Best Restaurants in Berkeley | Eater SF

"As one of the East Bay’s premier practitioners of the art of plant-based faux meat, the Butcher’s Son has built up a huge following for its lineup of “meaty” sandwiches — takes on everything from a classic chopped cheese to a Reuben to chicken parm, all made with faux meat products developed and produced in-house. There are some gluten-free dishes available on the menu, and the weekend brunch is also popular with diners." - Dianne de Guzman

The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Downtown Berkeley | Eater SF

"Probably the most popular vegan restaurant in the Bay Area, The Butcher’s Son makes its own faux-meats and cheeses for its loaded deli sandwiches, from buffalo bacon ranch fried chicken to hot roast beef with French onion dip. Brunch draws big crowds, too, and the restaurant also stocks a small market area so folks can make their own vegan creations at home." - Janelle Bitker

Google
Great place for dinner or a date night with that someone special. The she crab soup eas pretty good as well as the seafood nachos. The protein to chip ratio could use some work. The French Dip was also cooked well. Service was outstanding and ambiance while a bit dark for my liking did seem to fit the mood.

We went here for Valentine’s Day and it was great. Loved the environment, the waitress was very friendly, the food came surprisingly fast despite how busy they were, and the food tasted phenomenal. They also gave out free samples to everyone who waited for their tables which was nice. I will definitely be returning!

Google
First time here and everything was amazing. The steaks were very good. We’ve eaten at different steak places around the country and this one is up with the best of them. The service was great, Lindsay was phenomenal.

Google
Had extremely high hopes due to name and reputation we had reservations, so seating was not a big deal the likely the very best part of it all i had crab cake.My significant had some type of prime rib we had crab dip as an appetizer and oysters Rockefeller some of our sides were risotto mashed potatoes and asparagus it was all just a solid three the waitress gave us the wrong ticket at first until we noticed that we didn't order any oatmeal cookies and other things that we personally would never have ordered plus that bill was a little bit over $200. for just the two of us, ours was not that far behind we drank water parking was great. The bathroom was clean perhaps we will try the virginia beach location in the far future.

Google
A restaurant with great ambiance and delicious food. We booked in advance and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The steaks are amazing! I had the fillet mignon and some salad that had 1/4 cut lettuce with bacon & blue cheese. It was amazing. We also tried some of the spring rolls and they were also delicious. I would recommend them any day

Google
Service was super fast and every dish was great! We got the pork belly for an appetizer and it was so good! Lamb chops were also a hit.

Google
My wife surprised me with a birthday dinner at The Butchers Son Chop House. The vibe there was super chill. They had some smooth jazz playing in the background and an old black and white TV show on. The service was top-notch. We started off with some French dip spring rolls as an appetizer, and let me tell you, they were delicious. The Caramelized Onions, Cheese, Jalapeno Bacon Jam that came with them was out of this world! It had a little kick to it, but it was so good. For my main course, I went with the 12oz ribeye cooked medium, loaded mashed potatoes, and cucumber salad. The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were the perfect side, and the cucumber salad added a nice touch of freshness. We finished off the meal with a blueberry cobbler a la mode for dessert. It was a huge portion, but we managed to finish it all. I can't wait to go back again.

Celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here. Food was good, but didn't POP how I was hoping. Our waiter Preston was on point. The Atmosphere was nice.

Yelp
Integrity always tastes better!!! Thank you The Butcher's Son!! Love everything the story stands for. So proud to see the usage of local produce, the highest quality of beef, the personalization of reservation cards, and impeccable service!!!

Yelp
We recently had dinner at The Butcher's Son located on South Battlefield Boulevard in the heart of Great Bridge in Chesapeake. They have a fantastic Happy Hour menu and I opted for the Cheeseburger. It was cooked perfectly and it was very tasty. The staff is fantastic here and the food aside, they are reason enough to come back again and again...

Yelp
I had dinner here this past weekend with my dad, it was my fourth visit, and each time has been a great experience. The service is always incredible, and the food is consistently delicious. This time, my steak was slightly dry, but it still had great flavor, it could have even been me; maybe I was just a little off. The ambiance of the restaurant is one of my favorite parts, it's warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing meal. And the crème brûlée was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Yelp
We had reservations for dinner on Father's Day. I wasn't the one who made them, so we were a bit surprised that it was only buffet for the night. Great buffet dinner though! They had prime rib, sirloin, pork loin, mac and cheese, salmon, green beans, shrimp, oysters, salad, assorted desserts. Everything was great. The service was even better! Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
Food was nothing short of amazing! Everything came out in such perfect timing from the appetizers. The staff was super helpful and insanely welcoming! I personally ordered the Brian's Classic which was a delicious assortment of Surf & Turf with a perfectly baked potato and salad topped with just the right amount of toppings.

