Three Restaurants to Try This Weekend | Eater DC

"I find the best seat at this two-story Chevy Chase location is the bar, where bartenders shake martinis and the chain’s signature Stoli Doli has endured since 1990. The wedge salad slathered in blue cheese and smoky bacon is a reliable starter, and I enjoyed sesame-seared tuna served with a trio of sesame-and-ginger sauces; regulars treat this spot like a Cheers-like hangout. Google
Great restaurant. Really good food. Drinks are very good as well. I enjoyed the steaks as well as the sides for the table. I do recommend that you get a reservation because even with a reservation we still had a little bit of a wait. We did go on a Saturday night so it was very busy but I would go again. Very good food. Very good service and very good atmosphere

Google
I love it here! The service was top notch, Julio-our server-was very attentive and professional. The food was amazing. There was 7 of us celebrating my birthday/retirement. We had a fantastic time.

Google
Perfect vodka martini execution – bone dry, properly shaken, crystal clear. The mahogany-paneled power dining room delivers exactly what D.C. expects: flawless dry-aged NY strip with ideal char-to-pink ratio, butter-poached lobster tail, and Swiss-watch service efficiency. No surprises, just unwavering excellence. This isn't dining theater – it's American steakhouse tradition executed to perfection. Essential power dining where food never upstages conversation but never disappoints.

Google
Had $30 soup, steak, & duck fat french fries lunch option. All was served hot and perfectly cooked. Restaurant atmosphere is upscale with great big booths, plenty of room to ourselves, beautiful flower arrangements and artwork on walls. Very pleasing. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. The only thing I did not like was hearing the chatter coming from the kitchen. Otherwise, it was all 5 stars. Thank you!

Google
I went here for a private event. The service was very good and the food was delicious. We had calamari and bruschetta for appetizers. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the bruschetta was quite tasty. I ordered the seared sirloin and lobster tail. The table sides were mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert they brought us an assortment of coconut creme cake, cheesecake and creme brulee. All of it was spectacular. I can see why this is the favorite of the person we were celebrating this evening.

Google
I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this experience was so awful, I feel I have to warn others. The food was absolutely terrible and ridiculously overpriced for no reason. I ordered a steak, and it came out completely cold—tough, flavorless, and disgusting. I couldn’t even finish it. To make matters worse, the waiter was incredibly unprofessional. At one point, he was holding a knife near us in an aggressive and careless manner, almost pointing it at us! It was really unsettling and could’ve been dangerous. This place is a total rip-off, and I would never recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Google
Aug 2024: I tried a wide range of side dishes, and overall, the meals were splendid. The mashed potatoes were creamy with minimal potato skin, which added a nice texture. However, one of the steaks was slightly undercooked compared to what was requested. The lobster mac and cheese had great flavor, though the lobster was overcooked, making it a bit too chewy. The truffle fries were simple yet perfectly seasoned. I didn’t hear any bad critiques about the salmon. The beet salad was phenomenal, with creamy goat cheese and a delightful addition of pistachios. The only small critique is that the beets were a bit too large—it would have been better if they were cut smaller to balance every bite. The overall experience was excellent, largely thanks to Ian, our server, who has over 5 years of experience, and it truly shows in his attentive and knowledgeable service.

Google
Very classy restaurant. Just fantastic, serveurs are détail oriented and experienced. They make you feel like VIP. I have been there few times already the decor is beautiful and elegant. I truly recommend it. Yummy❤❤❤🎉🎊

Yelp
We splurged for a birthday date night and another time to take out my mother in law! I don't remember our waiters name but he was a tall older man who works the top floor section near the stairs and he took care of us both times! He was really kind and provided great service. I ordered the Waygu steak which was a special for that day and it was sooo delicious and tender. My husband really enjoyed his ribeye and my mother in law has the Cod which she loved. On my birthday I ordered the scallops which was perfect. And the dessert they served me along with the surprise table decorations was all perfect! Thank you capital grille, we will be back soon!

