The Capital Grille

Upscale dining, befitting of its reputation and location. Á la carte menu style. This was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed. The lobster bisque was creamy and flavorful. A little thick for my liking and, not wanting to fill up before my entrée, I had the majority packed up to take home. The lobster and crab cake was 💯! I'm a meat purest, so for my main course I stuck with the traditional 14oz KC Strip accompanied with the mashed potatoes. Both were perfectly prepared and excellent flavor. My wife enjoyed their lobster mac-n-cheese, emphasis on the generous lobster portions, and parmesan truffle fries. As a special anniversary surprise, we were treated with an intimate dessert. All in all, a wonderful experience!

First off, the service was great! The drinks were cool. The food, the lobster Mac & cheese was a bit dry. The steak was medium well done, but more well done so a little too tough which took away from the flavor. I’m not used to sending food back so when my awesome waiter asked I said it was ok. But now I know for the price, I probably should have sent it back. Great staff.

The porcini rubbed ribeye with balsamic reduction. Best steak i have ever had! Husband had filet with South African lobster tail. Best lobster i ever ever had also! Filet was very good, but nothing to write about like the ribeye! Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella with balsamic vinegar reduction, It’s a must order!! The Brussel sprouts, do not remember the sauce, we’re good but very salty so we did not finish those. It was still good just not the best, The table bread is amazing! Definitely one of my favorite places to go!

We had a retirement celebration there for an employee and the service was excellent. The food was hot and good including the appetizers down to the restroom. The servers were awesome and kept everyone cups full. Prices for the food and liquor is great for the quality and quantity of food they bring out to you. Atmosphere and lighting were good.

The food is good, the service was wonderful. Classic the more you pay the less food you get. 3 of us had to share the side dishes to our meal. I have never paid this much for food and had to share my sides, especially between 3 people. Its not a meal I'm bragging about. I guess I'm just a regular Joe because I'm not impressed and not aching to go back. Had plenty of "lower class" restaurants that I have left happier. Great for those with disposable incomes.

I have eaten here once before and was absolutely fantastic. This time however was not, I ordered the roasted chicken with risotto and got a bowl with chicken, risotto swimming in some sort of chicken liquid "sauce". Absolutely flavor and chicken was dry as a bone. I paid $200 and left starving. What the heck Capital grille. Photo from the togo box they put the food in. My servers were fantastic and friendly, 10 out of 10 !

The lamb chops were excellent!! Every dish was top tier and left us wanting more. It was a perfect birthday meal!! Will definitely be back.

The food was very good but not wonderful . However, the service was exceptional. Thank you to Joe, who went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner experience memorable. Joe was not just our server but a photographer. Thank you to Zack for the Stolidoli.

- "Steak So Good I Considered Proposing to It" The Capital Grille in KC is where steak dreams go to live their best life. We had Nancy as our server and let me tell you--if service were an Olympic sport, she'd have taken gold while simultaneously shaking our espresso martinis table-side like a cocktail ninja. Attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and more polished than the silverware--Nancy is the Beyoncé of steakhouse service. Started off strong with the bone-in ribeye--juicy, flavorful, and probably still thinking about it. Béarnaise sauce? Oui oui. Mashed potatoes were creamy clouds of comfort. Lobster mac? Straight-up seafood poetry. Like, if mac and cheese went to Harvard, met a lobster, and fell in love. Coconut cream pie came in hot (well, cold--but you get it). Delicious, rich, and flirty... though the crust was a touch sweet, like it was trying a little too hard at dessert prom. Still ate the whole thing because I'm no quitter. Espresso martinis were shaken right next to our table--nothing says luxury like watching someone do bar acrobatics 3 feet from your face. 10/10 would sip again. Only hiccup? Bread was MIA until we asked, and the butter was straight out of an iceberg. But Nancy looked like she personally felt the betrayal of that bread delay, and honestly, I'd forgive her for anything short of arson. Moody steakhouse vibes, great lighting, free easy parking, and just steps away from enough shopping to work off the ribeye guilt. Will return. Will order lobster mac. Will bring my own room-temperature butter just in case.

I really love the Capital Grille so i decided to order take out tonight. Unfortunately, I didn't have that good of an experience taking out. The staff were friendly but I unfortunately found not one.. but three pin bones in my salmon. When I called to inform the staff that I found the three pin bones, the manager apologized and offered to remake it for me but it's a 20 minute drive and so I didn't feel inclined driving all the way back. If you decide to order the salmon, please take a closer look at your food to ensure you don't ingest one of these.

