5 Noteworthy and Socially Distanced Dining Events to Try in August | Eater Nashville

"On Thursday, August 13, the creative powerhouses behind The Callaway have orchestrated a one-of-a-kind virtual dinner party called Midsummer Night beginning at 7 p.m.; attendees will receive dinner from Julia Jaksic of Cafe Roze plus mixers and a bottle of gin from Wonderbird Spirits, a custom serving piece from Jessica Cheatham of Salt Ceramics, entertainment curated by Caroline Randall Williams, a signature playlist, and decor and party favors by Meghan McNeer—the entire experience will be delivered to the door of just 20 ticket holders and experienced together via Zoom, with proceeds benefiting The Equity Alliance and tickets (limited to 20) priced at $150 via RSVP email." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Unfortunately, being here has not been worth the stress. The washer and dryer facilities are unreliable, there are ongoing issues with bugs in the apartment, and noise from neighbors is a frequent problem. These issues make it difficult to enjoy any sense of peace. The property itself feels neglected and in need of major improvements. The entire complex could benefit from a full renovation and better maintenance overall. It also feels like management or ownership is not actively involved in addressing resident concerns, as problems continue without meaningful resolution. If you value peace, comfort, and responsive management, this may not be the right place. The property has potential, but significant changes are needed.

If I could 0 for this place I would but I had to give a 1 on repair/maintenance. We moved in July 2024. When we first moved in our maintenance request was met. On the other hand starting in March 2025 a request for a dishwasher repair was sent, a repair man came out on a Wednesday stated it needed replaced it would be on Friday! Again this was in March and is now August 2, 2025. Going on 5 months with no dishwasher. Also sent a maintenance request for a drawer repair and never came back. Took it to the office and showed them how Maintenance repaired the drawer. What was said, “we’ll get ya a drawer on Friday!” Still no drawer.

I’ve lived at The Callaway for almost a year now, and I absolutely LOVE it! Ever since the new manager took over, it’s been such a quiet and peaceful place for me and my kids. You can really tell the office staff genuinely cares about the residents. They host fun resident events at least every couple of months and go above and beyond to handle any concerns. I’ve already recommended a few people to live here, and I even received a $500 referral bonus. Where else do they do that? Highly recommend!

Definitely don’t move there. It’s one of, if not the worst place I’ve lived. Old management was decent but new management…awful. I put in a 60 day notice there and had the apartment spotless to better condition than when I got it and when I called for my deposit back they said it’ll be 30-60 days. I call for it after that timeframe and she said I never lived there and I never gave them a deposit. I have access to the resident portal, proof of me living there, and proof of how I left the apartment and proof of the deposit check being cashed…. I moved out tho because of a shooting that happened next door to my apt. and I was pregnant at the time, and it’s just always loud and something going on. The police are always there and being called. And it’s super dirty, they’ve got roaches and they’ve had them for years, outside it just stinks and there’s always piles of trash out there. It's just not a good place to live with management or family friendly.

I have lived in the apartment complex since 2005. This current management team and owners are the most responsive and attentive out of the previous ones. They've installed cameras, maintained the grounds, super quick to deal with any issues with the apartments. I just signed another year lease. You'll not regret coming here for your apartment.

If your a responsible tenant pay your rent and communicate with the property manager and office staff when needed it’s a delightful place to live, they are very good to me I would definitely recommend The Callaway

Moving from out of state to a new area is always unnerving but Natasha has been the friendliest and most helpful property Manager I’ve ever dealt with. I honestly feel when she says if you need anything that she means it ! The complex is in a great location and very quiet. The apartment has lots of space and tons of closets. It has a very “homey” feel. Can’t wait to update in 6 months and then a year .. If you’re moving to Lexington call Natasha !!! Let's fast forward to one year later still here at the Calloway! I've recruited several friends to live here . This complex has such potential to be a boutique complex and im still hoping that's where it's headed. Huge change in a year with management and it showed. Gone were the days when the breezeways where blown out daily, the grounds were cleaned daily trash and the dog stations clean and stocked. Landscape has been non existent. Management has always been responsive with all our concerns (and there have been many).and I can see the possibility of good changes to come. A little TLC and this place could be a great place to live. Hoping for great changes and this complex and be what potential it has.. I'll update in 6 months.
