Google
A Korean-style clam BBQ spot in LA! Eating outdoors gave it that authentic Korean vibe, and the food was delicious. The combo comes with a variety of banchan and dishes, making it perfect for enjoying with a drink. The seafood was fresh, and the grilling experience added a fun touch. The atmosphere was lively, just like being in Korea. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something different and want to relax with friends over great food and drinks.

We visited on a holiday right when they opened. There was free parking behind the restaurant. We were a party of two with only one other set of customers in the restaurant. Service was great. As newbies to this experience, our waitress set up, cooked our food and walked us through each course. She provided tips on what signs to look for to identify when the clams, scallops and octopus were ready. The seafood was fresh and tasty. Overall, we had a great experience. Looking forward to returning with more people so we can try the higher tier set meals.

Google
The seafood was very fresh and tasty. HOWEVER, the services were VERY BAD. At the beginning, we were led to a table. The waiter just left us there without any services. Not even asked if we need some water. We ordered a set C and the waiter helped us to cook the first round. When he wanted to put more seafood on the grill, I stopped him and asked him to hold for now because we were waiting for another friend to join us. He was like “😒”, without answering, he put down everything on hand and walked away. WHAT AN ATTITUDE!!! Even though the seafood was great, I would not want to visit again. I was very upset.

Google
A cool little hole in the wall seafood bbq spot! Korean seafood bbq over gas+charcoal grill. For about a $100, 2 people can have a variety of Korean barfood. Atmosphere is clean an dimly lit and service is attentive. In addition to fresh shell fish, their banchan Tokkboki was on point! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Google
Located at the back in the parking lot. Three of us shared the B set. It came with a lot of food and side dishes including salad, corn, tteobokki, soup, sweet potato & potato, and a large pot of noodle soup at the end. The seafood tasted very fresh, my personal favourite is the oyster, abalone and clam. They cook for you and remind you when things are ready so nothing gets over cooked.

Google
My first time eating seafood Korean bbq. Will definitely be coming back soon. The food was delicious and the combo C was enough for 4 ppl and everyone was full in the end. They help you cook and everything.

Rin Loris

Google
Food was honestly A+. Went with a party of 4 and ate plenty! Their side dishes were especially well-formatted and the shellfish was well prepped with no brine or remaining sand! Would def recommend.

Google
We arrived at 5:45 and were seated immediately. Any later and we would have waited in a long line. They have inside dining as well as outside under a canopy. The dining experience was quite a show. The servers also were very helpful. Initially, we weren't sure how long to have our food cooking on the grill. Without solicitation, a server immediately came over and took what was done and put on our plates. It was like we didn't have to do anything but eat. Now that's service!

Yelp
Empty cause we went before dinner rush on Saturday evening-- but the 1-1 service was impeccable. Not the chattiest servers but our food was cooked well & everything was yummy. Most favorite: baby octopus, oyster & nook hwae (ceviche w noodles) & yummy kalgooksu at the end Least fave: shrimp (just small and not that exciting but tasted fine w Thai sauce), mussels (personal preference) The $ is great for amount of food! We could've had 1 more person and still been full w an extra side order or something. Watch my vid on ig for the full visit! @spicyroseeats

Yelp
I ordered the Captain Set ($200) which promises Manila Clams, Whole Shelled Oysters, Large Clam, Shrimps, Scallops with Cheese, 3 Abalone, Hagfish, Live Lobster (Steamed), Marinated Baby Octopus, Buttered Squid, Potato, Sweet Potato, and sides of Ceviche, Steamed Eggs, Korean Pancakes, Corn Cheese, Fried Shrimp, Korean Spicy Rice Cakes, Bay Scallop Soup, and Korean Noodle Soup. It was quite underwhelming as a majority of the seafood served was just clams. The more expensive seafood promised was only one piece per person. Notable items: Manila Clams, Scallops with Cheese, Buttered Squid, the butter sauce with the lobster, and the Korean Noodle Soup. They also slow cook everything so we were in there for almost an hour and a half to two hours. It took even longer because one of the clams refused to open up so they had to get us a new one. Nothing truly stood out to me or appeared as worth the price. Since it's primarily protein, you don't feel full at the end as well if you don't order extra carbs on the side. This was enough for 4 people if you only want to feel 80% full.

Yelp
What We Ordered - Crew Set It was my first time at a seafood bbq place so I opted go try a set menu instead of a la carte. I enjoyed everything but key highlights were the Korean ceviche, steamed egg, fried shrimp, Manila clams, mussels and whole shelled oysters. Now that I know what to like, will go with a la carte in the future! Dipping sauces were great, especially the green sauce!

