Best Dishes and Restaurants at Disney World and Epcot | Eater Miami

"With over-the-top pink interiors, including a centerpiece gazebo crowned with unicorns and flowers, the tea and cake room is truly a sight to behold upon entering. With giant slices of glittery, tasty cakes and custardy, towering quiches, this is worth a stroll along the Boardwalk (and the price tag of those cakes and quiches)." - Jason B James

Absolutely dreamy! 💖✨ Stepping into The Cake Bake Shop at Disney Springs felt like walking straight into a fairytale. From the sparkly pink décor to the sweetest little details everywhere you look, it’s pure magic before you even take a bite. My absolute favorite is the Marie Antoinette — a little macaron sandwich that is to die for. Truly exquisite. And yes, it’s a splurge, but the value is in every bite and the experience. Even the lemonades have sparkles ✨— it’s that fun and over-the-top in the best way. The staff was so warm and welcoming, and everything feels celebratory and special. Honestly, save your money on the character meals at Disney — this is the memory worth making, whether you’re there with your girlfriends or soaking it all in with your kiddos.

Our recent visit to the Disney World Cake Bake Shop was truly one of the most magical and delicious experiences of our entire 8-day trip, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Stepping into the shop was an absolute delight, as it was beautifully and exquisitely decorated for the Christmas and Holiday season, immersing us instantly in a wonderfully festive atmosphere that was simply stunning. Beyond the gorgeous setting, the staff was absolutely amazing and so polite, offering attentive and cheerful service that made our whole family feel incredibly welcomed. We enjoyed breakfast here, and the menu was unforgettable, starting with the ridiculously good Cinnamon Toast Brioche Bites which were the perfect shareable treat. Our main courses were just as exceptional; my kids were ecstatic over the fun and delicious Glitter Buttermilk Pancakes, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the decadent and flawlessly executed Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict, and I had the pleasure of enjoying what I genuinely believe was the best quiche I have ever tasted. In our own opinions, every single person at our table had the best meal, making this one of the finest meals we had during our entire Disney visit, and we are already planning our return!

I would refrain eating here unless you are white. I’m not one to normally accuse but I did feel like I was slighted because I am not like the majority demographic. I am an Asian woman who is married to a white man & even my husband pointed out the way we were treated compared to others. We had a reservation to eat breakfast here and upon walking in, the host did not greet us, just told the hostess to seat us at table number xx & we were quickly seated in the side room & placed right next to a Hispanic couple (it was the lady’s birthday - how sad) when the entire side room was empty. It felt like we were sitting at their table & listening in on their conversation. When looking in the main dining room, there were tables available & everyone seated in there was white. Luckily the bartender saw how strange it was & had us move a couple tables away. While there, no one else was sat in the side room with us the entire time. I ended up walking through the main dining room on the way out so I could get the feel. The side room should be used for walk ins & main dining room for reservations. Food was average & poached eggs were rubbery. Not worth the price & I will not be returning.

5 STARS ALL AROUND!!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The Cake Bake Shop on the Disney Boardwalk is pure MAGIC & a MUST VISIT✨ I could genuinely live here lol. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is stunning, and the holiday decorations for Christmas are next-level perfection 🎄 No detail is missed, and I love the owner, Gwendolyn's story on creating this wonderful brand + vision! What a #bossbabe & hustler! The team members made our experience unforgettable. Shelly was wonderful, OG Alejandro was amazing, and Dante — on his first day! — was EXCELLENT 👏 The happiness, kindness and energy they brought made our visit such a joy. We loved it so much we came back twice during our 3-day stay for breakfast (love the eggs & funfetti cake w/edible glitter) LOL this December! Be sure to book a reservation in advanced if visiting Florida or in the Orlando area and get ready for an AMAZING experience🍰✨

The Cake Bake Shop at Epcot's Boardwalk is a dual-concept store featuring a full-service restaurant and a quick-service bakery. Known for its whimsical, Roccoco French-inspired aesthetic, the shop features white-and-gold decor, crystal chandeliers, and an abundance of edible glitter ("Pixie-fetti") on all their bake products. The Cake Bake Shop officially opened its doors in October 2024, debuting both the "Bakery" (to-go) and "Restaurant" (table-service) sides. The menu focuses on oversized, decadent cake slices and artisanal treats. Key offerings include: The Millionaire Cake (chocolate, ganache, shortbread, and salted caramel) and Gwendolyn’s Famous Earl’s Court Chocolate Cake (a three-layered Valrhona chocolate cake); a raspberry champagne cake (brushed with champagne syrup), a lemon blueberry cake, and a carrot cake. They also feature hand-sized macarons, brownies, bars, cheesecakes, and seasonal pies. We tasted a variety of these confections, but I found them overly sweet and somewhat on the expensive side. But the children in my family loved all of it.

