The Campaign Against Hunger

My sister put me on to this place to get free food. Its ok. Out of all the times I've order they only came one time on time. All my other orders are ALWAYS days late like they don't wanna deliver here now for the past two weeks I couldn't order and now its saying its no time slots for about a week now smh ridiculous. They NEVER answer the phone either.

I appreciate some of foods I gat from this place but unfortunately the workers are so mean except 2 intakes lady's and 2 old lady's in the pantry. The black jamaica guy that claimed he's a supervisor doesn't even want to hear your complaints about the people who are always skipping the line. and they make you look like you are complaining I hate being going to this place too much discrimination from the workers. I hope there's some new arrangements take in place

I have tried multiple days, at various hours for multiple months to try the online delivery portal and always get the same response that they don't have any slots available. I have tried calling The Campaign Against Hunger to see if my home health aide can go for me and pick up food, they absolutely will not answer the phone. I have left voicemail after voicemail and never receive a call back. I have mobility issues and can't walk to the place, stand on line, and then walk all the way back to my apartment. Absolutely worse place ever.

If your looking to help the community this place allows you to volunteer helping to give out food etc they send family’s to special events on holidays etc . I remember growing up this is how I met mayor Bloomberg I even got a picture with him. This place gives out food clothes etc come check them out . Known for helping the community for many years. They still have my number in the system everything.

In such a time of need they make it difficult to even register to volunteer. Why would my social media be required in a volunteer form? (it'll say optional but will force you to add otherwise you can't get to the next page).Smh well I guess.

Devoting your personal time to help others is always a gift to yourself, others and God. Wrong delivery yet again after the driver was 14 minutes away since 1:06 pm it's now 3:20 pm. He called me back and texed me. I called him right back no answer. 4:45 he answered and I must stay with the wrong order Crazy!...God isn't the problem it's people who think they are him or do not know him at all!

Delivered to the Sheperd Ave warehouse. From the North, took I-678S to Rt.27 (Conduit Ave.) to Linden Blvd. Left on Fountain Ave. to Flatlands Ave. Right on Flatlands Ave. over to Shepherd Ave. & turn right on Shepherd Ave. Should be facing Wortman Ave. Tail end of the trailer should be beside the warehouse entrance. No dock space. Curbside delivery & offload. Friendly staff. Quick unload time. A bit tricky getting offloaded. Super congested street. Small narrow street with busy businesses all around. Make sure to speak with an employee staff to help accommodate your unloading & secure parking.
