The best secret restaurants and bars Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"The Cabinet of Curiosities is equal parts bar and scavenger hunt, in which the myriad oddities scattered around the room all contribute to an overarching story. The Lock is an intimate speakeasy within the Cabinet. To gain entry, a visitor must find the Locksmith and solve one of two hidden puzzles." - Janna Karel

One of the coolest speakeasies I've ever been to. Awesome atmosphere and great drinks! It's a two drink minimum and the first drink you pick from the menu and the second drink you answer questions on a card and they make a custom drink for you. All five of us absolutely loved our custom drinks, they nailed it!

Google
Intriguing and comfortable atmosphere with delicious well crafted drinks. We had 24hr monorail passes, and decided to make a short stop here for a drink. I am so glad we did! It was a great experience! There is also a "hidden" speakeasy, but we just had a drink in the main bar area. I loved absolutely everything about this place, and the very talented bartender mixed the best drinks we had during our time in Vegas!

The lock speakeasy was everything that I expected. I will recommend getting a reservation but we did not have one at the time, so finding the key was a must. If you do find the key, pick up the phone and call to get into the vault. The manager who was kind and courteous walked us through a series of vaults to crack a code to crawl into the speakeasy. Once inside you select your first drink off the menu and your second drink is based solely off a questionnaire with personal questions. The mixologist crafted some amazing drinks that were a bit pricey but they are served with a good amount of alcohol, in my opinion is was worth it. The 1920s mob theme was really cool and I loved every aspect of the speakeasy.

Amazing bar with super talented bartenders! The mixology class was the highlight of our Vegas trip! Dan and Chris rock!

I came here with high expectations. I mean, who doesn’t love a cocktail bar. I arrived and ordered an old fashioned. It was served in a plastic cup. Come on. I am not playing beer pong in college. Why am I paying $30 for a drink in a plastic cup? I feel like I should be playing a drinking game instead. Eventually half the space was carved off or a party, but that made it feel more like a chuck-e-cheese than anything else. Multiple parties arrived for the speakeasy, but everyone was turned away for various reasons. I don’t think anyone actually entered during the hour I was sitting here. Clearly they wasted a lot of people’s time. I wanted to love this place. I really, really did. But ultimately this space felt like a store in a 1990s shopping mall rather than a legitimate cocktail lounge or speakeasy. I’m so sorry, but this place is not worth the overpriced drinks.

Bernard treated the two of us right on a wonderful Christmas Eve foray to this vibe-y bar. Delicious cocktails masterfully mixed up with a friendly conversation and bright smile. Whether or not he meant to, he brought a lot of holiday joy into the night and treated us to a special time. Even helped us out when we were curious to explore the speakeasy Lock bar ‘next door’. Drinks are on the pricey-side but… Insert default saying: It’s Vegas. Go off strip if you want a $5 vodka soda. Come here for a slow sip of a cocktail that’s bold and delicate. I would probably avoid this bar on a busy night since it seems it’s peak enjoyment to be had is when it is quiet, chill, and steady-as-she-goes. The vibe is ‘curiosity shop’ meets ‘mysterious speakeasy’ without any real mystery, but still its fun, and I’ve been to FAR worse themed watering holes. I’ll remember this part of our Christmas Vegas trip fondly and that is mostly due to the exemplary service and quiet night, and that’s something to be said in a town where oftentimes nothing moves slowly and can be pretty rough and lacking in any form of decent customer service experiences. Anyone in charge should note that. One of the places you can go to in Vegas where a screen isn’t screaming at you to buy something right that very second. A touch of Old Vegas magic lives here, especially with its staff. Cheers, Bernard. Keep being yourself, because you’re a cut above the rest.

Google
Great location in the back of the Horseshoe Casino. The Cabinet is separate from The Lock but within the same door. The Lock requires reservations prior to arrival and is a 2 drink minimum per person. Drinks at the Cabinet are tasty, expected cost of $15-$20 each but worth it. Decent selection of bourbons. Staff was fantastic and professional.

