Google
These are probably the best street arts I have ever seen. Highly recommend to get a guided tour underwise you would not have noticed some of the tiny arts on the streets. I was amazed how the artists could paint with this level of complexity, and express their beliefs using just strokes and colours. The tour ended in around an hour after walking through the streets of Brooklyn.

Google
Had a lovely tour of this area with Mar who gave all of the art here extra meaning and the neighborhood with really good restaurants there were really enjoyable too

Really fun graffiti art and great food trucks in the area. If you are around, don't pass this up!

When I tell you having an apartment in Brooklyn is unlike anything else and unlike where else I mean it. This is one of the reason that we kept our apartment after moving to Fairfield county. Brooklyn is a magical place… every neighborhood is a unique ecosystem unlike another. But the greatest of these is Bushwick. We attended the Block party and we have zero regrets. Held in the heart of Bushwick with the Bushwick collective this an amazing place for drinks and music! The culture, the art work and the graffiti is artistic expression at its best. Seeing the works of local artists is profound! We ate from the local vendors, played giant connect four and drink beer and martinis which crowd watching on the mock Sandy beach! Great great time here.

Google
the area was cool, full of organic murals. but it was also dirty 😬 with a lot of litter lying on the street. comparatively, miami wynwood is much better maintained. on the weekend, the neighborhood is very quiet with almost no one around.

Google
one of those places that is really fun and doesn't even cost anything! great for taking photos. impressive street art worth seeing. easy to reach by subway!

Google
Bushwick Collective Street Art is breath taking city beauty that I am so glad we went to while visiting Brooklyn/NYC for the day. . We parked in a near by neighborhood (free street parking) and just walked around. We came up to many cafes and hipster looking bars and soon stumbled upon the "art" on the buildings and many walls. To call it graffiti is not correct. These are masterpieces, beautiful works of art. During our entire stay, there where many couples walking around, teenagers, families, couples with babies and people taking photographs of the walls. There was a large group doing a photo tour- save yourself money and just do what we did - we just explored around ourselves. If you are in Brooklyn, or even the city itself, make the trip over to this area and experience this great artist area.

Google
One of the best collections of street arts I’ve seen spread across several streets. Some parts of the neighborhood felt a bit rough. The intersection of Nicholas and Troutman is the epicenter of the murals.

Yelp
A Living breathing ever evolving graffiti/street art/ public arts display that culminates with an annual block party on the streets of Bushwick... centered around troutman and wycoff. Here you can find works from artists from across the world as well as many locals from NY. This year I had the pleasure of attending the 13th annual block party and it was amazing! Featuring acts like static selector, Tony touch, raekwon, fatman scoob, and many more. Also lots of food , crafts, and clothing vendors... and the best part was that it was free to the public! Had an amazing time. The owners mission is to pour back into the community, and he's doing an amazing job of it!

Yelp
An array of Street Art by obviously "talented" Artists! The Collective is spread out on several blocks, but the main Collection is on Troutman and St. Nicholas, which is not open to vehicular traffic, so plan on parking and walking. A drive by will not work for that block..(part of the reason I need to return) I did drive by photography for several reasons.. Nostalgia hit as I drove thru the now "gentrified" Bushwick. As a youth, Bushwick was one of my stomping grounds. Back then, Street Art was sadly looked down upon by some..! Oh how times have changed!!!! Bushwick definitely has a bit of a face lift, with all the newly erected restaurants, Coffee Shops, Hipsters and boutiques scattered about...but its still recognizable thankfully, and its grit remains...alot of the old apt buildings are still standing, and I was able to spot a bodega or 2 delightfully lol. I'll def be back to finish viewing the Art..!

Yelp
As you can see from all the photos I've posted over the years, Bushwick is still the place for street art! In addition to the annual painting block party, artists drop new work in this area all the time. You see something new every time! Walkable--you'll see a lot in a short amount of time. Great restaurants around. Take the L to get here. Also a fairly close walk to Meserole Street, which isn't technically part of the collective, but stacked with awesome murals!