Yelp
I checked out this spot last Saturday for dinner. We got there pretty early around 5 PM and we were seated right away. The place is really small, and I don't think they take reservations, but they do have a waitlist. We ordered the crew set, which is meant for three people, and it came with all the banchan from the companion's list. Everything was flavorful. I get why people mention the clams being tiny after cooking, but that's just how clams are. If that's a concern, you can always order à la carte. Since we were a party of three, we added another pancake and cheese corn. Just a heads up, you have to pay for extra banchan, unlike some regular K-BBQ spots where it's unlimited. We also tried the sea eel. It was good, but I wasn't blown away, and honestly, the menu felt a bit limited. This place was hyped up a lot on IG, but for me, it didn't quite live up to that. The staff were great and really attentive and ready to help at any moment. One tip: they provide a single glove, so use it to handle the burning hot shells and avoid burning your skin! Overall, it's a little too far for me so I'd probably choose another spot for this kind of meal closer to home.

Yelp
This place is the real deal when it comes to Korean cuisine. We used to visit before the pandemic when it was called Daebudo, and we had a fantastic experience then, and it's still great now. We ordered the combo for 1-2 people (set #1), and it was plenty for both of us. The servers were all fantastic, answering any questions we had, and they cook the seafood right in front of you on the grill. Valet is $4, and there's plenty of parking. The valet took our key, asked us to pay in advance, and handed the key back so we could leave without needing to ask for it. It's LA parking, so our expectations were low. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here with our family for dinner one night. It was a friday night and wasnt too busy we were able to get sat immediately. I believe we got the master set and i kid you not this was a great experience. It's almost like grilled seafood omakase. They have different levels you can choose from to get different things and it comes out as courses. All the apps were delicious. I tried eel for the first time here and it was interesting. I definitely enjoyed this and would come back whenever in LA.
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
Wasn't very impressed by the offerings. It was 2 of us so we chose the crew set. The seafood is cooked at the table and a lot of them were overcooked. Valet parking in the back.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to me if I ever craved Jeju-style seafood in Ktown, particularly for the abalone. I think on Google, this restaurant is/was called "The C" or "Daebudo" before they changed their name to Burnin' Shell, so it was a bit confusing when we drove up, but we managed to find it okay! The parking lot in the back was very convenient, and it was nice to easily walk-in and get seated right away on a Thursday evening with no reservation. The ambiance was casual, relaxed, and they served alcohol which was nice because we had some friends visiting. There were four of us altogether, and we were trying to decide between the combination seafood order 3-4 or 2-3. We decided to go with the 2-3 people serving because half of us were girlies, and we're SO GLAD WE DID! By the end of the meal, we were stuffed! Good quality fresh seafood with great side dishes, and the service was ON POINT. They grilled everything for us, and let us know when the different seafoods were ready to eat. Overall, we had a great time! Burnin' Shell is at the top of my list the next time I have a hankering for fresh seafood. I think my parents would approve as well.

Yelp
We ordered the crew set, and it was packed with an abundance of fresh seafood. The oysters were massive, and the variety of side dishes they served was so generous we couldn't even finish them. To top it off, the meal ended with soup and noodles more than enough for two people. It's incredibly cost-effective, especially in these times when everything feels so expensive. The CP value here is outstanding! The service was excellent; the staff grilled the seafood right at our table, timing everything perfectly so it was fresh and hot. The restaurant itself is very clean with no lingering cooking smells, which made the experience even better. The prices are very reasonable, but make sure to arrive early or prepare to wait, it gets packed quickly. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Significant upgrades interior from prior owners. Clean nautical theme. Food excellent. Service even better. Ordered the lobster also but ate it too fast so no pictures of mr lobster. But here is photo of the grilled shell fish.

Yelp
the best seafood experience in a long time. everything is so beautifully presented, the seafood is SO FRESH, the sauces are amazing and creative and all sides were great too. definitely the best service too. we especially loved the lobster, clams, bbq octopus oyster and steamed egg.
google avatar

Tina K.

Yelp
Great seafood!!! They cook everything for you so no need to worry about cooking. We ordered combo pack and lots of variety of seafoods and sides were included. Plus service was great!!
google avatar

Kyle N.

