The Butcher Shop

Purchased $85+ of beef shanks, not bones, but shanks which typically are very meaty. Got about 6 pounds with zero meat, which translates into $35 of bone, which is not what one normally gets when buying beef shanks. Stopped by to see if they were willing to make it right, they were not, so won’t go back. I like to support local businesses, but not if I’m not getting what I paid for. I should have examined the bags more closely, but this has never happened with any other butcher. Check closely to be sure you’re buying what you are expecting.

Although this is not. Slicker they have many, many options for beef, and pork meats. Both cut to suit or the slab. They also have frozen meats, and breaded options. Better price and service than most places.

Hometown butcher shop, something you seldom get to experience. Custom cutting for no additional cost. Large variety of meat, VERY good prices! A large variety of other products also. A must visit if your in the area!

Been shopping here for over 15 years. Always has the friendliest of staff. Always helpful. Prices are reasonable.

Great place, very nice helpful staff. I wish I would have found this place years ago. I got a bunch great meat. 60 corn dogs less than 14 bucks! Name brand. Lots of good deals. If you have a limited food budget or just like to eat excellant meat, check it out. Dont go to the box store and pay twice as much for lower quality.

Love this place, closed most holidays including labor day but they're open

Went in on a Sunday at 3:25 PM, 35 minutes before they closed, and the butcher says to me as soon as I walk in that he’s shutting the equipment down and cleaning it in three minutes and so I better order quick, but then proceeds to do other things while the other butcher is helping another customer before me, and then breaks the equipment down before the customers before me were even finished and did not even allow me time to order what I needed and so I left and went to another butcher shop. Horrible customer service!!!!!! I will never return. It was absolutely disgusting in there anyways, with blood all over the coolers and meat packages, and all over the floor.

My second favorite place to shop locally for my groceries! I know when I shop here that I am supporting a business owner who wants to continue to have repeated customers! Well I tell you GOT MY BUSINESS!! I am so grateful for this local grocery meat shop here in Sioux City! I rather spend my money at locally owned grocery stores, & businesses who keep this city alive with vibrant local food options than that of big box grocery chains that hate us middle Americans who don't have the same values as their big box grocery store CEO's have!!

Great product, price and kind and helpful staff. Holiday time they had wonderful prices.

This is the place for great meat and great prices. I have them cut pork loin into chops for me. The hamburger is the best top quality selection.