Google
We were a group of 9 and paid for the VIP room. Entry into the speakeasy was a little silly with having to solve several puzzles that weren't difficult, and didn't really add to the experience. The idea that this was a speakeasy was undermined by the full bar in the waiting area. The waitperson was probably great on a good day, but we caught them on a day when they were not having a good interaction with the bar staff. So they were adequate when it came to the service provided, but not in the best of spirits. The VIP room was neat with seating for about 7-8 people. A couple of people had to sit on small ottomans with no back support. We were able to pair our phone to the speaker in the room to stream music of our liking. There were poker chips and a deck of cards so we played cards while we enjoyed the spirits. The drinks were fine, but nothing superb. The cards provided to make selections for our personalized drink had writing that was microscopic. PEOPLE, MAKE IT LEGIBLE, it's a dimly lit room. I think we dropped about $100/person plus the VIP reservation on top of that. I would take a pass if asked to go there again. Just the company of friends and family was the best part, and we could have done that in our suite.

Yelp
A puzzle to unlock the secret speakeasy? Beautiful, intricate, while interactive decor? And prohibition-style character with hints of the occult? Wish I had discovered this sooner. My partner and I stopped by for a quick drink before dinner. PEACHTREE SWEET TEA: S T R O N G. Don't let the playful name fool you-- this is straight up liquor with hints of peach. The fruity aftertaste is enough of a chaser. Only swung by for a bit, didn't get to explore the cabinets to my regret-- still enjoyed the overall experience. Staff are professional and friendly. Next time we'll make time to check every nook and cranny :P

Yelp
One of the best bars we have been to and sadly it was on our last day before our flight! Chris and another (sadly forgot to ask their name) were amazing bartenders. Since the husband is very particular about his cocktails, he put Chris up to the test and he killed it with each request. When Chris went on break and it was our time to leave, the other bartender came in and had a chat with us. They saw how much fun we were having and wanted to give my husband a taster of the types of drinks he makes. Its apparently a drink he has popularly made for his clientele and has been asked for the recipe for many times. I can taste why. Overall, definitely recommend! If you see Chris, stay and have fun! We will be frequenting this bar when we come back.

Yelp
I attended a mixology event as a team building activity. The mixologist & the 2 staff members were amazing. The place is intimate & beautiful. I do not drink but I found it to be very informative & entertaining. 2 drinks were created & served for our group then we were split up into 3 groups & created a drink according to their preference. This is a great way to spend an evening w/friends or as a team build activity.

Yelp
More and more I'm starting to fall in love with the charm of the unconventional. This was my first speakeasy experience and I absolutely loved it. Opting for a speakeasy experience here was like opening a treasure chest of new and exciting things. I loved solving the puzzles and gathering the clues to even get into the place. From what I understand the highlight of the speakeasy are the crafted cocktail drinks and the secret menus. The mixologists here whipped up not only delicious unique cocktails, but also delicious to the eyes! Everything was so aesthetic and gave me a feel of stepping back in to time with vintage antique furnishings. They even had the smell of what I would describe as leather chairs and Cuban cigars. something I always imagined a place like a speakeasy back in the 30s would smell like.

Yelp
Mysterious... My wife and I are walking to the monorail and see on the lower level "The Cabinet of Curiosity" Now me being a curious fellow, I'm open to the mystery and I'm intrigued by the speakeasy. After dinner my wife and I head towards the bar. When you first walk in there's a lounge area and a nice looking bar. But then there's a locked door?? The bartender said we need to make a reservation. I scan the QR code and head toward the telephone ... I say party of two please. The door opens and now we're inside a locked atrium. The hostess says you can climb thru and go the chicken way or figure out the clues to enter like a hero. Well my knees say no bending so we guess 99 percent of the clues. I'm thinking I can put her in a choke hold and get the last clue but that's not very sporting. My wife looks up, finds the last clue and we enter a new bar area. If you know Trader Sams at Disneyworld, it's the same concept. Cool bar / bartenders except the cabinet has a two drink per person minimum. I tell the bartender, I want strong drinks! I'm getting on the monorail so let's get to drankin'! Man.. that bartender was spot on! She made some crazy bourbon drink called: Pappa Brown Butta. I could have ordered 4 by myself! I checked into Yelp and got a free appetizer. The bartender was flustered and brought the manager over. He didn't understand the Yelp app so I explained there's a button to push to use the free item. Some people might scam and take a picture so make sure they push the button in front of you. I might be buzzed but I'm dropping knowledge son! We had a fun time at the speakeasy. I highly recommend doing this while in Las Vegas

Yelp
Unique bar and lots to explore throughout. Be sure to open drawers and check out the cabinets of true curiosities. Loved the ambiance and cozy seating nooks. Not your typical bar. Expect almost a living room experience with a flair of speakeasy. Bar tender was helpful and very kind. Drinks were creative and huge variety.