We had the most wonderful experience at The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk. My husband, daughter, and I stopped in just for dessert (we’re a dessert-loving family!), and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. My husband had the coconut cake, which was a seasonal special and incredibly flavorful. My daughter chose the millionaire cake slice and a unicorn hot chocolate, which she absolutely loved. I had the raspberry champagne cake with a cup of tea, and it was simply delicious. Every single bite felt special. The service was impeccable, the restaurant was spotless, and the entire atmosphere felt warm and inviting. You can truly taste the care and quality that goes into everything they do. This was such a lovely family experience, and we already can’t wait to come back for more desserts. Five stars all the way.

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a special occasion—my niece's birthday—at The Cake Bake Shop, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming, setting the stage for a wonderful evening. Our server, Julian, provided truly great service. He was not only attentive but also exceptionally knowledgeable about the entire menu, from all the food selections to the available spirits. His recommendations were spot-on and genuinely enhanced our dining experience. The food itself was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the crab cake and the grilled salmon sandwich. The dishes were fantastic in both presentation and taste. And of course, we can't forget the cake! For the birthday, the chef prepared a double-layer cake for my niece that was absolutely unbelievable. It was the perfect centerpiece for our celebration. Whether you're looking for a delightful meal for a family outing or a beautiful venue for a special occasion like a birthday party, The Cake Bake Shop is an excellent choice. Go for the delicious food, stay for the welcoming atmosphere, and be sure to ask for Julian!

We went to the cake bake shop to try their famous cake slices. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. They have it all organized so the line moves pretty quickly. We knew we were going to spend more than normal on a slice of cake but we thought it would be worth it. There were six of us so we each bought a different slice and tried each other’s slices. This totaled to over $100 in cake slices. The girl who checked us out was not very pleasant and after spending over $100 on cake slices told us we could not have a bag to put them in. We would have to purchase a bag which I found surprising. After trying all the cake slices, I chalked it up to an experience and something to try, but I had no interest in going back to have more as none of the slices were memorable. I think I might’ve just been expecting too much because of the price. I will say that my friend went back and had lunch in the restaurant and said it was a great experience. However, it was also quite expensive. I love everything Disney and had very high hopes for this location, but it just wasn’t my favorite.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful breakfast at The Cake Bake Shop! Everything was delicious, especially the perfectly fluffy waffles and the slice of cake we took to go (truly the best way to end a breakfast!). A huge shoutout to our waitress, Kayla, who made the experience even better. She was incredible -- somehow managing the bar while also taking care of tables, and still giving us warm, attentive service. She kept everything running smoothly with such a positive attitude. Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Attended afternoon tea at the Cake Bake Shop today, and it was so fun. At $95/person, pricey, but considering what you get, it really is an amazing experience. Our wonderful server Peter gave us an overview of the different teas, and how the tea service would go. Next thing we knew, the most yummy scones arrived at our table. On came the tea service tower loaded with little sandwiches and sweets. I loved that they included some holiday flavors as well. As for the tea, six different selections, and you can try all or one. The Cake Bake Shop itself is beautiful. And with all of the holiday decor right now, it's even noted beautiful. The reservation process is a bit of a pain since you can't make it online, but it is what it is. Not sure I would attend the tea party again, but it was fun to do at least once.

Yelp
The Cake Bake Shop is a little underrated and a lot over-hated. Early, negative reviews and buzz about this place even kept me away for a while, before finally trying it. Now I've dined there 3 times and have visited the shop a few times as well. I think the biggest complaint from others is often the price, especially for $25 cake slices, which get compared to another place down the road. However, the food is more reasonably priced and well worth it. Don't get me wrong, dinner, drinks, and dessert will definitely cost you here, but all of it is excellent and the decor and service makes for a great experience that's well worth it. There are also plenty of other dessert offerings besides the cakes that are cheaper, especially if you go into the shop side. Everything from drinks to food to dessert have all been great there. They even have great brunch! They also have really great coffee. They recently had a pumpkin spice latte that was amazing, and now a peppermint mocha latte. When I go to other coffee shops, I also ramp the syrups way down, because most places put way too much. Surprisingly, I was able to order these without modification and they were perfect - especially surprising for a dessert place! Definitely give it a try if you haven't yet; Cake Bake does not disappoint!

Yelp
I had such a great experience at The Cake Bake Shop on Disney's BoardWalk. The whole place feels elegant, whimsical, and beautifully designed the moment you step inside. It is the kind of atmosphere that makes even a quick stop feel special. I bought a cup, two shirts, & ordered a matcha latte, and a Snickerdoodle Cheesecake Bar, and everything was perfect. The merchandise is high quality and so pretty. The cup is gorgeous, and the shirts feel upscale and soft, like something you would actually want to wear outside of Disney. The matcha latte was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. You can tell they use quality ingredients. And the Snickerdoodle Cheesecake Bar was amazing. It had the perfect balance of cinnamon sugar, soft cookie texture, and rich cheesecake. Easily one of the best desserts I have tried at Disney. The service was friendly and welcoming, and even though the shop feels upscale, it never felt unapproachable. It was a relaxing and lovely stop on the BoardWalk, and I am already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend if you want delicious treats, beautiful merchandise, and a little moment of magic during your day.

