Beautiful restaurant, great food, and friendly staff! We were sat very quickly outside and my husband tried the Mexico City and Tulum drink. He liked them both but said the Mexico City was his favorite. I tried a NA drink with strawberries and mint and it was delicious. Would highly recommend the Cubano from the handheld section and the pork chop from the entrees. We definitely will be back to try out more of their menu. Service was slow but the waitstaff were very friendly. In their defense it was a busy night and the speed of service actually reminded us of our trip to Spain and some of the menu items were Spain influenced so we had fun reminiscing.

This place is a perfect patio spot for the summer months. It’s right on the river with great views of the downtown skyline and a covered patio that provides a ton of shade. The interior has great theming and offers a lot of indoor seating. The food is fantastic! Tons of flavor, vibrant toppings, and plenty of options. The drink Menu is also similar to a craft cocktail bar. Two thumbs up!

I was visiting from out of town and this was the first place we tried. It’s apparently a new spot on the river and did not disappoint. The people watching, food, and drinks were top tier. Perfect spot for a fun meet up with friends. Had a group of 7 so got the opportunity to try a lot of things. Their drink menu is amazing with an extensive selection of spirits. We tried the orange rose which was crisp and with the perfect amount of citrus notes. I also had their Mexico City cocktail and everyone at the table loved it. Perfectly balanced between sweet, smoky, and salty. So good that the high proof sneaks up on you. A must order. Food wise, you really can’t go wrong. Of the items we tried, I personally loved the papaya salad the most. It surprisingly came with a decent amount of heat but still bright, acidic, and refreshing. The chorizo arancini balls were also delicious and so were the tin fish, sprouts, and cauliflower. There were many other items on the menu like brisket pho and the desserts that looked amazing too but didn’t get to try. Would definitely come back if I’m ever back in Minneapolis.

Last night, my friend and I got to try out The Cabana Club, which recently opened on St. Anthony Main. I had been intrigued due to their description of being a travel-inspired haven. The atmosphere upon entrance was very relaxing, big windows filled the room with light, the walls were warm-toned with wood accents, and big plants were throughout the space. We were greeted immediately after getting seated and ordered the ‘Mini Mart’ off the Happy Hour menu and the ‘Ibiza’ from the Specialty Drinks menu, which is nicely organized by proof. To start, we ordered the Butter Board, which was our favorite, served with focaccia and popovers along with the chef’s selection of butter. On this day, it was Mushroom, Tomato, and Orange, bringing a wide range of flavors. We also ordered the Curry Cauliflower, and it was okay; a nice portion for sharing. We tried out the Wild Mushroom Fettuccine, which was nice, and had a generous portion of mushrooms. The Caesar Salad was good with croutons that held a nice smoky taste; it would have benefited from more dressing, since some pieces felt dry. The American Smash was juicy and delicious on a soft bun. I ordered an Espresso Martini. It was a little disappointing; next time, I would go with one of their craft specialty drinks instead. For dessert we went with the Fryjacks, served with a coconut and sesame sauce, these weren’t our favorite, they were plain and the sauce lacked flavor, on the other hand, the Chocolate Mousse Cake was rich and flavorful served with a delicious scoop of vanilla ice cream, a sweet way to end the night. In the beginning, we were given great service, and all of our menu questions were answered thoroughly, yet throughout our stay, we didn’t feel like the service was the best; it was extremely slow, and we felt forgotten about. We were relaxed, but we were constantly waiting for the next step since time would drag, to get our order taken or to receive items, upwards of 40 minutes at times, making our time there lengthy. Overall, I would love to give The Cabana Club another try, especially by enjoying the view on their beautiful patio this summer.

Food was inconsistent. Some items were great (curry cauliflower, papaya salad, beri beri shrimp), others overcooked and tough (chicken skewers & mahi mahi). Service was almost non-existent. Patio was crowded and lively but we chose to sit indoors with AC and there were many open tables. We sat for 10m before even being able to request drinks. No follow up when food was delivered so friend was stuck with mahi mahi she couldn't eat. Wanted dessert but server didn't reappear to take that part of our order. Finally got hold of him and he gave us bill and was taking payment before dessert even arrived. Personally, I would not go back.

