Alix Earle's Restaurant Guide to New Jersey

"Butcher’s Block is one of those special places where as the night goes on, the place turns into a party. It really is the best of both worlds! On the weekends, they have a DJ. It's not just a restaurant—it's a social scene as well. You’re always gonna run into someone you know. The waiter will take you to the fridge to show you all of their meat selections that day and recommend a few, but the best thing on the menu is their tomahawk steak. I don’t love to have steak unless its from The Butcher’s Block. And I always get a tequila soda to go with my dinner. It's just simple and refreshing." - brennan carley

The Butcher's Block is definitely one of best steakhouses and top restaurants, for that matter, to visit in all of New Jersey. The atmosphere and decor alone are out of this world and the porterhouse we had was amazing as well. We couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough, they even have a parrot at the front to greet you during check-in!

The food was amazing. There are no words to describe the amazing service and the delicious food. No one better come out saying they are hungry! The sides are delightful! The dessert is delicious. To our server thank you for being super attentive!

Google
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and amazing service. Our server, Patrick, was very kind and friendly. Dinner for two costs around $300–$400, including two margaritas, two mocktails, one appetizer, a steak dinner for two, and smashed potatoes. Totally worth it—100% the value. I’m especially picky with drinks, and they were a perfect 10/10.

We loved the Butcher’s Block so much we visited twice in a weekend - once for dinner on Friday and again for brunch Sunday before flying out. The outdoor garden was the perfect setting for pre dinner cocktails. The one thing we didn’t like was there’s no hostess stand, they were running like 45 minutes behind on reservations Friday night but that wasn’t communicated to us. So the hostess situation could use some work. But the servers themselves were outstanding. The Brussels - delish. Caesar salad - beautifully dressed. Steaks - cooked perfectly. Cocktails and wine - all lovely. Burger - YUM! We would’ve loved to have some eggs alongside the steak on Sunday but we ordered enough other stuff not to miss them. Def add this place to your list and bring your big appetite!

This place makes you feel like you transported to Europe if you ever have been. The all brick building it’s so cool and the inside is even better. Definitely a lot of upscale dining happens here. We came right after the beach all bummy but they were still so nice to us. Gotta eat their steak cuts. Just know it’s def on the pricey side for dining. But it’s worth it. Incredible !!!

My family of 4 (2 teens) had a great time here for dinner. I think it’s worth noting that we had a 5pm reservation on a Wednesday. The restaurant opens at 5 and we were the 2nd table to arrive. They have free valet parking onsite, although I did see people parking on the street. Ambiance, service, food…This place checks all of the boxes and I can easily understand why multiple people have said that this is their favorite restaurant. The ambience/layout of the restaurant is like no other that I have seen in this area. The majority of the restaurant is actually outdoors giving the feeling of a rustic patio in Tuscany. It was 80 degrees when we visited, but even in cooler temps there are fireplaces and overhead heaters. When I made my reservation, I requested to be seated outside. In reality, there are about 5-7 different areas (inside & outside) where you could sit. Even if you just want to come for drinks, there are multiple bars (2 outside). Really great vibe. I can imagine it’s even better at night. Service was 5-star, but not the usual high end wait staff. Servers were cool, laid back, relaxed and you felt like you were speaking with “Friends”. Our main server was very knowledgeable of the cocktails, food menu and specials. The Block’s menu is not on their website, so I’ve attached the summer 2025 edition. They change it 4 times a year (cocktail menu too). The food was very, very good! Portions were impressively large. Some of the highlights: - Halibut over lobster risotto - Brussels sprouts - Caesar salad - Spicy rig The food came out unbelievably fast. Like really really fast. Hot, fresh, flavorful. My wife immediately said “We ordered too much food.” For the first seating on a Wednesday night, I had no issue getting a reservation. Primetime on a Friday or Saturday is a completely different story. Because of this, they offer you the opportunity to make your next reservation while you are onsite. Great feature which keeps you coming back. The Block is a little pricey, but all things considered, it should be expected and the value is there. It’s a high end staple for the Jersey Shore and a quality steakhouse 4 blocks from the beach. You should absolutely go and my family be will be returning.