Yelp
Viral for the perfect birthday photo opp! I just had to check it out for my birthday. When I was at Disney World, I knew I wanted to go to the cake bake shop because I saw a bunch of videos on TikTok of girls blowing out the birthday candle with glitter and it makes the cutest picture! I didn't realize the cake bake shop was a bakery and a restaurant. If you're just there for a slice of cake, go to the bakery side. I think you need to have a reservation for the restaurant or you can try your luck with a walk-in. They do get very busy so we had to wait in line but when we finally got in, it was amazing! With a bunch of displays and merchandise, we got to view everything that was offered. I found the edible glitter that the other girls use in their videos, but it was really expensive. So I had to pass :( I did buy the pixie birthday confetti cake slice. It has blue frosting and it's a vanilla confetti cake. The cake is so fluffy and moist! The frosting was not overwhelmingly sweet either. It does turn your mouth and tongue blue so just watch out ha ha definitely take your pictures before you eat it. I would also love to try some of the other flavors! I would definitely go back just to try the other flavors and I would suggest bringing your own glitter if you want to re-create the TikTok videos or pictures.

Yelp
An enchanting cake and dessert shop with whimsical decor. Upon entering the cake shop you feel as if you have entered the setting for a fairytale. There is a walk up cake shop and a sit down restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It can be very difficult to secure a reservation to eat in at the restaurant. You can walk up to the restaurant and see if there is any availability for later the same day. Cake slices are $22 each. The slices are large and rich. We shared one slice of the Millionaire Cake between 3 people and it was plenty. The cake is moist and flavorful. All desserts get a sprinkling of gold dust to add to the fairy tale quality of the shop.

Yelp
This restaurant looks fabulous! Especially when its decorated for the holidays! Looks like a winter wonderland. Amazing desserts and HUGE pieces of cake! The service is magical. The Banana pudding is the best I've ever had. One of the speciality cakes wast the Coconut cream cake and it was absolutely delicious. The Coconut Latte was also great! The Unicorn Hot Chocolate is almost too pretty to eat and the flavor is out of this world! Also tried the L'Oriental tea and it was so light, fruity, and refreshing. I most definitely will be back to try more things on their menu!

Krystel J.

Yelp
The positives, the place is gorgeous and the team there extremely nice. The cake we did order (raspberry champagne) was delicious and not overly sweet. I also have the blueberry crumb cake that was delicious. The not so great, the prices are high. We got the unicorn hot chocolate and it tasted awful, we ended up throwing it away. Aesthetically beautiful but there was something in it that made it taste almost medicinal. The lattes we ordered were ok but not anything better you couldn't grab from another place. It was a cute experience to walk in and take pictures. Not sure I'd go out of my way to go back though.

Yelp
Went for lunch before heading to Mickeys very merry Christmas party. What a great spot to enjoy a special celebration. You will need reservations, or you won't get in. We celebrated my daughter's bday here. The food was very good. We had crab cakes, the chicken soup and caprese sandwich. The hot tea and coffee was excellent as well. Would def go back.

Yelp
Finally tried this place and it didn't disappoint! My only complaint would be how we tried to go into the bar before and were told there had to be seats available, but then I made a reservation for the bar and had to wait 40 mins after arriving to be sat- only we were sat at a bar table and people were able to just walk in and sit at the bar. This was very confusing and it doesn't seem staff is on the same page about this. I asked as we left and was told yes, they have to confirm the seats but then the guy outside let people go look for seats without checking. Ambiance is amazing- seriously beyond gorgeous, especially with the holiday theme right now. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. My partner and I both tried the black swan martini after all the recommendations I'd seen and it was delicious. We shared the burrata which was HUGE- two balls of burrata, more than enough to share. At lunch they offer the choose two option, which I did and ordered the chicken velvet soupe with a half of the chicken salad sandwich. The sandwich was good, but I've had better and there weren't many grapes in it. The soup was heavy but delicious. My partner ordered the gumbo entree with added shrimp. It was smaller than he expected and without the shrimp we aren't sure there would have been much meat. However, he did enjoy it. For dessert we tried a slice of the blueberry lemon cake which was huge and delicious. The frosting was so light and not too sweet. I also ordered the rose cappuccino which was good and has a strong rose flavor. Excited to return, we'll just have to limit what we order as this place is definitely pricey (but big portions!)
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance is absolutely magical. Every inch feels like a storybook, from the tables, walls, chandeliers, to the bathroom. The service was top tier, they made you feel important and special and everyone was smiling! The food was good, I would say I was a tad disappointed with my lunch (mainly the sandwich- French ham and Brie) BUT I will definitely be coming back to sample the dinner menu. The best part- THE CAKE and TEA .. wow. We ordered the L'Oriental tea pot for two with honey and lemon- superb!! We each got one slice of cake and a birthday celebration with a little magic dust Cakes I'd recommend- carrot cake and the cinnamon roll cake Absolutely can't wait to go back and try more!!!

