The Butcher Block

I love this place! They always have a spectacular selection and I think they have more Kobe beef options than any other butcher in town. Their staff is always friendly and there’s typically never a long line. They can grind meat for you if you need something besides what’s in the meat case. I feed my cats a raw meat diet so I buy about 15 pounds of different meats and they grind everything up for me for no extra charge. Not having to grind it myself or risk contamination in my kitchen makes it possible for me to feed a raw diet so I’m very thankful for that easy and convenient option.

Looking to make a great decision for your family bbq? Take the guess work out of the equation and go with the butcher block. My extended family and I were on vacation hiking in the red rock canyon area. We got two tumbled (seasoned/marinated) chicken breast, two tumbled pork, and two choice rib steaks - all three were excellent! I just grilled them up on the propane grill at our resort. Nothing special about the prep - just buty, heat and enjoy. We had 5 start dining (at home) without the 5 star price which was important for our young family. I even called back and spoke with owner today about what I should be looking for at my local butcher and he was super helpful and informative! 10 stars and cheers from a fellow meat lover in Wisconsin!

5-30-21 No mask required! Nice! My wife had the steak burger with fries. I had the Barbeque pork sandwich with Sweet potatoe tots. Holy $h!zzl€! Amazing! I tried a few bites of the steak burger and it was excellent! The seasoned fries were awesome! My Barbecue Pulled Pork sandwich was out of this world awesome! The sweet potato tots were seriously great! We purchased some sausages and steak burgers to cook at home. They have a great selection of domestic and exotic meats! Dry rubs and sauces. Good selection of prepackaged frozen choices also! The service is great and everyone is helpful. Seriously check this place out! We will definitely be back soon!

Just moved to the area and found this gem. Cannot wait to try the Wagyu ripeness! Service was friendly and the smell of meat smoking was fantastic. Update: 5.20.2022. Still fantastic! Bring on the grill.

Every SINGLE time I come here it's a complete nightmare. You can spend 10-15 minutes trying to get an employees attention as dozens of people rush into the store and magically get helped before you. How hard is it to have people take a number, or maybe a sign that says ORDER HERE? I can spend my money elsewhere, not a problem.

Pastrami sandwich and sidewinder fries is where its at! Cheesesteak is pretty good too! Always a tasty meal here. A must try!

The butchery sells meat of superb qualities! Recommending the ribeye with bones ($20/lb). Definitely not overpriced, if one is considering comparable qualities.

I always get great meats and things here, the butcher is very nice he will cut you whatever kind of meat you want, today I got a 1 bone bone prime rib roast, and a piece of sushi grade king salmon, the salmon was amazing! The roast I seasoned myself, and ready to cook!

This place is amazing! The butchers are knowledgeable and friendly. The wild caught salmon was fresh off the boat. My hubby threw it on the grill and it was the best tasting salmon and so tender, it melted like butter. The meat is top tier, grass-fed with prime cuts made to order. A must-visit if you live and visit Vegas. This is their Rainbow location. I love this place. If you love to cook and want awesome quality of meat, this is the place to go. Not only are there great varieties from chicken, beef, etc... they also have different grades of meat and even beef jerky. The staff are also awesome and very very helpful every time I've visited here. I came here today for some beef bones and they had amazing ones in stock with so much marrow... they even ask you if you want it cut and sliced in half. Great folks! In addition, next door in the same building, they have their deli where you can order and eat food. I've yet to try it so this is definitely on my list for next time. Overall, this place is so awesome and it's always nice to see great high quality meats!!!

Mannnnn, this is the best dammmm pastrami in Las Vegas! I've been here several times, and I always get the same thing. This isn't that new no fat Pastrami.....Pastrami, should have some fat on it, to help with the juices! I opt'd for my coleslaw on the side, I usually put mustard on mine, but it came with some amazing sauce on it. The bread was soft, the pastrami was perfect. The coleslaw was fresh, I could take a tub of that home, I and the fries are so different, and so good! Service was great. And as I waited for my food, I did see some crackers, that I get in the little meat tray I by, and I've never seen the crackers anywhere else! I can see myself buying about 10 packs of them, they had a few different flavors, so I need to see what the flavors are before I start hoarding crackers! Yes, I will be back soon!

I am literally here every week! staff is so friendly. the selection of meat is on point! they have a lot of seasonings to buy. they also do deli sandwiches and have a great selection of seafood. i love their wagyu cuts for my steak burritos, and steak + eggs. 10/10 recommend

Saw this had some 4 to 5 stars so I decide to try it out . I was disappointed that I ordered the wagyu Burger and this was so over cook and the meat was dry , now I know wagyu meat you don't over cook also it took 20 minutes just for burger and fries . If this place is a meat market they should of at least ask how would like your meat to be cook med. med rare or well done sorry not going back

I stumbled upon this place by accident since I worked in the same plaza. I thought this was only a store with meat selection only, but I found out they sell & make the BEST sandwiches ever. The price is amazing for what you get. I went back three days in a row getting the same sandwich! They do NOT go light on the protein choice and I leave feeling so full. I always place a phone order to make it easier and quicker for the employees, but every time I come in they are so cool and quick about everything. If you want to eat there though, you can! They have tables and drink selections too for a quick lunch break. I will come back for the best sandwiches in Vegas! 10/10 experience on the food & service!