Yelp
Capital Grille is a fantastic steakhouse with superb service. We had Alexander, I believe that was his name, and was he great. Attentive, very knowledgeable and made our youngsters laugh a bit. I asked for him the second time i was there a week or two later. The lobster and crab cake is a good starter and can share this with another person. Wasn't expecting much lobster, but there was! Their shellfish platter to start sets the mood for a great dinner to be had. You come here to get steak and does not disappoint. The kona crusted ny strip had a great char and so juicy inside. Great sauce. The star though was this porcini ribeye. Such great flavor. I highly recommend this ribeye. The sides were okay, being mashed potatoes, spinach with garlic, and mushrooms. For desserts, the chocolate cake was a standout. The lava cake was a snooze, and their coconut cake was good too. The atmosphere is old school country club style, with lots of wood, carpet, making it easy to converse with your table mates. They got rid of their valet parking but it's kind of a waste since you can park anywhere in the vast parking garage. Good place for private parties too. They have two or three rooms to rent and we used this two times for small family birthday parties.
google avatar

Rodger S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful birthday lunch here last week. I splurged & had the lobster salad. It was delicious! My husband had the Cobb salad & liked it very much as well. It was different from most Cobb salads as it included beef rather than chicken.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
This restaurant is always delicious and wonderful, I love eating the salads here because there's always a gigantic portion size, and it was absolutely delicious! The steak was really nicely cooked, and we got it added to both our salads for a little extra but it was worth it. Calamari was so crisp and came with pickled peppers, which were so nice. Waiter was courteous and kind as always and we had a great time at this very fancy, nice restaurant! Great spot to catch up with friends.

Yelp
My favorite steakhouse in Bethesda/Chevy Chase area. Been here many times throughout the years and it never disappoints. My favorite appetizers are the clam chowder, lobster crab cakes and the Cold shellfish platter. For the Cold shellfish platter, they serve you shrimp cocktail, oysters, lobster claws and lobster tails. For steaks, my go to is the Kona crusted NY Strip and the Porcini-Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye. They are so good. Order them medium-rare. It's so tender and flavorful. You honestly can't go wrong with any of their steaks. For sides, the creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and Au Gratin Potatoes are my favorites. For dessert, the Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake is the one to get. They do have a kid's menu and for larger parties they do require a private dining room. I think they can sit parties up to six in the main dining room. They validate up to three hours in the parking garage, so parking is free. Service has always been top-notch. They make a great Old Fashioned.

Yelp
Happy Birthday to me! Had a steak - She had a crab cake - I had the tall red liquor drink with fizzies in it - we had the humongous desert and I am not sure what it was - it was yummy and coconutty creamy and whip creammmy! Love the place!
google avatar

Yelp
Unbelievable! Steaks perfect temperature and great flavor. The BEST lobster man and cheese I've ever had. The BEST coconut cream pie you have ever, ever had - truly unique with a touch of banana oh my gosh! You must eat here!

Yelp
Recently stopped by the Capital Grille for lunch and enjoyed one of their "Plates" with a Caesar salad and steak with rosemary frites (the tenderloin had tons of flavor and had that lovely butter-like texture!). Both were delicious. I also tried the cheeseburger, which was very good as well. Whether you're looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy steak as much as I do, the Capital Grille has got you covered.

Yelp
Excellent steakhouse! We hosted a large group at the capital Grille tonight. We ordered a set menu that included calamari, roasted prosciutto wrapped in cheese, followed by green salad. Then we each ordered from a choice of delicious entrées, salmon, filet mignon, and of course, I had a delicious strip steak, perfectly aged, seared on the outside, medium rare on the inside, dusted with crack pepper. It was excellent! Flavorful, juicy Delicious. We ended with a very nice dark chocolate espresso cake. We had great service. Our private room room was comfortable. Nice!

Yelp
Stunning restaurant, amazing food, exceptional service. Definitely a great happy hour, date night, or anniversary restaurant. I really enjoyed all the dishes and cocktails and will have to come back. I ordered more than I should but have no complaints. The steak was cooked just right, tender, and juicy and I made sure to get the crab meat and butter with it. The lobster Mac and cheese had generous portions of lobster. And the fries were crispy but still had that soft center, the stuff dreams are made of. Admittedly it's going to be on the pricy side, so take that into consideration. So more of a celebration spot than an every day meal. But definitely worth it.

Yelp
We went to capital Grille for anniversary. Our friend bought us a gift card that was sent to us electronically. I would say for future reference ask for a plastic gift card that's tangible because we had some issues that the number would not display. The manager Scott and Sean were wonderful to work with to help rectify the issue. Onward to the dinner, our Waiter was David. I highly Recommend requesting him. He was customer service oriented and exceptional and making sure we were OK during the dinner. The restaurant was busy and we had a nice booth in the back. They had a beautiful anniversary card for us and decorations on the table. I ordered the onion soup, the tuna tartare, and the lobster mac & cheese. Everything was flavorful and made to perfection. My better half got the Tomahawk veal-chop and shared it was tender, fresh, and cooked perfectly. He also ordered a side of corn. Scott and Sean were really wonderful and sent us champagne for our anniversary and dessert as well as an appetizer while we were dealing with the gift card issue. I highly recommend Capital Grille on Western Avenue as it is impeccable, the food is excellent and it's just a nice place to go for any occasion

Yelp
This dessert was amazing. I saw it brought to another table, and since I love coconut, this was a win-win. How do I describe this yummy confection? Not too sweet, not too much coconut, and all around perfect.