Yelp
The food, the service, the decor... all 10/10! We made last minute reservations for a late dinner before leaving Disney, and I'm so glad we got in! Yes, it's a little pricey, but totally worth it for the vibes and huge portions. The food was delicious and we all had leftovers to take home. We were stuffed but had to get some cake to-go, too! And the cake was just as good for breakfast the next morning We made a note on the reservation that it was our anniversary, and we had the sweetest card in our table when we arrived... just a cute little touch that made the experience even "sweeter"!
google avatar

Beverly D.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Excellent food quality. The pixie dust on our cake was a fun addition.
google avatar

Heather N.

Yelp
First, the restaurant is beautiful! It is decorated for the holidays like a winter wonderland! The experience was 5-star until they started getting busy and the service, while very polite & friendly, got too slow. We got reservations for 11am on a Sunday--reservations are a must, they had a 3 hour wait the day before! The menu all sounds amazing. The croque madam & shrimp po boy were both very good. The prices are really high, but then again it's Disney. We enjoyed the lunch, it just hit a snag when the dessert we ordered was on the delivery truck (I would have thought it was made onsite?) and they were checking to see if it was available to serve. It was really nice of them but I got impatient and got the check.
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
Another spot I found through Disney influencers during my trip research, and I'm so glad I went! The Cake Bake Shop is beautiful and elegant, and the desserts absolutely delivered. Despite the exorbitant price tag ($22+ per slice!), I decided to splurge and picked up a slice of the Raspberry Champagne cake and the Lemon Blueberry cake. Both were incredible. The cake was perfectly moist, and the frosting was light, airy, and not overly sweet. The berries in each slice were fresh and bursting with flavor. The lemon curd in the Lemon Blueberry cake struck that perfect balance, tangy but not too tart, sweet but not overwhelming. You could tell these cakes were freshly made, likely within the same day. Yes, the price made me hesitate, but after tasting them, I can honestly say they were worth experiencing at least once. In fact, I've already decided that treating myself to a slice from here will be a tradition every time I come back to Disney World. The only reason I'm giving this 4.5 instead of a perfect 5 is the price, it really is steep. But if you're looking to indulge in something truly decadent and memorable, The Cake Bake Shop is well worth the splurge.

Lydia K.

Yelp
Honestly, more of a 3.5 star review, there's so much hype about this place, my partner wanted to check it out. The food menu is very limited, they have a lunch and dinner menu that the difference is, they don't serve the pasta dish at lunch. The food tasted good, not great. Had a millionaire cake slice for $22, and if you have one cake, you've tasted all of them. The service was nice. However the food takes a long time to come out. Overall, good experience for a one time thing.

Yelp
Pros: *great location on Disney's Boardwalk for a nice adventure before/after your meal *if you're not a resort guest, they allow 3-hour parking on site with a dining reservation -- otherwise you have to park elsewhere *not inside a theme park so it is free admission *very cute, coquette aesthetic -- lots of ladies/girls dressed up, think tea party *unique variety of seating. I was placed in the entry dining room which felt very much like a modern version of a drawing room at Downtown Abbey *pretty extensive menu considering that it's a bakery first *the food was delicious AND everything was sparkly with edible glitter *pixie dust (edible glitter) presentation for birthday was fun Cons: *very pricey, which I thought was worth it for a special occasion but honestly, it was overpriced *I was disappointed by the dessert -- I got a $22 slice of cake and a macaron. The cake was pretty dry and although Neapolitan, tasted completely like buttercream. And the macaron was chewier than a fresh macaron is supposed to be *service was just ok Will need a do-over.

Yelp
Cake bake is the perfect spot for a date night, girls night out, a birthday - anything! I finally got to try this place out after hearing so many great things and seeing how beautiful it always is through photos. My husband and I had a reservation and were seated almost immediately at our time even though I heard the wait was long. Our server Noel, was wonderful and made great suggestions for our first time. I will say this, they have THE BEST espresso martini I think I've ever had. I really enjoyed my crab cake app and my chicken piccata entree. I won't say they were over the top amazing but certainly not disappointing. We had to try the cake but got it to go since we were stuffed! The champagne raspberry cake is UNREAL! I now get the hype and can't wait to return for brunch!
google avatar

Krista J.