Yelp
Came for dinner with family on a Sunday evening so it wasn't crowded. Started with the French dip roll and calamari, the rolls were very tasty but the calamari was dry and less great. The portion size was less than expected. For dinner, I had the ribeye med rare and hubby had the filet special. Steaks were all cooked as ordered. Others had the sirloin and the steak pasta. Everyone enjoy their meal except for the person who ordered the French dip sandwich they said it was too salty and couldn't finish it. All in all good visit with good service.

Yelp
The atmosphere was good and the bartender wasn't bad. It was the food. The food was so bad. I wouldn't really care, if they didn't charge astronomical prices. I had the spinach & tomato risotto. Which tasted like air. The price of that was alright. The thing that really got us was the oysters. They charged us $4 an oyster. For an oyster the size of a dime. (Pictured) All I'm saying is, if you have your menu priced like a fine dining restaurant, you should have fine dining food, and not crap.

Yelp
Over all the experience was good. The service was lovely. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The interior is an updated steakhouse. It is definelty one of the nicer looking spots in the area. My cocktail was great, I got the seasonal strawberry picnic. Others at the table got different drinks to mixed reviews. The seasonal cocktails and bourbon drinks seemed to be hits at the table. Others not so much. The food did not shine. Nothing was horrible but nothing stood out as being absolutely amazing either, with the exception of the dinner rolls which I could eat them for every meal of the rest of my life. For the area it was an overall good experience.

Yelp
CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE! Our steak was ordered medium and caME out rare as can be! Sent back and returned still rare. We were going to an event so we didn't have time to sit and wait for it to be redone AGAIN. It was also a summer day and they suggested we take it home and cook it ourself! They charged us for the entire meal both of them even when I didn't touch my plate but ONE bite bc I was waiting for my fiance to get his food to eat together. (I think they gave some discount but a discount on food that wasn't touched is mind boggling) They refused to comp the meals they clearly messed up and the customer service was horrible telling someone to take it home and cook it is insane at $70 a steak! We woulda paid for the Mac n cheese he took 3 bites of ( which had no flavor I used the salt of the rolls to salt it) but they didn't offer to comp even though our plates we clearly not touched and I was clearly frustrated. As anyone paying over $200 for food they didn't touch would be Diabolical to treat guest in such a way NEVER AGAIN GO TO ABERDEEN THEY ARE AMAZING STAFF AND FOOD AND NEVER ONCE HAD A PROBLEM DONT WASTE UR MONEY HERE THEY CLEARLY DONT VALUE OR CARE FOR CUSTOMERS TIME MONEY OR EVEN REVIEWS (Yelp or Google) WARNING SAVE UR MONEY

Yelp
First time here. The wait staff (Erica) was superb. She made me feel special, even though I was only a party of two. The food was was. Dry food and well prepared. The atmosphere is perfect for the name. Coastal. Love this place.

Yelp
Wow I have to say this was a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday! The food was absolutely delicious the steaks were so tinder and full of flavor! My family and I were highly impressed with the overall beauty of the restaurant and how amazing all of our dishes were! The service is great the host are very attentive to our table and there is not much on the menu that I would not want to try. The ambiance is fun and energetic and you will have a great time coming to the Butchers Son! The steaks alone will make you want to come back each time!

Yelp
Food was delicious. I didn't take a photo of the dessert, but the crème brûlée & bread pudding was PHENOMENAL. The server went above & beyond for us as well. Highly recommend!

Yelp
On a Wednesday night (party of six) the bar service was very good, a server is quick to the table and speedy w/ the drinks. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails and beers. I will also say the Tonic water is top-notch; tasty w/ lime for us teetotalers. Appetizers came out fast and hot. It was the meal service that went off the rails - the kitchen put our waitress in a tough spot. The entrees came out sporadically. Two served, followed by a 6-7 minute wait while some of us had food and some of us didn't. By the point everyone was served, the entrees arriving first had gone cold. Now part of that was down to manners - not eating until everyone had been served. The two very cold entrees were refired but that made the wait even longer for the rest of us. That's on the kitchen of course. Here's the main thing - the food is good, but not worthy of the prices charged. Example: $65 for 16oz prime rib that was closer to 12oz. No horse radish, but the au jus was fine and the beef was cooked very nicely to temperature. The sides were middling. I understand that the kitchen can have a rough night, no shows and the like, but it would have been nice had a manager stopped by the table and explained. The ambiance is family friendly.