Google
My wife and I had dinner here for Valentines Day, and we enjoyed our time. The drinks had well-balanced flavors and they didn't skimp out on the amount of alcohol or glass size. We opted to try the Australian Wagyu steak for two and shared that with a wonderful array of sides. The service was pretty smooth and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was. We will definitely be coming back with friends to enjoy another phenomenal dinner.

The food at this establishment is amazing. We almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. The drinks were strong. Chandler our server was very attentive and made sure we were good. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Amazing place, great service and good food. When you enter this place you are transported elsewhere. Be warned though. This place is not cheap. Don't go unless you are ready to spend a lot of money. As a side note. - I will always support this place because of the owners stance during COVID. Still have my "Stay the F home hat" :-)

Yelp
Went here over the summer and went back two weeks ago as I remembered the steak was absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The drinks were to die for, expertly crafted and well-balanced... However, our experience was somewhat dampened by one server Liam who was noticeably short and crude in his responses. He seemed bothered by the few simple questions we asked, which made parts of the evening feel a bit uncomfortable even after we made a reservation and waited well past the time to be seated, I understand that everyone has off nights but for the prices of the restaurant we expected the server to be as warm and welcoming as the rest of the staff.

Yelp
Celebrated my fathers birthday, everything was on point and thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks to the team and look forward to our return!

Yelp
The Butcher's Block delivered one of the best dining experiences I've had. Sitting by the outdoor fireplace set the perfect ambiance, made even better by our server--down-to-earth, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. The unexpected highlight? 90s hip-hop playing throughout the night, a fun contrast to the polished, high-end menu. I splurged on a NY strip, spending more than I ever have on a steak, and it was worth every penny. The mocktail selection was equally impressive--I tried one with NA Prosecco, and it was to die for. Exceptional food, atmosphere, and service. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Upping arriving, we are repeatedly pushed out from the crowded vestibule as our table isn't ready yet. When I make a reservation, I expect it to be ready, at least close to the time I made but this place thinks their sh*t don't stink and they're above everyone so deal with and wait, I'm told. Just like the last time. I stand and wait thinking why did I come back here? Finally, 40 minutes after our reservation time, we are seated. It's so loud, that we can't even talk to each other. They've packed the tables so close together that everyone is bumping into each other as they get it and out of their seats. The wait staff slams into you as they pass by because of the lack of room between tables. Sardines in a tin can have more room. We get some drinks and order appetizers and entrees. Then arrives the salty, greasy food. All the vegetable sides are over salted and the Brussel sprouts are greasy as well. The pasta is more than al dente. Definitely needed another 2 minutes or so. The different steaks we ordered were good, but salty. Ok, I'll look beyond that and say they were cooked nicely. If your meat is that good, why over salt it?? Service was good. This place is always expensive for what you get and I never feel good about that when the bill comes. I feel ripped off. I can get a similar steak at any of the local, high end restaurants. I question why I keep giving this place a shot. The clientele is bleach blonde 20 and 30 something's who want to be seen and say that they've dined here. The loud rap music is out of place. People keep paying the prices and must think that they're cool and somebody special if they come here. One day they'll realize their money can go much further elsewhere. Remembering this experience and telling others about it. I won't be back.

Yelp
This restaurant should definitely be on your list if you live in NJ or are visiting. We live about 2 hours away but we came here last Friday to celebrate a birthday and it was totally worth the experience. The ambiance is gorgeous. The lights outside and decor makes the place feel so magical, I felt like I was back in Italy. The hostess was so friendly and organized, she was dealing with a tough customer but kept her cool the entire time, I was amazed. We had a reservation for 7:45, and they had us go to the bar to wait until our table was ready. It was a nice way to pass time since we didn't get seated until 8:20. The bread is something you HAVE to try and you will want to fill up on it but don't! there is so many good things to try. We ordered the porterhouse for 2, the Brussels sprouts , spicy rig, and au gratin potatoes . Everything was so delicious, there wasn't one thing I didn't like. The steak was cooked to perfection. We needed the night with their churro bowl and it was so yummy. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I've been wanting to go here for a while and was able to snag a reservation for my anniversary. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had the most magical atmosphere. We got drinks at the outdoor bar while we were waiting for our table. The outdoor spot had multiple heaters setup so it wasn't too cold. We headed inside once our table was ready. We ordered some steak and Brussels sprouts, both of which were exceptional. One of the best steaks I've had. Other than the food, the service was what made the night stand out. They even had a cocktail made that was on the menu based on what I was craving. Truly recommend coming here for a special night!!!