Yelp
The Cake Bake Shop is a beautiful addition to the Boardwalk, with amazing cakes and cocktails (all very expensive, but portions are very large). Our server was amazing, and took great care of us for our breakfast reservation. We started with the Cinnamon Bread Bites to share and they were a hit with the table. We also got some morning cocktails, including their specialty rose and a pumpkin spice espresso martini. The quiches were both delicious and we highly suggest getting the fingerling potatoes instead of the side salad...those potatoes were so good! And the cake is yummy...especially the buttercream frosting! So light!

Yelp
This is such a cute bakery/restaurant! We had the chance to get try a piece of their cake and it was delicious. We loved that they had lots of seasonal options and that their cake actually tasted good. We did not love the price range. Is it worth it to try a piece of their cake? I would say if you're curious or you love cake, then yes! We liked what we had enough to come back and try something else.
google avatar

Nadine L.

Yelp
Very cute little store on the broad walk, everything is delicate and pink and I think all the food items has gold glitter on them. Even the banana pudding. It was very instagram designed, and there was a long line even on off season. I didn't want to like it because it was $26 with tax for a slice of cake. But that was really really good chocolate cake.
google avatar

Patricia F.

Yelp
What a lovely place to spend a birthday lunch. As with most Disney eateries, it was decorated to perfection and the service was spectacular. I don't love my chicken salad croissant, but the salad that came with it was delicious. We each ordered a piece of cake and it was heaven. Some of the best cake I have ever had. Definitely will go here again!

Yelp
Stopped back by Cake Bake Shop a few days ago. We decided to skip the giant pieces of cake so we each selected a cookie. We ended up with a chocolate chip, a lemon bar and a magic bar. The lemon bar turned out to be everyone's favorite but all were glittery and delicious. The ambience and service were still fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is so beautiful! You definitely feel like you're eating in a very special place. It's like a princess Wonderland. The food is very good as well. We've tried the different soups, sandwiches, and chicken entrées. The drinks at the bar are delicious especially the black swan. This restaurant is expensive so be ready to spend.

Yelp
Just enjoyed some signature cake slices from The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers' location at Disney's BoardWalk Resort. We had the Red Velvet Cake and Southern Style Caramel Cake, purchased August 16, 2025. They were phenomenal and I highly recommend them. Disney's BoardWalk is a shopping, dining, and entertainment district that's free to enter, similar to Disney Springs. You don't need a ticket. This Cake Bake Shop location opened on October 24, 2024. It's still fairly new. The store is situated on the far northeast end of the boardwalk, in the old ESPN Club space. ESPN Club closed in 2022 and the end unit was renovated for The Cake Bake Shop. Here's how our cake slices are described on the menu: * Red Velvet Cake ($22 per slice) - red velvet cake with Callebaut miniature chocolate chips, filled with signature cream cheese frosting, and frosted in a rosette pattern with pink vanilla buttercream * Southern Style Caramel Cake ($22 per slice) - six layers of vanilla buttermilk cake, brushed with homemade Madagascar vanilla bean syrup, topped with handmade brown sugar caramel cream I love red velvet cake and this was among one of the best versions I've had. As far as caramel cake goes, this may be *the* best version I've had. I give the red velvet 4.5 stars and the caramel 5 stars. The slices were huge. Each slice here is "generously sized to serve 1 to 2 guests." Both were pretty much ideal in terms of taste, texture, and presentation. They were perfectly moist. The first thing I noticed about the red velvet cake was the chocolate chips. I think the sweeter and more intense flavor of the caramel cake biased my opinion of the red velvet cake, since we ate both at the same time. I say that because if I had had the red velvet cake by itself, I could easily give it 5 stars. I loved the different flavors and textures of the frostings/creams in the red velvet cake. My wife thought the cakes were a tad too sweet, but I didn't. We differ on our personal preferences for cake sweetness. She could only eat a little at a time. The slices were packed to go and presented carefully and neatly in The Cake Bake Shop branded boxes, with clear tops, and a neat recyclable bag that my wife kept to reuse. The slices were also packed with cake collars (acetate strips) to help preserve texture and structure. If you're at Disney's BoardWalk and want a sweet treat that's decadent and outstanding, go check out The Cake Bake Shop. This is the third Cake Bake Shop location. The other two are in Indiana with the original location, in Indianapolis, opening in 2014. Oh yeah, our friend got his mom Gwendolyn's Famous Earl's Court Chocolate Cake and she said it was the best chocolate cake she's ever had.