Yelp
Graffiti is an element of Hip Hop culture that was once criminalized. Just like rap, it has now found its way intog American culture. You can find it on walls, billborads and even TV. It is everywhere. Well if you want a space where you don't have to look far, this is it. This is an outdoor space that house many examples of wall art. A bonus is the yearly Black Party put on by Joe!

Yelp
This street art is amazing! It's incredible that there are so many artists out there of this magnitude that are doing this type of art but look at the great photos of this art and I'm sure you'll agree that they are a very talented group of people in the Bushwick Street Art Collective in Brooklyn! Brooklyn has come a long way over the past 20 years from when I was a young child driving through with my parents.

Yelp
I love street arts. I finally made it to visit Bushwick collective today . Salute to all artists whose talents are very impressive. I wish I could do what they can do. These well known collections of street arts , murals, paintings or graffitis are quite a beautiful things to see. Wandering along the neighbor is worthy of my time. In such a short visit, I felt like I have been there for hours longer than I have spent. There are few bars, breweries, coffee shops, restaurants , shops and shows in the area . It has been considered now a safe place to visit. I have heard that they are changing partly of the arts display annually during their summer block party. I could imagine how crowded the event be. We have no trouble looking for street parking during our visit. We were even close to the main location. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Visiting street murals is one of my favorite things to do when traveling. After hopping out of the L train station here I could already see some artwork on walls. I do believe that mural art pieces are replaced by new ones every so often (based on seeing photos from other reviewers the murals right next to the Biggie one in particular keep constantly changing). I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was hardly anyone in the area, making this experience a pretty low-key stroll. Despite what the photos here show though, there is a bunch of typical graffiti on the walls as well and the extravagant murals quickly become few and far between the farther you walk away from the subway station making it some sort of a scavenger hunt. Didn't want to get too lost (the murals are all around in the area and not on one street) so I just went up and down Troutman St. for a little bit. If you have some time to kill and want to see art for free definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Did I mention New York never gets old? I can never get bored, so much to see and eat! So if you're into the arts, here is a free exhibit. The Bushwick street art are done by local artist who ask permission from business who can express themselves on thier walls. From graffiti pieces and painting all from scratch. There are several blocks of street art and replaced every few months with new exhibits. Definitely a must to visit.

Yelp
These murals showcased the extensive creativity and undefeated talent that New Yorkers have to offer

Yelp
The Bushwick Collective is an outdoor street art gallery that spans several blocks down Troutman St, St Nicholas Ave, and the surrounding area. It's accessible by the L train (Jefferson St) or by car. I came on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of parking available. I noticed there were a lot of walking tours around the area, and I would recommend it if you are interested in learning more about the artists behind these works. Tour or no tour, these murals along the walls of factories, garages and shops can be appreciated by all. PS- Finish off the day with a visit to Brooklyn Beer Garden for drinks and more art!

Yelp
Beautiful area. Lots of local coffee shops to grab a coffee and walk the area. I went early and had no issues with finding a close parking spot in the area. Definitely under rated - much check out!

Yelp
Amazing, amazing place. This place was set up by a man called Joseph Ficalora, who owns some of the buildings in the blocks and he personally curated this humongous outdoor art. Came here as a part of Bushwick street art walking tour. Learnt many things about graffiti, local artists like Cornbread, Ned, Phlegm(London), lexibella, shiro among others, their signature styles, what kind of social and political activism they are doing. The tour was very informative, the art is mind-blowing and it's amazing that you can see all this beauty for free. Would love to return in fashionable clothes like the fancy instagrammers flocking the place. Highly recommend going here. Read up a bit about local graffiti, the Brooklyn and Bushwick areas' wiki pages for better experience.

Yelp
Sort of an outdoor art instillation that uses buildings instead of canvases. It adds to the neighborhood and I think it tells you more about the local culture than the bars and coffee shops do.