Yelp
Immediate first impression - the shear size and build of this place exudes bougie. The outdoor patio is beautiful with brick flooring, chandeliers on the ceilings every other foot, and rustic dining furniture. They decorated exceptionally well for the holidays. Service was excellent, our waiter was extremely knowledgeable of the specials and menu. We ordered what we wanted and he sent out the dishes staggered as he saw fit - in the best way. The staff worked together to clear our course plates and you get new plates and utensils with every course. As far as food. We got two salad Caesar and wedge, both classic but the Caesar has a nice touch of fried capers. Three pasta dishes were chosen the spicy rig, cacio e Pepe, and a special cavatelli with short rib. The spicy rig sauce was not it for me it tastes like vodka sauce with chili oil. The cacio e Pepe was subpar, the sauce was not good at all and it just tasted like peppercorn. The short rib cavatelli were good. We did two steaks ribeye for two and one of the wagyu cuts forget the name-- the steaks were phenomenal! Two sides potatoes au gratin and brussel sprouts which were regular sides nothing to write home about. The desserts were delectable! Definitely a must try whoever is the pasty chef is on point. Overall great atmosphere, service, and ambiance go for the steaks and desserts.

Yelp
One of my new favorites on the Jersey Shore! Butchers block in Long Branch is a phenomenal Italian Steakhouse definitely worth the hype! Came here for a double date night and we had such a fun time! The atmosphere is so moody and great for a night out. When we first arrived we got to have a drink in their outdoor patio which was decorated beautifully for Christmas and had a great vibe. I was quite literally OBSESSED with my espresso martini. One of the best I've ever had. After we finished our drinks we were brought to the Block Shop where they show you the different cuts of steak they have available for the evening! They also gave us a sample of a red pairing and some charcuterie that we were able to make a plate of to bring to our seat! The service was excellent, our server Brandon was so helpful when it came to navigating their extensive menu! Truthfully so many delicious choices. We did narrow it down to the ricotta squash bruschetta, meatballs, spicy vodka rigatoni, cacio e pepe and the rib eye. My favorites were the meatballs, cacio e Pepe and the rib eye but everything was truly so so good! I cannot wait to come back and try more menu items! Absolutely loved it! 11/10 would recommend! Try this spot out, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype. Our server was fantastic. Food was great, and the place itself is so cozy. We went Thanksgiving Eve so the Christmas decor was up (so cute!). I got the filet + Mac and cheese, my bf got the porterhouse + mushrooms and onions, his parents got the scallops and the rib eye. Everything was 10/10. Already booking another reservation for Jan to go with my friend!

Yelp
This place is an experience you need to at least try once. Would recommend going with a smaller group because it can get pricey. Food is great. I recommend bone marrow pizza if it's still on the menu. Drink menu is top notch with at least one cocktail made with egg whites (my fave!) service is great too, you'll find an employee in the bathroom to give hand towels which is always an interesting surprise lol.

Yelp
Amazing and good quality food. The service was impeccable. Our water was super friendly and helpful with all of our requests. Super detailed in explaining the menu and understanding what we like. The ambiance is definitely a high end Jersey shore vibes.

Yelp
Delicious!! Definitely recommend!! Their menu is overwhelming perfect in selection! Their steaks are BIG, and yes pricey BUT oh so tasty (PorterHouse is mouth watering!!) !! Their sides are also potent in delicious flavors (mashed and Brussels are on point!). The drinks were great as well, good selection and pretty strong :) We had reservations and were sat down right away, quick and friendly service from the hostess and waiters. Great recommendations from our waiter (unfortunately forgot his name). Its is a dim lit environment and pretty noisy I must say! But beautiful for a dinner date and/or group dinner in celebration with friends / family!