Yelp
What a fun little bar! The cabinet of curiosities has tons of curios to look at an excellent service. Our bartender Chris Little was exceptional. He showed us to our table and made two fantastic drinks. One was called in the blink of an eye it had whiskey, grapefruit and raspberry syrup and the other was the cabinets take on a Mojito. Both were really fantastic and we look forward to coming back to this nice dark bar. Apparently there's a speakeasy called the lock and we're going to try that out as well! Five stars!
google avatar

Khuong N.

Yelp
The lock speakeasy is inside this bar. The drinks at this bar is more on the sweeter side, at least the drinks on the menu. It's a full bar so the bartender is able to make any drinks you would want off menu. Chris was working during the time we went and he was great. Had cool conversations with him and he knows how to make the drinks really well. You order from a QR code or you can order from the bartender depending on where you are sitting.

Yelp
I enjoy speakeasies and this is one of the few I have visited multiple times. This time I was able to sit in with Daniel a master mixologist (as seen on Bar Rescue). What a great experience to learn more about how to craft a drink to YOU. When there's not an event going on, you are able to fill out a crafted cocktail card that ask you a series of questions about yourself. The bartender then crafts a drink based off your choices. The drinks are very delicious if I shall say. I was able to try the Apricot Manhattan! As I stated this place is an actual speakeasy where you have to find clues before you can actually enter. Very fun date night with you and a boo or just a group of friends. If you don't feel like the adventure, you can also enjoy a cocktail at the outside bar. They even have a secret room inside the secret room. I was told you can rent that room out as well for a more intimate setting.

Yelp
This was my 5th trip to The Lock speakeasy in the Cabinet of Curiosities at The Horseshoe Casino. We went to the mixologist class. It was outstanding. Daniel was our mixologist teacher. He is amazing and so knowledgeable. We learned so much. The cocktails were outstanding. We left with a souvenir apron, recipes and quite a buzz! I will definitely take more friends to this class. The ambiance in the regular bar area is quite intimate and interesting. The speakeasy is a must!

Yelp
Yelp check in = 10% of cocktails. We came here twice on this trip. Not on purpose, we just happen to be in the area. Quality/Quantity - Morning bartender was busy setting up for business. Not sure if they are tight on staff or just run lean and mean...? Always seems to be just one employee working the front. Evening bartender was cooler. Hung out with us. We ended up drinking 4 fat tires, more than we should. Happy hour is also available. We did not make it. Full bar, wine, cocktails, non alcoholic drinks, etc. Light snacks are also available. Atmosphere - Cool space/spot. See pictures. And can seat 70 people! We really wanted to come to "Lock," the speakeasy, but our schedule just did not allow it. Open 7 days a week from 1pm until midnight or 1am; Yelp's hours differ from their website. Their website has slightly conflicting hours, but they do have a disclaimer. Service - See above. Asked the evening bartender about the Yelp check-in, and he called the manager. The manager mumbled something... Then he left. We got a 90¢ discount, LOL. I guess he gave us a discount on one beer? The manager should have just told us that the Yelp check-in does not apply to beers and we would have been fine. He sure soured our experience. Personally, I would have honored it as we spent $40 + tip just on this second visit. Price - $40 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since August of 2022.

Yelp
Best speakeasy I've ever been to! Needed to fill in a few gaps during our Vegas stay and wanted to find a speakeasy to visit. This location was a little difficult to find. On google maps vs apple maps, it shows that it's either inside the Horseshoe or behind Paris. Google maps was accurate. It's located inside Horseshoe, inside the hidden vault of The Lock. It's best to make reservations and I simply found the reservation website via yelp by another yelper. The outside bar is unique as well. There were a lot of antique knick knacks that reminded me of collectibles a wizard would keep in his lair. The entrance is quite cool. You enter through a vault where you're given 2 forms of entry. I don't want to spoil the fun for new comers. The atmosphere is fairly dark and there are tons of couch seating inside along with barstools. There is a minimum of 2 drink per person and their drinks are fairly expensive. I like the "secret menu" that is tailored to your selection based on a series of questions. My secret menu was creamy and tropical. I also ordered the lavender hill which was also delicious. Their service was okay. There was maybe 3-4 groups inside and it was difficult to even get our waiter's attention.