I am loving this place now. We do hot pot a lot and a good meat slicer is so expensive. Here, they will slice it for us. Not as thin as the normal shabu thin but it's good enough. We can get hormone free meat in thin slices. Perfect for us

A neighbor was moving out and I was gifted with wagyu pre made hamburger patties. Grilled them up on the Q. Less fat meat no shrinkage. No fat, but very dense, like a streak. Cooked medium. Call me ghetto, but I like a good greasy burger. Not wagyu.

Horrible experience! What an unorganized mess. It was a busy Saturday and there were probably 10 or more people in the store. The employees have no idea "who's next" as they call that out and neither do the customers. They are busy trying to figure out what they want to order. They need to have some kind of numbering system set in place. People aimlessly wondering around lost. The counter has so much product on it that I could not even see over it. A real mess. The employees are extremely rude as well. We walked out and will not be going back.

Food if always fresh. I like how they started separating the pieces of salmon. Guess feed ribeyes are my go-to. Always prime cuts. The shop is clean and well organized. Service is blah, the guys are normally friendly and willing to help. The younger blonde girl is very rude. She won't be attending to anyone and she'll look you dead in the eyes and walk to the back. She's done that multiple times. She could use a fresher on customer service. Would have given 4 stars but her attitude is just awful.

Hands down the best burger in Las Vegas! I've already texted all my friends raving about this burger, I know one thing for certain I'll be a regular! Great meats, cuts, service, and food! The steak burger is to die for and is slept on. When I'm not here for myself, I come to pick up cuts and bones for my dogs. Highly recommend.

We love the butchers block and always go there to get all different cuts of meat. They're very accommodating and get you exactly what you need. All the meat is great quality as well.

Came here on the 4th of July for some BBQ fun. Ended up getting some chicken hearts (frozen) Burgers (all beef) and T bone. Wow - the quality is the best in town I found so far.

I have to say the older I get I try to be more patient in regards to being greeted when I walk in. I just don't understand how I can come in a someone looks me in the face twice an not speak while being the only customer there. It was my first time in an my last. I had to say " helloooo" like I'm looking for someone. Although the lady was nice it was not welcoming at all having her see me an not speak. I didn't buy anything I came in for due to that I just couldn't settle the feeling I wasn't welcomed. The meat was fresh and the inside was very clean so that would be 4 stars had the customer service been up to par.

You want meat in your mouth? You're in the right spot. Been coming here at least once a month for years now. Try the American wagyu, Kurobuta pork chops and kalbi. My only regret is posting this review because I know this'll draw more attention to this spot and cause more of the things I get to become sold out so just forget everything I just said here and don't come here

Carne asada update 4/19/23. The Butcher Block marinates prime flatiron steak in a secret mix of herbs and spices. The flatiron, originating in the chuck primal (shoulder area), is better marbled and much more tender than the skirt or flank cuts typically used for carne asada. Only the tenderloin is more tender than the flatiron! This Flatiron had a quick sear over an oak fire followed by indirect smoke at 225 degrees. Excellent. It's an easy to cook choice for last minute guests that's sure to impress. (Search butcher block photos for flatiron carne asada.)

Service is awful. The female behind the counter is just rude. Meats are ok but I did encounter a piece gone bad mixed in with my "fresh meat."

By far, the best in town! Their consistent and varied selection is wide and always of the highest quality. They are extremely helpful and it's actually interesting and fun to check out what they've got every week or so.

Always a fan of the Butcher Block! Great quality meats, reasonable pricing and knowledgeable staff. Our favorites for the grill are their garlic herb chicken thighs. They have a wide variety of delicious sausages and cuts of steak and also plenty of seasonings and sauces to pair. They even reserve dry aged steaks for you in their fridges! The staff is very friendly and always gives tips on how to cook/season the meat. Highly recommend!

The customer was awesome, too bad they did not have what we are looking. But they were willing to help us find the right meat. Its kinda pricey but it worth it. They have a big selections of meat and also they have a deli! Next time we will try the deli for some good ol' subs.

They have legit sandwiches here. I usually just get a Turkey sub which sounds plain but it always hits the spot. Kind of pricey but good!

Save your pennies, er dollars, so you can indulge in high quality proteins here. Exquisite cuts beautifully prepared to take home with you! Wait! They also have home made jerkies, tons of seasonings, cheese, pickles, frozen items, condiments, beers, slices of Boar Head Brand meats ( NOT a head of Boar) and aged slabs of meat! Lots of parking. Friendly workers. Clean shop and restrooms.

Quick stop here for my boys .. best treat and entertainment, freeze marrow bones and re use them with can food or peanut butter next time. Very tempting to buy some cuts but no plans for cooking meats right now ‍. Best place for great choices of cuts, high quality for sure!

