"The Canteen is a tiny food trailer outside of The Thinkery in Mueller. There are plenty of kid-friendly items on the menu—like a kids snack box or a plain hot dog— if you’re on your way out of the children’s science museum, but there are also plenty of all-age favorites, like pulled pork sandwiches and frito pies. All of it is great for a quick, portable, and delicious meal that you can bring into the park, especially if you order the burrata (sourced from Antonelli’s), with heirloom tomatoes and tomato vinaigrette. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary" - Nicolai McCrary

I love this place… It’s a great place for a quick bite to eat while I am at the park in Mueller… I LOVE the fries, and so does everyone else cause they sell out all the time!!! Brian won me over when he remembered my name and my hotdog order exactly! Thanks for being a good place with COLD water!!!

Currently located right outside The Thinkery, this place is an easy stop for a hangry kid. Prices aren't too bad. The food is flavorful and unique. I will say that the Fancy Fries are maybe not as good as the description but still appetizing. Seating is better than most food trucks since there are some concrete blocks nearby but if you're looking for a more controlled environment, maybe the entrance to a children's museum isn't the best place.

The quality of food from this small kitchen is off the charts, everything is delicious, I'm a repeat customer and big fan. My favorite are the piggy sandwiches or canteen fries- so good! Seasonal options are delightful and I love the perfect portions.

Brian and co are just phenomenal humans. You can tell they love feeding people, and are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met! Their frito pie is absolutely delicious, as is their pulled pork “piggy sandwich”. Highly recommend. Keep it up.

Great food and service! We had the piggy bbq sandwich, spicy egg, bone broth, olive oil cake and the pomegranate apple cider. All was fantastic with complex flavors. I recommend the homemade jalapeño sauce to add some kick to anything. We will be back!