Gloria M.

Yelp
End of the year dinner for two at The Capital Grille was fantastic. The food was good, the service was excellent. David, was attentive, picked the right wine for us, and accommodating. What a classy guy. We will ask for David again.

Yelp
We came here for Valentine's Day and I was gifted a card from Christmas I remembered to use but I would gladly have paid fully if we didn't. That's how exceptional the service, food, and atmosphere was here! We had a reservation for 8pm and we arrived a bit before. We did not wait long to be seated, even though there was 1000 guests there last night (literally) our server David told us. Everything was wonderful once we got seated. Even the lady that fills our water and brought us bread before we got to David was super sweet and helpful. She also helps with table prep for the next guests. They brought all the ladies a single white rose during their meals, which was a very nice touch and two chocolate covered strawberries which were ripe and juicy. My girlfriend and I enjoyed everything we had from my steak and lobster tails that were very nicely done and flavorful but not too over cooked, to the mashed potatoes which were creamy and delicious. Then we got our drinks, which I enjoyed but I had to switch out once because one of them was not to my liking. David was very understanding and accommodating. He was a pleasure to have last night and we hope our tip reflected his great service. He was very knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure to get us our food quickly and checked on us throughout the night. Then we ordered dessert. I got coconut cream pie which was scrumptious!! I didn't even want to finish it I took it home it was so beautifully done and delicious OMG. My girlfriend had the creme brulee which had vanilla bean in it you could see the specs of vanilla bean in the actual creme brulee. The fruit was fresh and delicious as well on her dish. To top everything off they had beautiful arrangements of flowers all over and a wine cabinet that really complemented the space well showcasing the sophistication and elegance of this place. I had heard great things and seen great things on their website and I can tell you with 100% certainty they do not disappoint everyone that we came into contact with throughout our night was super helpful and nice to deal with. They even told us as we were leaving to have a great night and they weren't the ones that helped us. This place really sets a standard for what you should want and expect from a fine dining experience!

Yelp
Came back to the Capital Grille 2 weeks ago and had another fantastic experience! The food was delicious, the cocktails fantastic, and service by Mikayla was top-notch! We're looking forward to coming back again soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and ambiance but the food wasn't as great a value as I had hoped. It's definitely a good restaurant to take someone to for a special occasion but I feel you can get a better valued meal for a slight step down in ambiance at other restaurants in Bethesda or Tysons Corner.
google avatar

Kassandra H.

Yelp
Capital Grille is very good, but the prices are pretty steep. I ordered a cocktail from their menu and was not impressed, but they replaced it with something else that was much better. Our server was great. But it felt weird seeing another server walking around with a Costco brochure sticking out of his pocket saying something about savings. It kinda of made the ambiance fee l weird. Like, reminded me maybe I shouldn't be spending so much and should be focusing on saving with Costco lol. We got there around 5 and it was pretty empty, but by the time we left around 6.30/7, it was packed!

Yelp
Food: Is always good can never go wrong with the lobster crab cakes & Mac & cheese Service: 10/10 overall your server do make the experience I had ok servers but always professional Ambiance: Just enough lighting not too dark but still give the moody vibes, diverse demographic, dress code casual enough for sneakers & hoodie but also can be upscale enough for bday anniversary celebration
google avatar

Yelp
I had a great dinner here. All the drinks I had were good. The bohemian was sweet and bubbly, the stoli doli was sweet and refreshing, and the old fashioned was strong and good. The oysters I had were fresh and delicious. I also really liked the lobster Mac and cheese. It was very creamy, they didn't skimp on lobster, and I liked the bit of crunch they added to it. The bone-in dry aged New York strip with shallot butter was amazing. I couldn't finish the whole steak but the flavors were delicious. The restaurant had a dark, classy vibe. The service was good and I would definitely come back the next time I'm craving a good steak.

Yelp
Very special place, old school. Prime ingredients, wait staff who don't miss a step. Tables crisply set up and shining. Elegance combined with deliciousness. Really how life used to be. I like tacos but this is . . . living.