Yelp
This place is an experience. I am not a meat eater, and I still very much enjoyed our visit here. First they take you to a room with all the cuts of meat and an explanation of each. Then you are escorted to your table. Ambiance is intimate and nice. Drinks are expertly made, I thoroughly enjoyed the truffle olive martini (Dirty Freaky Nasty). The complimentary bread is a garlic focaccia and oh so good. Our server was knowledgable and helpful. He provided great recommendations. For appetizers we had the whipped ricotta - this was incredible. We devoured it. I had the Halibut which was cooked well and tasty. He had the rib eye, which he said was amazing. We also had the brussel sprouts, which are interestingly made with Cap'n Crunch. It sounded so unusual and was recommended by our server, so we had to try it and we were glad we did. Really interesting flavor profile. We didn't think we had any room for dessert, but once our server told us about the Tres Leches, we had to try it and it was so delicious. Definitely book a reservation, even off season it was busy. They also offer Valet parking. Food tips: whipped ricotta Drink tips: Dirty Freaky Nasty

Yelp
I love a restaurant that can provide excellent food and top flight hospitality. The Block always hits those marks. But I did not anticipate what a memorable experience Butcher's Block would create when I decided to celebrate my 40th and host some of the most special people in my life from across the Tri-state area. I can only imagine how much time, effort and investment it takes to create that experience.

Yelp
Best steakhouse we have ever been too! Pricey, but worth every penny !! The food was 10/10 and same with the service and ambience! My husband said it was the best steak he ever had. I had the spicy vodka rigatoni and it was amazing and the churro dessert is to die for! We can't wait to come back! Also, the cocktails are amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
The Butcher's Block is an exceptional restaurant. We requested to be seated in the main dining room, and although we had to wait an extra 45 minutes, they accommodated all our requests. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the Kansas City Wagyu for two, which was one of the best steaks I've ever had and one of the best steaks they sell. We also started with the steak tartare and Caesar salad, both of which were excellent. Every aspect of this meal was incredible, and I cannot recommend this place enough. The restaurant has a dim, intimate atmosphere, perfect for a Saturday night out. There's also a bar where you can enjoy drinks before being seated.

Yelp
Everything here is amazing. The decor is beautiful and unique. My daughter and I sat outside and it was 40 degrees out. We were definitely warm enough with all the heaters they had. Service was excellent. Our server suggested a great meal for us and the food came out in just the right amount of time not too long to where we were waiting but just long enough for us to enjoy the evening. I have eaten at many high end steakhouses and there is literally no comparison. This was the best steak I have ever had. The desert was also amazing. We shared a banana fosters. Also about the best I ever had and to cap off the night a chocolate martini. I was worried we wouldn't be allowed in because I made our reservation from the Giants game and we showed up in Giants jerseys. The restaurant was actually very welcoming. Sadly the Giants didn't do so well and it was my daughter's first game but dinner we had saved the day! We drove more than an hour out of our way to get here and it was well worth it! 10 stars !!!

Yelp
Absolute Gem! Fine dining at its best! Ambiance was awesome! Service was TOP NOTCH EXCELLENCE! Ask for John & Jimmy! They were so professional and simply outstanding service! Introductions made us feel welcomed and they both demonstrated great knowledge of menu and restaurant history. Wonderful experience and can't wait to go back! FYI Let John pick his recommendations for courses! Thank you again guys!

Yelp
It took us months to get a weekend reservation, even for a Sunday at 5 pm, but it was so worth it. All I can say is wow. We had a double date night with another couple and this place was perfect. It was decorated beautifully for the fall outside and had heated seating outdoors as well. Indoors was dimly lit, but very lively. From the moment we sat down our server Kevin and his helper Roman waited on us and didn't skip a beat. We got the tour of the butcher room and an explanation of all the cuts of beef offered. It helped us greatly when ordering. The menu is all a la carte and definitely pricier than other steak houses, but this is a whole experience. The servers make you feel like you're the only one there even though the place is packed. We ordered: - Porterhouse for 2 - Aged Porterhouse for 2 - Brussel sprouts topped with Captain Crunch -broccoli rabe -spicy gnocchi - churro with dulce de leche gelato -tres leches cake with biscotti and chocolate -espresso, cappuccino, cafe americano -cocktails I'm looking forward to dining here again!

Yelp
A great steak house with very friendly staff. Everyone was so welcoming and gave the best recommendations for food and drinks. Very picturesque with great photo spots. Such a cute location, great for date night!