Yelp
This place is so awesome, interactive and fun! And the cocktails are great, which is a plus! The speakeasy part is so awesome! You make a reservation and then you call the phone that's on the wall when you get there, you're then led into a room where they give you a narrative, and you have to solve the puzzle. When you saw the puzzle, you look into certain locks to figure out the code that you then put into one of the doors. You then open it and you crawl through to the other side, which is the speakeasy bar! So cool! Definitely check out the back room because the photos move, cocktails are great. Service was phenomenal and so much fun. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Big shoutout to Bernard & Justin!!!!! Bernard thank you for making the best drinks I have ever had!! Justin thank you so much for the tour, my gf and I will be back!! The drinks that Bernard made were incredible!!! I ordered a mojito and my date ordered festival of lights and both blew our sucks off. They came out fast, they were strong and tasted absolutely great!!! Later he made a peanut butter and jelly cocktail and it tasted smooth! Now I love whiskey, thank you! Ambiance is 2nd to none... There is so many things to look at and things that make you look 2-3 times because they're just interesting and different. I love the decorations and furniture in this place. The speakeasy is absolutely incredible!!!! it's like going into a time traveling portal. The VIP area is just STUNNING, beautiful mirrored ceilings, beautiful paintings on the wall and again the furniture is beautiful!!!! Service is without a doubt 5 stars!!!! Justin and Bernard are role models of what the service industry strive for. They honestly made me a lifetime customer and I will be back!

Yelp
We found ourselves in The Cabinet after a wonderful reservation at their speakeasy, The Lock. We ordered four PBJ shots (skrewball peanut butter whiskey and chambord). Four came out to $44....$11 each. We came back the next day since we were in the area and ordered the same thing. Granted, it was a different bartender so the shots were a bit different in presentation. This time, however, the total for four was $72!!!! $18 each. Both were good, but this was an insane price difference. I would never have paid $18 for a shot had I known that would be the cost. We enjoyed this place but that huge price difference left such a sour taste in our mouths. I would recommend sticking to on-menu drinks.

Yelp
So glad we found this spot during our visit while strolling thru the Horseshoe Casino. The bartender was fantastic- the drinks were top notch and made to perfection- and one of the better drink spaces we found. Friendly and quick service. Only one bartender but it's not a huge space. Fun environment with 'oddities' and using a QR code you get to discover fun and creative "facts". Wish we had time to explore the speakeasy in there but it's going to have to be at the next time... and there will be a next time.

Yelp
This is a fun little bar. It's located on the lower mall of Bally's/Horseshoe. It's easy to find. We stayed out on the exterior as the interior has a drink limit and we weren't in the mood to drink multiple overpriced cocktails The decor was vintage and all the drawers and cabinets have items to be explored. It was an interactive experience which was cool. The seating was cozy. The drinks take some time to make. The bartender was a bit slow (mostly because there is only one) but we weren't in a rush and didn't mind. It's a cool stop off but pricey for drinks (similar to all the other strip casinos) but I'm a local and it still stings a bit.

Yelp
Ambiance was fun and interesting. The place was quiet with only 3 people and 2 bartenders at 10pm. We, however, could not get any service. After waiting, we gave up and left. Went to Vanderpumps instead. Major improvement needed for customer service.

Yelp
This feels like such a true hidden gem. I was staying in the Horseshoe while in town for a conference and knew I planned to check out the Cabinet of Curiosities. I'm a (former) bartender and just from the bottle selection, I was incredibly hopeful about this place. The bar became our spot for three nights and did not disappoint. They have a small but great regular drink menu as well as seasonal. However, they can also make just about anything. They do make some fantastic Old Fashioneds and there are several tables, couches, and chairs to relax in. It isn't a large space, so keep that in mind. One night, there was a small party (probably 8-10 people) and the sound carries. They were loud enough that my date and I had to move to the end of the bar to try to have a conversation. There are some curiosity type items around the bar and you can look up the story in your phone. It's a cute feature. I appreciate a bar with plenty of bitters and creativity, and the Cabinet of Curiosities absolutely delivers.
google avatar

Shu Jin S.

Yelp
You'll want to pick up the phone, confirm your reservation and then proceed to play a brief puzzle game to enter the speakeasy. Hot tip: you have to crawl in one way, and you can walk in (normally, lol) in another way. It'll be obvious. The drinks (from their menu) were just ok. The second cocktail, where you choose the elements that you like, and the bartender makes something bespoke for you? THAT was a great drink. Of which I can't even recall what went in it, lol. If there's a way to get both drinks bespoke? Go for it. Service is great, and the ambiance of the place is fun.
google avatar

Tammy W.