I was excited to try this newer place in St Anthony Main. I’d like to see more dining options in this beautiful area. Cabana Club has a great vibe and a wonderful summertime deck with trees and umbrellas for shade. The burger I got wasn’t my thing. Too sweet. The burger itself didn’t seem all that seasoned. So it just felt like a textural experience with some sweet bacon jam. However, the quality of the ingredients were decent and I liked the fries. Ultimately, $24 is way too much money for a mid burger and fries. I’d go somewhere else for that next time. But other items on the menu sounded good and I’d return to try something else.

Great new restaurant on Main Street. The design and atmosphere is beautiful. They have an amazing patio overlooking Main Street and downtown. The food is great! I highly recommend the Cubano! This is a great spot for date night or just a light bite and cocktails. Matt is a fantastic server! We look forward to coming back for dinner and drinks!

Came for dinner, huge big wrap around patio with lovely views of the Mpls skyline and riverfront Unfortunately we had a hazy view due to the wildfire smoke but it didn't smell and was the most beautiful evening Loved the tropical cocktails- all tasted great and pretty I enjoyed my meal too-service was okay- a little slow at times but just attentive enough This place would be great for HH! The Mahi Mahi was a nice light refreshing dish- a little spicy with the fist few bites but yum The butter board app was good and unique Decent prices for the city Parking sucks in this area - limited street parking and can get very busy fyi

Yelp
Had an absolutely fantastic experience here! The patio seating was beautiful--perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening out. We ordered the gochujang-marinated flank steak, piri piri shrimp, burrata, and sweet potato fries, paired with a wine flight. Every dish was a hit, but the flank steak stole the show--grilled to perfection and served with shiitake mushrooms and kimchi, it was bursting with bold, umami-rich flavors. The piri piri shrimp were also a standout--perfectly cooked with a spicy, flavorful kick. I brought my puppy along and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. They were so sweet to him and even brought him treats, which made the whole experience even better. 100% coming back again--this place nailed it on food, ambiance, and service!

Yelp
Came to Cabana Club for a friend's birthday brunch, the atmosphere is very tropical and the patio was lovely. I came in with a group of eight and we had a reservation about a month in advance. We had not been seeing very much content about their brunch on Yelp or online so we wanted to come in and check it out for my friend's birthday. Out of the eight, six of us ordered the Arepa Benedict. The Benedict was fantastic and truly was a wonderful representation of the Cabana Club brunch, this was very hearty, and the arepa added a nice element to the dish. The chipotle hollandaise was the perfect touch with the shredded pork. The side breakfast potatoes were fantastic, very well done and crispy with a nice seasoning, I usually don't eat the breakfast potatoes but these were exceptional. I also had a honey lavender latte, it came in acute glass and was perfect perfectly Instagram worthy. The food and aesthetic of the restaurant in general was very tropical. This is a 4 out of 5 star review mostly because everything was perfect until we decided to bring out the birthday cake. We mistakenly forgot to bring a serving knife to cut the cake and the restaurant server refused to give us one for some reason, stating something to the effect of it being a Minneapolis health violation of some sort. At other well-known high-end restaurants that I have been to in Minneapolis they have not only allowed for people to bring their birthday cakes for large party reservations but also accommodated by cutting the cake in the kitchen and providing individual servings. That's above and beyond birthday reservation accommodations, but clearly this restaurant is not as elevated as they claim on their website. Definitely noted for future birthdays if you choose to attend this establishment, they do not accommodate people bringing cakes for birthday parties. While the restaurant did give a complementary piece of chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream and a candle, we were all left annoyed that the amazing cake that was brought specifically for my friend's birthday was left unattended to melt in the sun.

Yelp
Gorgeous views from the patio! Perfect place to be on a summer evening. We came out for Friday date night and the vibes were fire. Jerk Chicken (5/5) Highly recommend the Jerk Chicken - it was delicious, juicy and large enough to feed two people. It was served with the most delicious smashed and crispy plantain bananas I've ever had, and had a small cucumber salad on the side. Cuban (3/5) My Cuban Sandwich was just okay, not great. Service (4/5) It seemed there were only 2 servers working the large patio. Our server did great, but was not able to check on us frequently. Location can't be beat. After checking into the front desk at 6pm on a sunny Friday evening, they advised it would be a 30 minute wait. They took our phone number and we were able to enjoy a beautiful walk on a nearby trail before dinner.