Yelp
Overrate overpriced rude employees parking sucks had better steaks from ShopRite on my own grill

Yelp
I hope the owner recognizes this review. Our server John, what an asset to the operation of the Block!! First time there, exceeded all expectations. If you have a bad experience here, STAY THE FCK HOME

Yelp
4.5 stars for a steak house that checks all the boxes for a great experience. *We had the spicy bolognese pasta, charbroiled oysters, Caesar salad, broiled brussel sprouts, and the salmon crudo for our sides. -- All our side dishes shone except for the salmon crudo. The Caesar salad has enough twang and bite, the Brussels spouts was perfectly charred and mixed in with a sweet and sour sauce topped with Capn Crunch cereal (believe me, for some reason it works). Our oysters were topped with butter and Parmesan, and the flavors were all there- would've loved to see more for the price and size of the oysters ($28 for 6) . The salmon crudo was lacking in flavor and was resting on a bed of thick cream sauce instead of a tart base. * For our steaks, we had the 45 day aged rib eye, and the Spinalis. -- our steaks were perfectly cooked to a medium rare, and the aged rib eye was cut and broiled well. For the price though I thought it could've had more oomph and seasoned like the likes of Peter Luger and the other solid steak establishments. The sizing was not as big as the price would demand, but overall it was a good steak. The Spinalis was expectedly tender. We had to ask for a side of salt for our steaks. * For drinks, we had the IPA, and 2 cocktails: one with spicy pear and one with yuzu. They are both regulars on their drinks menu, and they were both GREAT. * For dessert, we had the S'mores with Dulce de leche ice cream topped with a thick chocolate shell - superb! Ambience is cozy, romantic and upbeat depending on where you sit. They have the brick and chandelier thing going on which I love. They keep the lighting low and warm. Yet it doesn't effuse a study vibe, still casual and fun. valet parking for dinner and park your own for lunch. Reservations highly recommended.

Yelp
Service and food was amazing! Staff gave us a tour of the room with all the meat on display and walked us through the difference between the various steaks they have. Spicy rigatoni was delicious too.

Yelp
Butcher's Block is infamous for their difficult weekend reservations. We had to book 3 months in advance to make a lunch reservation for my husband's birthday in January. Better luck getting a dinner slot during the weekday. If it's your first visit, you are invited to receive a short introduction about their different steak cuts from their fridge display. They also have an in house store where you can buy cuts to bring home for your personal cooking. We had their 2.9 oz wagyu porter house steak for $249. Your cut will be brought out to you prior to cooking to make sure you're okay with the price before proceeding. It's expensive but you do get a very thick cut. Had it cooked medium rare but the surface looked over burned. Steak was simply seasoned and overall a good quality steak. We brought 1/3 of the steak home as left overs. I think the funny part is the appetizers were more memorable for me than the steak itself. Appetizer recs: +Crispy potatoes - seasoned with duck fat and rosemary, truly the best carbs to pair with your steak. $18 +Brussels sprouts - THE BEST brussels sprouts ever. They had both a sweet and savory element to them topped with captain crunch cereal. A unique dish you can't miss. $22 Cocktails were $20 $$$ For such a pricey establishment, I was expecting top notch service. Service was surprisingly average, nothing notable for a nice steak house. Their outdoor seating is beautiful with the live fireplace going. Indoor dining is dimly lit with romantic vibes. A good place for date night or to celebrate a special occasion.

Yelp
Cannot speak highly enough regarding the butchers block. Every aspect is top tier. The service we had was unforgettable with every entree and recommendation given in descriptive detail. The atmosphere is great, the place is spacious & clean. The food was incredible from the spicy pasta we ordered as an app, the to the perfectly cooked/seasoned steak for two. We will definitely be back, and I would highly recommend the butchers block!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Worth every penny. Steaks were perfect and so were the cocktails. Definitely worth getting a reservation!

Yelp
Top tier service! I got up to find the restroom and a nice man stopped what he was doing and showed me the way to the bathroom. The porterhouse we ordered was great. Expensive of course but I figured i'd be spending a lot coming in. The potatoes weren't great, my boyfriend liked them but I wasn't a huge fan. When we first we were about 20 minutes early for our reservations but they were able to take us early. Our waiter escorted us to the meat shop to show us the cuts and encouraged us to make ourselves a plate of breads and foods that were recently freshly made. The man behind the counter was very friendly and recommended his favorite food as well as our waiter did. The ambience was also awesome. So many lights. A great date night if you've got money of course lol. The mozzarella en coroza was also delicious!

