"No less an authority than Lord Byron proclaimed Dubrovnik “the pearl of the Adriatic” — the least this charming Croatian city could do is name a hotel after him in return. The Byron is practically brand new, opened in 2018, but the townhouse that it occupies is much older, and beneath its white-on-white redecoration, it shows charming signs of age. The four rooms are stylish and comfortable — think Molton Brown bath products — and all but the smallest, the Loft, feature kitchenettes for self-catering. It’s too small to have its own restaurant, but you’re spoiled for choice in the surrounding city, and the hotel’s concierge is happy to point you in the right direction." - Tablet Hotels

Great hotel in a very busy city! The location is perfect for anyone that wants to be in the Old City for a few nights. The owners were very generous with their time and information. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable with everything you need for your time in Dubrovnik. The owner, John, recommendations were spot on and very helpful, and the proximity to the swimming spot with bar adjacent was a top feature. I would highly recommend this hotel.

On arrival we were greeted like old friends. The check in process is super easy and a lovely cold drink was offered before being led to the hotel. The hotel itself was in a perfect location and absolutely beautiful. So quiet and relaxing even though it’s right in the centre. 1 minute walk to the swimming hole and straight into the Adriatic. 2 mins walk from the walls and all of the historic buildings. Facilities were excellent although would have been nice to have fresh milk and maybe biscuits but other than that everything has been thought of. On departure it was so easy. Has a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

The Byron is a wonderful place in the old city centre of Dubrovnik. The interior decoration is extremely well done and gives you the feeling of being home away from home. We stayed in the Cathedral room and had views through our window of the ancient cathedral of Dubrovnik. The room has a small build in kitchenette and fridge which is handy if you stayed longer. We enjoyed all the good food around Dubrovnik.|The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They provided good advice on restaurants and were very responsive to arrange airport transfers.|Just be mindful that for check-in you need to go the shop just outside the old city walls and then you have to walk with your luggage into the city.

Perfect location in the old city of Dubrovnik, being on a quiet street and close to many wonderful restaurants and the 'secret' swimming hole where we spent 2 afternoons soaking in the sun and swimming in the refreshing sea. Highly recommend staying here. Jon and the staff are very helpful and willing to accommodate all your needs. We will definitely stay here again.

Great accommodation for enjoying Dubrovnik. The clean, romantic room has state-of-the-art air conditioning and underfloor heating, and the kitchenette is fully equipped with dishes and cookware for breakfast in the room. The owner, Jon, was very helpful and friendly. We had a comfortable, relaxing and special evening after enjoying the charming city. Staying here made our trip to Dubrovnik a wonderful and memorable one.

My wife and I stayed three nights in January 2025. We chose this charming SOBE because of its highly rated reviews on TripAdvisor, Google and other sites. And it turned out to be the best choice I could have made. Clean and attractive rooms, comfortable air conditioning and floor heating, wonderful kitchenette, fabulous interior design.|And of special note is the kindness of the owner, Jon. He provided us with a variety of information prior to my stay, and tat check-in, he told us about the old town and gave us some restaurant recommendations. |Enjoying Dubrovnik and relaxing in the evening in this lovely room, The Byron made our trip an unforgettable experience.

Charming attic room, perfect for our needs and with a lovely view over the rooftops of the old city. We arrived at the city gate in torrential rain and were met by someone from the Byron who guided us through the streets and helped us with our luggage. She was lovely and so good humoured despite getting drenched. The Byron is perfectly positioned in the centre of the old city, quiet and comfortable, with very elegant decor. To be recommended.

Beautiful place. I had the cathedral room and the view was astounding. Place is immaculate and very zen in feel. Loved the after hours wandering in the quiet streets. Great recommendations for food and very kind and thoughtful guidance to enter property. Loved the ability to store my huge suitcase at the amazing Kawa store too.