Yelp
Is this my new favorite patio in the Twin Cities??? The view is gorgeous and the seating is great! Lots of tables. I went for their brunch and it was delicious. I got their quinoa bowl and it was veryyyy quinoa heavy, but still good. I also got the breakfast potatoes and coffee, both of which were great. My friends tried the waffles and arepas, and loved those as well. If you're looking for a killer patio and good food, this is the spot!

Yelp
We went to check out this new restaurant right off main. We wanted to sit in the patio but the waiting list was too long, so we sat inside. Ambiance reminds me of tiki bar and tropical feeling. The food was a mixture of Latin and carribean fusion. We ordered sea bass crude, it was like a ceviche with plantain chips on the side. Mahi Mahi was really good. Their cocktails are also tasty.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurants sit in Riverfront, Mississippi. The restaurant is clean and has a very nice ambience with deck, dining, overlook the Mississippi. Friendly servers and staffs. The manual has a variety of different dish from one from a different country, which is nice.. the food was good. Depends on some dish and the cohesiveness of each dish varies. I just wish they had a little bit more of the main entrée dishes to select. They have a limited of dishes, but the dishes that we pick is actually pretty good. 4.5/5 overal.

Yelp
I love this location and was happy to try this new restaurant. PRO TIP: finding parking in this area can take a while, so plan ahead! The happy hour menu is pretty good, I tried the sangria and it was flavorful. I wasn't too hungry and got the brisket bites as my meal and it was yummy and more than enough food; if I had to give it one critique it's that the sauce was too sweet. I definitely plan to come back but hopefully when it's warmer and I can get a spot on the patio!

Yelp
Fun new place! Came in for dinner before a movie at The Main and that is a fine combination of activities let me tell you. I didn't have a reservation and that relegated me to bar seating, but they have a huge, full-service bar that is well staffed with lively personnel, so I can't complain at all. Food was pretty good. I had a Cubano that I liked a lot, it was big and flavorful. I also tried an appetizer of Crispy Garbanzo Beans, which are very light. Like, as in they weigh very little. I'd recommend doing something to spice those up. If a bottle of Sriracha were handy I'd have added a few dashes. Prices were mid-to-high for food. Next time I cone I'll probably try one of their fancier entries. I definitely will be back pretty soon, and I expect it to be popular because it's got a really fun energy.

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time tonight the food was decent. The service was bad. I sat on the patio with a few girlfriends and the server started out good but then he wasn't very attentive. He would never come back over and it was really hard to even get the bill to leave or even get a drink. I sat with Out a drink for over a half an hour. I probably won't return because of this. I was very disappointed with the service. I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time so I'm very disappointed.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing views and good service. Seems the menu changes frequently so don't set your heart on a specific item cause it might not be there when you go. Overall a great experience. I will definitely be making my way back again.

Yelp
The Cabana Club In Minneapolis is by far one of my favorite brunch spots! I am a sucker for eggs Benedict's and their arepa Benedict hit the spot for sure! Their steak and eggs were also a hit for my partner! Service was great as well we were seated immediately on a Sunday which was nice. The location is perfect! Such a pretty view of the city which we loved:) we will be back again for sure whenever we're in town!

Yelp
It would be criminal if we didn't take advantage of this gorg spring heat wave with a lovely patio meal. And our recent dinner at the cabana club was extra special because I got to celebrate Mother's Day with a visit from my wonderful mom. Upon being sat on the patio with a stunning view of the Mississippi and charming St. Anthony Main, my mom was greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco for the occasion (and no, you don't get a glass for every child you've birthed... trust me, she asked). Per the recommendation of our fabulous and eccentric waiter, we slurped on a couple of delicious tropical cocktails. There was plenty of shareable (or non shareable) food options to choose from, but I'm very please with our choices. The paella aranchini just barely outshone the others with its unique flavor and crispy exterior. The vibes, the service, the service, the food, the company all made for a delightful, warm Minnesota evening * Drink: Mexico City and Tulum * Food: brussel sprouts, paella aranchini, mahi mahi

Yelp
We came here for drinks and apps before a show - had to best time! The staff were incredibly helpful. Loved the Ibiza cocktail. The bread and butter board was SO good - my favorite was the citrus butter. The music and low lighting was such a vibe. And overlooking the city gave the perfect touch. Love this new spot!