For a space with 5 $$$, I'd expect more. I sat at the bar. It wasn't busy. I was one of maybe five people in the bar area. The bartender's version of a Manhattan was to fill the glass with ice pour some bourbon and then some vermouth, stick a cherry in it and set it in front of me. And she did that like she needed to rush to the bathroom. I ordered the sliced filet and a vegetable. The vegetable was yummy. The filet came out luke warm and chewy. Probably a bad day because I've always enjoyed this restaurant. A side note: one thing that really bothered me was a gentleman came in to collect a to go order. He returned about 20 minutes after he left to share that part of his order was missing from the bag. He didn't act upset or put out or frustrated, he simply shared the information. The bartender treated him like he had done something wrong. In a very sarcastic tone, she told him she was busy and she'd get to it as soon as she could. If you miss something in an order and make a customer come all the way back to the restaurant, you stop what you're doing to make it right. Period.

Bad experience. Went for a celebration and ended up debating whether to go to the ER. Told a waiter there was water on the floor. He said it wasn't his table. Our friend fell, hit her arm and head. Ordered food. Mine was wrong. Waiter took back and ordered the sea bass. It came after everyone had finished. I had it boxed and finished cooking it the next day. It was raw. No one offered anything. Not even a cup of coffee for free. My husband went to restroom. It was filthy. Unflushed toilets and paper towels all over the floor. My husband walks with walking sticks due to disability. He fell when trying to open the door. One of his sticks hit a paper towel. Thank you to the two gentlemen that help get him up. They were not employees. The manager came. Asked for our information. I asked if he wanted our friend's information. He had no idea she had fallen. No one told him.? No one has called us. No follow up. When you pay for a nice meal for a special occasion, you expect good food, great service and clean restaurant. We will not be returning.

OMG. What an amazing meal. We came for my mother's bday. Great service --shout out to Brett. The steaks and lobster were perfectly cooked, the apps (calamari and caviar French onion chips) were delish, but the cheesecake??? Daaaang. So. Good. Highly recommend. 6 stars.

Ain't nothing like ordering up som lobster Mac & cheese, best you'll ever have! Ordered online with an estimated ready time of 40 mins. Called in to check on that order completion time and I was advised she check with the kitchen to get it ready sooner. I arrived in under 25 mins or so. As I walked into the door, I was serenaded with a "Hi, Welcome" with a big smile. It completely caught be off guard.. I had to chuckle and tell her how good she was. Gabby was so bubbly! She checked on my order and brought it out in 2 mins! Exceptional experience for a carry out order! She even added bread & butter even though I didn't have it checked. Mac&cheese was a bit dry when I unveiled it at home.

Big problems! Our server was slow to check in with us throughout the meal. From the time she asked if we wanted to see dessert menus to the time we finally asked another server (ours was nowhere to be seen), 20 minutes had elapsed. The first check our server brought us was someone else's. The second check was incorrect, and when we pointed out the errors to her, she argued with us (and she was wrong). Finally, we asked to see the manager. The server did not inform the manager of all our problems, only that we had been given the wrong check. After I had explained our total experience, the manager comped us our entire meal. Overall, the food was excellent (though each course came out with long, long gaps between). The server appeared to only have three tables--a 2 top and two 6 tops. Without the intervention of Kim Halloran, a managing partner, our evening would have been a disaster and we would have left upset and unhappy. Instead, we will definitely be back to try again another night. Thanks, Kim.

Brett and Saul were absolutely amazing servers! They treated us like queens! We got our own private table when we arrived; It was 7 of us. It was amazing food and drinks! The vibes were so cute and classic. Definitely on the pricey side but so worth it!

Steak was amazing me and my girly went here. The pricing was unexpected but the prices were right on point for the food and service!

