I can’t say enough positive things about my experience here. The staff is wonderful, extremely attentive and knowledgeable. From the gentleman who always knew the perfect time to refill our water glasses to our server who was always available when we needed her but never overbearing, to the kind hostesses, everyone was on their A game and it shows. The food is just what you want from a nice steakhouse. The Brussel sprouts should not be missed..they were a highlight as well as the Mac and cheese. We also loved the steaks as well as the bacon app. If you’re a dessert person the cheesecake and chocolate torte were to die for. I have nothing but praise for this spot and can’t wait to go back again

Google
Went there for dinner tonight and it was amazing. We let them know we were celebrating our anniversary and they were so sweet to us. Decorated the table and even gave us a dessert on the house. The server Autumn was so nice and helpful and explained everything on the menu for us, we went with her suggestions and couldn’t have been happier. The food was incredible. 10/10 recommend going here if you can

Google
I have been here a quite a few times, shamefully it has taken me this long to write a review. Capital Grille is stellar. The food is always a haute cruisine, the staff is beyond kind, and the atmosphere is laid back and still elegant. The recommendations are always on point and the service is very prompt. This is definitely an easy recommendation for any type of plan... Casual lunch during the week to celebrating a milestone/event during the evening. This place is great, truly.

Google
Okay lunch date. First time here. Im a ribeye cut kind of gal and know food. I ordered the ribeye sandwhich and ordered it medium and it was overcooked unfortunately. Our server was great and atmosphere was very good. Just my meal didnt impress me unfortunately due to it being overcooked. Not to mention our server had to go back and get parmesean fries for me because brought out just regular fries.

Google
There is definitely a reason why they have the reputation of being the best. When it comes to food service and atmosphere absolutely top-notch I said this is the times the staff matters from the managers to the Bus boys to my fabulous waitress Alexis. The staff was absolutely amazing. The description of the food made your mouth water, but when the food came to the table that aroma and taste was beyond all expectations. I was celebrating my birthday and the desserts were absolutely out of this world. My favorite is the cheesecake for sure. But my fillet and lobster tail was also as recommended. The wine was great. Had both Malbec and a Port to finish my meal. I had mentioned that my daughter had just gone into labor as we got there so right after I was done eating I was going to be headed to the hospital. The wonderful staff here made a card and sent me a little gift bag with glitter in the card for her to open and celebrate her bringing life into this world. I cannot name another restaurant as thoughtful and amazing. It will definitely be a must go a few times a year for me from now on thank you to the entire staff from the chefs to the wait staff. Thank you for being so amazing.

Google
We celebrated my best friend's 60th birthday here and they put us in a beautiful private room, and catered to us. The food was delicious. It is top dollar, but it is well worth it. Would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion. They bring top-notch service.

Google
Service and food are great. The bread served prior to your meal is so delicious. We also ordered oysters. They were fresh. Cocktail was also good. Valet parking is validated, your parking is cheaper once validated. Forgot the amt. Please bring cash to tip. Valet is located outside Ocean Prime. Right across from this place, not a far walk.

Google
I had dinner here with five friends as part of my bachelor party and it was stellar. The service was prompt and friendly and the server was able to talk at length when we asked questions about food and wine. The food was exactly as we ordered and delicious. If you're looking for a fancy place for fine dining, this is it. The atmosphere is upscale but without feeling too formal. I will eat here again.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on my last day in Denver before heading to the airport. The food was delicious and the service was great. On my way to the airport, I realized I'd left my credit card behind. Manager Gaby was so kind and arranged for the server Brooke to personally drive 35 minutes to bring it to me at the airport! They didn't just serve a great meal -- they went out of their way to take care of me. Truly outstanding service!