Yelp
1st of all our server Nick was amazing! My boyfriend got the shrimp cocktail and crabcakes dinner with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I got the house salade, she crab soup and the prime rib eggrolls. Everything was delicious At 1 point I wasn't a fan of the music but that's a small thing and Nick's awesome service and the great food made up for that. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
We were really excited about this for my birthday. I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye ($75) medium-rare. But it came out completely raw in the center. They took it back and it returned all mushy and was destroyed. The Manager was upset by this, comped us and we left hungry. This is the second time as well.

Yelp
Went there for Father's Day brunch buffet . The food at the buffet wasn't ready. When they brought the food for the buffet, it was barely warm. It seemed as though they prepared everything the night before and ran out of time to reheat it but brought it out anyways as people were seated with food not out on buffet. Option were extremely limited for kids . We ended up having to pay $50 for our son to eat at the buffet and then had to order a separate complete $20 meal for him. We were charged for both. It was extremely expensive for what was offered and very disappointing as mostly everything was Luke warm at best . Cost of breakfast for two adults and a 13 years old with 20 percent tip was $268 .

Kai L.

Yelp
We were very disappointed with the food. We ordered for pick up. Steak bites were over cook like hard & burnt. I paid extra for a loaded baked potato, only received butter. Will not be going back. .

Yelp
I dare say that this location is better than the Hilltop location! The service was what really set it apart. Our server was so attentive and friendly! She offered drink suggestions and everything went perfectly smooth. The food was amazing - I got the tenderloin and crab cake special they were running. I also enjoyed two well-made cosmos. The crab dip and calamari was delicious. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Excellent meal! We stopped based on a Yelp recommendation while traveling home to Richmond, VA. The restaurant did not disappoint. The service was amazing and the food was just as impressive. The garlic dinner rolls were soft and delicious with a hint of salt and a chili pepper surprise. The pastas were both generous and tasty! Neither pasta skimmed on the meat and were perfectly seasoned and well balanced.

Yelp
Went here for my husband's birthday. Great customer service. Food came out fast! Husband didn't like the cucumber salad and I've had better lamb chops. Probably won't order that again the next time we come. Overall, the food, ambience, and service was good. Definitely worth coming back.

Yelp
5 stars as usual! Party of 4, 6:30 on a Thursday. Parking is always horrendous, but you just have to accept that and allow more time. Server Emily is the BEST, and we were thrilled to see her tonight, for a great dinner with old friends who recently moved back to the US after a couple years in Japan (military). * See my other reviews for more.

Yelp
Took my wife out tonight for her birthday and we both came away very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The food was very good as well. My only drawback was that my baked potato was slightly undercooked. Our waitress Gabby was amazing this evening. She crab soup, french dip spring rolls, prime rib and dinner rolls were top notch. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
My husband and I can't deny the claims anymore... it's true. We love TBS! From the yummy pork appetizers, wedge salad and their oysters Rockefeller... are go to's as soon as we walk in. We are always greeted with such a sweet staff and whether we're doing a date night or for a drink drink on the weekend, it's always a win win. Every time we've came to TBS we've tried a new dish every time.. we have yet to try something we don't like

Yelp
Butchers son is a Chesapeake favorite. This restaurant broke the seal on fine dining in Chesapeake. I love the decor and the atmosphere is very energetic. The wait staff is always attentive. I love their menu choices and their steaks don't disappoint. For those that don't like red meat they have other options that are tasty as well. Of special note the Sunday brunch is a must experience, I can't think of a better brunch spot in Chesapeake. I love their cocktails and wine list. The restaurant is larger and on the weekends it can be very busy so a reservation is recommended. Because of the larger crowds it can be louder as well making conversation a challenge sometimes. This is my only con otherwise I would have given it a 5 star.
google avatar

Kade M.