Yelp
I thought I had been here before. I've been to capital *burger!! This place was amazing! And the staff was so kind, warm and welcoming, it was like stepping into a different time This was a great place to have a birthday dinner!! Lobster bisque, sea bass (huge and filling) and cheesecake. I'm stuffed!! Amna was an angel!!
google avatar

Swaraj K.

Yelp
The ambience of this place is very elegant, the area downstairs near the bar looked a bit cramped, the waiting staff were dressed classy and behaved very professionally, able to answer questions and provide more information on chef specials The price looks reasonable for a corporate steakhouse, we had a large group with a few vegetarian eaters, their steaks are very unique, I had tried the Filet Mignon, I highly recommend trying their French onion soup get a crock instead of the cup as it is too. I wasn't very happy with how the Filet tasted I felt it was burnt on the outside and wasn't cooked to request I had asked for a medium rare. I didn't ask them to change as I was busy in conversations with my group. Next time I will go back to getting the Ribeye which is what I usually get. A few words about the bar, they don't have beers on tap, it is a bit congested in the bar area. I bit about the sides, the Brussels sprouts with bacon was salty, Lobster Mac n Cheese is cooked well and is tasty, the Au Gratin Potatoes are alright and the asparagus was too dry. Highly recommend the French Onion Soup it is consistent at any of the franchises you go to.
google avatar

Ted K.

Yelp
Have never been disappointed at a Capital Grille. Steaks are fantastic even if they are not prime, great dry aging. The 14 oz bone in strip at lunch for $35 is a great deal. The burrata with heirloom tomatoes is not on the lunch menu but they let us order it when asked. My niece loves the lobster bisque. I like the Brussels sprouts and the creamed corn. And the crème brûlée. The bone-in filet is also great when they have it.
google avatar

Robin O.

Yelp
Hands down, amazing service, great food. When I mentioned that I was new to the neighborhood and celebrating a special occasion, they bent over backwards to make my experience extra special. Thank you David, Scott & The Capitol Grill Chevy Chase team!
google avatar

Lynne S.

Yelp
Always 5-star service and food when I come here !! I was invited here to celebrate my birthday and as always, CG didn't disappoint! When I arrived to the table, I noticed small decorations that said Happy Birthday! What a sweet and special tough! I ordered a margarita and enjoyed a salmon salad for dinner. I was then Blessed with several different types of chocolate desserts for my birthday treat! Excellent service and food always!!
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for "The Great Pour" in August and it was delightful. This is an event they have where they give you three samples each of both red and white wine, and then give you unlimited pours of the one you deem as your favorite. When I tell you that I left a little on the tipsy side, lol. The food was delicious as well. I got the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails and it was everything. The steak was juicy and the lobster tail was perfectly cooked and flavored. Hubby got some sort of steak that he didn't care for, but I don't remember the name of it. We got truffle fries on the side and they were just how I liked them. Shoe-string fries, seasoned and crispy. I can't wait to go back to this location for The Great Pour event next year.

Nicholas R.

Yelp
Been here multiple times and food plus service never disappoints. High quality beef cuts with my favorite being the tender fillet mignon. Truffle fries and calamari are also tasty.
google avatar

Monique F.

Yelp
I loved the service here, we had birthday reservations and they seated us on time! My steak was perfect and so was the salmon. I loved my drink and I can't complain about anything! I will be back again soon! Stephany was an amazing waitress.
google avatar

TJ L.

Yelp
What a happy accident! What started as a pit stop with a quick drink turned into a night in a "Cheers" like local spot having good drinks, great convos and a wonderful memory made on a birthday boy's weekend. Bar staff was attentive but not overbearing and other guests were in a social mood making for a fun night. As for food, the steak one guest had looked mouthwatering. The Caesar Salad and 2 crab cake appetizer - big hits. And if you want a smooth drink, go for the house special made with pineapple.
google avatar

Nina R.