Yelp
I love trying new places so I had to hit this spot. Really great location for restaurants and views of the city but finding parking isn't always the easiest. Dimly lit inside, felt very intimate. Cool red lighting for the bar so it stands out. Ordered a couple dishes and drinks. I really enjoyed the food and drinks I ordered. They looked good and tasted good. Fairly priced even though it does add up lol. The stand out of the experience was our waitress Gem. We couldn't decide between a few things and she gave great recommendations and explained food and flavors so we could make a choice. At the time of my visit they had only been open a week but it was a great experience for me and I will be going back soon!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Wow what a great space! I loved the open floor plan and the bar gave off tiki vibes. The huge windows are also great since St. Anthony main is a beautiful backdrop. Their cocktails run on the sweeter side, but they have done their "travel" theme very well. I tried the Tokyo, which strangely had a piece of spinach in it instead of basil (maybe they ran out? lol), but it used the right amount of sesame which could have easily been overwhelming. The food was great, I wish I had been able to try more but I'm currently not eating meat. The brussel sprouts were my favorite, and the shrimp was also very good. I wasn't a fan of the cauliflower though - it seems like they mixed together Indian and Thai curry flavors in one dish which I didn't think worked very well. Service was good but it took a very long time for our food to come out, despite the place not being very busy. I know they've just opened though so there might just be some growing pains. I absolutely will be going back and recommending to friends.

Yelp
Great dinner! Definitely make a reservation. It fills up and likely will continue to as the weather gets nicer. They have the patio open with a great view of the Mississippi. The chocolate cake is AMAZING! You have to save room for it, it was the favorite. We got the catch of the day which had good flavor and was mahi mahi. The garbanzo beans were a bit spicy so just be mindful. The brisket tips were tender but did have a horseradish taste in the sauce depending if that is what you fancy. Really good crispy fries. Lots of fun tropical cocktails. Parking is tricky with the busy St Anthony area so give yourself time.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! The flavor combinations are out of this world! A group of 3 dined in Friday evening First time for two of us The cocktails are so much fun! The food was incredible My favorite was the jerk chicken Excited to check out brunch soon! Service was impressive and the vibe was super chill
google avatar

Yelp
Fun spot on the river, great indoor and outdoor space! Tasty cocktails and food. Went for cinco de mayo yesterday! Picante Marg wasn't very spicy unfortunately, but still refreshing! Don't take rests outside, parking is paid on the street.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute interior and kind staff. Love all the unique drinks and variety of food. Favorited are the smash burger, mushroom pasta, and the pork sammy
google avatar

Yelp
I loove pina coladas and this place has an amazing one, I ordered two! Plus you get amazing views of the Mississippi River on the patio and good eats too!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is reallly good. Drinks were yummy as well. Nice views of the river and the beautiful downtown MPLS. My favorite was hands down the burger and Pho
google avatar

Yelp
Great patio view of the Mississippi river and the food was also good, my favorite dish was the chicken skewers which they used lemon grass for and it really addd a lot of flavor!

Yelp

Yelp
Wow! This place truly is beautiful inside and the location is perfect! Perfect views of the city of DT Minneapolis, river, and bridge (picture provided). Modern look across the establishment with a gorgeous red glow near the bar that really adds to atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome, friendly, suggestive, and attentive. Really did a great job! Sorry, I don't recall her name. Their cocktail is awesome because they offer high, medium, low, and zero proof options (pictured below)! Where can you even find that!? BTW, the brisket bites are FIRE ! Please get as a starter for yourself. Our drinks were delicious, flavorful, and we're crafted perfectly (pictured below). I really like the "passport" they give with your bill so that different customers can leave notes. That's a really cool idea! Overall, this place was awesome with any incredible location. They're going to thrive in the Summer and we'll be there! - Anthony

Yelp
The Cabana Club was a perfect unique and moody bar for happy hour tonight. The service was friendly and quick. We didn't order any food, but the table next to us seemed very happy with several dishes. The vibes are immaculate

Yelp
This place is so good!!! First time and won't be my last. The service was great and fast. Food was phenomenal (the tomato butter was DELISH). The low lighting inside was so relaxing and the view was to die for!! 10/10 experience!!!!

