This place was fun and a convenient breakfast spot for Burlington. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere inside was quirky and fun. Inside was packed with people. The food was good, although I will say the portions were ginormous. None of us were able to finish our sandwiches. Also, the doughnuts were extremely hard. Perhaps that’s the style of the donut, but they were hard to bite into. The flavors were good, though, as was the coffee!

Absolute must try. Everything here is vegetarian and no real meat is used. The service was amazing, very cheerful, patient and helpful staff. Don’t worry if there is a line and it’s packed because it moves fast. Highly recommend getting the fried “chicken” egg sandwich. Incredible. My partner ate the sandwich that had harissa in it, this also delicious. I don’t think there are bad choices here. The biscuit was very good but I do wish they had non spicy jam options (love spicy but not for my biscuit topping). I’m still dreaming about this fried “chicken” sandwich and can’t wait to go back again.

Google
Service was great everyone was very friendly. Food was good but definitely huge in size we shared one sandwich and donut between two people and were full. The donuts are 10/10 and sandwich was good too but be warned it’s impossible to eat. Trying to bite it was not happening and when trying to cut it the whole thing kind of fell apart. Still good but beware you cannot eat this sandwich standing up or without cutlery.

Everything about this place is A++++. The staff is always so cool and collected while pumping out delicious and unique food. It’s my favorite quick bite when I want to be in and out but it’s also so nice to sit for a while and listen to their awesome playlist. We are so lucky to have the Cafe Hot in Burlington. I highly recommend to all locals and visitors.

Let’s start with service: Travis was so careful and helpful when we mentioned the special diets in our party. He walked us through all the ingredients and found the perfect solution for those dietary restrictions. He even made sure the kids in our party left full and happy. It’s not an exaggeration to say it’s the best service I can recall receiving basically anywhere. 10/10 no notes The food is so ridiculously as well with large portion sizes for the price. Everything we had from the Nashville hot (get the murder sauce and have them lean into it) to the wraps, the tostadas and even the donuts were incredible. The vibes in the restaurant were immaculate as well. I don’t write a ton of reviews but this one was so well deserved! We will be back for sure and hope to get Travis taking care of us again .

The menu is unique, and full of tasty flavors. We got the Raven Sammich and the Breakfast Sandwich. Highlights were the recommendation for the griddled cheese, and the raven and harissa sauces were fantastic! Fun quirky atmosphere, and the only reason for 4 stars was the volume of the music - made it a little hard to hear our names called. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Google
Cafe HOT is a vibe. The second we walked in the staff was extremely friendly and patient. My family and I had spent the weekend in Vermont and were recommended here for the food, which was amazing. The name of the sandwich escapes me but it was a hot chicken sandwich with honey on a biscuit. The portion was generous and a cold brew. It was ready quickly and absolutely divine. The music selection was on point and added to the great atmosphere. The only side note that doesnt affect my personal experience is pricing - on the higher side but as a wise person once said "You get what you pay for" - I definitely would go back.

Delightfully off-the-main-hubbub delicious veggie/vegan deep fried salty fast food place… cool atmosphere and music and the staff are chilled. They serve no meat Surprisingly tasty buns and burgers And they have a cool selection of comics to read as you chill. 😎

Yelp
Yes! First visit to burlington and stopping in here for breakfast made me feel both at home and also like I found something uniquely burlington. The inside is kitschy and fun, staff are warm and helpful. I had the bastard bing with some pickles and chili jam, super complex and delicious. I didn't need to eat the whole thing but it was delicious so I did.

Jacklyn K.

Yelp
HOT FRIGGIN DAMN! The number 8 on a biscuit was one of the most unique flavorful delicious breakfasts I've had in the hottest of minutes. The chicken fried egg is culinary genius and truly is better than meat. The pickled veg and tartar sauce added an amazing punch of flavor! I was sooo sad when it was over and even considered going back the next day for breakfast. I will say the signature biscuit donut fusion "bonut" wasn't for me- just the texture a bit stodgy. Counter service and food came out quick.

