lenoir City, TN. I did not recall the name of the place and was only there for a short time so hadn't gone back. Recently, while looking for a good burger in the Oak Ridge/Knoxville area (a challenge for me), I came across 'The Burgers' with two locations: one in Powell, TN and one in Lenoir City! I realized this the same place, I'd been. So I headed for the Powell location which is notably closer to me. I arrived in the evening to find the place busy though not overly crowded. Someone immediately got me seated and menu'd. The place has the feel of a roadside cafe with rustic decor , a mix of sturdy tables and pub style high top tables. I was pleased with the assortment of foods beyond just burgers, but a burger was why I was there. I ordered a CP Burger (chili, pepper jack, and jalapenos), fries, and a Coke Zero. I was not disappointed by the burger, it was flavorful, and nicely spicy something I've had trouble finding. The fries appeared to be hand cut and were not the over-thin and over cooked fries at too many local restaurants. And offering a zero sugar option besides Diet Coke is a necessity to encourage a second visit from me usually. If I had a complaint it would be the same that I have at every restaurant I tried in Tennessee, not whole grain bread options. The day I find a restaurant with a good burger on good whole wheat bread (bun or otherwise) is the day they get a life-long customer. All that aside, I very much enjoyed 'The Burgers' and will definitely return for more burgers and maybe their fish and chips.

Absolutely outstanding. Best burger in Knoxville! That's tough for me to say having grown up going to Litton's but The Burgers have that crown in my book now.

The burgers, chicken, and pulled pork sandwiches were all delicious. The chicken sandwich was the best my daughter & husband have ever had. Service & ambiance were good.

We always have great food and service here Parking is a little sketchy, but we love the food.

What has happened to the food at The Burgers? I previously didn't mind paying a good bit for the fish dinner but never again! My recent order of this meal consisted of three pieces of fish and a ton of greasy fries that tasted and looked like they had been cooked several days previously and warmed up at least twice..in a microwave! Absolutely terrible and certainly not worth the price.

Great food and service! Very impressed! We had fried mushrooms as an appetizer with their homemade ranch. Those are worth a trip by themselves! We did burgers and fries as our entree and we weren't disappointed! Can't wait to go buy and try some of the other choices on the menu!

My burger was a perfect medium rare, the fries were more than enough and the staff was very attentive.

Not sure what the seasoning is they put on the burgers, but it's entirely too strong. Like inedible. Fries were ok. Service was ok. Not bad for being a former Conoco

My wife and I visiting this place for the first time. It did not disappoint. It was around 2:00pm on a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed (not a big parking lot which is the only negative to report) We sat immediately at the bar. Just a heads up, there are only 5 seats at the bar. It's small. Our server was Skye and she was awesome at her job. We chatted a bit and come to find out there were only 2 servers and 2 back up employees (which were both fairly new) The servers did a better job then I have seen 5 servers do in a much bigger restaurant. I saw three employees cooking in the kitchen area. The volume these 7 employees were able to handle in the 45 minutes we were there, stacks up to one of the best experiences we have had since our move to Knoxville. The $3 special priced margarita did not disappoint and my Yee Haw Brewing Dunkel for $6. Keep up the great job Skye and crew. We will be back!

Found a new favorite burger place off Emory Road. I ordered the freedom, burger and onion rings. Everything was delicious; the servers are to be commended I've seen military operations that didn't run as smooth ;all young ladies all with a smile ;never had to ask for anything like I said, I had the freedom, burger and onion rings my wife had the freedom, burger, and fries so we could try each ;very very good as I said the servers, not much of a wait ; small place that's the only downside needs to be a little bit bigger but it was very crowded. Very popular places usually are going to go back and try out the fish and maybe some of the banana pudding. I definitely would give this place five stars.

Been to The Burgers a few times since living in Powell, and every time I go, I have received wonderful service. Their ranch sauce is my absolute favorite! Do not like the parking out front deceive you, there is an additional parking lot on the side of their building if it becomes crammed. I have never had to wait regardless of how busy it was. Speaks volume to their hospitality. Great place, would recommend for anyone looking for a nice southern burger place decorated with local gems.

The French fries are almost always hot and fresh here. Only had 1 time they weren't and the waitress immediately replaced them with fresh not reheated fries. So service is normally great and prompt. As for the atmosphere it's a burger place but a bit above normal.

Solid 4/5 for a local place nearby where we live. This location has been different things over time but this establishment has stuck and I can see why. - You get sizable portions, no matter what you order. Fries galore. - Servers are generally friendly and helpful to make sure your order is as you like. - We have also received from this establishment via pickup and delivery service. Portions and quality are no different, minus the fact the meal is starting from a container and not a plate. - This update of the facility includes more parking, which was always an issue under previous ownerships. Do watch coming in and out of the lot in the front, traffic flies through there! Faves include the grilled chicken sandwich, fried mushrooms and the fish and chips meals. Burgers are good too, if you can handle it! Give it a shot, support your local joints.

