Best Dishes and Restaurants at Disney World and Epcot | Eater Miami

"With over-the-top pink interiors, including a centerpiece gazebo crowned with unicorns and flowers, the tea and cake room is truly a sight to behold upon entering. With giant slices of glittery, tasty cakes and custardy, towering quiches, this is worth a stroll along the Boardwalk (and the price tag of those cakes and quiches)." - Jason B James

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a special occasion—my niece's birthday—at The Cake Bake Shop, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming, setting the stage for a wonderful evening. Our server, Julian, provided truly great service. He was not only attentive but also exceptionally knowledgeable about the entire menu, from all the food selections to the available spirits. His recommendations were spot-on and genuinely enhanced our dining experience. The food itself was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the crab cake and the grilled salmon sandwich. The dishes were fantastic in both presentation and taste. And of course, we can't forget the cake! For the birthday, the chef prepared a double-layer cake for my niece that was absolutely unbelievable. It was the perfect centerpiece for our celebration. Whether you're looking for a delightful meal for a family outing or a beautiful venue for a special occasion like a birthday party, The Cake Bake Shop is an excellent choice. Go for the delicious food, stay for the welcoming atmosphere, and be sure to ask for Julian!

When dining at the Cake Bake shop, Do ask for Noel. Speedy and sweet her knowledge of the company and passion about the food really stood out to my husband and I who not for one moment felt rushed, or unattended to. She took keen notice that it was a special visit for us and made extra special magic for us. Her care for us spilled over to the neighboring tables as she shared her hospitality to a tables in a nearby section. Overall the charm and the whimsical Christmas Decor which id been hungering for was made so much sweeter by the delicious food and service Noel extended. A cornerstone of our experience I cant imagine another visit without her!

Great service, great food. The Cobb is possibly the best I’ve ever had (only competition is Brown Derby). It is also enormous. The pomme frites are fantastic. The gluten free cake was very good. They do very well with allergies. The French onion soup was fantastic. The bread and butter are top notch. The cocktails are amazing. Service was exceptional.

Celebrated my birthday here, and it was amazing!! The restaurant and bakery are gorgeous, outside and in. Our server, I think his name was Jacob, was friendly and attentive, and he was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations based on our questions and likes. I received a little birthday wishes card, and my cake slice had glitter and a candle. I also got to make a wish and blow pixie dust! I ordered the 12 layer club with broccoli, and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had (I still think about it!). My mom got the chicken salad croissant and truffle fries, and she loved it! They even toasted the croissant! For cake, we ordered the apple crumble and Neapolitan. They were both light and fluffy, with a delicious buttercream (super airy!). The apple crumble reminded me of banana bread, and the caramel was perfectly salted. You could taste the apple pieces and nuts! They definitely made my birthday special! We ended up coming back the next day for dessert! (The cookie dough cake is perfect if you love cookie dough!)

I am a pretty honest reviewer. I like to say I am fair across the board. With that being said this is my honest opinion and experience. The establishment was clean no doubt at least up front where guests are. Cast members were friendly; no issues here. The concern is the price for what you get. $22 for a piece of cake should be a crime. You can get a whole cake at Publix supermarket for $22 and it tastes amazing. A whole cake here starts at $150. Can you imagine the amount of items you could get from a Publix bakery for $150 and it tastes the same or better? The same goes for the puddings. I am sure a boxed pudding made at home would be the same if not BETTER and cost far less. I spent around $49 for two puddings and a brownie. NONE of these items taste better than any other place I have ate at. I did not eat any of it and think it was the best thing since sliced bread. To be 110% honest, you can make better brownies at home. I spend money on vacation. I am not afraid to buy something over priced but when something is not worth it I will let you know. With all due respect to everyone involved, I am concerned about the people who think the items in the bakery are the oh so good. Trust me when I say this is a “did it and got the t-shirt” type of thing and that is meant with love not hate. Would I go back? There is no reason to at the moment.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning. It's got two sides. One side is the bake shop with amazing looking cakes and cookies for sale and the other side is the restaurant. Went with a group of twelve and sat in the back room. Our server did an excellent job.She got all of our orders, correct, was timely and pleasant. Most of it did the special two first for lunch, which was a salad and a.Soup or a salad and a half a sandwich. The food is mediocre, as it is in all disney Resorts. The chicken salad was very watery. Not enough lemon in the caesar salad dressing. The cake was amazing. Both to look at and to eat moist and delicious chocolate cake.We had the millionaire's cake. We just got one slice for all of us.Everybody took two bites at twenty two dollars.A slice that is very steep. So although the food was not great, the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. And I would go again just for that. And maybe sit at the bar.

Our experience here was absolutely awful. We came with a party of 11 and had two reservations, one for 6 people and one for 5. We missed one of the reservations by a few minutes, and instead of trying to accommodate us, the staff seated us in what looked like a lobby or outside waiting area—definitely not inside the main restaurant where we belonged. It was cramped, uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable considering we had booked ahead for a large party. When we asked management and the hosts to simply move some tables together so our group could sit comfortably, they refused several times. Only after constant complaints and the threat of making a formal complaint did they finally agree to move the tables. The management and hosts were rude, dismissive, and showed zero professionalism or basic customer service. Our server did his best, but it was clear he was set up for failure. Dishes were confused and handed to the wrong people, but given how poorly organized everything was, that wasn’t entirely his fault. The food itself was mediocre, under-seasoned, bland, and not worth the hype or price. The desserts were the only good part, but even that couldn’t make up for how terribly we were treated. We spent around $600 and still left a tip, yet we walked out feeling completely disrespected and disappointed. We could’ve easily gotten a better meal and far better service almost anywhere else. The Cake Bake Shop might look fancy, but the management was terrible, the service was disorganized, and the overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We will not be returning.

Absolutely breathtaking restaurant with stunning interior and exterior. The food was amazing and the service was even better. We had Naomi as a server and she was very delightful. She was animated and attentive to our table. Everything we ate we enjoyed I had a cup of the gumbo and salmon sandwich. They had very good fries! The cake is pricey but was delicious, we shared one slice of cake and fed 5 people! They are large slices (pictured don’t do justice.) Also got a slice of key lime pie that was tasty. Very cute experience, perfect for birthday celebrations! Restaurant was hard to find at first but it is located outside of the boardwalk hotel by the water. Everyone was kind and happy to assist!