Yelp
Great breakfast sandwiches! This was our last stop before leaving Burlington. I got the d.i.y. egg and biscuit sandwich with cheese. My husband got the brakefast sandwich. You really can't go wrong. They all seem to be quite hefty in size. The brakefast sandwich has this amazing griddled cheese and miso mayo. My egg, cheese, and biscuit sandwich was more simple but very filling and delicious. The cheese was melty and folded into the egg. The biscuit is the true star. Normally I avoid biscuits because they tend to be dry. This one was remarkably buttery and flaky. Service was super friendly! Good amount of seating inside.

Dyamond D.

Yelp
This was one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to. I think the originality of the menu is what makes this so good. I wasn't sure what to order so the cashier was able to help me decide and I was very happy with my order. The brakefast sandwich was a good twist on a standard breakfast sandwich. I liked the harissa addition. The boughnut was very very tasty. As someone who doesn't really eat sweets or enjoy pastries I thought it was a perfect mix of a doughnut and a biscuit. And the hot chocolate.... I think it might've been the best hot chocolate I've ever had. I got the maple cinnamon hot chocolate and will order it EVERY single time I visit. If I was a resident of Burlington I could see that I would be a regular customer.

Gaby H.

Yelp
This definitely deserves 5 stars and one of the best breakfast spots we've found! We each ordered a brakefast sandwich for an entree and decided to get a box of biscuits to try them out. The brakefast sandwich was superb. Not only does it photograph well but it was delicious. This was definitely curated to make for the perfect bite. The egg was thick and fluffy and enveloped in a crunchy griddled cheese that almost had a texture of a crispy bacon. The harissa, miso mayo, and fresh herbs elevated this sandwich to seat it apart from the typical breakfast sandwich. I would highly recommend! We are from the South so we take our biscuits pretty seriously. I was hesitant about ordering them as I did not want to be disappointed and I am always scared of getting a hockey puck. However these were an incredible surprise. I wouldn't come in expecting this to be a Southern biscuit because it is not that. But it was flaky, buttery, and fluffy inside. What made this stand out were the spreads that came with it: Local Butter, Maple Chili Jam, and Hot honey. And when they say hot, they mean it!! The honey definitely carries more heat than anticipated. For us, that's great.

Yelp
Very good sandwich but to be honest next time I would get without the Harrissa. The Harrissa seasoning was so salty once I peeled that layer back a bit (it's that brown wrapped layer) I was able to enjoy the sandwich much more. The restaurant itself was super cute. Perfect for the veggie and vegan eaters since they don't serve any meat at all. I got the impossible sausage patty on my sandwich. Highly recommend that add on. So meat lovers be aware. They also had cute comic books you can grab to read while you eat with your meal. Though my sandwich was too salty I would go back to try some of their other menu items.

Yelp
The best breakfast place in Burlington Vermont. If you are from out of town, this is a shop you must visit when you come here. The service is excellent and the staff members are friendly and can answer your questions on menu items even when the line builds up (and a line will build on the weekends). The outside is quaint and unassuming and the setup is like like a coffee shop. There is ample seating on the right side of the restaurant with bathrooms for you. The coffee is good but nothing to write home about but you'll need a cup to go with their donuts which are excellent. They are thicker cake style donuts that are layered. We bought a classic glazed and their chocolate lime flavor and the flavors were excellent. Personally, I thought that the texture was too heavy, however if that is how you like your donuts (I'm a raised yeast donut guy myself), you will love them. The highlight here is their vegetarian breakfast sandwiches. You would never really assume they were vegetarian unless you were looking out for that. On our run we bought the The Raven and The Number 8 special. Both sandwiches were excellent with a good balance on flavors. They are massive sandwiches, if you are not a heavy breakfast person, you could share one and a donut and be happy.