Yelp
5 Stars! I came here for drinks and appetizers and I was more than impressed. The Bartender was so knowledgeable, took time to explain things, and provided outstanding service. The drinks were impeccable and creative. I had an In-Fashion which was their twist on an Old Fashion. We also had the House Salad which was fresh red and yellow cherry tomatos and crisp mixed greens with a light and flavorful vinegrette dressing. We also had the Fried Calamari which was amazing and served with sweet peppers that packed a pinch of heat. The bread basket contained an assortment of warm and freshly baked bread rolls, a large flat cracker and butter sprinkled with sea salt. The only issue was the change in the Bartenders shift. It went from a late lunch staff to an early evening staff and my bill got sort of messed up. I only wished they had closed my tab like we asked rather than leaving it open and getting items mixed up. When we noticed the error the Bartender said he could not fix it, which I did not understand but I did not want to make a heavy issue of it. Other than that, I would definitely like to go back. If they have other locations in the area, I will check them out!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. My daughter tells me every time, "mommie we have to come back". Must haves: Cold Fish Platter - Chilled 1-lb lobster, shrimp cocktail, and oysters on the half shell Dry Aged NY Strip Bone-In Ribeye Macaroni and cheese (my daughters favorite) My favorite cocktails: Stoli Doli (7-day infusion of Vodka and pineapples) Dirty Goose (Grey Goose Vodka, olive brine, hand-stuffed bleu cheese olives) The service is always great. The last time we visited we had lunch and the server asked if we had tried the Stoli Doli their signature drink. We had not so he provided samples that were so good I had to order it. The lunch portions are generous and priced more economically than dinner.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I've read many positive reviews about their food and their service. I immediately noticed that the interior decor was on the classy traditional steak house. I did enjoy the artwork both in the main level and upstairs. I thought the different clocks for different time zones were something you don't see often anymore. Kudos to that! It was lunchtime; however, I had my eye on the Bone-in Konami crusted dry aged NY strip with shallot butter. I paired this with cream of spinach. The steak itself had a slight pink center (I ordered medium rare), I had thought it was cooked a tab bit more on the medium well side. I wanted my first bite of the steak without the butter sauce. I appreciated the crust and its nutty flavor. It was a bit tough on the chew, and it could have used more salt. 2nd bite I dipped it in the butter sauce, and it made a huge difference! Like 100% more. The cream of spinach was good as well. It had mint, I believe? I really enjoyed that. Lastly, we had the coconut creme pie. This was humongous! I loved that it wasn't too sweet. The whipped cream was fresh, and the toasted coconut shavings added crunch. Ed was our waiter, and he was professional, friendly, and to the point. He knew exactly what I would enjoy (my boyfriend said he could read your mind, lol). You can tell he had many years of experience. He just knew what kind of dishes and desserts I would enjoy. We will come back to try other things on the menu!

Yelp
Called ahead and asked about parking. He told me about the Bloomingdale's 3 hour validation- awesome! Used the bathroom downstairs behind the bar to wash my hands while they prepared my table. Very clean! Was seated in a booth upstairs. Told them it was a birthday in the Opentable invite and they added confetti to the table, gave a free amazing dessert of flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake, and sparkling wine with a raspberry in it. Fabulous! Morgan our waitress was absolutely perfect! She was friendly, efficient, and connected with us. Service was great. I'd request her in the future! My lunch was delicious. I got the 8oz filet and parm French fries. The steak was cooked as ordered. Fries were fresh and crispy. My friend got the creamed spinach as his side to his NY strip and loved it. My other friend got the salmon and was extremely pleased. He also got the coconut cream pie afterward and there were no leftovers. Really a perfect lunch. I highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner in the private dining room last night. We had 6 kids and 7 adults and the whole team could not have been more accommodating and patient with our kids. We celebrated a number of birthdays and Gavyn did a great job handling our rowdy bunch. We love the Capital Grille - it's our go-to for specials occasions. Keep up the great work!

Melissa M.

Yelp
Our business just had a retirement luncheon at the Chevy Chase Location. All we can say is WOW!!! The service was outstanding, the wait team was incredible and met all of our needs even before we asked or knew what we needed. The food was incredible and we just had an amazing time!!! It isn't easy taking on a party of 20-25 but they just outdid themselves and we are so incredibly grateful. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

Yelp
My favorite Capital Grille location. It's located in an outdoor mall and they validate parking for the adjacent garage. However, please note that the garage closes at midnight! I almost got caught out there. Another 5 minutes and I would have had to secure an Uber to take the hour drive home. The interior is large and has the accoutrements of a classic steakhouse. For the life of me though I just don't understand how a grown man can wear shorts or athletic leisure to dinner at such a place. But I'm aware that I'm an anachronism and veering into a rant. The menu is extensive and accommodates well pescatarians. My drinks were on point. Regrettably, I didn't have room for dessert but my wife and daughter and loved the chocolate cake and creme brulee that I brought home for them respectively. Finally, I would add that our server was adept and cordial. He was patient and took his time explaining various dishes and suggesting spot on options. To cap it off the manager likewise let our group close the place down and made us feel so welcome even though he would have been well within his rights to to scoot us along. Kudos to you and your staff!