Yelp
- crew set was MORE than enough for 2 ppl - includes so many sides: corn cheese, steamed egg, korean pancake, noodle soup, shrimp tempura, and more - staff cook for you (anne or anna did a great job) - finally got to have my cloju (clam and soju) shot like they do in the kdramas :') - 10/10 would come back
google avatar

Yelp
Soooo good. The atmosphere, service and food are all fantastic. Love the pocha tables. The seafood is fresh and delicious. I will say, wear clothes that cover your skin! My friend had a piece of shell pop off while grilling and land on her and it burned her but obviously that's no one's fault. Just a warning to be careful. We love this place! Coming with big groups is fun so you can order the big sets and try a little bit of everything.

Yelp
Burn a bit, little bit, sauce it up, take a lick, feelin lit, feeling right, 8 PM, summer night. It's on sight, food was so good I wished I knew about it sooner, alright. It was our first time having Korean style bbq seafood and I must say, it did not disappoint. We ordered the Master Set(various selection of seafood) and a couple of soju. The clams, oysters, eels, shrimp, abalone, and mussels were all fresh and prepared with quality. I noticed and liked how all the clams were not sandy. The oysters was so juicy and creamy. Barely any fishiness in their seafood. That's a home run for me. Our server was quick, kind, and knowledgeable about the different seafood. He was cooking our food like a beast. The whole night was just great vibes and bomb food. In my opinion, I think the price is worth for the quality and amount of food. We were so freakin full which was a good thing, lol. If you guys like bbq and seafood, this is definitely the spot to curiously try and explore. I mean who doesn't like oysters.
google avatar

Judy T.

Yelp
The restaurant was very unique, since they specialized in barbecue seafood. The staff was very attentive and the seafood was very fresh and plentiful. The place itself was small, not sure if they have outdoor seating. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
This was a great, authentic culinary experience! We had the master set and every single side dish and seafood tasted fresh and excellent; the kimchi was good too. Even my dad who's from the seaside of Korea loved it. Definitely would like to come back. P.S. leave room for kalgooksoo at the end.
google avatar

Sandra W.

Yelp
Ok the food keep coming out. This is such a treat. The service is great. Little hidden gem. It's a cozy place. They help you cook the food. Price for what you get? It was great!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this Korean seafood bbq restaurant. The food is amazon and the service is awesome. The place is clean and the environment is great.
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
We ordered a crew set and it came out with a variety of sides such as spicy rice cake, steamed egg, korean pancake, and kalkoosoo at the end. A great portion to share between 2 people. Our server cooked the entire thing so it was very easy to eat. The service was great and the foods were also great! Will recommend sitting outside :)
google avatar

Jamie Y.

Yelp
This is my new favorite Korean seafood bbq spot in LA! The interior was nicely renovated and the staff were very friendly. We got the captain set which came with a live lobster that was presented to us in a treasure box. We named him Larry. All the seafood came out in beautiful presentation and was very fresh. The server grilled everything perfectly. My favorite was the abalones, oysters, clams, and hagfish! We chased all the dishes down with plenty of soju. I'd recommend this spot with a group of friends or if you're looking to drink and have some fresh seafood!
google avatar

Esther C.

Yelp
My friend and I recently went to Burnin' Shell and it was a solid meal of trying dishes we haven't had or rarely get to eat. The service was great, the meal plans are huge (so many side dishes), and it's fun to put the gloves on and eat your BBQ seafood. I wouldn't say the food was out of this world but I loved the concept and again, the service was amazing (they cook the food for you and are incredibly attentive). If you're tired of the regular korean meat BBQs, check out Burnin Shell! It was a fun experience and definitely had room for larger groups. There is easy parking in the back (valet).
google avatar

Lilianne T.

Yelp
Came here as a party of 5 for lunch on a Saturday. There was no wait! We found metered parking on the street but it looked like there was a secret parking lot in the back somewhere. We were advised to order the master set to accommodate the 5 people in our party. It was enough food for all of us! We thought the companion dishes might've been unlimited but we were wrong! Most of the companion dishes were good except for the Korean ceviche. It was very strange and different. The service was amazing! Our waiter helped us organize the seafood on our grill and frequently came back to distribute the cooked items and put new items onto the grill for cooking. The clams and oysters were my favorite! The hagfish was very interesting lol it looked not that appetizing raw... the taste wasn't too bad when eating it bc we had to wrap it in these leaves and add other garnish with it. I'd be fine if I didn't have to eat that again LOL. Overall, a place worth trying but not a place that lives at the top of any of my food lists.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Fresh seafood cooked directly on your table over a grill. Honestly nothing better if you are craving shellfish. There is one citrusy cold appetizer which wasn't my favorite but everything else tasted great with a good portion sizes.
google avatar

Ada C.