Yelp
This is a bar outside of a bar, but unlike any other bar in Las Vegas. Sure you have a whole selection of alcohol, but what other bar allows you to satisfy your curiosity by opening all of the drawers and pulls? No other bar but this one. I know the artifacts are more like artifakes but it's still fun and a cool twist on the usual bar environment. I didn't go into the vault because there was a 2 drink minimum per person and 18% gratuity. I would've drank that on my own and tipped on my own. I'm not cheap but I just don't like being told what I have to do at a bar (or anywhere for that matter). So, I don't have a review for what's behind the door, but the outside bar vibe and service was great so you should definitely explore it if you're in or around the Horseshoe.
google avatar

Naomi S.

Yelp
This gem is located inside horseshoe at the bottom floor where the pool is! It is a great place to have a drinks. The bartender had great customer service and served us well. He made us a pomegranate mojito and a gold standard which were great in taste and very loaded. Both drinks definitely gave me a buzz. They have a bar set up and also couches to sit on. Inside they have a vault which leads to their speakeasy. We have yet to try but will try next. It is amazing that the bar provides an outside and inside bar for people who don't make that reservation. It really shows the thought and time they took to help everyone have a good experience. We went during happy hour and we spent way less than bars on the strip. I will be returning !
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Daniel the master mixologist was amazing, he explained the history and alcohol that they used, as well as the mixes and fresh fruit and herbs that were used for beverages. He had a great personality and his explanations as well as his drinks were awesome. His class was A+. Will go back anytime! Kaila was a great hostess and very engaged

Yelp
While I'm Vegas we thought we would stop and check out this place We were not disappointed Loved all the decor the ambiance was definitely a vibe Very friendly service Strong drinks We only stayed in the lobby part of the establishment We didn't make reservations to go inside the speakeasy Definitely next time

Yelp
Surprisingly good drinks in main bar and not too bad for Strip prices. Needs curtains to hide the bar from the traffic walking by. Fantastic 80s music kept us around for a second drink and the manager Justin was so impressive we will be booking the speakeasy next visit. Great guy!