Yelp
I feel like I need to know more. Before I get in to the particulars of the pieces (which are awesome), the current... acceptance (not the right word) of street art is a weird thing for me to wrap my head around. For so long, 'street art' had different names, a very specific connotation and association that split down racial/ethnic lines. Now, it's hot. People (purveyors or adopters?) give tours extolling the genius of that which was 'scary' just a little while ago. And, we can't overlook the setting. For all the gentrification and 'Girls'ification of the borough, when I think 'Brooklyn,' I think 'The Cosby Show,' 'Do The Right Thing,' 'Crooklyn,' and 'Living Single.' This type of art isn't something new or to be fetishized. Hell, if my memory doesn't betray me, a 'The Cosby Show' open (as well as those other shows I mentioned) was entirely about 'street art.' The Cosby Show. So. With all that said, the Collective is worth your while. I don't know that it's worth a 'tour' per se. For me, it's just NYC. It's Brooklyn. It's a reminder of the city I first experienced so many years ago and remember so fondly. Had I known that 'street art' would go from demonization to commodification, I would have paid more attention to particulars back in the day. But then - as now - art that catches your eye is art that catches your eye. Now there are just likes to be had and 'authenticity' to present. Forget all that. If you're in the area and have some time to kill (and, space on your phone), walk around and take some photos. Look up the various artists and see if they have other work to explore/appreciate. This review is about the art. It *should* be about the art. So, I'll leave the extras where they lay. I guess I'm happy that more people are getting the chance to check this* out... but there are plenty of people that - for plenty of years - have lived, walked, watched, and appreciated 'street art' just fine. You know? For that segment of the population, what is this? Thursday? However, a commissioned collection *is* a nice thing to witness. I can't dispute that. This. *The collective use of the word.

Yelp
Awesome area to see some of the best street art and murals on the east coast. It was kind of like 5 pointz, but bigger/cleaner. My favorite free thing to do in NY!
google avatar

Yelp
I came here with a group of friends. Bushwick Collective is a 8 blocks radius of wall murals. Some people called them graffiti arts. I was astonished by the astronomical sizes of them. It would had been great to see the artist at work. Since there weren't many foods options, we went to Smorgasbord in Williamsburg afterward.

Yelp
Bushwick is the new WIlliamsburg in Brooklyn. In this area you will find a beautiful strip of streets with some wicked art work. The details are very well done and the work is truly professional. You can walk down a few streets and just check out walls and walls of art. However, watch where you're walking because you could miss some art work on the actual sidewalks on certain streets. There are a few restaurants in the area to grab some food/drinks after your mini tour of urban art.

Yelp
"street art" is legit one of my favorite things. On any given day I can be found wandering this city seeking out the latest & greatest from artists like jerkface or toofly or sacsix. So imagine my excitement when I learned that there's a whole neighborhood* with murals, murals and more murals. Our afternoon in Bushwick started at Troutman and Wyckoff and as we looped the neighborhood the artwork just got better and better. Murals of all colors, so many different designs and all at various scales. There's just so much good stuff throughout the neighborhood. Can't wait to see what's to come in the future... *there's actually two you should check out... Bushwick and Welling Court [https://www.yelp.com/biz/welling-court-mural-project-astoria?hrid=mOWxKGJKs1fACoqECVMPtQ&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct)]

Yelp
Found this neighborhood art installation on a random drive. Had to find a parking spot and take a quick walk to see it all. Talented artists for sure.

Yelp
This is a great way to spend time outdoors while viewing the wonderful examples of street art which I absolutely love. I actually spent my birthday here using the art as backdrops for my birthday shoot and my photos came out amazing. There is definitely something here to appeal to all ages if you are into street art. I am happy that it is in my borough and readily accessible and IT'S FREE.

Yelp
Definitely a cool spot to check out some Graffiti art. Was able to walk around a few blocks and take pictures of all the art work on the walls. They picked up some talented individuals to do their thing on the walls. Everything was so detailed. There was even someone shooting a music video by one of the walls. (no one famous.. lol) There is also a few bars in that area. If you're ever in New York and you are into photography or graffiti art, definitely hit this place out!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
This is raw urban gentrification in progress. No trust fund hipsters here. Just block by block rebirth of a new, progressive community using artistic expression and tolerance as a draw. New York has always been a Mecca for urban graffiti and mural artists and the Bushwick Collective shines a light on the site of the most talented urban artists out there. The murals change so go enjoy them and support the local merchants and community. Each block showcases fabulous works. There are great bistros, music venues and cafes emerging. A great couple of hours exploring one of New York's emerging neighborhoods.