Yelp
OK. The pictures lied. I was super thrilled about going to this place because the food in so many of the pictures I saw on Yelp looked so good. Sadly, the dining experience didn't turn out the way I wanted/ expected. The assorted seafood in the crew set we ordered was teeny-tiny and got even smaller after they were cooked up. Some of the clams (the flesh, not the shells) were in the size of a penny. The sea eel at market price was a little better taste wise and portion size wise, but still not worth $65 alone. The lady serving our table looked unhappy, like she was saddened or something, she just didn't look welcoming. Seriously, we could have had something much better than this for the price we paid.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
The food is great and the service is good. The price might be a but higher end but they do everything for you and you'll walk out absolutely full.
google avatar

Katherine N.

Yelp
Got the Crew Set off the Prix Fixe menu. It serves 1-2 people, so it comes with a variety of seafood and potatoes. Each set is also accompanied by various companion dishes like steamed egg, Korean pancake, Korean ceviche, spicy rice cakes, shrimp tempura, corn cheese, and scallop soup. Everything was so good, we finished pretty much all of it. The seafood and potatoes are grilled for you by staff. Heat gloves are provided so you can eat the shellfish while hot and fresh. Once all the seafood is cooked, they'll bring out the soup to place on the grill to keep warm as you finish it. Don't forget to get some beer and soju to pair with your meal! Went for dinner on a Friday night at 6pm. There was no wait. As the night went on, the place became more packed. There's also seating outdoors if you don't want to wait for a table indoors. Valet parking lot behind the building or street parking (if you can find it). Total came out to be about $133 after tax and tip. A great pescatarian dinner spot! 10/10 would recommend.
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
We went to this place twice within one week to introduce this place to a friend. The grilled seafood was delicious and the service was very friendly and prompt. We did get there earlier bc of prior appointments I had so sitting right away was no problem. The only comment I have is that their pricing happened to go up within that one week visit of about 20%.... I was surprised when I saw the new price and felt the value for the price wasn't as appealing
google avatar

Thuy Dan T.

Yelp
Combo for $230 says it feeds 4-8 people which is a weirdly wide range. We had 6 people which was enough food but splitting some of the courses was hard to do. I felt like the price was a little high for the experience. Cooked over coals so it gets hot so depending where you're sitting, you may need a hand fan (I wish I had one). When you arrive there is a cold noodle soup to start as like a palate cleanser. Then a hot, spicy rice cake soup, steamed egg, seafood pancake, and fried shrimp is given. When it says feeds 4-8 and we have 6, I expect a piece for everyone, but some apps had less than that. For example, in the fried shrimp, there were only 4 pieces. It would be nice for the staff to ensure everyone would get one piece. There is minimal toppings and light sauces for most items like the clams and mussels so the seafood flavor shined through. Abalone, oysters, and bay scallops have other toppings and condiments to go with each. Lobster served with Cajun sauce. They present the lobster before cooking in this treasure chest for a nice presentation. But I swear the lobster they presented us was not the lobster we were served. Our whole group was almost certain of that as the serving was quite small with small claws compared to the live one they presented. The meal ends with a nice noodle soup with some bouncy noodles. We were still full by the end of the meal and there seemed to be a wait for the tables when we left! The charcoal tables are located in the back of the restaurant, outdoors by the parking lot area just FYI.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and awesome service names Jeff friendly ,the abalone so fresh same as others. They do have shrimp tempura that other restaurants don't have it.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
We came here on a weekday for dinner and it was pretty empty so I was a little skeptical at first but everything was amazing!! It does remind me of seafood bbq places when I went to Korea! We got the crew set and it comes with so much food! You might think it might not be enough food since it's mainly seafood but I was stuffed at the end! The seafood was so fresh and tasty! And the other dishes that came with the set were surprisingly good as well! The servers cook everything for you and are very attentive! For the price you can't beat it! It is very worth it! I will for sure be coming back here the next time I'm in LA!
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
This place is one of the biggest discoveries in Ktown! It's located in sort of an abandoned block of Koreatown so it might be easy to miss. My wife and I came for our anniversary. My wife is pescatarian and we've had a hard time finding a good Korean spot that caters to her diet. Burnin' Shell is Korean BBQ but with seafood which was perfect. The sides the sets come with are also very delicious. Seafood is fresh. And the service is great! The servers were super patient and friendly in walking us through the process of cooking. The place is also clean and I love the under-the-sea tavern kind of vibe.
google avatar

Jaymie N.