Yelp
If you're not a white Republican straight couple then don't go here. This was one of the fanciest restaurants I've been to in a while, and still it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Our straight white male server spent the entire evening fawning over every straight couple in our section while blatantly ignoring me and my male friend. We're not even a couple and I'm openly gay, but it was obvious we weren't part of the clientele he wanted to serve. Our water glasses sat empty for long stretches while he buzzed back and forth delivering champagne, checking on dishes, boxing up leftovers, refilling drinks, and chatting up every other table with a smile. Twenty minutes would pass between courses and not once did he stop to acknowledge us unless we flagged him down. At one point I was so thirsty I had to sip from my friend's glass just to have something to drink. Eventually I had to stand up and speak up. The manager tried to offer my meal for free but the problem wasn't the bill--it was the fact that I was completely dismissed while sitting in a luxury restaurant watching the same waiter provide full service and special treatment to every other table around me. This place might look elevated on the outside but if you're queer or simply not part of their preferred aesthetic it shows in the service. Never again.

Yelp
Things that come to mind when I hear "Capital Grille"? Elegance. A perfectly cooked New York strip. A rich flourless chocolate espresso cake. Comfortable seating. Crisp tablecloths. Service you can count on. Sure, it's a franchise, but let's be honest, Darden is nailing it. And CG is hands down my favorite among their restaurants. I've been to CG for Magical Dining in Orlando a few times, but this was my first time going for lunch at a location outside of Florida. To my very pleasant surprise, they had a lunch deal where you choose a soup or salad and an entrée (and yes, shockingly, the NY strip is one of the options) for around $30. I had the garden salad and the strip, swapping fries for asparagus to feel less guilty about diving into the flourless chocolate espresso cake right after. I could have eaten 3 slices but kept it classy and shared one. Everything tasted exactly how it should at CG: delicious and elevated for the price point. They keep me coming back, and it never feels like a gamble.

Yelp
I was searching for an excellent downtown steak for take out, and hit the jackpot. 18oz dry aged Bone IN new york Strip, cooked perfectly. Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad with Crushed Pistachios and Citrus Vinaigrette to add. oh yes! and the wrapped salted butter accompanying the bread, I like your style. I'd really love a locker to store my tequila at the entryway. Someday.

Yelp
This is the place for a special occasion -- or just an elegant dinner. It's cozy and comfortable with staff that went above and beyond to make this a very special dinner. Special shout-out thanks to our servers Michele and Jake And then there's the food! Oh my!!! Both of us had the Wedge Salad with Smoked Bacon salad. We're not talking bacon bits -- these were chunking of delicious bacon that enhanced the blue cheese and the freshest crispiest lettuce. Yum! Who waxes poetically about lettuce?!?! I do! Husband had the Kona-Crusted Dry Aged Bone-in-NY Strip Steak. It was perfectly cooked, medium rare. I had the Seared Sea Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto. Each bite was a celebration of flavor. Husband said he had to have the side of Lobster Mac & Cheese -- and because it was his birthday -- we got it. It is delightfully rich and yummy. And yes, most of it came home with us because there was no room left in our stomachs! His 70th was special anyway -- but Capital Grille did a great job of putting it over the top. Thanks Michele and Jake -- and to the whole crew!

Yelp
This place is our go-to for consistent food, service & atmosphere. We always sit & eat at the bar. The drinks are always great. The bartenders are very thoughtful when it comes to splitting appetizers & meals. I didn't know it was an option to get a half order of sides but our server let us know & it was the perfect amount. Same with the chef special's, we got the tenderloin with lobster tails & it was the perfect amount for splitting. I also had GF requests & they brought me a separate menu that had all the different items that could be made gluten free.

Yelp
I went here for my birthday and WOW! The food, the service, and the management in general was just amazing. Our server Stephen was so beyond helpful and attentive. The table was set up so beautifully when we arrived, with birthday decorations and a card. The service was amazing and a few of the managers came and checked on us throughout the dinner. Towards the end they brought me a card and a dessert. The food was absolutely wonderful and was just as Stephen described it all to be. They went above and beyond in every aspect. Overall, I am so impressed with their food and service and if I could give above a 5 star rating, I would!

