"The café on Broadway has hosted local collaborations since opening in spring 2023, and as the summer heats up it is running a four-week-long menu of iced coffees from local talent. First is the Brundo Sp’iced Mocha from Daniel Aderaw Yeshiwas of Brundo Spices and Café Colucci, followed by a halva-inspired latte, a Vietnamese iced coffee with creamy matcha foam, and the Smackin’ Sisig Latte with Señor Sisig. Each item lasts five days, starting from July 14 through to August 9." - Paolo Bicchieri

"A café included in the Oakland Restaurant Collective that is slated to host special offerings and events during the collective’s month-long Summer Affair in June." - Paolo Bicchieri

"An Oakland café will host the Astranda Bakery pop-up on Saturday, January 11, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, where specialty cinnamon rolls and other goods will be sold with a portion of sales used to buy and distribute high-need supplies to impacted areas; baker Eric Chow will give a free cinnamon roll to Los Angeles residents fleeing smoke and fire." - Dianne de Guzman

"I'm noticing that the gorgeous and expansive Caffè by Mr. Espresso is celebrating its birthday with a throwback drink series presented as mini partnerships with Bay Area chefs: five one-off drinks will be available May 28 to June 1 (plus shots of espresso for a buck), including Nora Haron's Balinese-inspired coffee with fresh avocado on Thursday, May 30; Denise Huynh's Vietnamese egg coffee on Friday, May 31; and Mike Woods's toasted marshmallow candied yam latte on Saturday, June 1." - Paolo Bicchieri

"In Oakland, the Caffe by Mr. Espresso continues its chef collab series and I saw it partnering with Delfina owner and chef Craig Stoll for a holiday drink, bicerin alla menta, described as the OG mocha from Torino and made of drinking chocolate layered with espresso and softly whipped cream; 10 percent of proceeds from the festive drink will go to Community Kitchens Oakland." - Dianne de Guzman
