The Canvas Bar

It’s been a year since we’ve been living above this amazing place that has saved our dinner plans so many times! On top of the great service, they offer a special to-go option for residents living above, with discounted prices. My husband and I order at least once a week from Canvas Restaurant, the all menu is amazing but the baby back ribs and the Milanese are our favorites! The drinks, bar, and overall atmosphere are really cool; we truly love having this spot so close to us. The owner, Giuseppe, is wonderful, always available with a big smile. We highly recommend this place, whether for dinner or just a drink!

Starting with the good, the spicy marg was delicious and the burger was really tasty with the gochujang sauce. The ribs were fall off the bone, however, the meat also tasted a bit over refrigerated. In general, the food and drinks were enjoyable! For a bar, the specialty cocktail menu felt rather limited. Service was also alright. We only saw our server when he took our order and brought out the food - Otherwise, he never gave us a refill on our waters or really checked on us. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, so service felt inattentive. It seems like a chill place that is still figuring things out. I would go back, but they definitely have room to do better.

Service is another highlight you’re never overwhelmed, yet you always have exactly what you need. Whether you’re planning a date night, celebrating with a larger group, or just catching your favorite sports game on one of their many TVs, The Canvas Bar delivers a warm welcoming experience. I can’t wait to spend more time with friends and family and this hidden little gem.

The Canvas Bar is a great spot for drinks and food. I went with friends for Happy Hour and it was awesome! The chicken wings were delicious! Adrianna was our waitress. She was very friendly and professional. Giuseppe, the owner, was very welcoming and made us feel at home. For those that don’t know: there is a speakeasy in the back. 🤫

Giuseppe is the sweetest manager I’ve ever met. The tuna tartar tacos & meatballs are amazing!! The aperol spritz, limoncello margarita, & Italian American smash are my top favorite. Definitely coming back!!

I recently dined at Giuseppe's new Midtown gem, and it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience was inviting, and the attention to detail was impeccable. The food was simply phenomenal. We started with the mouthwatering Smash Burger - perfectly cooked with a delightful blend of flavors. The mothballs were a unique and delicious surprise, full of rich, savory notes. The ceviche was fresh and vibrant, a true testament to Giuseppe's culinary prowess. Every dish was crafted with care and precision, making this dining experience unforgettable. Giuseppe has truly elevated this Midtown corner, setting a new standard for quality and excellence in the area. Highly recommend visiting Giuseppe’s for an unparalleled gastronomic adventure. This place is a must-visit for all food enthusiasts!

The place offers a varied menu, vegetarian options and mocktails. The food is was very good so the atmosphere is quite nice too, there is live music, there was a pool table . Thanks 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I can't believe I've never visited this place... Food is on point at resealable prices and cocktails are not watered down. Will def become a regular here especially when the games are on. Highly recommend the bbq wings, starter fries with parm and fetuchini Alfredo. Will def try smash burger when I come back.