Yelp
Great local chop house tucked in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake. They have your standard cuts of steak (multiple sizes of each), seafood, and chef specialty dishes, including the pictured chicken, prosciutto and tomato plate. The spinach risotto was the star, and my wife's steak was cooked to perfection (lame vegan style due to dietary constraints for the baby, but they still nailed it). The sides are reasonably priced, which is a nice feature considering the quality and size of the portions. Great for a date night, family dinner, to grab a drink at the bar, or any time you want quality food and a classy establishment.
google avatar

Younive L.

Yelp
First time went there and very disappointed, My steak was okay and the asparagus were too soft and the risotto was really bad, It was undercooked and they gave me the new risotto to try again and it was undercooked too, I guess my expectation was high because it says this restaurant is a fancy restaurant but the food was very disappointing So absolutely not worth of the price

Yelp
It's not often that I patronize The Butcher's Son but during the visit at the Battlefield Blvd location, I find it better than the Hill Top location. The rib eye was cooked as ordered. Very tender - served with au jus, horse radish, and baked potato. Yummmm!!!!!!! Love the dining area, clean and nicely spaced. Service is quick and staff are very attentive. From the very first encounter at the reception area all the way to walking out after a very healthy meal. Another go to place for me for tender, juicy beef:-)))

Yelp
I've been here twice now. Once on my own at the bar where you can still order from the full menu. I had scallops and they were pretty good. Didn't knock my socks off but not bad. I returned with my husband and daughter and both didn't love the darkness of the room or the vibe. It didn't bother me and I didn't really notice any bad "vibe" but they didn't love it. I was disappointed this trip though, with the food. I was really in the mood for a good steak but nothing big. So I ordered the 6 oz sirloin with Brussels sprouts and asparagus. Also the she crab soup again. This time it arrived with a generous lump of crab. I will say their she crab soup is fantastic! I love the strong sherry taste too! So it's a winner for me. However, the sirloin was extremely salty. Edible, but I'm a salt lover and this was too salty. Their Brussels sprouts were great. The asparagus were so thin however, I think combined, they'd have equaled maybe 3-4 normal asparagus. Don't get me wrong; I love thin asparagus, but these were so thin there was nothing for a fork tine to grab hold of. Worse, they clearly did not snap off the tough ends. They were so tough and fibrous, I had to spit out the ones I initially put in my mouth. There was no way I would be able to chew that fiber down. So while I want to love this place (friends of ours rave about it), I just have an issue with the dishes and how they're cooked. But the she crab soup, yes, I'd come just for that.
google avatar

Yelp
Bummed to say a long time great is falling. Besides the prices going way up, the food has just become okay. Recently talked to two other people and they said the exact same thing. Expensive and food comes out luke warm. I'd love it to return to the quality and value it used to be, but we won't be visiting again until it does.
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Just gotten too expensive. When we first moved to Chesapeake in fall 2021 we came here monthly. Prices have doubled since then. Service has declined as well.
google avatar

Tracy T. S.

Yelp
"Created memories" with my mother here today; the first time here for the both of us. It did not disappoint. I've been to the location in Virginia Beach several times. Did the Chesapeake location today, for "Brunch." Mother has the "French Toast," I had the "Country Fried Steak." The flavor profile on the French Toast were phenomenal. She was very pleased. I will simply go with the "Steak & Eggs" next time. The portion size is astronomical, given the entree cost. You will definitely leave full. The staff, exceptional. Very accommodating. I recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Made a brunch reservation for 1015 through their site. Waited for 15 minutes and no server. We left and went to City Deli. We won't be back.

Yelp
This will be a short review as everything here is absolutely amazing! The food, the service and ambiance! This was our first time at this location, we moved here from Virginia Beach, and always enjoyed our dinners there. My husband so enjoyed his birthday dinner and felt special with the place card! You will not be disappointed!!!!