Yelp
Alright so BOOM! My Girlfriend and I were like "dang, we want a drink on a random Tuesday at 9:30pm. We don't want to go to a gaming bar. Where to?" And so we start scrolling through Yelp when my girlfriend goes "speakeasy?" We haven't been to one since moving out to Vegas from Boston, and missed the ambience of one, so we had to check this place out. Like all locals, we were pretty bummed out to see it was on the strip.... But as long as you have your Nevada ID, first three hours was free for parking. We showed up to the first bar and was informed we had to make a reservation for the speakeasy, but luckily they have two slots left! We had to play a little puzzle style game to be able to enter which was cool, and then we sat down at a little table together and began our drinking journey for the night. I don't remember the name of my drink unfortunately, but mine was basically an old fashioned, and hers was called a Strawberry Whip . My old fashioned was easily, the BEST old fashioned I've had in Vegas. Balanced, intense, citrus notes, and just an all around drink I couldn't bring myself to put down. Her drink was absolutely amazing as well, it was sweet, strong, and an eye pleaser as well! The gem comes in the shape of your second drink. You fill out a card with a couple of questions and as long as you have no dietary restrictions, you allow the mixologist (who were legitimate artists cause WOW) to have total creative freedom. By this point we were pretty gone, not even going to lie to you, but I took a sip from my drink, and fell in love. It was smoky, savory, complex, I was just in awe. Her drink was some sort of mango type drink that was absolutely amazing as well. We got Well for our liquors, and for four beverages with the last one being a 10/10 experience for both of us, it came out to $130ish with tip (always leave 20% plus people!!!) Every last penny was well worth it. The ONLY REASON I don't give this place a 5, is cause there's no snacks. All that amazing liquor, and no snacks? Literally just missed the mark for me there, but then again, maybe it's for the best, cause we would've easily ordered another cocktail or two if we didn't start to get hungry haha. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Just to give you contacts this is going to be a part one and a part two of this review.. This is part one: The Cabinet. So if you go to the basement of the Bally's hotel, which is now the horseshoe, you'll come across a lot of different things. One of the things going to be a speakeasy situation that's called the cabinet of curiosities. I do enjoy a good speakeasy, if you've ever seen any reviews that I've done, you know that I hunt those down. You walk into a door that's right when you get off of the escalator and you'll come straight in. It has a lot of weird decor but it's not that bad it's kind of charming I guess. And a weird charming kind of way (you just have to see it for yourself lol). They don't have food but they have drink, and plenty of it... They have it all but look Mostly it looks like it's dark-skinned liquor. If you seen any of my other reviews you know that I really gravitate toward the old fashioned type drinks (the one true pure and superior cocktail). This one was solid, I have no complaints! I would definitely recommend. The old fashion had a very good balance of sweet in it so I feel like you really can't go wrong. It had a really big orange peel so it had a lot of flavor and had a heavy orange aroma, which definitely help to drink along, not that it needs to be helped along...but just saying that it was positive. What I order it again, yes! Part two: The Lock... NOW there's a whole other thing going on ... there's a speakeasy inside of a speakeasy called the lock. You have to go through a old school vault door to get through it. You have to make reservations so I was just making reservation to the vault area before you go in. But it's actually kind of a separate part of the establishment. The door is cool, has a rotary cell phone, it really looks neat and pleasing. Here's where it gets interesting. You will go ahead and use the rotary phone and they'll answer then I'll let you in the boat door. And then you walk in the room full of nothing but vaults and keys. And now it becomes a little mini escape room. You have to figure out what the number combination to get through the next door is. They'll guide you to all the clues you need, but you have to come up with the digits to be able to enter. After you get the four digits you will have two options, walk through the big safe or walk through the little safe. The little safety kind of crawl through, it's only a heavy step but it's not like you have to crawl very far. Of course I chose that option because I feel like that's the cooler way to do it. So I went ahead and did that and it made it and then now you come to a bar situation that has a small bar. The bar has maybe six chairs at it. Everything else is leather chairs and you have about maybe 10 to 15 different seats. So it's very small. They have a full bar near and the bartender make you fill out a form. The form would have a several questions you answer to figure out what type of drink you're going to be looking for. So there isn't really a menu necessarily, but they will try to match the drink to what you are answering. The questions are stuff like what's your sign and what do you prefer as far As sweet or savory. I answered my questions and handed my card off to the waitress and she handed it off to the bartender and I thought that was cool because now he knows enough to figure out what we like and what we don't like in this establishment period he came with a couple of drinks that were actually really good. But what I like the most was the fact that he came and sat down it had a conversation about what you like and don't like about the drink. He (Daniel) came and explain the drinking great detail on what it was and what he was envisioning. And then asked did you want to tweak it so did you like this Did you not like that, let me fix something better for you. I thought that was really great as far as customer service goes because he actually sat down and had a conversation versus just yelling from the bar. I would 102% recommended establish my period You should go out to the cabin of curiosities part, definitely do that. The bartender that was super friendly. He made a good old fashioned as I said. But make sure you come into the lock. But you need to make a reservation. There's a barcode you scan I was at the door so you can make a reservation to get in. I would highly suggest that. They said you really can't get in without it. You do that and you're golden. I love this type of spot. He really takes care on what you are doing and what you are wanting as far as a drink.

Yelp
Sadly, we didn't have nearly enough time to look through all of the cabinets and understand the full depth of the bar or the speakeasy behind the locked door. However, through the few minutes we were there, we found some great music, awesome staff, and plenty of things to peak my interest. You should definitely look in all of the cabinets to see what's going on - there is so much happening. I tried the autumn special - Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini - it was good. I wouldn't call it overly pumpkin or espresso - a great blend, but could definitely use some punch up in the pumpkin department, in my opinion. I'll be back to check on the other items and try some of the other specialty drinks!

Yelp
We showed up at 10 for the late night "reverse" happy hour. Only one bartender working; no wait staff. No way that one single bartender can handle making drinks, take orders, etc. It wasn't particularly crowded either, but a few more employees would have made it work. We gave up after waiting 15-20 minutes at the bar, hoping to make an order. Too bad... the place looked fun.

Yelp
I waited to go to this place, and I was so excited but very disappointed when I arrived and was told I needed a reservation. Nowhere on the website does it say you need a reservation. I did go in. You will have to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for a drink because I tend to only have one bartender, but it's neat, just to say you went