Yelp
Instagram obsessed? Snap chat groupie? Picture whore... guilty as charged! So when I see a cool opportunity to take pictures I am there. Thank you Brandon C! It's a super cool place! I'd like to take credit for it, but I can't. Thank you Brandon for posting your amazing pictures so I got to check out this place!! Brandon said it best "where else can you find The Notorious Biggie Smalls and The Notorious President of the United States, in the same place?" The Bushwick collection was a special find because it wasn't one of my bookmarks of food I was looking for, but it was actually something new and fun. I love street art, especially with talented artist. If you appreciate art in all forms you will enjoy this place. They definitely had some wicked artwork. I find anyone would love the blocks and blocks of different artwork plus you get to go for a nice walk. Many international artists have created their murals here. How dope is that?! Unfortunately when we arrived it had just gotten dark. It took us a bit of time to get here or I would've spent a lot more time looking at the cool artwork. Best time to come is definitely during the day. This is also a fun thing to do because it's FREE and you can take lots of fun pics! We got a bit lost but I hear if you take the L train and get off on Jefferson you're right there. We followed GPS which took us on a more difficult route. So make sure you figure out the directions before you head over there. My suggestion is to explore less touristy sites and head over here!

Yelp
I lived in NY for almost nine years. The day before I moved back home someone very special took me on a walking tour of my old neighborhood. The energy, the people, the art, the culture...all portrayed through the colors and canvas that is Bushwick. So much artistry in a few short blocks. The collection is a must for those who love street art, or art in general.
google avatar

Yelp
I was sad when 5-Pointz was razed. Within artists invited Bushwick and made a new home for urban/Spring paint art. The spray art are gorgeous and amazing. It changes often so I try to visit once a month when the weather is nice. Go early in the morning a enjoy the creations without all the other people blocking you. By 11am the place start getting crowded. What you saw last year may not be there the next. It is fun on weekends to just walk around the streets with a camera and if you are lucky you'll catch one of the artist at work. Give yourself 1-2 hours. Easy by car and by subway (L train Jefferson St). There are MTA bus on Flushing Ave too.

Yelp
Best open air art museum anywhere and the coolest! Greatest collection of graffiti and street art murals in NYC. This is the number one reason to come visit Bushwick, and if you love street art as much as I do you will most likely agree with Vogue magazine ranking this the 7th most fashionable neighborhood in the world. The artists are not just locals. Many internationals artists have created some of the murals here. It's an all star collection and one of the greatest proofs that graffiti is art and some of the most exciting art there is to see. I have posted at least 100 pics, but there are so many more to see. Plan on making an evening or a long bout of day drinking out of this visit. I'm looking forward to heading out to see this again on my next visit. These artists have spent so much time and money creating these murals. Can't thank them enough. You may want to consider doing this as part of the free tours by foot Short list of artists who have created pieces here, there are so many. too many to list them all. Zimad Sexer Sticks, Icy & Sot Prvt Nychos Smithe Blek le rat Sheryo & Yok D*Face Buff Monster Jerkface Best way to get here is the L train to Jefferson st. It's a short walk from there (0.4 miles). Come support the yearly block party if you can. This is a non profit, and advertising companies are painting over the murals so they need your support. Bushwick is the new Williamsburg and has been for awhile now. It's a hipster neighborhood that still has a fair mix of life long natives living there as well. Joseph Ficalora is a neighborhood kid, and the curator who put this together and made it all possible. He has done something amazing with this collective and you'll appreciate it more if you watch the documentary, "no wall is free" before you go. I have posted the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n5pDoKAcgw He has been through hell and back. This used to to be one of the worst neighborhoods in NYC, but he has turned this all into something positive and helped make this one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world. This is one of NYC's great unsung hero's who deserves all the recognition and respect he can get. This is a non-profit venture. No one has more love for this neighborhood then him. Hopefully a petition can be created to stop the paid billboard murals from covering over the free art that has been put up. I would sign in half a heartbeat. Come see this while you can. NYC is going through gentrification on steroids and rents are rising fast in this neighborhoods especially. Street art is turning into corporate advertising and who knows how much longer you will be able to see a thing like this. There is a lot to do around it. Lots of cool bars, craft brews, fresh oysters at Seawolf. Roberta's is not far away. I've seen Williamsburg change from what it was in 2000 to what is it is now and sadly I feel like this neighborhood will change demographics in the same way very soon. Get here and see this before the day comes that they build condo's over it and you're telling stories about collectives like these that used to exist. This is one of the coolest and most fun things to do in NYC, AND ITS FREE!