My dad gave us a gift card for our anniversary. I mentioned one that I really liked it (Went to the one in Ohio when we lived there). So on a whim, we made a quick reservation and went in. This one is so much bigger and nicer than the one in Ohio. We were seated within 5 minutes. They had the ambiance going because it was a little dark. Lol Our waitstaff Cory was amazing! He explained all the special things that day. I was looking for a particular Mojito that wasn't on the menu. He said that was their old version. The new version was Passion Fruit. I really wanted the old version (made with champagne and frozen grapes). Cory went to the bar and had them make the one I wanted! It didn't have the frozen grapes but it was still amazing! Thank you Cory! Hubs had some kind of margarita. He said it was very good and ordered another. For starters, we had the Lobster and Crab Cake. It was delicious! It was more lobster and crab than breadcrumbs like it should be. So good. For our meals, I had the Kona Crusted Bone In KC strip. Hubs had the same but it had a different sauce. The steaks were a little too charred but the sauces on each made up for them. We also had truffle fries and asparagus. Both were cooked perfect. The atmosphere was nice and we had a great time. Cory is hilarious. If you want a nice meal, go here and be sure to make reservations. Also, ask for Cory. He was great!

In town for business and had a dinner with a large group. The best thing about The Capital Grille for business dinners is the ability to pull the curtain for our area and not worry about noise control for a large group. Our server was phenomenal. He took great care of us. Drinks were all good. I had the pineapple martini, highly recommend! We ordered all appetizers for the table. I didn't have any, but everyone was happy with them! I had the filet mignon for my entree. For sides we ordered them all for the table, but I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and asparagus the most. Asparagus does have a strong lemon flavor, but I liked it. The only picture I took was the dessert, which was coconut cream pie, and as the waiter said "It's stupid good!"

One of favorite places to get into for restaurant week in KC. This place never disappoints. Our server, Michael, was friendly, entertaining and charming. I started off with their signature cocktail Stoli Doli. For restaurant week, I had their wedge salad, 8oz filet serve with mashed potatoes and cream spinach (family style) and cheesecake. The steak was cooked to perfection. This is mid January so inside and out was still very holiday decorated. Highly recommend coming here whenever you have a chance.

As always, Capital Grille is the spot to start any weekend with great cocktails, delicious bites and seeing everyone you know. We enjoyed Stoli Doli's and The Bohemian, Lamb Lollipops and Bluepoint Oysters. Food took a little longer than usual but was worth the wait. Craving those Lamb Lollipops already!

Great food Great service Took a group of 12 that cost $2500 and worth it. The drinks were only average but food was superb. Across the street from the historic KC Plaza Hotel

Got to try the wagyu and wine deal for dinner on a Friday! Came in for a drink before, their martini is pricey, but delicious! My friends ordered the caviar dip - it is light on the caviar and heavy on the dip. My burger was good, but the wine was the star! It is definitely worth the price, as the glass of wine on its own is $28! Service was great!

Food. 9/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 9/10. Great place for an anniversary/special occasion. Service was very good, all kind employees.

Benjamin is a treasure. He took great care of us. He gives the impression that the only reason that he came to work today is because he knew that we were coming. The veal chops are to die for and the ribeye was spot on. The room was relatively full for a Thursday night, but tit still had an intimate feeling. Unfortunately, 5 stars are the most that I can give.

This is the second Capital Grille I've dined at. The first was in Ft. Worth, Texas. They are consistent. Delicious. Had the tomahawk pork chop with mushroom sauce. The chop was huge, as big as my head. Cooked perfectly. The sauce was the star. Service was attentive and entertaining, both. My server looked like Stanley Tucci. Asked him how many times he's been told that. His reply, "Everyday." LOL!

Came for Thanksgiving dinner. The worse I've ever had! RSVP was at 4:45, food wasn't served until after six. Food was cool to Luke warm and 3 of us sent it back. Second go around wasn't much better. Service was below par also. No flavor in the potatoes, gravy, green beans or turkey. Waste of money!!

Within the last 3-4 years, we've been to this location 3 times. The last 2 times, the service and the food was not good (Steaks undercooked or overcooked). We let management know and they offered me a gift card for compensation. We decided to try it out again for restaurant week. We went last night and they placed us in a quieter room with a beautiful view of the Intercontinential. The service was ok. We had to ask for certain items such as more bread and it was never brought. The waitress brought us champagne at the end after we finished our dessert which was a little weird. We usually have this waiting at the table when we arrive. The food itself was ok at best. The creamed spinach was not good. The mashed potatoes were great. Definitely not worth paying full price. Valet also charges here whereas they do not charge at Eddie V or Ocean Prime. Unfortunately the quality and price you pay is still not worth it for us. We will continue to dine elsewhere.

If you want a great steak in the plaza and want an experience then come to capital grille. The lobster Mac is probably better than any in the city! Service is fantastic and extremely polite.