Yelp
The Cabinet is an awesome place. The ambiance is very inviting and the drink list has something for everyone. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. I've been here a few times now and would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
It's super easy to find the place. Puck up the phone that's to the left of the safe door, and they let you in. Then you are instructed to compete a puzzle that was super easy because before I could finish it, the gal tells me, "Good job! And the door opens. Kinda lame. Once inside, it's the typical dark speakeasy ambiance. Charlie chaplain is plating on the wall, and there are little puzzles at each table. The waitress is nice and then drinks get ordered. 2 drink minimum. No biggie except normal cocktails are 20 bux, and the custom ones where you answer questions on a form and get a custom cocktail made were 22 bux. Overall, the ambiance was nice but not spectacular, the drinks were tasty, but the value is 0%. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
This review in particular is for 'The Lock' - the speakeasy section of the bar. Although it's not my #1 favorite LV bar, I think it's one of the most fun bars on the Strip to date! Would recommend to do your best to make a RSVP before you go because the space is smaller and if you have any issues, just contact the bar ahead of time as the team tries to do their best to accommodate! The first part of the journey is to actually find the bar itself. You'll need to get into the Horseshoe casino and then go to the back, past the food court, and down the escalator. Once you go down, it should be to your right (you'll see a small key and bar area). Their IG page also has a video on how to find it as well. If you are there for the 'Lock', you'll need to go to the telephone in the back to let them know you are here. From there, you will be guided into a small puzzle area to 'unlock' the door. It's pretty easy and one of the hostesses was with me the entire time / pretty chill. I solved the puzzle and decided to go take the 'smaller' entrance. (I think it would be a little cooler if that secondary entrance led to another part of the bar / a separate floor, but get that with the current configuration, that would be probably really hard to do!) Once inside, you'll see a small lounge area and the bar itself. I loved personally the giant paintings in the back that opened up as staff door areas. I was seated at the bar and around 9:30PMish, things were still not super, super busy and was able to chat with the bar staff. My bartender was Daniel with help from Chloe. Super awesome folks and loved their passion and the conversations we had. I also loved that there was a 'secret drink' option where you filled out a short form ranging from how you're feeling to the type of environment you like - that will then lead the bartender to create a unique drink just for you! Like a bartender's choice but done on purpose and more uniform. I loved the drink I received and got a rundown of the thought process. (Note that technically you only get 'one' of these drink choices per visit.) I also got their take on a manhattan which was super strong. The bar did get super busy around 11PMish with little time for conversations at that point between the bar staff, so I ended up exiting out at that point. Do note there is a two drink minimum. Pricing ran me around $50 for two drinks. Again, big thanks to Daniel/Chloe in particular for making this a great experience. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
We went to "The Lock", a speakeasy within the Cabinet of Curiosities, and it was absolutely fantastic. We got a reservation, waited all of five minutes, and got to go through an escape room like experience to get inside. Our first drinks were from the main menu: I got Capones signature drink and my husband got something with vodka. Delicious, and I honestly loved how nice the glassware was! Our second drinks were made from a survey, and mine had Reposado, lavender, vanilla, and berry: it was perfection. I'm not going to post pictures of the venue to maintain some mystery but it's cozy, intimate, and perfect. There is a 2 drink minimum but I felt the experience was completely worth it! Finally: I give the bartender at CoC a ton of credit. A lot of people walked past him looking to get to the speakeasy, but he took the time out to make small talk and be very friendly to my husband and I, despite not serving us. Made the wait worthwhile!

Yelp
This is a really cool bar, and was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon, probably as it's more popular for nightlife. But that just meant more space for us to roam around and explore the "cabinet of curiosities" weird and interesting and random artifacts on display along the entire wall opposite the bar. My boyfriend and I are actually attracted to "weird" so this was perfect for us! Statues and figures, an old typewriter, jolly chimp, and stuff I can't even name. And there is plenty of seating, bar seats as well as lounge seating and sofas. To drink, I tried Curiosity Killed the Chocolate Cat, and it was perfect... so many layers of chocolate, it was like boozy chocolate milk, which is exactly what I like! Though there were a lot of drinks on the menu that appealed to me, so I would definitely return to try more. The bartender also told us about how The Lock works (the door to the speakeasy is at the far end of the Cabinet of Curiosities), how you need to solve a riddle in there, and how cocktails are personalized per patron. Cool, maybe next time, they don't open until 4pm each day.