Yelp
It's been a while since I've had a really nice dining experience with all around service from good customer service to ambiance and down to the meal! The restaurant is located off of Battlefield Blvd in the Great Bridge area. It's in a newer store front with other restaurants and stores but the restaurant and name face the Blvd, but you need to look or you can easily miss it. So with that said, the restaurant holds a pretty good amount of guest and have a nice size bar area. When you walk in, you'll be greeted by a hostess. I didn't have reservations but it looks like you may need it as the restaurant fills up quickly. They have an intensive wine selection but I always settle for a sangria. That was yum! Not too sweet and I can taste all the notes of the fruits used. For my dish I ordered crab cake, broccolini and cucumber salad. The Crab cake was the lump meat, so it was very meaty with little fillers. It was crusted with panko crust. Very good! I love broccolini and was sooo happy to see they offer it here! I wish it was roasted or sautéed but it taste like it was boiled in butter. The cucumber salad was thinly slice in a vinegar base that makes you squint your eyes. It was good but TANGY! Husband had the NY strip with onions, mashed potatoes, and that was GOOD! We like our steaks cooked to medium well, and they did it right with the right amount of seasoning. Oh they offer bread with garlic butter before the meal comes out and it was so addictive to keep eating it! Meaning... I couldn't stop eating the bread so by the time my meal came out I was alrefull!!! Had to do dessert to go which was cheesecake and peach cobbler. Cheesecake was thick, fresh and homemade. Cobbler the same. Both wasn't too sweet. This restaurant will definitely be a regular rotation in places to eat!!

Yelp
i've been here at least 10 times, every time it's been good. It is a little bit pricey, but worth every penny, just wish the alcohol was a little more affordable lol. but always a good experience.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this restaurant! It's a solid 1920s, classy, delicious dinner spot. We went for my dad's birthday and we had a great experience. The waitress was on it. She was so attentive and kind. We ordered soup, steaks, and dessert. When they brought the dessert she lit a candle and had them write "happy birthday" on the plate. My mom loved the tomato soup the most. I loved the filet. And my dad loved it all! (My only complaint was the asparagus... it's the only thing I didn't eat because it tasted bad - like out of season bad. But the experience and everything else was so good I still have 5 stars!)
google avatar

Junavy F.

Yelp
Amazing service & high quality dining! Went here for a weeknight dinner (fun fact: on Tuesdays they do half off on select wine bottles). Our waiter was so attentive and very personable. The ambiance was great and there were a good number of intimate booths as well as tables for larger groups. But more importantly: the FOOD. Expect to pay a pretty penny at this restaurant. Would definitely go here for celebratory dinners/important occasions. But the price is well worth the food you get. We tried the crab dip, the steak & cake, the stuffed shrimp, and the NY strip. The portions were more than enough and I personally enjoyed my stuffed shrimp (my least favorite part of it was the risotto). All in all, I'm definitely going back for my next fancy dinner occasion! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
I was really looking forward to coming here..........and it was underwhelming. The ambiance is amazing. Think first half 20th century. Very 30's, 40's, 50's esque. Complete with old films and pictures of famous faces from the time. I went with my dad who is 70 and we definitely had some nostalgic conversations. Service was great! No problem with our waitress. She was sweet, kind, and attendant. She handled all of our requests or modifications graciously and professionally. The menu here looks great and I was super excited to try The Butcher's Burger with pork belly, fried egg, cabbage slaw and a soy glaze. When my order came, as you'll see in the pictures, the plating was mediocre and amateur in nature. The burger, which I ordered medium, was well done leading to one of my table mates remarking "how can you be named The Butcher's Son and not know how to cook a burger". The waitress graciously took the burger back and returned it slightly less well done. I just went ahead and ate it and, while all of the flavor profiles worked and the taste well not bad, it wasn't rememberable. My father had the Oyster Rockefeller with a Caesar Salad which looked great and he loved! Our other table mate had a cup of She Crab soup which you can see from the picture had actual lump crab meat it. So way to go there! She did remark that it was a tad too salty. For drinks, I try to two of their old fashioned's from a list of specialty Old Fashioned's they serve. The first was the Apple Butter Old Fashioned with Makers Mark (I substituted for Bulleit), local apple butter, brown sugar simple and angostura bitters. The brown sugar was a little overpowering and would have loved to taste more of the apple butter. The second one I tried was the Peanut Butter and Jelly Old Fashioned with Skrewball Peanut Butter Bourbon, Chambord Liquer, simple syrup, and cherry bitters. I've had a Peanut Butter and Jelly Old Fashioned from several places and when done right is amazing. This one didn't work. Any hint of the jelly part of this drink was lost in the sauce of the other ingredients. Overall not a horrible experience and would eat here again.

Yelp
The lamb chops were incredible. Asked for mine medium rare and they were perfectly cooked. My husband had the pork chop and it was equally as good! The mashed potatoes were awesome. Definitely get the jalapeño jam! Delicious!