Yelp
I got my picture taken here with Biggie Smalls and Donald Trump. Where else can you go and see The Notorious B.I.G. and The Notorious POTUS in the same place? The Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn was one of my most looked forward to adventures in NY (because life is about more than food). It was easily accessible off the Jefferson L station, and made up for not having enough time to visit MoMA during my trip. Much of the street art in this neighborhood is the work of talented artists, making what one typically sees in other Arts Districts come across as creations of kids on crack toying around with spray cans like it's play dough. As is the case with any area of blocks of walls filled with artwork, there were some misses, but those were overshadowed by some of my favs: BIGGIE: "sicker than your average" mural, I can't think of a better figure to represent Brooklyn (ok Mike Tyson would've been cool). This is across from AP Café on Troutman St TRUMP: no matter where I go, his image or properties tend to hover over me like an NSA drone. The smirk on his face in this image is so funny and classic ALL THAT & A BAG OF CHIPS: I made that name up for this, the subject isn't particularly near to my heart, but the colors and glow effects were impressive SUPER HEROES by Sipros: this stood out to me from afar, really awesome to go on IG and see when it was a work in progress before all the detail was completed I even stumbled upon a WRDSMTH piece wheat pasted on a random corner. After being to Bushwick, it's even more puzzling to me why anyone in their right mind would bother wasting their time at something as utterly atrocious as the "Pink Wall," when there are walls like these.

Yelp
Spent such a lovely(and cold) morning exploring the Bushwick murals. What a treasure!! So glad we ventured out of Manhattan. We used a getyourguide tour and we were not disappointed. It was super interesting to learn about the history of graffiti and how the murals changed this area of Brooklyn. Yay for street

Yelp
I was strolling around Bushwick last weekend and bumped into this amazing display of street art. It was fascinating! From the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue and Troutman Street, murals spread in every direction, enriching the neighborhood with a new age of beautiful art. Apparently, new murals come out very month, with no tourists in sight! I doubt most NewYorkers know about this place... Very very cool. www.facebook.com/TheBushwickCollective

Yelp
If you like street art, this area is a must see. It's just a neighborhood in Brooklyn that is filled with amazing art from very talented artists who have come from all over the world to paint. It's rad! Such cool artwork painted on fences, doors, a/c's, garages, manholes, sides of restaurants and businesses. It is absolutely worth the subway ride to see, super easy to get to, subway lets you off right there. Afterwards walk to Sicily's Best Pizzeria for a slice, such a great way to end an awesome day in one of the coolest neighborhoods I've been to!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing talent showcased here! Highly recommend. Free concert was cool, street artists working and conversing...food trucks were cool too. LADIES: bring some tissues or wet wipes cuz the port o potties had no toilet paper 2 hours into the event.

Alyssa R.

Yelp
This place is seriously stunning! There walls of art, stretching several blocks. Each and everyone of them are thoughtfully created. I recommended bringing a camera with you and document the art. Chances are you'll also see other folks hanging out and embracing the art too. I was able to go when it was sunny, which made it perfect for photo-taking.

Yelp
I was on one of those free walking tours; this one was entitled Bushwick Graffitti and Street Art (since renamed "Brooklyn Graffitti..."), and the guide ended the tour at this place after helping interpret some of the art here. It's an ever changing gigantic mosaic of murals spanning multiple city blocks. Ah, just lovely. There's art of all different types. It's really good stuff. I highly recommend dropping by and taking a stroll during the daylight hours.