Yelp
So, does curiosity tempt you? Do you feel like opening the box? Let's see what's behind that cabinet door, shall we! In tradition, "A Cabinet of Curiosities," was collections from historic sites, natural artifacts, or exotic items. They were displayed to showcase your social status. It's that flair of where you have been! These collections were used as educational means for those of a higher rank in life. We get to see a wide variety of pieces from all around the world. History is so rich, and it's on display here for you to see. Give into your curiously side, the best of a bespoke lounge is here. Speak up and speak out here your voice will be heard. The mixologist have created a drink menu here for everyone. If you want a drink designed "just for you," come on in. What's your zodiac sign? Fill out the card and get the perfect pairing based on the stars. Are you looking to hear stories from around the globe? Who isn't? The relics and curiosities that adorn the walls have a story. Let the joy over take you, life is a great gift with journaling still to pen. The curiosities here come from around the globe. Every artifact was once useful. Hear the stories that dagger encountered. Look at that elephant tusk. Where did it come from? The butterfly collection that was so meticulously made. Drinks that are made based on your place in the stars. Grab ahold of wonder. Let's see where it take us!

Yelp
Speakeasy in Las Vegas, as they have many! This one is located in Horseshoe, formally known as Bally's. It is down near where the Real Bodies exhibit is and the Twilight Mini Golf. When you arrive, go to the phone on the wall and pick it up. This is where you let them know you are there (We made reservations and this was how we were able to get in) Then we entered another room where we had to solve some puzzles, very neat! Lastly, we cracked the code and made it into the Speakeasy! There is no dress code according to their website and they do allow walk-ins on availability. The venue is small(can hold up to 70 people, intimate, and dark in lighting. As of now, the hours are 12pm-12am and until 1am on Friday and Saturday. *Subject to change so always check on their website. Mocktails are offered for those of you that don't drink like myself! :) Even non drinkers can enjoy a nice speakeasy with friends and family without feeling the pressure of drinking alcohol. They also have a seasonal menu if you are feeling festive! :) If you don't know what you want, they have a card(secret menu) you a fill out and depending on your answers, the mixologist will whip you up something special.

Yelp
Fine little bar on the lower level at Bally's. Nice unique things to look at and very comfy seats to sit on and enjoy a drink. Remember, you will be paying Las Vegas prices when you are here so a glass of wine and a cocktail were $27 but the wine was good and the drink was made well. The bar is the front to The Lock speakeasy that is located through the giant safe door in the corner of the bar. You will want reservations for that but it is fun to watch people try to figure out what is going on the whole time as well.

Yelp
My husband and I had an incredible time at the mixology master class with Daniel Pinsky. It was by far the highlight of our Vegas trip! We had a blast learning about the history of tequila and cocktails, and the drinks we had were among the best we've ever tasted. Daniel's energy and expertise were outstanding, the vibes were immaculate and the whole experience was truly exceptional. I highly recommend this class to anyone who has the chance--it's a 10/10 experience! The place itself is also pretty awesome and all the employees were super nice and attentive!

Yelp
My friend and I were super excited to try this place because of the uniqueness of the bar. We also came for the nice comfy chairs so that we may relax and drink. That's exactly what happened. The bartender seemed to love working as a mixologist, I could tell by the way he shook the drinks he was making. We totally annoyed the heck out of him but he handled it with care and grace. We liked the bar but don't think we would go back again. The drinks were pricey but the bar and the drinks were nice.

Yelp
Place was nice, not that busy. Many spots for pictures. Strong drinks. It's a good place to check it out. Inside was a bit dark.

Yelp
This review is for the speakeasy located inside of this place. We overheard that it's been open only for a few months. We came here for cocktails before dinner and had a pleasant experience. We luckily got last minute reservations, but while waiting multiple came by and got turned away because they were booked for the night so definitely get reservations before coming here. Inside is what you'd expect a speakeasy to look like. Our favorite part of this was the card they give you to fill out with your choices and the mixologist mixes a special drink for you based off of that. We loved our drinks and definitely recommend.!

Yelp
Love this unassuming, intimate speakeasy/bar on the lower level of Bally's. My husband and I stopped by after a show and it was the perfect place to get a nightcap. You have to make a reservation to get into The Lock (the speakeasy), which we were able to do the night before. You get through by getting a password (instructions at the bar) and solving a quick puzzle. Loved the interactive aspect of it even if the puzzle didn't really take that long lol. The cocktails were really good. They are pricy - we got two drinks each and ended up paying around $116 plus tip. We loved the secret menu, which is basically a custom cocktail based on a few questions you answer. I thought that was so creative, and I love what our mixologist put together. The signature cocktails we got -- Smoke and Mirrors and Love Me Pink -- were also very good, but I highly recommend trying out the secret menu. Also the service is bomb which made the experience even better for us. Our server Cece was amazing and so hospitable. Highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
Horrible service or should I say lack of service. Two bartenders sat behind the bar refusing to move. Straight up rude and disrespectful customer service. This place is a joke.