Yelp
Brought my mom for her 50th birthday and truly all we wanted was cake but we did make a reservation for three that way she could do the birthday wish with the glitter. Truly we only came for dessert. The waiter was a bit rude. You can tell he was annoyed we didn't order more items and kept trying to upsell us which was annoying considering a slice of cake is $22 but we pay for the experience. Let me clarify the prices were not an issue, we simply just wanted dessert. When we told him we only wanted dessert he mentally dismissed us. Service was not the best. The slices of cake are delicious, that is the only thing I would get again. We tried a couple flavors and all of them were really good. Our favorite was the chocolate. The brownie I would not order again. It was HARD. We thought it would be a soft, melted gooey brownie with ice cream on top... nope. Hard, cold brownie with ice cream on top. The ice cream was good. The place itself is STUNNING inside. We had a good time just looking around at all the decorations. It truly feels magical in there even with a bad server. Overall not sure we will come back. It's beautiful and it's a cool one time experience but that's pretty much it.

Yelp
Came here for afternoon tea and it was a really nice experience overall. Started with the chai, which was delicious and perfectly balanced. The scone at the beginning was probably the best I've ever had -- buttery, light, and full of flavor. The sandwich tier included chicken salad, egg salad, cream and cucumber, and salmon. The salmon was high quality and very good, the chicken salad was also solid, and the egg salad was just okay. For desserts, the coconut bar on the second level was super good, and the millionaire cake was rich and delicious. The cake itself was very chocolaty, and the cream on top was super rich -- maybe a bit too much for my taste, almost like straight butter. We didn't come close to finishing everything and had plenty of sweets left over. The place feels elegant but still relaxed. Service was kind, though a bit slow. It seemed like the staff was stretched thin, and a dirty table next to us stayed uncleared for about an hour. Still, everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful, and overall it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Yelp
Very pretty decorating- the aesthetic of this shop is unmatched if you like pink and princess aesthetics. we went on a tuesday at 2 pm and it was relatively empty. Or waiter was very kind, and service was relatively quick. the food was nothing to really write to home about- just average. I got a hot chocolate (that was lukewarm- although i wonder if maybe they thought it was for a child? which would be fair, haha). it was a very lacklustre hot chocolate- more milky than chocolatey. we got a cobb salad and a brie and ham sandwich. Both were fine! I hated that the cobb salad wasn't mixed though (and the plate didn't allow for much mixing room without being messy). All in all it was a very fine experience. I probably wouldn't go back, but it was nice to experience it once.

Yelp
The Cake Bake Shop is as charming as it is elegant, with beautiful ambiance and whimsical décor that make you feel like you've stepped into a storybook. Service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced for our lunch. Our party of five enjoyed a variety of lunch dishes, including the salmon sandwich, burger, gumbo, chicken salad sandwich, truffle fries, and Caesar salad. The food was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, nothing overly complicated, but well-prepared and nicely presented. Of course, dessert is their specialty, so we couldn't resist sampling several options: the cookie dough cake, raspberry crumble bar, key lime pie, and the Pixie Fetti Sundae. The raspberry crumble bar was the standout, perfectly balanced, buttery, and bright. The Pixie Fetti Sundae was fun and indulgent. The cookie dough cake, while flavorful, was a bit too firm for our taste, and the key lime pie was disappointing with far too much meringue, which overpowered the tartness of the lime. Overall, The Cake Bake Shop is worth visiting for the magical atmosphere, attentive service, and standout desserts, especially if you order that raspberry crumble bar.

Yelp
Gwendolyn Bake Shop on Disney's Boardwalk feels less like a magical culinary indulgence and more like a tone-deaf luxury grab that completely misses the spirit of the place. The pricing alone borders on absurd--$30 for a single slice of "elevated" cake, $6 truffles priced like rare jewels, $15 crumb cake that tastes as ordinary as bakery-case standard, and a $10 magic bar that brings no magic beyond disappearing money. It's the kind of shop that seems designed for Instagram photos rather than actual enjoyment, and I can't help but wonder who approved this concept thinking guests would flock to it. There's nothing whimsical, warm, or inviting about paying fine-dining dessert prices for items that don't remotely justify the markup. Once the novelty wears off--and it does quickly--you're left staring at pastries that taste like something you could find across the Boardwalk for half or even a third of the cost. Disney magic should feel special, indulgent, and earned--not like a punchline disguised in buttercream. Quite honestly, this bake shop feels unnecessary in the lineup of Boardwalk offerings. It adds nothing meaningful to the atmosphere, provides no signature experience, and comes off as an overpriced afterthought wedged in to see how far they could test the market. You're far better off skipping it entirely and heading to the Boardwalk Deli instead--better pricing, more substance, and none of the sticker-shock regret. If Disney wants premium, they need to deliver premium. This place delivers little more than disappointment with frosting.