Yelp
I've been to Capital Grille twice in Denver, once in Vegas. Each time the Grille has hit it out of the park. My second time in Denver, I opted for the lunch plate special: dry aged NY steak with your choice of clam chowder or salad. I have to say that steak was one of the most tender and tasty pieces of meat I've had. Only $30. I don't know how they do it. Typically, I think the steak alone would normally run you anywhere from $40-60+, depending on where you order it. I should point out this is a lunch only special, served during the weekdays. If you can get down there, run, don't walk, you'll be glad you did. Oh yes, almost forgot, the calamari is excellent. I hope they still have it the next time I visit Denver or Vegas.

Jack R.

Yelp
Overpriced for the quality of food. You're really just paying for the ambiance here. I could have made a better steak with a $10 cut and an airfryer and saved myself $90.

Yelp
A fun place for happy hour or a fancy night out. A friend and I have come here a few times to let our hair down and have a nice evening of laughing and story telling and drinking. The espresso martinis are a great way to get the evening going. The apps this time were not exactly my favorite but we ended up have the ny strip, wedge salad and some mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent. We shared all the food and still had leftovers. We had four drinks and dinner and it was $190 out the door. Not the cheapest steak in town but definitely a quality and reliable experience. Staff are exceptionally good. Ambience is comfortable but classy with valet parking at Larimer and 15th. The daily specials always included a surf n turf option and although they sounded amazing wasn't huge what we were looking for.

John B.

Yelp
Met for dinner with a relative from out of town on business on October 15th at 7pm. Service was very good. The restaurant was full. The NY dry aged strip steak was over cooked to medium well and difficult to even cut with their steak knife. Sent it back, another was produced med rare, as originally ordered, but was really tasteless and not very tender... but still was tasteless, do they not season the steak. The other party's filet was over cooked also, but filets are still tender to cut and eat and was not sent back. The mashed potato's were....not thick or tasty, not exactly runny but sad. There is no gravy offered with the mashed potato dish. The side dish of mushrooms were ok. The French onion soup was very good but served in a very small cup. There is a CG planned for Castle Rock being built and at first I was pleased to know, but now, I will doubt that I will frequent and instead keep to Del Frisco's in the tech center. Valet parking is offered at $15 but those of us driving $100K+ auto's prefer to not have the valet drive your auto around the block to a public parking garage, considering the possible accidents that can occur. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is nice but the food was not all that tasty. I just expected a better food experience.

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about had a family birthday for our son party of 7 in a private room with a nice big round table. tonight Allison our server was amazing! So friendly professional and made great recommendations. Outstanding service and made the evening very special. She brought out champagne and several amazing desserts on the house to top off a spectacular dinner!! Thanks Allison for a great night!!

Yelp
Outstanding experience. This is not a location to be overlooked because it's a national corporate group! Hats off to Sean for a world class service experience at the bar. The ambiance is excellent, as expected from a city-center Capital Grille, but this location was spotless and very clean. We came for a work happy hour and the food was wonderful. The only advice I can give you is a) sit at the bar with Sean and b) if you leave without ordering the cheesecake you're doing it wrong! Lead Bartender Sean and his backwait Jay gave our group world class service and the manager Matt came by both with food for entrees and again post dessert to check in on our group. They are shining examples of exemplary hospitality. We are looking forward to our next event!