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner for our children's bday in a private room upstairs. The waiter was exceptional! Food was so delicious and the cocktails were on point! We look forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
I go to Capital Grille several times a month for lunch. My friends and I loved the salmon in delicious sauce. The salmon has been changed to another recipe which is not nearly as good. We miss the previous recipe and no longer order the salmon. The service is always good, the ambience is very nice, but changing the popular salmon recipe is disappointing.

Yelp
My wife and I dropped in for happy hour last week after spending the afternoon in DC. It's not often we have had occasion to dress up since COVID, so we figured we shouldn't waste the moment. :) Our first two drinks were both "home runs". I went with the Stoli Doli (pineapple infused vodka martini) - one of the signature drinks and it was fantastic. My better half won round one with the "In Fashion" - their great take on an Old Fashioned with Grand Marnier and Black Walnut bitters - SO GOOD!!! Second round I had the Double Oak & Rye Manhattan - very solid! My wife went with the Blueberry Bourbon Sidecar - was OK, but a step down from the In Fashion. The Crab Cocktail is a great compliment to good cocktails. We also enjoyed the lobster bisque and the Wedge Salad with Steak added. More of a happy hour than a full dinner - which is a nice way to visit here since the prices can add up quick.

Yelp
As you can see the desserts here were delightful! Service was good and atmosphere was great.

Yelp
My date and I had an amazing time. Dinner was phenomenal, drinks were amazing and the service was outstanding. Porcini rubbed ribeye. Seared tenderloin with lobster tail. Creamed spinach. Asparagus. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Yelp
Great place that's very accommodating and comfortable. Staff our impeccable. I prefer the lunch just because lm down that way. My fav is the filet-men-yon, but the rib-eye is also very good. Last time I was there I actually had both! Yea I got a problem

Yelp
I was invited here for an industry sponsored dinner. As you walk inside the restaurant, the ambiance is very classy. We have been served by a very professional waiter. I tried the fried calamari and cheese wrapped in ham as appetizers which were really delicious.I really love seafood and the calamari was done just right. I ordered the fillet mignon as main course. This was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus which were both fair. The dessert was a flourless chocolate cake with raspberries and whipped cream which was also 4 out of 5. This is a great place for corporate dinners and also dates. They have a great selection of wines. They also have a full service bar on the 1st floor.Parking is ample as there is a parking garage and also street parking. I recommend this place to whoever is visiting DC.

Yelp
The experience at this location was exceptional , our Server was a person by the name of Curt . My drink I had was called the Blackberry bourbon sidecar , it was heaven in your mouth . It just so happen it was restaurant week , but I had decided to order off of the main menu . For starters , I had the oh so savory French onion soup , it is full of flavor and topped with the right amount of cheese, and was the perfect beginning to a cold winter evening. The cut of meat I choice was the bone in ribeye , steak is definitely a personal preference. The cut for me is my fav because it's marbled with fat so it for me is more savory and tender . I requested the Kona rub , which is a seasoning that reminds me of gravy, so it was smothered . The temperature again is personal choice but I always love the medium range, that's a warm red center , delicious . I added sides , my fav are the candied bacon bits a top of pan seared Brussel sprouts . I also added the mushrooms , now of course with steak you have to have some mashed potato's to pair with all of that lovely gravy . The potato's are whipped and creamy and thick and just the right flavoring and texture . I love the this steak house

Yelp
We made a date night reservation the Monday before Christmas. We arrived a little early but we're seated promptly. Server was warm and friendly. Started out with the grape mojitos which were great! Moved on to lobster/crab cakes to start, which were also great. I got the wedge salad and my wife got the mixed greens, which were overdressed unfortunately. Dinner, I got the veal chop and my wife got the filet mignon, which was ordered medium rare but was actually closer to medium and a tad on the salty side (not nothing at this price point). Sides were asparagus, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes, which were all good. Service was also good throughout. Overall, a good experience.

Yelp
I've eaten at this capital grille several times. Some times for work events in their private rooms and some times as a regular dining room customer. Most recently, my family cane to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience. Our steak was cooked fantastically and the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was yummy! The service is always on point too. I only take a star away because the parking is just a little bit of a walk and the entrance is located on a different floor than the dining. Tiny little details but could be difficult for individuals who have issues walking.
