"The Canteen was a highly versatile spot at Georgia Tech, frequented weekly by regulars. Its closure left many saddened due to its utility and the variety it offered." - Beth McKibben

"The Canteen, located at Tech Square near the campus of Georgia Tech, is owned by The General Muir’s chef Todd Ginsberg and Ben and Jen Johnson and Shelly Sweet of West Egg Cafe. The partners say TGM Soup, which operates as a lunch pop-up at TGM Bread bakery next door to the General Muir, has become quite popular since opening in 2016." - Beth McKibben

"For those seeking toast at this Midtown micro-food hall, look no further than the TGM Bagel stall. Both the hot smoked salmon and haas avocado varieties come with Mediterranean flair, while the almond butter and banana toast is embellished with honey and bee pollen." - Sarra Sedghi

Nice little food hall/canteen just off Georgia Tech campus. Three restaurants and a bar... all counter service with open seating down the middle. Down side is it’s a little pricey and can get extremely crowded during peak times. Still a nice set up with a nice shared courtyard.

The Canteen appears as advertised! Cool little bar. A bagle spot. A vegetarian spot. But more importantly, now that school has resumed, I can get Fred's on the weekends!!!

First time here. Did the steak laffa at Yalla! It was very good. I must say that it is very loud.

This hummus was as good as Israel. The roasted chickpeas inside was genius!

Bar staff is super friendly. The food choices are great for all taste buds. Highlight is Fred's Burgers. The Chef was super accommodating to a special order. If you're looking for a good place for lunch or dinner, stop on by

All three eateries have nice food and beverage options but somewhat of a wait. When going with friends, it's nice to have one person in your party find a table before you order; it gets quite crowded on weekdays. If you don't mind the noise level, it's a nice place to get work done in a group. Fred's Meat and Bread has a few vegetarian options as far as sandwiches go, but drizzled steak-cut fries work quite nicely. Yalla has quite the variety and lets you order small plates or their items in three ways. TGM Bagel crunches perfectly into a warm gooey center and lives up to the standard set by its namesake.

The Canteen offers impressive variety within their four walls, from truly-delicious sandwiches to mediterranean offerings that are as authentic as they can be and a bar offering refreshing cocktails and beers. I personally find trouble coming here and not ordering the cheesesteak from Fred’s Meat & Bread, but you can’t wrong here. Highly recommended.

Several options for dining, but my favorite is Fred's Meat and Bread. Probably the best cheese steaks in the ATL and a hamburger which doesn't get the respect it deserves! The fries are great too!