Yelp
I came here reading that they do a Thai seafood sauce so I came to confirm. And I can confirm that they DO!!! The service is quick and on point. The seafood is fresh and cooked for you!! The side dishes are usually an afterthought but it's clear that they still live up to the freshness and goodness of the seafood. I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Emi H.

Yelp
If you love seafood and you love Korean BBQ, this is the place for you! I usually get one of their Prix Fixe menu depending on how many people I'm with. The base set comes with manila clams, whole shelled oysters, large clam, shrimps, mussels, scallops with cheese, marinated baby octopus, potato, and sweet potato, whereas the bigger sets include all of that as well as other items like abalone, hagfish, buttered squid and/or lobster. Each set comes with an assortment of companion dishes as well. You will definitely not leave here hungry! The meal starts off with Korean Ceviche which is a light and refreshing cold noodle dish with cabbage and raw seafood. Then the servers would start cooking all the shellfish and would set aside the ones that were ready to eat. They do a good job spacing out all the food. Just when you think the meal is over, more seafood would be put on the grill. You know the meal is at a close when they serve their Korean Noodle Soup. This is a clear seafood noodle soup that is served hot so the broth is warm and comforting - perfect way to end the meal. I've been here 3 times already and I would come back here over and over again. The seafood is always fresh and I enjoy dipping the seafood in the 3 sauces that they provide - each sauce gives a different kick. Their companion dishes also pair well with all the grilled seafood. I especially love their Fried Shrimp, Steamed Eggs, Korean Pancake, and Kim Chi. The most recent time I went, we got the Master Set ($154.98) so we got to try the hagfish. It was torched in front of us and served with perilla leaves, garlic, onion, jalapeño, and miso. I appreciated the server for explaining to us how to make the hagfish ssam. It was such a delicious combination and the hagfish had such a nice smoky flavor and char! Overall, this is the perfect spot for anyone who loves seafood. They have around 10 tables inside which can seat 4-6 people and they have outdoor seating as well. Parking is available in a shared valet parking lot behind the restaurant for $2.
google avatar

Kacie S.

Yelp
I've been to a couple of Korean seafood bbq restaurants but this is hands down my favorite yet! Seafood quality was good, service was great and the drinks were super cold which, if you drink beer & soju, you should know matters :)
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
A little pricey but 100% worth it. The crew set is plenty of food for two. Lots of different dishes from seafood to side dishes. Service was very attentive and they helped us cook.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Captain set. Hella good enough talk, seafood galore w bunch of extra dishes. Lobster show, fire show, egg, tteokbokki
google avatar

Scott T.

Yelp
Love this place especially for outdoor seating! Feel so good and friendly with the waiters!! Also they allowed Pets for outdoor seating so it's Good Place for Dog Lover!!! The Food Quality is Super Good and Fresh! For the Seafood Combo Chief Set we order is really good for party of 4 ppl!! Will definitely come back again with my lovely baby Dog and Friends!!

Yelp
I came here for dinner with several friends and we had an amazing dining experience here. We had heard about this restaurant from friends and Korean seafood bbq was quite unique and we have never had it before, so we finally went to check it out. We were promptly seated when we arrived and after looking over the menu, we got the chief set and it was the right amount of food for all 3 of us. It comes with a variety of seafood including manilla clams, oysters, shrimp, mussels, scallops, abalone, octopus, and squid! You get the whole spectrum here and we loved it. The staff do cook the food here for you so you don't have to worry about cooking at all. The service here was excellent on our visit and they were checking in on us constantly to make sure everything was good and they were friendly! All the seafood was of high quality and all the sides we got from the corn cheese to the steamed egg soup were great compliments to the seafood and delicious. The staff cooking did not let anything get overcooked and told us when to take things off the grill if they got too close to burning. The overall vibe you get is on the fancier side with dimmer lighting and the smell of seafood cooking is quite good and it feels cozy with an beach/marine vibe. There is street parking available or you can park in one of the nearby lots! Overall, we had a great meal here and if you want to try something new or take someone out for a date, this is great spot! Highly recommended!

Isha S.

Yelp
Incredible Korean seafood BBQ! We got the Chief Set--lobster, scallops, abalone, clams, octopus--everything was super fresh and grilled right at the table. Loved the cheesy scallops and buttery squid. Sides like ceviche and steamed egg were . We have been here before they renovated. Still great! Perfect spot for seafood lovers. Will definitely be back!