Yelp
The service was absolutely fantastic! The place was a little loud for my taste however the food and drinks were amazing! I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Shout out to the staff. We have been coming here for special occasions for the last 6 years. My mom's 90th birthday with the entire family private room the experience was incredible. We did her 91st just 4 of us again it was great. And have probably been there off and on another five times. Last night for mom's 93rd birthday. Everything was great except a little disappoint in our steaks. When asked by the manager how was everything we were apprehensive to say but were coaxed to tell how we felt. Staff great, sides great , sea bass great, Steaks were off in flavor. Their response was to over compensate us. Completely un expected we will be back. We would have come back even without the compensation. We appreciated being treated so well. Thank you from all us

Yelp
Give Sean a raise!!!!!!! Hahaha!!! This guy is literally the heartbeat of this place. I've visited Cap Grilles all over the country. Always great food and a great experience...but the Denver Cap Grille is beyond special...and no lie...it's all because of Sean. I'm in town for two weeks. I love to try a new place each night when traveling...but that Sean keeps me coming back to Cap Grille. He really needs to stop being so awesome, so I can try more restaurants in this darn city LMAO! His energy is infectious. I'm here on business, and after a long day of work I can't help but crave the amazing energy and laughter I receive when I park at the bar. He really makes my night shift for the better. I sincerely LOVE this place...and Sean's right hand gal Sydney, such a sweetie!! Please keep being the beautiful humans you are. You never know what kind of day a person has had, and how your great service and bright energy makes such a difference. My sincere THANKS Sean and Sydney. Oh and my fave after dinner treat...the Creme Brule...divine!

Yelp
Enjoyed this restaurant with co-workers in a private dining experience, therefore no photos. I can't say enough about this upscale fine dining experience. Service was attentive and top tier. Excellent wine menu and variety of options for any palate; steak, fish, chicken, vegan, etc. Appetizers included mozzarella wrapped prosciutto and the calamari, salmon entree, sampling of cheesecake, crème brûlée, and a chocolate espresso treat. All were excellent but I would rank the calamari, salmon, and cheesecake as the best I've ever eaten. If you're looking for fine dining with dress code, this is a can't miss.

Yelp
The filet was absolutely disgusting. The manager was kind, but getting dinner here was a total disaster

Yelp
Nov 1st! 6:00pm reservation. We checked in 2 mins prior to our reservation time. The host that was working that night, was not so helpful nor friendly. Not to mention, if you aren't white. You will get seated last. Two men came in after us, around 6:05 or so to check in. They also had a reservation for 6pm. They got seated right away, one other white couple got seated after them. Now, we've been waiting for 18 mins now. Still nothing. We've been to the Las Vegas and California locations. Let me tell you, their service is top tier, the food is delicious. This is a high end steakhouse. I would expect top tier costumer service, which we did not get. We always spend $300 plus and leave a very nice tip. We decided to walk away, left a bad taste. We came for a weekend trip, everyone from our hotel to coffee employees and such have been wonderful. Very nice people, we had the pleasure of dealing with, until tonight. We ended up leaving and finding Panzano (Italian) it was delicious.

Yelp
My partner and I were celebrating a very special professional occasion for the both of us with my parents and decided to spend our evening at the capital grill. Our waiter, Eric, is hands down the best waiter I've ever had in my life. He made every effort to make our evening as special as it could possibly be. He brought us a special dessert, gave us the best recommendations for food, and was hilarious and warm the entire night through. The food was absolutely to die for. Steak was perfectly cooked, drinks were immaculate, sides were superb, and desert was divine. I couldn't recommend this restaurant in any stronger of terms if you have a special occasion to celebrate and be sure to ask for Eric when you go. Thank you Capital Grille!

Jordan M.

Yelp
We had an event here with friends and family and boy, did they deliver! Gabbie and the team were amazing. They made planning it so smooth and from the moment we walked in the door, the service and hospitality were absolutely stellar. Every little detail was seen to, from thoughtfully set tables to the custom drinks and menu they helped us with. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Yelp
We had time before our show and decided to get some apps and beverages. This place is snazzy. The guys decided to share some lamb lollipops which I'm told we're prepared to perfection. My friend and I shared the lobster and crab cake. It came with a lemon basil aioli. The aioli was a wonderful compliment to the richness of the cake. I would have taken a picture but we devoured it. The waitstaff was helpful with suggestions. My husband got a Belgian Trappist beer that he thoroughly enjoyed. My friend and I shared a lovely bottle of Prosecco. Her husband ordered from their bourbon menu and was pleased with his selection. I want to come back for another date night sometime.