Yelp
I came through yesterday and it was a blast. LOTS of food vendors on the street. They even had a few live performers, including Fat Joe. His performance was cool, but his mic did turn off at one point and he decided to not sing all his songs through. besides that, it was a good performance. I hate IPA so i was a bit annoyed that that was the only beer that was sold at the part of the event. It was cool to be invited to a lot of people's homes where they showed their creativity. I seen some really cool stuff! Cant wait to attend this next year!

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this area. If you love street art then you should absolutely walk around this neighborhood. I like to walk up and down the streets around here and around each corner is another piece of colorful graffiti to be discovered. I have quite an admiration for all things related to street art and after 5 Pointz closed I was searching for a new place with amazing graffiti. It took awhile to fill the hole in my heart after 5 Pointz was whitewashed, but this neighborhood is by far the best that I have seen since 5 Pointz. Be sure to walk along and even across Flushing Avenue to see all the street art over there too. Once you have walked around and are need of some good food in the neighborhood definitely check out :Arepera Guacuco. Its close to everything and has some of the best Latin American food I have ever had in NYC! Also nearby I took notes of other cool murals close to this area. -Whale/squid mural - Evergreen & Suydam corner -Cool wall - Broadway & Jefferson -2 corners of Central & Suydam are also good if you like pics and graffiti Another great area to check out is Welling Court in Queens if you like street art.

Yelp
This place was awesome. I've heard so many things about this area and art so I had to go check it out mYself. Now the day I went was a tad chilly so I would Love to go back when the weather is warmer. But the street art was so clean and cool to see

Yelp
The Bushwick Collective is a bit harder to find since it's spread out over a few blocks, unlike the 5 Pointz, which is situated on one building. It's also not as popular, considering certain parts of Bushwick have a bad reputation, so I think less people venture here. However, it's very close to East Williamsburg and on the border of the 2 neighborhoods, so it has a very Williamsburg feel to it. It's a bit tricky to find all of the art work. There are murals on walls every which way. Once you see one mural, you'll start seeing the rest, however you might have to go in a circle to see them all. It's a densely populated area and had me scratching my head as to why a street art exhibit all of a sudden started out here in the middle of nowhere. I doubt many people have seen the art work here and not many people even know this exists. Even so, it's a pretty cool stretch of blocks, and I love the murals of Biggie and the newly added James Gandolfini. If you haven't seen it yet, get your ass over there if you're an art lover! It's worth the 30 minutes of walking around and taking photos! By the way, there's plenty of parking here for those driving here.

Yelp
Great street art "collection" to see if you're in the area. It keeps changing, growing and getting better! Close to the train and some cool coffee shops.

Yelp
Good activity... These are fun to find all about and in Bushwick!!! Have fun discovering they have plenty and are never not interesting, funny and conversation starter. Snap pics, chat about an, get your cardio on... have a good time!

Yelp
I'm in love with that place!! I got photo shoottjete 2 times and I can say it was one of the best my shoots ever!! Great location, very bright and atmospheric with real "street spirit"!! Also there is bunch of places to have a lunch or just coffee and enjoy the street art which is everywhere. One of the places photographers and models have to visit !

Yelp
Braved the cold harsh February weather to see these gorgeous works of art and it was totally worth it! Truly inspirational stuff!!! By the end of my walk, I had the compelling urge to go home and paint my heart out.

Yelp
An amazing collection of street art murals covering pretty much every building wall across a few blocks here. The art is spectacular and varied but all very good. Very conveniently located too, close to the subway stop and all in a fairly small area. Very nice for photographing too. After exploring try some of the coffee shops, bars, and restaurants nearby.

Yelp
5 Pointz is no more, so we now have this. The tourists are starting to head over here too. You will see some good well-executed art on these walls. Good for filling up your Instagram feed when you have nothing better to take photos of. Anything's better than using those selfie sticks.

Yelp
I love street art and Bushwick Collective has an amazing number og giant pieces. I never get tired of walking the streets and appreciating the huge street art on the walls .its a geeat area to spend the afternoon and appreciate the authentic and sometimes controversial art.

Yelp
Incredible artwork and great industrial area worth spending an afternoon in. Right off the Jefferson Street L train stop. Gorgeous work like you've never seen before.