June K.

Yelp
Second time here! Love it!!! The cold noodle is also good as an appetizer! Must try if you are craving grilled shells
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
You definitely pay for what you get. We ordered the master set which is the second most expensive set and we got so much seafood out of it. It says it's enough to feed 2-3 but it fed four of us and the two of us can really chow down, so there's definitely enough for 4 people. We got Clams, hagfish, oysters, scallops, muscles. We also ordered a side of eel, and it tasted amazing. A little crispy and it came with eel sauce! The sets come with banchan, the Korean ceviche, steamed egg, potato and sweet potato. We also ordered corn cheese and that was good, but I wish the portion size for that was bigger. The steamed egg and Korean ceviche were both very flavorful and delicious! The servers cook the food for you the entire time and are extremely attentive. Service was definitely a 5/5. They had an outdoor and an indoor area and both were well ventilated and ac was cool. Would come back again!
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Got the captain combo and it did not disappoint. So much fresh seafood, a fresh live lobster, a seafood broth knife cut noodle at the end to top it all off. I did not like the hagfish tho and i wish there was an option to sub it out.
google avatar

Polly C.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday and there was little to no wait! We chose to sit outside because they use charcoal to cook outside and it was definitely the vibe. Service was great everyone was super tentative. We got the chief set and added an additional abalone. The abalone was literally still moving while on the grill which means it's fresh!!
google avatar

Toni R.

Yelp
Came for an early dinner with friends and what an amazing experience! Love the seafood bbq, which we usually do not get in the east coast. The seafood was fresh and was an awesome experience overall. Loved the little things they did like showing us the lobster and doing a fire show, to make this a special experience.

Yelp
Food was like a 3.5, service was excellent 5. Wanted to get a seafood lunch for galentines. During the day (only on weekends), it's not too busy. We all parked on the street at meter parking and 2 of us had to add time since we stayed longer than 90 minutes. Pretty sure there is a lot in the back, but there were no obvious signs on how to get in. We were advised to get the master set to accommodate 5 people. It was enough food and only the shrimp companion dish and oyster had 4. The companion dishes were good, I loved the steak egg, seafood pancake, cheese sweet corn and fried shrimp. The Korean ceviche didn't leave much of an impression, and we were full by the time we got to the noodles at the end. The seafood was good. Our server cooked everything for us and taught us how to eat hagfish (wrapped in perilla leaf with paste and aromatics). I think the abalone stood out for me but the rest were ok. Hagfish tasted fine if you're ok with the bottom-sea-dwelling-taste. A little bitter aftertaste.

Yelp
Place is lit...literally! If you're looking for a good spot for date night or girls' night out, look no further! We ordered the master set and there was more than enough food for the both of us. It's the gift that keeps on giving. We tried the clams, scallops, squids, shrimp, abalone, and mussels. Everything was so fresh. They are on top of the service and I love how it feels like a show. Our food was fire! Just when you think you're almost done with the food, they showed up with squid and octopus. At the end, they served us kimchi and a gigantic bowl of noodles. I ate to my heart's content...

Yelp
My partner and I stopped by around 5PM on Thursday and it was empty. They said the rush happens around 6-7PM. So if you want more attentive service and a quieter ambience, come a little earlier! The interior feels like a cozy Korean bar with a submarine/marine aesthetic. Servers were all great and cooked all of the food for us! There's street parking out front and a parking lot in the back. We ordered the Crew Set for 2 plus a steamed lobster. I'd say the Crew Set is perfect for 2 if you're not starving! They cook the seafood for you so you can enjoy eating everything when it's hot off the grill. (They give you cloth gloves to protect your hand) The 3 sauces they had was sambal, Thai seafood sauce, and Korean chojang (vinegary pepper sauce). We got Manila clams, a large clam, 2 oysters, baby octopus, scallops, mussels, shrimp, and a lot of side dishes. The 2 oysters we got were plump and creamy, scallops were covered in cheese and chilis, and everything tasted fresh! Side dishes included fried shrimp, Korean ceviche, Korean pancake, steamed egg, spicy rice cake, potato, sweet potato, noodle soup, kimchi, and cheese corn. Our favorites from the sides were the Korean ceviche, steamed egg, and cheese corn. We really enjoyed our meal and the service! If you're craving seafood Korean style, definitely give Burnin Shell a try!