I've traveled all 50 states, I've had one of the better burgers that I've ever had at The Butcher Block yesterday.

As advertised, the BEST BBQ burgers any butcher has yet to produce, and the finest tumbled tri tip this side of the Mississippi. Adore, adore, adore! Fyi: the attached deli has the best sandwiches in Western LV.

I wanted to make Beef Wellington for the first time so I came here to get the best beef. The guy behind the counter (didn't catch his name but he had sort of a Chicago accent) was extremely nice and helpful. The beef turned out absolutely perfect. This is my second time going there and both times did not disappoint. It's a little pricey but well worth it.

TL;DR This butcher shop and staff are awesome. Go see them for quality and stuff you cannot find at grocery stores. I was on a quest to find Guanciale (cured pork cheek) to try some recipes I found online. I called around a few places and these folks are the only ones who carried it including The Butcher Block in Henderson. First time at this location and I was greeted by several staff . The store has a positive vibe and I was helped by an awesome fella named Sage. I told him I was gonna make pasta ala gricia which requires Guanciale. Some cheater recipes say you can substitute Guanciale with Prosciutto or even thick cut cured bacon. If that's all you can find in your area fine but get the real deal if you can find it. Anyway, I picked up 2lbs of Guanciale and made pasta ala gricia that night for my family. Sage, you asked me to tell you how it came out. It was amazing! I used the remaining Guanciale to make carbonara the following weekend and that was an even bigger hit. I'm gonna visit the Butcher Block in LV again very soon for more cured pork cheek and may pickup whatever cool meats they have to cook something fun.

Great butcher. Lots of great product. There are a few locations but this one is the biggest.

I love supporting small businesses, believe me. But the owner here is rude. But it doesn't end here. His prices are much higher than whole foods or Costco (by a wide margin). Some of his cuts are more than DOUBLE what you'll find at WF. I don't recommend this place. The owner feels he can raise prices as much as he likes to keep up with inflation. However, the largest corporations in the world are able to keep prices low. The only time I recommend this place is for convenience. If you live by there, or if you'd like a quick park, buy and leave experience (if you're in a hurry).

I went there off of a tictok review, and it did not disappoint. Don't let the outside or the meat counter full you. If you're on Rainbow and Warm Springs and craving a good burger, stop and get it from here. I ordered the steak burger with everything on it and a side of sweet potato tots..well worth the small wait, AND it's only $12. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but it was too good. Next time, though. Trust me, there will be a next time..

Helpful staff that provides ideas and answers all those questions you might have about cuts of meats, types of meats, how much you need for a party of 12, etc. So no need to be shy about anything you aren't sure of. They are quick so even if it looks like there is a line of people, service moves fast. There are a number of locations in Vegas but I've only been to the Rainbow location so let me know what you think about the other locations! It is a bit pricey so for me, it's for special occasions.

I have been wanting to check this location out for some time now. For the longest time, I didn't even even know they had a restaurant option. I only thought it was a meat deli to buy fresh meats. However, co-workers of mine corrected me on this and it instantly hit my list of places to try out. I ordered the Gourmet Steak Burger with fries (they also offer sweet potato tots as an alternative). The burger was absolutely terrific. The fries had that slightly better texture of pub fry crispiness. Everything came together perfectly. I definitely see myself coming back. I plan to try some of the bbq sandwiches.

A overpriced for grainfed meats. I asked if they had any grassfed and the guy obviously didn't know. He tried very poorly to pawn off a row of steaks as grassfinished even though it had no label. I don't think the guy even knew what he was doing maybe he was new. I'll stick with the grassfed steak at sprouts for a better price than this.

I can't say enough about the staff at this location. I'm always greeted with a friendly hello or an acknowledgement that someone by will be with me shortly. The quality of the meat is great and the staff is knowledgeable. The selection is the best in town and they can always order it if they don't have it. I always get the feeling they want my business. Having just made many sacrifices relocating to Las Vegas, I wanted to make sure my family had THE BEST St. Paddy's day after being separated for Christmas. To make that happen, any old store bought corned beef just wasn't gonna do it; thus my search for the ultimate corned beef began. The Butcher Block was at the top of my list in both my research and colleague's' recommendations; and it was close to home so I went there to see their selection. To my surprise, they had a TON of corned beef briskets available, I needed a big one and the butcher gave me a look like "man I hope we have one that big;" I asked for 7 pounds, sure enough, they had one on hand. I was overwhelmed with the amount of amazing options they had on site, from steaks to brats to chicken to seafood, you definitely got a lot to choose from and back up plans because they have everything. Ultimately, I braised that corned beef for 9 hours and it was the best damn corned beef I'd ever had, as it was for my family and company - even my pickyatarian ate it. It was AMAZING! Go in early March before they sell out. I've grilled out with their beer brats, the sausage pinwheel, the garlic chicken breasts, all turn out excellent. It is all so fresh, I will never buy chicken from the grocery store again, and the staff here, super friendly and will help you decide what you want based on what you're looking for and what your needs are. Super clean, super fresh, super tasty. They made a regular out of me.