Yelp
Went there for a Father's Day dinner. Everything was on point, cool, vibe, great staff, and awesome even socializing with some of the customers there.

Yelp
Superb service! The waitresses were so kind, did an appropriate amount of check-backs, and made sure we were satisfied. This was likely the best meal I ever ate - coffee crusted steak, salty mashed potatoes, rounded out by some incredible desserts. You must try the Kona bone-in strip - life changing! Also worth mentioning, I'm not much of a steak lover and will routinely opt for seafood or poultry; so for me to say this was some of the most incredible food I have ever eaten, says a lot about the quality and taste. Let's not forget about the apps. The prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella was creamy and gooey. It's not something I normally would have opted for, but now it's something I can never forget. I also must rave about the bread basket. Loved the variety - the roll with caramelized onions and the pumpernickel with raisins stood out to me. All bread should be this fresh and delicious. If you order the wedge salad (which is drool-worthy with the smoked bacon nuggets), be sure to soak up every last bit of blue cheese with all the bread options. And although my table was full from all the savory food, when the sweets came out, they were irresistible. Even my friend, who almost always passes on dessert, could not stop eating the creme brulee (it was so smooth). I'm a sucker for a rich flourless chocolate cake and a lover a cheesecake - and these ones were top-notch. Highly recommend not skipping dessert, at least take some home. By far, the most incredible fine dining experience of my lifetime! A must-try if in Denver.

Yelp
Great bar area and very busy so get there early. The thick sliced bacon if the bomb! Steaks of course and a martini before. Enjoy!

Yelp
I a couple of weeks ago for the wagyu burger and it was delicious. Sadly my second experience wasn't as tasty. Although I love my steak, medium, rare, I like my burgers medium well. My first time my burger was cooked beautifully and was wonderfully juicy. On my second visit, however, my burger came out, medium rare. I took a couple of bites trying to muscle through the cook temp but I just couldn't do it, so I sent it back. I was surprised to see that they put that burger back on the grill to finish cooking. I didn't think you could take food that had been partially eaten and put it back on a cooktop or a grill, but I guess you can. This time, the burger was cooked well done and wasn't as juicy as the burger I had a couple of weeks ago. They did bring fresh fries with the burger so that was nice. I don't know who was in the kitchen, cooking burgers that day, but I noticed the table next to us sent both of their burgers back. I also noticed that they got new burgers refired for them, but I think they are regulars and I am not. Will I go back to CH? Of course I will, but probably not for a burger.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that , I had the best Gorgonzola steak here. We also enjoyed the scallops , potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The Rockefeller oyster and much more. Every dish was delicious. The service was superb and the ambiance very intimate.

Yelp
The Capital Grille never disappoints! We stopped in for lunch @ this Denver location. We were greeted and seated immediately. Service and atmosphere were fantastic, as always.

Yelp
Let's start with the ambiance. Casually dramatic is the best way to describe the atmosphere. Low lights, dark walls, and old elegance. The waitstaff is dressed in classic white and black. Our waiter, Theo, was very knowledgeable about the entrees and drinks. He made some wonderful selections that had my tastebuds dancing. He was patient, thorough, attentive, and authentically invested in his patrons. Now, on to the food. I ordered the seared tenderloin and butter poached lobster with grilled asparagus. Tender is an understatement for the tenderloin The lobster was sweet and tender as well. The asparagus had just the right amount of bite. The cocktails were just right. Try the Stoli Doli. This place is worth the visit whether you are a native of Denver or visiting.