The service was fantastic and the food was hot and very tasty, their cole slaw was excellent and I'm very picky about my cole slaw. Tabitha was our server and she was so friendly and efficient.

Burgers were huge and delicious. Feels like a 5 guys but 10x better. 5 guys burgers drip with grease, not these. You also get a ton of fries & the other sides were delicious too. Definitely coming back here

The food is good. I wish they were located in a different spot because the parking sucks and the inside can be extremely loud if it's packed. Would love to see this business at another location. Service is also good.

Rustic decor in a redefined filling station is a local favorite stop. The Knox Burger is a hand crafted burger, cooked to order, topped with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms and mayo. It is full of juicy flavor and served with a plate load of hot crispy fries! It is an amazingly tasty and filling meal. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated promptly. The Knox Club, grilled chicken with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, crispy bacon, and tart pickles, is nothing short of delightfully delicious is also served with their amazing fries. We will absolutely return!

I had the Chicago dog and fries. Generous portion and delicious. The service was terrible. I didn't see the waitress again after she delivered my food. They had 3 servers there and there were six tables and one person at the bar. After I finished I waited 20 min and still no check. Finally noticed my waitress chatting and laughing with other staff at the end of the bar.I walked over and told her if she didn't mind I needed to leave. I left a 20% tip because I wasn't sure if they tip-share and didn't want to stiff the excellent cook. Their website didn't have an option to contact management. In case a manager sees this-long blonde hair and the name on my receipt is Jenna.

Their Burgers are Amazingly Delicious!!!! My Sister and I went and we were pleasantly pleased! Can't wait to go again!

UNSANITARY and DIGUSTING! Our first visit we tried the burgers, not bad. We saw the fish and decided to come back and try that. We live an hour away. After our meals were brought to the table, our waitress didn't bring silverware so she went to get some. After waiting several minutes I went to get it myself and I'm glad I did. I walked up to the front and a waitress was about to roll up our silverware when she noticed a fork was dirty, so she decides to pick up a dirty dish rag with obvious food on it and wipe the fork off and proceeded to roll it up in a napkin for my waitress. My waitress didn't speak up either, so I did. I said "seriously?" Loudly and they both jumped and said I scared them. She asked what was wrong and when I told her, her reply was well I can give you another one. Yes, and you should have but had I not witnessed it and said something, we would have been given that nasty fork. Then without washing her hands after touching that nasty dish rag, she grabs another fork by the tines and wraps it up! I was disgusted. We cleaned our silverware ourselves and left without providing a tip. This is unacceptable and were it my restaurant, they'd both be fired.

Service is always great! Restaurant is clean. Great atmosphere. Kind of gives me pub vibes. The burger I had wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad. I'll try something different next time. The hubby and kid loved theirs. The fried mushrooms and onion rings are awesome!

Love this place, but wish they had a larger cocktail selection. Good burgers, FANTASTIC shrimp plate....highly recommend! Great little local place!

This afternoon, my family and I were out looking for a good place to go and eat. We chose The Burgers, which my mom recalled having a good experience there a couple of weeks ago. When we arrived, there were little people actually at the resturant, with only 2 tables eating and 1 table was leaving. I ordered a plain Tex burger with bacon and fries, my mom ordered a Freedom Burger with fries, and my sister ordered a plate of tenders and fries. We also ordered onion rings. The food was mediocre, and we did not like the onion rings. However, that is not what made me give this resturant one star. The service that we rwcieved today was absolutely atrocious. While they got our food to us at an alright time, it seemed like they wanted to spend more time talking to eachother than actually helping their customers. It took them forever to do something as simple as getting refills to our table, and we had to wait even longer for them to get our bill out to us. For how much we had to pay, this service was . I understand that during Covid it would be alot harder for some restaurants to serve their customers, but with how little people were there, their ignorance was unacceptable. We did not leave the resturant satisfied, and we will be choosing another burger resturant next time.

Very disappointed! Burgers were dry, tough and seasoned so the patty didn't taste like beef. Lots of fries that were soggy- probably cooked the previous day and reheated. Gave it 2 stars because service was good.

I was looking for a different place to eat and I came across the burgers. It is kind of a trendy place but looked interesting. They have a small parking lot but I found a space. I had their burger steak which was really good. I liked the gravy and the potatoes. Green beans were crisp. The burger was cooked right. The service was good- it is worth stopping back to try something else.
