Another hidden steakhouse gem has been discovered. Right in downtown Dunn, NC The Butchers Table is delicious. Open since 2022 and serving a great steak with potatoes, salad and BBQ toast. Everything was amazing and I highly recommend.

Simple menu equals focused excellence. Steak, Potato, and Blooming Onion were all great. Atmosphere had a good relaxing vibe. Highly recommend to those folks who like a simple dining experience with great food and atmosphere.

No frills. One of the best meals I've paid for. The staff moved almost effortlessly. If you not eating the steak. Well.. the sweet potato was on point.

This is the BEST steakhouse we have ever been too! I can't believe the review from lady that said she had better steak at Outback. That's laughable. The steak was so delicious we didn't even need steak sauce. Outside area in the back with umbrellas and tables. Friendly staff, excellent food and great service. Highly recommend!

Found this by chance and it was so good. They keep it simple - you choose your meat and it comes with a salad and bread. Salad was fresh and crispy and bread was more a Texas toast but pretty good. Our filets were perfectly seasoned and so, so tender. Could have cut with a fork. We got there at 4:30 and had no trouble getting seated but there was a line when we left. Also had a full bar. Our waitress BillieKate was very sweet and checked on us often.

I don't usually leave reviews but I felt the need after seeing the rest of the reviews saying this was the best steak around. We were driving through Dunn and saw the great reviews and thought this must be really good steak with such a limited menu. This however was not the case. I ordered the filet and it was brought to the table over cooked. The waitress confirmed the cook knew he over cooked and offered to give me another one. Why would you ever bring anything to the table you knew was wrong? Besides that the service was very slow. My husband did not eat his steak and we asked that they remove it from the bill, which they did. Overall we just felt like this place is over charging for a mediocre steak. We have gotten better steaks at outback.

This place was fantastic! Probably the best filet I've ever had, flavor, seasoning, crust, cooked perfectly (rare), tender and the garlic herb butter was the perfect addition. I love that the menu is simple, but perfected. My husband got the ribeye and was happy with his meal. We also enjoyed the blooming onion, salad, potato and bread, service was attentive and perfectly paced our food to the table. We will be back!

EXCELLENT! We had a brief wait for a Friday night but enjoyed a beverage. While waiting, the hostess gave us some great advice- mainly that the steaks were exceptional. She was not wrong. Maybe the best ribeye I've ever eaten. Certainly top 3. Waitress was as attentive as needed. We were in town for DYB baseball World Series and may return to Dunn again just for a meal here. This place fills up fast, the drinks were amazing as we waited for our table. With the menu so small the tables do turn pretty fast. It can get loud inside. But that's to be expected. Food was cooked perfectly and hot when it came out. I just wished they had something else in the place of the salad for those of us how don't eat salads. So I did feel a little left out when my table got their salads. Maybe like a cup of soup or something. But other than that it was a great experience and the food was delicious. I will be going back in the near future (sorry I didn't get a picture of my food. I was just excited to eat it)

Wonderful establishment to dine in. The steaks are delicious . The owners and their staff aim to please and are friendly. It is a weekly visit for us!

The bartender/owner is extremely unprofessional. She poured me a cup of ice (over flowing by 2 inches) and a splash of bourbon filled with coke. I do not recommend getting a mixed drink at this place. Food is good but owner is so rude. I will never go back.

We stopped by here with a purpose of supporting g a local business and we are glad we did. Parking was easy as it was not busy (630pm). We were seated quickly right by the front door. Allison our server was amazing. She was polite, attentive and focused on us equally as with her other tables. She recommended the onion appetizer and was right in saying it was better than outback. It was truly fresh and tasted great. Both dinners came with a garden salad which was ok. The steaks were seasoned perfectly and cooked according to our taste. They were great cuts and really good. We were not rushed at all. The only negatives was sitting by the front door, only one appetizer to choose from and no desserts. It is only open on Friday and Saturday in the evening. We plan to come back and recommend givingvot a try if you are in the area.

Loved the store and enjoyed my purchase. Definitely family run. I was helped as soon as I reached the counter. Was in for 2 lbs of ground beef. They didn't have any displayed, but happily went to the back to file the order. Tried some maple breakfast sausage as well. Lots of local brands to accompany your purchase. T-shirt's at check out. I'm only passing through, but I'll be a regular till I leave. Best meat in the area.

Server couldn't keep my tea refilled ... food was delicious. Hard to get down though with no drink.

On Saturday night around 8:30, stepped in, open, clean table right in front of us. (My wife's birthday and just the two of us). 15 minutes later, not a single person working there had greeted us. Walked to the end of the bar about 20 feet away and asked a worker (table cleaner) what we needed to do and he took our name down. Five minutes later, still no acknowledegment so did an about face and walked out. Oh, and by the way, we observed other customers sitting at their table that didn't appear to be all that thrilled. Sorry.

Not the best steakhouse I have ever visited but by far the best steakhouse I have visited in the area. We had a party of 5. Our orders included filets, ribeyes and a NY strip. All were generally fork tender. The house seasoning had a bit too much pepper for me but was still good. The menu is limited to steaks only. Every order gets a salad, baked potato or baked sweet potato and a piece of Bar-b-que bread. One appetizer on the menu which was a fried onion. The prices were not cheap but very fair. A good selection of bourbons. A very friendly and attentive staff. Cheers to a simple menu done well.

I love this restaurant we always stop by when I'm headed south on 95. Steaks are delicious baked potato salad are so good and love the variety of drinks at the bar and the employees are always so nice. If you're looking for a delicious steak dinner you should definitely stop by.

A friend told us about this place so we stopped in for dinner as we were passing through Dunn. It was one of the best steaks I've eaten. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The baked potato did not disappoint and the salad and bread were so good. We pretty much cleaned our plates and we can't wait to return to this establishment when we can order a cocktail or two.

Great food! Little small, but the food was well worth it. The venue even had a bar where we were able to sit, have a few drinks, while our table opened up.

The atmosphere was fine. We got there early and were probably the second people in the restaurant. The prices were a little more than we would have liked to pay, but my filet was good and worth the price. It took a good while to even get our salad which was a bit frustrating considering there was hardly anyone there. The steaks took a bit longer because my husband likes his well done. Even after waiting a good bit for our steaks, we had to send his back because it was pretty pink on the inside. They did accommodate his request and managed to get it right on the second try. Overall, it's a quaint restaurant but I'm not sure it's somewhere I would go unless it was a special occasion.

I have been numerous times. Food has been delicious every time. Service is in a timely manner. Highly recommend this restaurant. Staff is pleasant.

Drove an hour to try this locally owned restaurant, and yes I would do it again. Simple scaled back menu with one appetizer offered and no desserts. This place is all about the steaks and it doesn't try to impress its patrons by pretending to be something it isn't. I ordered a MedRare NY Strip and was very impressed with it. It was a quality cut of beef, expertly prepped, and grilled to perfection. The server and staff were very pleasant. The prices were a little higher than I expected, but I'm satisfied my meal was worth the price. I will be back and I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys a great steak. If you're in the Dunn, NC area, carve out some time for The Butcher's Table.
