The Best New Restaurants in NYC to Try This Summer

"An East Village vegan spot from Ravi DeRossi alum Ravi DeRossi and chef Shenarri Freeman that channels Southern soul cooking—hearts-of-palm 'salmon' cakes, jerk-seasoned macaroni and cheese, and fried lasagna inspired by a family recipe—served at an eight-stool chef’s counter with tight, communal seating. The intimate setup and comforting, nostalgic menu have made it a small but spirited draw." - Dina Litovsky

Hope no one ever move below Apt 214 they constantly move drug attics in this apartment 214 and the noise is unbelievable. The parking is terrible. Real tight spaces and tenants smoke weed in the hallways. They don’t enforce anything. Welcome to Virginia Section 8. Nothing quality about these apartments. The elevators are always down. I can pay less than this in the hood and get the same results.

Sharen at the front desk is racist and apparently undereducated if not entirely uneducated, yet she acts superior and treats the low-income residents in the building like trash while acting like a puppet to the management. Avoid moving here; it's a nightmare. Packages get stolen. The parking is a mess, staff ignores issues, and the poorly insulated walls make it uncomfortable. The glossy brochures are deceptive—they treat you well until you sign the lease, then deliver the bare minimum. Leaving requires a 60-day notice and a 2-month rent termination fee. Find a better place.

Although the property and units are beautiful, the staff is very rude and very little help. The elevator has been out for weeks with not ETA on repair, LARGE growing cracks in the walls of the units and leaks In the garage. Wesley Housing staff on-site say that they "Don't work for the building" little to. NO communication with residents, community activities are very poorly run and canceled altogether, the office is often closed due to staff leaving very early or just not showing up at all. Takes FOREVER to get things fixed. This is a candid review to please keep these things in mind. If conditions improve I will update**, it just doesn't feel safe or like a community. Very disappointed. I've included photos of just a few crackas they say it's from settleing but these people seem SHADY *Update 1/5/24 Only got worst. Staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing most of the time. Cracks leaks and repairs still not address and the freight elevator still doesn't work. They also increase rent but the community is in shambles.

After a month of living at this apartment complex I came across multiple issues that can be share amount the community living within. Parking is mainly one of the problems, specially if you own two or more vehicles, forcing many people to park in the streets and that's not always guarantee given the fact that every parking spot in the vicinity is own by a different property. I think an additional fee for parking would be beneficial for many. Secondly this community claims to be part of the AHP (affordable housing Program) however the rent is about the cost of living, which is unfortunate because if your were looking to apply for rent assistance, you most likely won't qualify. Lastly, this is an issue related to my apartment but I hear from other neighbors that the experiencing the same issue, the apartment runs pretty much by electricity, which in a part can explain the cost of the issue, however I submitted a maintenance request a month ago because the circuit breaker for my living room keeps tripping even if I have a single thing plug in, also one of the outlets for our room doesn't seem to be working. I have address this issue multiple times and I'm still waiting for this famous electrician to come look at the issue. I'm grateful for Iliana and the management team for all the assistance, but beside that I'm disappointed with the level of disregard is put in solving my issue. Hope you find this review helpful.