Yelp
Wow! I loved everything about our experience. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with a side of a magical feel every where you look. We made reservations for lunch time. We were seated about 5 minutes after checking in. There is no waiting area inside the restaurant and had to wait outside. In this summer Florida heat, it can be tortuous. We were lucky and got seated in the Champagne Room. The room feels more private and the noise level is much lower. Julian, our waiter, gets 10 stars for estelar customer service. He was patient and very polite. Allowed us time to take pictures and offered to take some too. We didn't even have to ask him. We loved everything we ordered. For drinks we started with Julian's recommendations. Yum! The Pink Lady Margarita and Rose Ricky were delicious. My daughter had the Unicorn Hot Chocolate. Beautiful presentation and also delicious. Note, this is white hot chocolate. My friend had a Pot of Tea. The food was also delicious. The Pesto Burrata appetizer was fresh and plenty to share. I ordered the burger with the blackberry salad. The perfect combination. That was the best blackberry salad I've had. My friend ordered the French Onion Soupe with a side of the Blackberry Salad. She was craving the soup for weeks. This on hit the spot. She said it was perfect. Finally we ordered the 12 Layer Club Sandwich. I am so glad we ordered that to share. It is a very generous portion. Dessert did not disappoint at all. Of course we got the Pixie Fetti Birthday Cake. Also sharable. Julian recommended the macarons. We ordered one of each flavor. I cannot say I have a favorite. I really loved all of them. You are on Disney property, expect higher prices. It was totally worth it in my opinion. Specially for a special occasion.

Yelp
This restaurant went over my expectations. This is a top spot on my list for Holidays/birthdays or even just a fun girls brunch. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. The food was delicious and gave you great amount of food for the money, and the staff were so sweet and personable. Do not skip the French onion soup--it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And whatever you do, make sure to treat yourself to a slice of their cake. Trust me, it's worth it

Yelp
From the beginning to end, very magical experience! Took my best friend for her birthday and we had an awesome time. JULIA was our server and she was so personable and sweet. She gave wonderful recommendations. 10 out of 10! The ambiance is spectacular! Breathtaking decor Food and drinks are pricey but worth it. The portions are large enough to share. Will definitely come back with my daughter for tea, breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

Yelp
This is absolutely the most beautiful, delicious, and MUST DO spot! Quiet, relaxing, and YUMMY! Our waiter was beyond helpful for us first-timers. You MUST get the raspberry champagne cake (even if you don't like champagne, it's not a heavy flavor)! So light, fluffy, & beautiful. Can't wait to come back for dinner soon :)

Yelp
Cute place for the ladies! They do tea as well. Prices are a bit steep, so i recommend sharing your dish! Usually the portions can feed 2, especially the cake! The po boy had two sandwiches and the club sandwich was cut into 4 and very big! Drink prices could be a bit more affordable but the presentation of them is very nice. I love that they change out the decor throughout the year. Even just sitting at the bar is lovely and the bakery next door is great to just pick up some treats! Great service! I'd recommend paper towels as an option in the bathroom. The gumbo is tasty!

Yelp
After an incredible solo birthday experience for myself back in May, I was back at Disney with my son this fall and told him we had to go to cake bake. I made a reservation for our arrival day! The decor was autumn and so beautiful. I love the passion fruit drink! This time the server was helpful but interesting. My son got the capri salad and sandwich. He also got the raspberry champagne cake. I got the croc monsieur and fries. It was okay. I couldn't eat too much because it was so rich. For desert I just wanted something healthy (I should have gotten a salad lol!) I ordered the apple pie and it was just okay. I scraped some of my son's frosting off for my apple pie. The server noticed this and insisted on bringing me apple cake instead. It was much better. The server kept making jokes and we couldn't tell if he was serious or had dry humor or what. Not the typical cast member. The cake was more than the pie and he ended up charging me for it and removed the pie. It was an expensive meal to begin with and idk. We left feeling kind of confused about the experience.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place! Christmas decorations are wonderful and on theme. Service was fantastic! If you can't get a reservation through the Disney app use Open Table. Brunch was so yummy.

Yelp
The cakes were super yummy, we got them to go and they were packaged great! The cakes were delicious!

Yelp
I did think high tea here at this place and it was very disappointing. Rather than have looseleaf tea and high quality to either the key was in a bag. The server didn't for it for us. The small sandwiches were stale. In the first thing they try to do when you sit down and tell you more stuff you don't even need. The story of Gwendolyn is someone from Indiana who won a competition and now she thinks she's the queen. Delusional. Not recommended.

Yelp
This place was so cute and magical upon walking in. We went after dinner to pick up dessert and there was a queue, of course. Not only do they sell the most beautiful cakes and pastries, but had merch as well. Their cake slices can easily be shared between 2-4 people and were priced around $20ish. I was overwhelmed and ended up ordering a berry crumble bar, which I didn't eat until two days after so it somewhat disintegrated but was still delicious. It had a thick crumb layer, sweet and sour berry filling and crunch top. The process of ordering was seamless as everything is packed after you order, then you pay at the counter where you pick up your order. I will definitely try out their famous cakes on my next trip.