Yelp
We made reservations here for my sister's birthday, we enjoyed the food and the friendly staff. As we walked in our table was ready, nice seating area intimate and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed the Sushi-Grade Sesame Seared Tuna, the Calamari and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. We had some drinks and it was really nice of the staff to bring a birthday treat with candles. Great evening, great food, great experience.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! We had a few dietary restrictions and the waitress was very attentive and made sure everyone had a great experience!

Yelp
Pretty yummy fries and dessert (since that's all i got) staff nice but sort of slow. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing though the decor is sort of unorganized and strange.

Yelp
A friend of ours from Costa Mesa Capital Grille recommended we visit this one in Denver if we had a chance. I am certainly very happy that we did. My wife and I met our niece and her new boyfriend. We have not seen her since leaving California. We had a good time catching up. Ariel was our waitress. She did a great job until she was no longer there and the bartender took over. We ordered around of adult beverages. Even though it was not on the menu, they made my favorite, a Double Oaked Manhattan. My wife ordered their blackberry sidecar, and there was wine for our niece and her boyfriend. We did not order any starters. I ordered my usual filet mignon with cream spinach. I thought I ordered pepper crusted, but it was very loud in there. My wife ordered thereNew York strip steak with wine sauce. Our niece, the Seabass and her boyfriend the sliced filet. As usual the food was absolutely delicious! We are very happy we visited this Capital Grille. We especially enjoyed the old school flare. It reminded us a lot of Costa Mesa Capital Grille. If we lived in the area, I'm sure we would visit regularly. You can't go wrong at The Capital Grille!

Yelp
Having never been to the Capital Grille I was excited for an opportunity as I met the executive chef through mutual friends. I went with my parents, sister and girlfriend on my birthday. We did make a reservation even though it was a Tuesday. The hostesses sat us immediately at a table in a room just off the main area. It was full of paintings, wood and a wine cabinet and looks very elegant. The table was decorated for my birthday and there was a card on it. No restaurant has ever done this for We were given water right away as we waited for 3 others to arrive. The food was fantastic. We shared the Grand Plateau which has several kinds of seafood. It was so good. They are known for their steaks and they were cooked to order. My preference is medium rare and it came exactly so. The Capital Grille is expensive and worth it. Whether coming for a special occasion or a nice business meeting this is a high quality restaurant.

Yelp
The breads were varied and served warm. The crab and lobster cake was the perfect appetizer. The clam chowder was very silky. The burrata and heirloom tomatoes were very fresh and crisp. The sliced filet was soft and tender and the mushrooms on the side were the best I've ever had. The salmon was soft and springy and the citrus sauce was refreshing. We ordered red wine. The kind manager presented us with dessert. The flourless espresso chocolate cake was amazing! It melts in my mouth and accompanied by rich coffee and chocolate aromas. The cheesecake was also delicious. The service was very attentive and I liked the enthusiasm of the staff and the pace of the food served. The decor is very elegant. Without a doubt, Capital Grill is my favorite steakhouse in Denver. My girlfriend and I had a great night. Thanks to all the staff, chef and manager.

Yelp
A couple of my gal pals and I were in Denver for the weekend and decided on this spot. The waiter first of all was so patient and knowledgeable. They provide white rolls with sesame seed and breakable crackers for the table. That bread was life. The passion fruit mojito was DELICIOUS. The 28 bucks meal was the best option as it came with entree and appetizer. For apps we all got calm chowder which was creamy and rich. My main entree was the salmon which came with cous cous, I thought the portion was too small but eating the bread, crackers and drinking, it was just the right amount. At this point we did not have dessert because we were stuffed. Although we were not dressed, as the restaurant is upscale dinning, we still felt welcomed.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! We loved every course so much. Went for our 22nd wedding anniversary. It was everything we wanted in a special occasion dinner

Yelp
A delicious mouth watering Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with 75 15- Year Aged Balsamic was to die for my dinner. Add the South African Lobster tail and you have a death row kind of meal. The service is impeccable & my waiter made an excellent Bourbon Trace suggestion. Usually not a dessert guy, however the Coconut Cream Pie that I shared with my wife mmm good with the after dinner coffee. Every dollar spent was worth every ounce of steak. One of the managers will stop by your table the old school way to make sure the meal exceeded your expectations.