Yelp
What to say what to say? The Butcher's Block was one of my favorite, if not my favorite steak house experience. From the customer service to the details of the meat, the owners do a great job of making sure the patrons are fully a part of their food experience. I was nervous because there were a couple of reviews here that were a little shaky, but thankfully, I had an amazing time. The steaks were explained to the tea, the antipasto at the butchers area were a nice complement to the dinner, and the food was delicious. I have to be honest, this wasn't the best steak I've had( I really wanted it to be hot and pack more flavor when it was served) but the experience and service made it special. The churro bowl was also A M A Z I N G. Who knew a steak house would serve a 10000/10 dessert?!? It's expensive, so if you're thinking of going, be prepared to drop $$$$ but I'm sire you will leave satisfied!
google avatar

Joanna K.

Yelp
Great food and service here! You might have to wait a bit even with a reservation, but it's totally worth it. You can tell they put a lot of love into this place. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but a quick look online can help you see if it's your style. I've been here twice, and both times were awesome.

Yelp
This restaurant is a whole experience. From the decor, friendly service, amazing drinks and of course the steak...all exceeded my expectations. Our server Dante was amazing. Always came by to check on us. The runners always made sure our waters were always full. The cob salad, just get it, you will not be disappointed. My husband was happy with his filet mignon and for was in heaven with my porterhouse. You cannot call this place to make a reservation, you have to reserve on their website. Tables go quick. Last Sunday our server said they were expectnot by around 700 guests for the day. Just go, you won't be disaapointed.

Yelp
Such an amazing experience at the butchers block. We got lucky and got a reservation on a Sunday @ 7:00 last minute. We got to the restaurant and explored all the different areas and bars. We landed at the meat counter where they offered complimentary meat, cheese and wine. We were talking to the guy behind the counter and then uncovered he was the owner! He was so down to earth and friendly. He gave great recommendations and took great care of us. Everything was exceptional from the bread, to the Cesar salad, to the porter house, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese. And don't event think about ending your night before you have tried the churro bowl!. Pat was our server he was wonderful. Can't wait to return. It's seriously worth the wait. There is nothing like it, such a gem.

Yelp
A spectacular location, absolutely perfect for any type of celebration or dinner with friends. The food was outstanding, we had wonderful appetizers and each couple shared the porterhouse for 2. The wine selection was excellent, and we have two wonderful bottles of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cornelia Constanza 2021. A perfect experience from start to finish.

Yelp
Best steaks in Monmouth County! I've been going since they opened with a couple tables and it's been great to see the continued success and development of the restaurant. A lot of original crew still together, and their pride shows through in an amazing experience. The food has consistently been excellent, and the ambience is energetic. Can get a little bit loud in the evenings and not the best to necessarily the best place to take the kids, but I'm great night out with friends. The wagu Spinalis steak is the best I have ever had, and definitely try the brussels sprouts as well!
google avatar

Francesco M.

Yelp
I hardly write reviews and I've been here plenty of times but I just want to share how great of an experience we had last night. Our server, Steph was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and went out of her way to interact with our kids. Food was excellent as usual. Will be back again!

Yelp
There are just so many good things to say, I don't know where to start! Butcher's Block was such an experience, unlike any other. To start, my party and I were brought into a room where we were thoroughly told about every one of their meat cuts. We spent about 5-10 minutes and though it might sound funny, being told about different cuts of meat for 10 minutes, I found it very helpful and it allowed me to pick the steak I wanted much quicker! To start, we chose to try the ricotta and steak tartare. The ricotta was creamy and full of flavor; however I'm not a HUGE ricotta fan so I focused more on the steak tartare; which did not disappoint :) For our main course we had a porterhouse steak cooked medium rare with a side of mac & cheese. The steak was definitely one of the best, maybe top 3 steaks, I've tried thus far. It was cooked so well and just as we ordered. The Mac & cheese was a great touch as we wanted a different flavor in our palette. And of course, to satisfy our sweet tooth, we just had to order dessert. Even tho we were STUFFED we just had to try their dessert as they had a good set of options. I loved the environment of the restaurant as it was just loud enough where we could hear each other but not our neighboring tables. Our waiter was so helpful when choosing our steaks and sharing his personal favorites when it came to appetizers. I will definitely be returning in the near future!