Yelp
Vermont's best breakfast sandwich, and it's not even close. We are not living through an easy chapter in history. Inequality yawns ever-wider, and one consequence is that few people are cared for well enough in any given job to do it at any level of excellence. Service and product quality are often low when eating out, and I can't even be mad about it because I understand that many service workers are barely making ends meet. It is into this context of ongoing disappointment that Cafe Hot arrives in comparatively utopian fashion. Artifacts of Star Trek memorabilia are the first hints of their idealistic project, swiftly followed by exceptionally friendly, enthusiastic service and delicious, high-quality food prepared to order. I've never seen anything quite like it. The menu is no-kill, which is a great reframing of what others might call "vegetarian." I like meat quite a lot, but its absence in no way detracts from the excellence of the final product. The breakfast sandwich is perfectly executed. Instagram ready. Not because we're all influencers, but because we all deserve something nice in our lives. More than a pretty face, the details are exquisite. The tender milk bread bun, the fresh avocado option, the crispy layer of griddled cheese wrapping your egg... it all comes together as more than the sum of its parts. I was DELIGHTED. Don't miss the treats, either. The biscuit donut is WILD. Layered and dense, not quite what you're expecting from something donut shaped, but completely delightful in its carby indulgence. The GBC kinda reminds me of the world's most perfect lemon bar, minus any lemon flavor, if that makes any sense. It's just so perfectly textured and delicious. You've never had anything like it. Note to Cafe Hot: I would set up a direct deposit into your bank account for a lemon version. The 4.8 rating is entirely deserved. Nobody does it like this.

Yelp
Worth the hype! We got the bastard bing and chief in sandwich and both were so good. We couldn't believe there wasn't any meat in the chicken sandwich, it was very impressive. The biscuit was also tasty. The staff was very nice and this place is definitely worth stopping by!

Elva V.

Yelp
Best breakfast sandwich I everrrrrr had!!! Great music, service and vibe!! Celebrated our son's 18th bday her and they generously gave us a birthday donut!

Le Critic M.

Yelp
This is a public service announcement: If you want your palate's standards ruined for the next 24 hours, go here and order whatever it is the basterd bing is. The basterd bing promises a novel flavor and texture combination that will make you look at all your other favorite foods and ask, "Why am I eating this instead of a basterd bing?" You've tried breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, breakfast platters, deconstructed breakfasts, etc. But have you tried the basterd bing? I just inhaled mine, and am seriously considering tucking my dignity safely away in the glove box and going back for another. Maybe I'll wear one of those disguise eyeglasses with a goofy mustache attached? This is the sort of insanity you introduce into the world when you serve something like this.

Deborah L.

Yelp
Good, dense food. The GBC was AMAZING and had a lot of powdered sugar. The donuts flavorful and tall. Biscuits were crispy and delicious. The number 8 special with the chicken-fried egg and pickled zucchini was a rockin' blend of flavors packed in to a poppy seed bun. W for the win!

Giovanni F.

Yelp
BEST donuts I have ever had. Not sure what their secret is but I don't even eat sweets and my gf made me try their donut and it was a life changing experience. Love it! Audrey & Giovanni

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Delicious food always! Go with a friend and get a bastard bang and a sandwich and split. You won't regret it.

M.N. C.

Yelp
The chicken fried egg sandwich is amazing and so well balanced with just the right balance of acid and texture! Vibe is great and decor is perfect. Donuts are delicious and we need all the good donuts we can get in this town. Service was warm and friendly. Been 3 times and it's been consistently good.

Yelp
Had breakfast at The Cafe HOT on Sunday morning. A funky morning spot with a lot of twists on breakfast staples. Quality: A cafe that is trying out some fun things with their breakfast sandwiches. The Brakefast Sandwich, included crispy cheese, egg, harissa, herbs, and miso on a milkbun. A lot of unique flavors hit at once. The Number 9 was potentially even better with hot honey and a chicken fried egg on a biscuit. They also have some great coffee options. Quantity: Solid size sandwiches. Value: $3-$6 for Coffee Beverages. $11 for the Brakefast Sandwich. $10 for the The Number 9. Ambiance: The Cafe HOT is a coffee and breakfast sandwich spot in Burlington. The unique logo really stands out, when walking by. They have a few tables set up outside, then a small dining room inside. You can order inside or at a small window. Crowd: A good number of people eating in and taking food to go. Service: Friendly, but still COVID restrictions in place. Parking: Plenty of street parking.