Yelp
Love The Capital Grille! Our server was an older woman and she was divine. She made great recommendations for my partner and I to share and it was great. She made sure we both had even amounts and they were very generous. The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the fish and it was cooked beautifully. We sat on the patio on a warm evening and it was so comfortable and refreshing. Can't wait to come Back!!

Yelp
You had one job. When you are one of the top steakhouse chains in the country, your steak should be unquestionably excellent. That is not the case at THIS location of The Capital Grille. Yesterday my wife and I decided to celebrate my birthday at the Denver location. First, I want to stress that the service was impeccable. Irene was outstanding. I was happy to leave her a good tip. The ambiance was very nice. I was relaxed and enjoying the conversation with my wife. I ordered the bone in NY Strip, Au Gratin potatoes, and the corn with bacon. For desert we had the cheesecake. I'll just get it out of the way that the potatoes, corn, and cheesecake were simply outstanding. The Au Gratin Potatoes were a standout. Absolutely delicious. But this is a top tier steakhouse. I expect top tier steak and frankly I could have done better with a Costco prime strip and my own grille. The steak was medium rare, as ordered, but it was a lifeless hunk of meat that didn't do any favors to my taste buds. It was a little dry and I don't think it was seasoned at all. I probably should have returned it but I was hungry and didn't want to wait for another steak. $187 + Tip isn't a trifling amount. There are many excellent steak options in Denver. Unfortunately The Capital Grille isn't one of them. Frankly, the Shanahans seems to cook a much better steak, and for less money. But damn, those potatoes were perfection.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants to go to in Denver. Love the attention to detail from staff and the chefs. The food is always sensational. Our go to spot when ever we want to eat out.

Yelp
This place, like its sisters in other cities was beautiful and the food was divine. However, there is a lot of construction happening on its street so it was difficult to get to which I know isn't their fault so give them a chance. I also was not impressed with their service. I realize they have a more lax atmosphere to allow people to enjoy their time dining. However, we had to flag down several servers to get the first order in, our second and then finally our check. We were not in any kind of hurry but it very much felt like we were being over looked.

Yelp
Since the Larimer street is closed to the auto traffic, you have to park or valet further away. It is only a few more blocks to walk. The restaurant is super busy on Friday night so you will definitely need to make a reservation if you want to sit down at the restaurant side. I am sure the bar area during HH not needed to be. We sat nearby the bar but it was very loud so if you are looking for a quite place to dine, must need to sit far away as possible from the bar area. We got there on time, trying to check in but the couple front of us was having a hard time understating that there is a waiting if you have not reserved the table. Because of this, one of the hostess is tied up but there was also another hostess but due to lack of organization, she was just staring at the ceiling. We finally had to step pass the other annoyed couple to get our table. All went smooth without hiccups after the initial annoyance. Our water and bread was brought over very quickly and our waiter promptly took the drink order. Overall, our experience was positive and not hurried at all. If you need to make it speedier, I am sure they will accommodate your needs. Our steaks came out perfectly. It is on expensive side (upscale steakhouse) and they did deliver the value. Since Capital Grille and Eddie V's is owned by the same group, my next question is.. which one delivers better value?