Yelp
Second time at the Butcher Block and this place just doesn't disappoint. Service is just on point. Our waiter Patrick is the man. Knows his beef. Drinks were on point. Spicy rigatoni was amazing, again. We had the ribeye this time and it was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is a lively ambiance yet we still felt like we had a romantic dinner for two. They are expanding and will soon have an outside patio. Definitely a must if you're in the area.

Yelp
First time dining at the Butchers Block last night and it was a great experience. I recommend a reservation for sure and not sure you can get in without one. Wednesday night was super busy. Good date spot When you walk in they bring you to a room with an assortment of meat. We got the porterhouse for two and it was plenty Very tender

Yelp
Excellent food, service and great ambiance but it's a noisy party down place, not a stuffy steak house, so expect family friendly and kids welcome. Great from start to finish. Highly recommend the Caesar (though I'd skip capers but that just me) and it's massive, so are the sides, and the starters are surprisingly delicious. It's really not all about the steak but the steaks are fabulous!!!

Yelp
The flavors were truly exceptional! Some bites were a bit saltier than others, but it balanced out nicely. The portions are very shareable for two, and the food is both hearty and delicious--you'll definitely feel satisfied afterward. This was a fantastic experience; the staff was incredibly kind, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. While some say it's pricey, I found the prices to be quite reasonable. The crispy potatoes were perfectly crunchy and rich from the duck fat, and the Brussels sprouts were both crunchy and flavorful. The steak was tender with every bite. My favorite part, besides my boyfriend, was the ice cream, which our server recommended--it was fantastic and paired perfectly with the churro bowl. This is definitely a must-try!

Yelp
Only bad part of this place is having an attendant in the men's bathroom. Very weird.

Yelp
Dining here was a wonderful experience! We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7:30 reservation and were seated before our appointed time. Our waiter - JT - and his assistant - JJ - made the experience even more special as we were celebrating a birthday. JT explained the menu, answered questions, made suggestions and we never felt rushed. The food was exceptional and cooked to the requested temperature. We highly recommend a trip to The Butcher's Block and for your convenience - reservations can be made online. Enjoy!

Yelp
Food from here was amazing! Everything was exceptional quality. The staff were awesome as well and very informative of the food. Everything tasted 10/10. The ambiance was nice but it was a little loud. We sat outside and felt cozy and warm for a winter night. Drinks were also delicious. This is an expensive dinner but the staff makes it an experience which was nice.

Yelp
Best steakhouse in the area!!! I mean absolutely AMAZING! They are a legit butcher shop as well as an amazing restaurant! Came here with the hubby and our waiter Tay and his helper Oscar were TOP NOTCH! Oscar needs to be a waiter not just a helper! He was absolutely amazing! Everything about this night was superb! They even give you a little tour of the butcher station showing & explaining all of the cuts of steak. The drinks, desserts, side dishes OMG! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Steak was cooked as requested and turned out great. Cesar salad was great to share as well as the spicy rigatoni and the cacio e pepe. Service was good despite waiting about an hour to be seated after our reservation time. There is inside and outside seating all year, depending how busy it is you might not have the ability to sit inside. The inside of the restaurant is nice.

Yelp
I wanted to hate this place since I knew it's the "in" place to be but damn the food was stellar. Porterhouse was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The side dishes while limited and super pricy were pretty good. The sleeper dish which I ordered as a "side" was the cheesesteak. Bread, meat, cheese and hot peppers all worked and had the perfect ratio. Our server was great being it was my first time and place can be a little intimidating being it's so big with tons of rooms and menu is a little non explanatory. Can't wait to book another resy.

Yelp
The most all around delicious meal I've ever had. Patrick, our server was so attentive and helped us decide what to get. Such a beautiful experience! We will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Steak is def aged well and tender but no steak, in my opinion, is worth almost $300. I've gotten dry aged beef from a butcher in Brooklyn, who also supplies to restaurants, and their strip on the porterhouse was just as good as what I had tonight.