Josh W.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal. The whole menu is vegetarian but it is incredible! I am a meat lover and I could not believe it! The service was super fast and the staff are really nice! Cannot go wrong with anything in the menu but if you get the sandwich with the chicken fried egg you will be very happy! Very reasonable prices too!

Jill C. J.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of donuts but I'm still dreaming about the " Bonuts." Lively service and that magical unicorn--a good extra dry cappuccino. Simply awesome.

Samantha P.

Yelp
The number 8 is the most unique and most delicious breakfast sandwich I have ever ate. Wow, words cannot describe it accurately enough. Chicken fried egg was the breakfast staple I never new I existed but now need. Additionally, the espresso was phenomenal - I had a flat white and it was perfect. Last, but certainly not least, the person that took our order was genuinely the nicest human - helped us customize our order with the perfect little adds for each of us. I added avocado and hubby added hot sauce (per him the perfect amount of heat). Honestly a kick a$$ place - favorite spot we tried in Vermont, perfect ending to our trip.

sydney t.

Yelp
WOW- a must, the number 8 or 9 fight for my favorite. Biscuit is amazing texture so prob have to give it to the number 9 as my top spot. The chicken fried EGG?!! The first and only place I've seen it and it is genius. Came here for the first time a year ago and recommend it to everyone I know visiting the area.

Yelp
I was planning a trip to Burlington and I decided that I wanted to indulge my sweet tooth a little bit. I searched online for "best doughnuts in Burlington" and The Cafe HOT came up multiple times. I'll admit that I was slightly apprehensive given that they make "bonuts" (a doughnut made from biscuit dough) rather than a "traditional" doughnut, but the unique flavor offerings and the general vibe I got from their website helped to persuade me to try. And let me tell you- I am VERY glad that I did. When I first arrived in town, I was hungry after the drive, so this was actually my first stop. The online ordering made it very convenient. I saw that they had a lemon poppyseed vegan bonut on offer and I couldn't resist that since that is one of my favorite flavors. The bonut was VERY good. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. It wasn't greasy at all, but it certainly wasn't dry, either. The star of the show, however, was the chicken fried egg sandwich. I sort of impulse bought it because I'm not actually a big egg guy, but man oh man, this was one of the best sandwiches I think I have ever eaten. I don't know how they do it, but that fried egg patty tastes exactly like a piece of breaded and fried chicken. There was a bite or two of the thicker sections where I started to pick up some egg texture, but overall, if I had been doing a blind taste test, I would have assumed it was a full-on chicken sandwich. It's easy to lose focus on the egg patty, but the toppings on this sandwich were absolutely incredible as well. This may be one of my favorite sandwiches ever. And finally, to wrap this up, there's probably no better indication of a place being great than feeling compelled to go there the very next day, right? I think so, at least. And that's exactly what I did. The second day, I got the non-vegan "classic" offering bonut that seems to be the mainstay flavor- Espresso Glaze. While I really enjoyed the vegan bonut offering, I definitely preferred the non-vegan version. There wasn't a huge difference, but the general texture of the non-vegan version was much better for me, personally. And then just for good measure, I had to try the biscuit sandwich. Again, the egg patty was delicious, and the biscuit was really, really good, too. And of course you can't go wrong with hot honey. Just enough heat for my nose to run a little bit without feeling like my mouth was on fire. I will absolutely stop here any time I am in Burlington. The price point is great, the business itself seems to be done the right way, and the food was delicious. Give The Cafe HOT a try!!