Yelp
$22 a slice for cake is wild but is the hype real? The chocolate raspberry champagne was good but I liked the chocolate slice more. All in all good but not great for how much you paid. Definitely more about the experience trending in this moment than the actual product. $7 chocolate croissants was phenomenal but also overpriced. Storefront is absolutely gorgeous and I can see how people get swept up in a sugar dream. Glittery, princess wonderland of carbs and cakey goodness. Staff was very nice and the aisles are a little confusing when there are crowds bottlenecking together. All in all ok. Won't be back though.

Yelp
This restaurant is so beautiful! We booked the reservation on OpenTable and showed up feeling underdressed. It did not matter! Our kids, 15 to 21, had an amazing time, my wife and I loved it. The service was top notch! The food, wonderful! The French onion soup one of best I've had at a restaurant. Chicken piccata, Salmon Caesar, Cobb Salad, fantastic! Drinks, tea, and cocktails were all superb. We stopped next door by the bake shop for dessert. It is pricey, but good. Not sure why the ratings are so low, but we are looking forward to our next trip!!

Yelp
Gorgeous (overpriced) cake shop! Everything on Disney property is expensive but $22 for one slice of cake is a bit much. The cake was very good, we got the Millionaire's cake, but I definitely wouldn't spend that much on it if I wasn't on vacation! The lemon curd cheesecake was my favorite out of the two, a cheaper price but much smaller. We were able to split both of these between 4 people so the portion sizes make the price a bit easier to swallow. The space is beautiful and pink and dreamy and service was incredibly friendly, they upsold me on a reusable bag haha.

Yelp
I had the most beautiful experience at the Cake Bake Restaurant. The service was spectacular, Peter took very great care of us at the bar. I had a tasty lemon drop and a slice of key-lime pie that was so delicious, tart, sweet and creamy. I wish I had another slice right now. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Loads of treats on the menu. Full restaurant, bar, and bakery on site.

Yelp
Food- eggs Benedict were tasty and perfectly cooked. Chicken salad sandwich was juicy but could of used a little spice, which is taste preference. Do not skip on the desserts. All the cakes were moist and delicious and the Key-lime pie was perfection. Cappuccino and tea were flavorful. Service- the British man who waited on us was outstanding! Explained how the restaurant sources the most quality ingredients. Ambiance- fairytale elegance Would highly recommend this place for breakfast and for all their desserts .

Yelp
My son wanted to choose his birthday cake slice from here on our recent Disney trip. Let me say this shop is BEAUTIFUL. It blew me away aesthetically. However, definitely know what you want ahead of time (cake-wise) because you are pushed through by other customers like a stampede. There was no control of the line despite an employee outside supposedly 'controlling' the foot traffic. The workers barely made eye-contact. Mind you, these slices are $22! The cake slices WERE very good, but the shop is lacking in positive interactions. I felt like I was in a cafeteria assembly line, and for these prices, that's a huge disappointment.

Yelp
My brother recommended this place and we really enjoyed the food, service and drinks. The decorations are really girlie and cute. Great place to bring your daughters. The service team is super friendly. Dined during breakfast and drinks after Epcot. Their cocktail menu is pretty good, I liked their take on Old Fashioned. Now, you have to stop by the bakery next door. We tried the Birthday cake slice ($22 per slice) and my girls ate it so fast- they approved.

Yelp
Time we went: 09/02/25 @ 12:45pm I truly don't know why this restaurant has low reviews because we had an amazing time. We were arriving by boat from coming from Hollywood studios so we were running slightly behind with our reservation time - I went to call and give them a warning and they totally handled it with grace and said there was no issue. The check-in was smooth and fast given our reservation. After coming inside, all I can say is it was absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of christmas inside with the decor and the lights - I'm insanely jealous of all the locals/passholders who get to come here anytime (coming from a Disneyland gal in California). We started with the pesto burrata (so good because I literally love burrata and LOVED how much there was hahaha) My mom and I both got the "Pick Two" - I got the french onion soup (my fave type of soup & it did not disappoint) AND the chicken salad croissant - which also comes with a side of arugula salad. I added the extra burrata from our appetizer and it was so yummy!! My mom's pick two - blackberry avocado salad & a caprese sandwich. We ate it all up! Lastly, for dessert, we got the lemon blueberry cake & it was delicious. It was not dry at all, i especially liked how the icing wasn't too sweet! And I got to blow out my birthday candle with pixie glitter with brûlée the dragon that our waitress helped me with! Truly a magical moment! (So sorry i forgot our waitress's name) Would definitely want to come back!

Yelp
This place was absolutely gorgeous. No detail spared. The black swan was a delicious espresso martini that the bartender at my hotel, told me I needed to go there and try. She wasn't wrong. Gwendolyn's famous chocolate cake was incredibly and also didn't disappoint. The waitress was so kind and patient. Took photos for us and spent time getting to know us as we sat. I was in awe of the decor. Can't wait to go back. Also - everything sparkled! Drink and cake!