Yelp
Totally recommend this restaurant for a beautiful aesthetically, pleasing interior- they very much hit the tropical/vacation theme perfectly. The food also absolutely holds its own and is delicious. Check out my food insta for more @cutiexfoodie

Yelp
Been here twice, the food was decent but the vibes are really why you go. Loved being on the patio by the river on a warm sunny day. It was beautiful.
google avatar

Ashley N.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! Make sure to make a reservation because this place was packed! I highly recommend the smash burger. The cocktail menu is pretty extensive, so don't be afraid to ask your waiter/waitress to guide you to a selection. Without a dedicated lot, plan on street parking or utilizing a local ramp + a little walk.
google avatar

Raphaella

Yelp
My husband and I had date night here and it was so good with a great view. The food was so filling that I finished it there. We sat outside and when it rained the waiter was quick to move us inside to a seat.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Great vibe and food. Had the Cuban sandwich and sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. Good value.

Yelp
Cool new spot on Saint Anthony Main that opened just a few months ago. Went to happy hour and was not disappointed! We snacked on some fried garbanzo beans while consuming an aperitif shot and sangria before devouring the burger. Everything was tasty and service was on-point. We'll be back for more!

Ellie L.

Yelp
Was refused service because they decided my DMV-issued drivers license was a fake ID. I am WELL over 21. I have had this ID photo since 2021 and have NEVER had an issue being served anywhere before this. I understand being cautious, but it is insane to me that an ID accepted at 100+ other establishments over the past 4 years apparently looked fake enough to refuse service. They did not attempt to scan or examine any of the other unique features that the MN state ID has for exactly this purpose, instead citing my photo taken at the DMV in 2021 and the expiration date--2 years instead of 4, because I lost it last year so it was reissued 2 years before the expiration date--as evidence. The employee did not seek input from a manager or anyone else before making this determination, instead suggesting that I return to the DMV to ask them why the photo they took was apparently not up to their standards (?) Disappointing, embarrassing, and honestly a bit unprofessional in the way it was dealt with. Don't really feel like it's worth returning to try anything here again after that

Sue S.

Yelp
The smash burger at happy hour was $10 - and it was delicious. The sweet potato fries...also very good. The caesar salad could use improvement. We all thought the ingredients were tossed in a large bowl and served when needed. The croutons were large, very little cheese and barely any dressing. Would I return? No
google avatar

Alicia B.

Yelp
the happiest hour is at the cabana club! the specials are great and the menu has something for everyone! the butter board was savory and the rum drinks were spiced to perfection!

Jeff K.

Yelp
The good: Nice looking restaurant. Lively atmosphere. Interesting and tasty cocktails. Reasonable prices for an upscale establishment. Friendly server. Food was mostly tasty. The not so good: Beef Brisket bites were fatty, but hard to see the fat with the sauce. Ordered drinks and appetizers initially. Then ordered entrees 10 to 15 minutes later. Appetizers took quite a while to receive, main entrees came out 30 seconds after appetizers. Timing needs to be improved on food delivery. Server made a joke about not a lot of time in between the courses. No acknowledgement on mistake from management. Upon payment, given a total without a breakdown of cost. Seemed about right, but would be nice to know exactly what we are charged for. Would we come back: Maybe, mostly due to location, patio, windows and open feeling.

Catherine H.

Yelp
Seth was incredible!! Best service I've ever had 10/10 would come back just because of him

Madison R.

Yelp
The food was amazing, every thing paired very well! The music was calming yet energetic creating a moody and talkative atmosphere. Knowing the owner, i KNEW this would be a hit but i was absolutely blown away from this service!!!

Katelyn M.

Yelp
Loved this place! An eclectic mix of global foods, huge wine menu, and amazing staff and aesthetic. Our personal favorite was the jerk chicken, but the banh mi, cuban, and chicken skewers app were all delicious. Half-off wine bottles on Mondays

David B.

Yelp
Fantastic food and ambiance. The best location and view in Minneapolis. I've eaten there twice a week since they opened and have not been disappointed!!

Mary P.

Yelp
I will go out of my way to eat the chicken skewers at the Cabana Club. They've done something with their peanut sauce that is not normal in a great way. The skewer itself was a lemongrass stalk and was served with cabbage slaw that was perfect because it wasn't swimming in cream. The "Lexington" bourbon cocktail was so good I ordered 2.

Thomas B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first time here . Great deals during happy hour - loved the spicy toasted garbanzo beans. Cuban sandwich was so tasty and spouse liked the vegeterian options. We'll be back!

Nathan H.

Yelp
I went two nights in a row with work colleagues. Everything about it was 5 stars. The food is inspired. The service is top notch. And the ambiance is just right. I look forward to visiting again when the patio opens in the spring.