Denise C.

Yelp
Wow. If you're looking for the best breakfast sandwich in all the land...this is it. I didn't even miss bacon or sausage (no meat). The way the cheese is griddled and crispy really ties the whole sandwich together. If you like spicy, I would recommend adding the hot sauce. I went with the basic breakfast sandwich and it was anything but basic. Also tried the espresso bronut, but after the sandwich didn't have room for more. Delicious.

Melissa M.

Yelp
The raven breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious. Quick and friendly service despite being constantly busy.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
Got there right when they opened on a Sunday and was overwhelmed despite researching the menu extensively before coming in lol. Staff was immediately welcoming and had no qualms about giving me the rundown on their offerings. Ended up getting the brakefast sandwich, my partner got the raven. Freaking GOOD. Staff and overall vibe really sold it for me as well as the delicious breakfast. Before you leave, get the GBC, do it and thank me later!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
An interesting sandwich spot! With a cool and casual atmosphere to match the vibe, I highly recommend dropping by for a bite and a brew.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Love the sandwiches especially one with honey. Latte was great. Love that or is vegan

Paul V.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast creations are served here. My dining partner and myself agreed this was among the best breakfast creations we've ever had. We shared a breakfast sandwich and the bastard bing! We honestly didn't know everything they contained(check out the online menu) but the combination of flavors in each creatio. was extraordinary! The breakfast sandwich was a fried cheese wrapped scrambled with 2 types of sauces on a delicious bun! My dining partner wasn't sure what was in the breakfast bing since it was an explosion of various flavors. We had a cider donut which was excellent as well. Coffee was very good! Service was very friendly and fairly quick. Atmosphere was okay, but music was a bit too heavy and way too loud for breakfast! Highly recommended for one of the best and unique breakfasts you'll ever have!

Nikita S.

Yelp
this place was such a great find for breakfast in Burlington. Small menu but very unique and clearly well thought-out items. I got the raven which was excellent - the cashier was kind enough to help me pick between multiple options and pointed out the unique trait of the raven being the tortilla in the middle of the sandwich which gives a lovely crunch. Coffee was good too and prices were reasonable for the size of the sandwiches. I would go back!

Sheridan S.

Yelp
We were quite intrigued to try this place after discovering their "chicken fried egg" and reading all the rave reviews and they certainly did not disappoint. We got the brakefast sandwich (which my husband ended up eating because "fresh herbs" included cilantro, which I wasn't aware of and really hate) and the number 8 (which is how I'd prefer to eat all my eggs from now on, completely unrecognizable as eggs and better than any chicken substitute I've had!). The sauces and flavors were sooo good. We also tried the coffee and blueberry doughnuts - they were very dense but great flavor! Really friendly service as well. Honestly, recommend going in here just to check out the decor if you're in the neighborhood - those folks are creative.

Amy U.

Yelp
Such a great place! They know my daughter (Cassandra!) the greeting she gets when she walks in is so sweet! She has food allergies and she is able to enjoy many items from their menu. Very distinct Flavors and anything I have tried from there is very good. I will be stopping back next time I am in Burly!!

Lucy Y.

Yelp
It's been a while since my last visit, so I was excited to see new menu items! Breakfast Sammich - same delish crispy cheese-skirted egg sammich, add avocado, as my last visit! Hot Honey Chicken Fried Biscuit - whoa. This thing I must write home about. A freshly baked, crispy-edged biscuit, with a battered & chicken fried folded egg omelette, & drizzled w/hot honey. A MUST get! Bastard Bing - another whoa. A tortilla (bing) wrapped around so many tastes & textures that every bite is a little different - crunchy, sweet-spicy, cilantro-herby, savory & chewy. Another MUST GET. Black Sesame Mochi Cake - a slice of black sesame mochi with toasty sesame seeds encrusted on it. Crispety-chewy in each bite, the perfect mildly sweet treat! I ordered ahead online, & it was all ready on the dot as promised. Super easy ordering, friendly window service, & delicious food. Exactly what every morning should look like!!