Yelp
My dining experience at The Capital Grille was outstanding. I ordered lobster bisque and house salad for my appetizer, my entrées were a porcini crusted ribeye (bone in) and sea bass, my side dish was lobster mac & cheese. The lobster bisque didn't have as much lobster flavor in the broth as I would've liked, but the chunks of lobster had amazing flavor. The house salad was very good and perfectly dressed. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and had a great flavor, so was the Seabass. The Seabass was very delicate and cooked to perfection. The star of the meal was the lobster mac & cheese, I ordered the lobster mac & cheese to compare the lobster mac & cheese at Ruth Chris (which is very good), this lobster mac & cheese in my opinion is even better. The service was outstanding, from the host team and my servers, also the manager showed amazing leadership. The manager was very attentive to me and my guest and ensured we had an amazing meal. This is a great place to eat for a special occasion or just a great steak dinner.

Yelp
This is a quintessential steakhouse, perfect for special occasions. Came here to celebrate a birthday and boy did it deliver an A+ experience. Confetti on the table, a photo from the wait staff, dessert the whole 9. Lamb was exceptional! Light mint flavor crusting the outside with 4 generous chops. Would love to eat this every day if possible. Nice strip steak cooked to our desired tastes. Tasty cream spinach. Delicious Malbec. Will be back soon!

Yelp
It's been a long time since our last meal at the Capital Grille. And now I remember why . . . So there's a serious question or two that has to be asked when you end up spending $450 for a dinner for 2. Seems like the first question is, "Are you out of your freaking mind?!?!" I guess the 2nd question is, "Was it worth it?" I don't have an opinion on the answer to the first question. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe I'm not. But it seems to me it's a question worth asking whenever you go out and spend over $100 on a meal for 2. For us, we didn't plan on spending that much but when I looked at the wine list I saw a wine that I had previously had when my incredibly generous spouse took me out to a great birthday celebration dinner at a chi-chi Denver downtown restaurant. It was simply one of the best wines we'd ever had. (There's a pic of the bottle below, and if you can ever taste a wine from that winery, it will change your mind about many things, one of which is how much you might, under the right circumstances, be willing to spend on a bottle when you go out on a special occasion). Now me, I'm not a person who typically orders bottles of wine that run more than $50-$60 or so at a restaurant. Generally restaurants mark up their wine 2-3x what they pay. So why should you pay $60 to get a wine you could buy for $20? But in this case I know that the Capital Grill only marked the bottle up 50% from what the wine would have cost me to buy at one of the big box wine stores. So the price of the bottle while high (a bit over $150) was actually very "reasonably" priced. A good part of the price of our pleasure that night was enjoying an incredible wine with a wonderful wild mushroom crusted rib eye (and filet for my honey). I guess we could have saved $100 if I'd ordered a less expensive serviceable wine. But it seemed like a good idea at the time. With great service, spectacular wine, wonderful steaks, sides and dessert (their expresso chocolate flourless torte), we're at the bottom line question: Was it worth it? In this case since I bought the dinner as one of my honey's Christmas presents and to give thanks for all that she did over the busy holidays, the answer is "yes." It was indeed worth it. But it was worth it also because 6 months ago I had checked out what they call the Great Colorado Payback (https://colorado.findyourunclaimedproperty.com/) where you can learn if the state has any money that you are owed (and you don't know about). Turns out someone who owed my old business some money but who declared bankruptcy years ago ended up having an estate that paid some of the money that I'd forgotten about, but discovered on that website, and it was enough to pay for the dinner and more. I think for all the above reasons I should sign off on this review as, David "Better to be lucky than smart" M

Yelp
Loved the starters. We had a salad and the French onion soup. That should have been the main meal for us. So delicious. However, the mains were less than desired. My husband had lamb. It was raw and very fatty. I had the medallions and they were just okay. Service was nice.

Yelp
Hi my name is Arnold and I went here. Star 1/10 the overall design of this restaurant. Next, star 2/10 was the great menu. They even had a kids menu! Anyway, the food like salad and the steak was great. Next the service, it took a while because when I went the restaurant was crowded but it took like ten minutes for the salad to come and 10 minutes for the steak. 5 stars

Yelp
Probably my favorite steak house in Denver. It puts it altogether with great steaks, a beautiful setting and well trained service people, A reservation is a must!