Yelp
Wow! What a great restaurant! Probably one of the best in Chesapeake. The salmon was easily the best salmon I've ever had. You have to try it! So juicy, cooked perfectly, falling apart, melting in your mouth style salmon. I've never had it quite like that before. This place is definitely on the pricier side, which makes it a good special occasion place. I'd say it's business casual. Some people seemed to dress fancier, others were pretty casual. If you don't let the prices scare you away, you are in for a treat! It is a full treat yourself experience. The entrees are pricey, but the cocktails and desserts are fairly priced. Service was great! Everyone was so pleased with the food and overall experience. It's a really special vibe.

Yelp
This is a fave date night spot for me and my husband. I really love the music and atmosphere here. From service to cocktails to the main course, everything has always been great. I usually go for the surf and turf option (steak and crab cake). My husband (who is a cave man) likes to order the biggest (or most dry-aged) piece of meat he can get. 5 stars!

Yelp
Tried the Butchers Son on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. We came in without a reservation around 9pm and were seated immediately. The place had a bit of whimsy and we sat I front of the beautiful bar! The service was great. Our server greeted us quickly and remained attentive. For dinner I had the stuffed flounder with loaded mash and a wedge salad! The salad was fresh and delish....absolutely loved it. My meal was delicious...especially the Flounder....I loved it!!! My only call out was that my protein was piping hot but the mashed potatoes while fresh, were luke warm at best (same with my husbands). It was almost like they reheated a fresh batch and it didn't have enough time. I let the server know she offered to get us something else but we declined. My husband had the Ribeye with loaded mash. He loved the steak. Ate the whole thing. The last thing worth mentioning were the complimentary bread. OMG...those rolls were heaven! Definitely give this place a try! We can't wait to go back. While I currently think dinner out is a bit pricey, I thought our dinner was relatively reasonable!

Yelp
We've been going to the Butcher's Son since the first restaurant opened in Chesapeake. Service and food has always been great. Today getting a table as a walk in, not so good. We went to the early bird special. The host said you had to sit at the bar, all tables were reserved. We always come for earlybird special with no reservation but today they have to have reservation for earlybird special..O.k. no problem, we sat at the bar. My wife noticed that the five tables at the bar and most of the tables on the floor were empty. She asked the hostess what time is the first reservations. The hostess called the manager. I ask if we can get the table since we will not be staying more than 1 hour and the managers stated that all tables were reserved and most guest would be here in the next 35 minutes. I did not insist even we are celebrating our anniversary We finished at the bar and left about an hour later. Most of the tables were still empty. Almost all the tables were still empty when we left. We could have a very nice dinner because food, service and price are excellent except the way we been treated. The bar seating is not comfortable to enjoy your dinne.

Had a girls' night out here last Saturday. Amazing! The Butcher's Son is a great place for that special occasion dinner. Anyway, we started off with cocktails. I asked the waiter to suggest a drink and he picked a martini for me. I can't remember what's in it, but it was fruity and good. We had the French dip spring rolls as our appetizer. Delicious, down to the dipping sauce and fried onions. For dinner, I ordered the night's special, which is a filet mignon with crabcake and bearnaise sauce. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the crabcake has lots of crabmeat.... Though a little bit under seasoned. My plate was clean. My friends enjoyed their steak and salmon dishes as well. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely come back.

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place out. Seeing pictures online, like the food presentation, made me think this place would be a little bit fancier but it was more casual and nevertheless we were a bit overdressed haha. The food was so amazing and worth every penny; we are already thinking about when we will return. Ribeye was cooked to perfection but I will be ordering the burger next time just because of how scrumptious it looked. The service was great! We went on a Wednesday at 7 pm and it was so packed! I'm glad we made a reservation.

Yelp
I am working in the area and didn't have time to go home for Thanksgiving so I made reservations at The Butcher's Son. They had a special Thanksgiving day menu which included 3 courses. First was soup or salad, second the main course, & third desert. All of it was excellent, and large portions.

Yelp
Outstanding dinner experience at The Butchers son! My friend and I decided to treat ourselves and wow this was such a great experience. First, we were seated at the table we reserved quickly and they were very set on making sure we were comfortable at our table. Waters and warm bread were brought out promptly which we were happy about because we were starving. It was the best! Our server shared the specials of the week and that's what we decided to order. We got the Halibut fish which was probably the best fish I've ever had! And the steak in pumpkin purée and veggies was scrumptious! Then we got the sweet and perfect fall flavored dessert, the pumpkin cheesecake. Everyone was so friendly, the staff the servers all so helpful! We will be going back to The Butcher's Son very soon!