Cierra D.

Yelp
The Cafe Hot was great! Amazing service, great food I would recommend their breakfast sandwich so sad I'm just visiting I would have this every week

Cecy L.

Yelp
Live this place. I was actually very surprised, there's a bust of flavor in their vegetarian sandwich soooo good

Allison C.

Yelp
We were told to check out The Cafe Hot on our visit to Burlington, and we really couldn't have picked a better first stop. We met Travis at the window, and he was super friendly and welcoming. He walked us through the menu, and we decided on their signature breakfast sandwich and some bonuts. The bonuts are really a holy matrimony between donuts and biscuits.. I think we fell in love. The creamsicle chocolate chip, espresso glaze, and mint chocolate chip were all great. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Burlington that they at least make a stop for bonuts!

Orrin C.

Yelp
Great food, considering the 'Number 8' I ate, but just awful, horrible music... Even if I could, I likely wouldn't ever come here again, given this "vibe."

Callie R.

Yelp
WOW!!!!! I have been wanting to come here for weeks and I finally made the trip for a little pre-finals studying treat. I got the number 8, it's a chicken fried egg!! I don't know how you chicken fry and egg but keep doin what you're doin. other friends had the biscuits with hot honey and the breakfast sandwich with miso! yum! Server was super nice and made it an overall amazing experience. I love you cafe hot!!!! p.s. it said it was closed on monday online but we went and it was open so give it a shot!

Preston M.

Yelp
Wow! This is definitely a Vermont treasure. After living here from Texas, I was a little disappointed and underwhelmed by a lot of the food options in Vermont. Most of the good food here is Nepalese, Thai, or Vietnamese. Cafe HOT is an exception to the rule here. Their homemade hot sauce is exceptional, and the sandwiches are fantastic. I also had a maple donut that was incredible as well--it was doughy in the center, slightly crispy on the outside l, and flaky throughout. The breakfast sandwich was erupting with flavor. It's a cardinal sin to visit this place and to not order the hot sauce on your sandwich.

Jorgen D.

Yelp
it is high time that I review this place. i will preface this review with the fact that I was a regular here, like the most regular, regular as in there was a point where I went every single day. I've been there over 100 times easily. I've since moved out of Burlington, and yearn for the café HOT. daily. Food: pure wizardry, my favorite items were the bonuts, Basterd Bing(make it vegan) and the raven. The Bing is just the perfect mixture of texture and flavour. The texture is just amazing, the crunchy chip in the center surrounded, and fresh crispy red cabbage, partner with a combination of seeds and soft perfectly ripe avocados. It just feels good in your mouth. The flavour depth of the Bing is bonkers, the hint of sweetness from the hoisin paired with miso gives you an umami explosion. The pickled red onions give it a nice sour flavor. Lots of punchy, intense flavors that's then cut through with avocado, and herbs, it just works. Bonuts: if you love biscuits or donuts, you'll love these. They've really nailed the southern style biscuit, and then they top it with so many wild glazes that I would have never thought. Rhubarb basil? Get outta town. Mexican hot chocolate, yeah they've done it. Maple caraway!? Delicious. My all time favorite is lavender dip. Coffee program: just like their food menu they've very meticulously picked coffee that stands up to the intense flavours. Their baristas are well trained and make fantastic coffee. You cannot go wrong with anything on their coffee menu. (Not coffee but the beet lemonade is the perfect refreshing summer drink) Service: extremely friendly and efficient. I am vegan and they were extremely accommodating. If it's not super busy they'll even strike up a conversation with you. Ambiance: this spot is immaculately clean. the music is great, thrash metal, to 70s country to Björk. The old menu board, the great calligraphy and art. It's just a fun fast paced place to gather. I would often run into my other dirtbag friends here the morning after a night out, reviving ourselves before another day of work. I miss the food and people at this place. If you visit Burlington and don't visit the café HOT. you are a big loser dork!

A B.

Yelp
Dreaming of a Brake fast sandwich right now. The cheese is crispy. The eggs are fluffy and the sauce is incredible.

Ben M.

Yelp
This place blew me away. Rarely do you go somewhere where everything on the menu knocks it out of the park. There was no time to take pictures as we ate everything we ordered was so good! During my visit I tasted the brakefast sandwich, the number 9 HOT-honey-chicken-fried biscuit, and the espresso glaze cronut. On the brakefast sandwich, the griddled cheese is wrapped around the egg and then the other veggies and sauce plus the bun is the perfect balance and combination of flavors. Definitely a sandwich that requires two-hands and a table. The chicken-fried egg in the number 9 sandwich is like nothing I've ever had. Battering and frying an egg? Wow. The biscuit is also the perfect balance. Same goes for the cronut. Just amazing. As someone who prefers bacon or sausage with a hot breakfast, I can say I didn't miss it one bit at this meat-free restaurant. The day we were there, they were also handing out complimentary creemees. Overall, the best food with very friendly staff.

Lillie W.

Yelp
We had time for one breakfast in Burlington and I'm SO glad we chose The Cafe HOT. Staff were super friendly and helped us narrow it down (we didn't realize on the way in they are a no meat/vegetarian place). The Raven (+ milk bun) and the #8 Special were both outstanding, biscuits are top tier, and the bonut was unique and delicious. Highly recommend!!

Noah G.

Yelp
Ive said it once and ill say it again, cafe hot is something special. The food is unrivaled in flavor, its balanced and fresh, while also somehow being both light and filling. Everything is made in house, and it shows. The owners are also just the nicest people, always willing to chat- even if its a blizzard... I went here for breakfast on my birthday and somehow they heard about it and had a birthday candle in one of my bonuts for me. Best. Breakfast. In. Burlington

Dan W.

Yelp
They make vegetarian so tasty. I had the breakfast sandwich and it felt like a guilty pleasure. Staff are friendly and provide good recommendations based on my desires. I didn't even miss bacon!

Karen V.

Yelp
I had read about the arrival of this restaurant downtown. Today I finally had an opportunity to go. I scanned the door for a sign regarding their mask policy, and there was no sign. At all. Other than a sign about needing a vaccine card to sit. I have such a thing so I walked in sans mask. My partner and I found the menu terribly confusing and the items on it not particularly appealing. As I was standing there in line, I decided despite being baffled and not enticed by the menu that I would stay and try the least tortured item in the menu. At that point, one of the owners started shouting at the room in general a long soliloquy about going to the website and reading the menu before getting to the register to order. Apparently, people who are confused by the menu's presentation in person need to do their homework in line before arriving at the register. I was trying to block out his incredibly loud and annoying interruption to everyone's morning groove, when he spotted me without a mask. He pointed at me and then disappeared. He came back with a mask (from god knows where) and handed it to me. I do not put on strange masks handled by other people. I am perfectly happy to comply with requests to put on my own mask. I have no problem scanning a door for a mask request. There was none. Needless to say, I did not stay. I did not order one of their concoctions of tortured food, I did not check the website to make sure I understood prior to ordering, and I did go to a kind, quiet, yummy alternative (where I happily complied with their masking sign).

Yelp
This place is HOT! Best breakfast in Burlington. Super fun ambience and menu. Barista made me the best latte I've ever had and was the kindest human, along with all the staff. 10000/10 recommend! New fav spot.

Yelp
Never had a bonut before, absolutely amazing. Biscuit was ok. Good coffee. Bonut out of this world.

Yelp
The vibe here is definitely unique for church street. However, it gave me a kind of dirty feeling, & their lack of menus other than from the online ordering page was slightly irritating & inefficient. The breakfast sandwich was great, but I would not pay $18 for a sandwich and donut when not in a more upper end establishment (but that's just me personally). Mask required to enter, vax card required to stay.