Restaurant week gave me another reason to visit here. As always exceptional service, top tier steak & such a memorable meal overall.

This has always been on of our favorite steak houses, and it did not disappoint. Especially for restaurant week, it was a tremendous deal. The cocktails are wonderful and for the entrée I ordered the bone in Kona dry aged Kansas City strip steak with the shallot butter... It was wonderful. Cooked just the way I wanted it, medium rare. I believe this is one of the best places to get a fine steak dinner in the city.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Worth the coin. In KC, sadly, we are lacking for high end steak restaurants that aren't chain. Don't let the chain moniker drive you away as a bad word. This place was great. I had the bone in strip. My wife had the filet. They were both excellent. We had the calamari for appetizer. Excellent blend of spiciness and seafood. Loved the lobster mac n cheese. A little to much for me, next time I'll just stick with creamed spinach. Our waitress could not have been better. Beautiful environment with an upscale atmosphere. There is a dress code although I hear they don't always enforce it. Everyone this night was dressed well with men wearing sports coats and slacks.

What can I say? I love the capital grille! I have been here 3 times for restaurant week, and each time has been excellent. Most recently, I came with a group of 8 friends and we had our own little private area, which was nice. Our server was super friendly and attentive. When he found out we were celebrating two engagements, he gave us all flutes of champagne! The food is delicious, of course. The bread basket with butter is always amazing. We ordered a couple of bottles of wine for the table. I ordered the salad, filet, and signature cheesecake for dessert. We alsreceived sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Overall, I would highly recommend the capital grille for a special occasion, date night, or restaurant week dinner! I look forward to coming back.

Excellent experience! Elegant location, perfect service and amazing food. You just cannot go wrong with anything you order here. The only drawback is the very dim/limited lighting so all my photos were blurry and too dark and I had to use my phone light to read the menu. All of us enjoyed the ribeyes, filets and salmon with our party of 8 the other night. If you are on the fence about ordering the lobster Mac and cheese....JUST DO IT!! Soooo amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful experience at The Capital Grille. Everything from the cocktails to the service was amazing! Our server, Jason, was extremely informative and one of the best servers I have ever had in my life! He truly made the experience with his complete knowledge of the menu, and I was extremely satisfied with his recommendations! The Kona-crusted KC Strip was phenomenal, as well as the lobster tail Jason suggested! I can't wait to come back and enjoy another evening at The Capital Grille.

Absolutely phenomenal for a date night; this is a great location to go to as a place that just made us feel like we were in for a quality evening. The ambience was fantastic and the wait staff at all levels really made us feel special. Benjamin, our sommelier and waiter, did an excellent job recommending wine and food pairings, providing us insight into the menu, and helping us with some "off menu" items that made the evening even better. They went above and beyond in providing an experience that will long be remembered. We began with a first course of appetizers in shrimp cocktails and bacon with pickled onions. Both were fantastic with large shrimp and a great bite of flavor on the pork. After this, we moved to a blue cheese wedge salad which really defied every expectation we've had. Neither of us are real fans of blue cheese, but done in this way it is made into a truly divine combination. The tomatoes worked and filled out the course. Benjamin provided us warm towels in between, and reset our table, brought out a long stem rose and some confetti material to make the evening special. We chose to go with a syrah that was divine; after trying the sample we chose to take the bottle and make it a multi-course meal as a treat. We chose to have an Oscar-type surf & turf at recommendation; crab and steak combined with asparagus and a fantastic sauce. For our other meal, we had American Wagyu beef, and the flavor was fantastic with an incredible crust and. properly seasoned. We enjoy our meet on the rare/medium rare side, and these absolutely hit the spot, perfectly cooked to the absolutely correct temperature. For sides, we had lobster mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes, both of which were exceptional, and the presentation was fantastic. We had time to eat, talk, and enjoy the environment, and then before we were ready to go, we tried some desserts. The coconut creme pie and the cheesecake. The cheesecake is different, with a creme-brulee type top, and the texture was absolutely amazing. The coconut creme pie had a rich and pleasing pie crust, combined with a cookie nature on top. Beautiful. We sat for some time afterward, and we were never rushed, giving ourselves time to make sure we had time to enjoy anything. Benjamin brought us over a quick nightcap cocktail, a great capper on the evening; as well as a cup of double espresso and pear & ginger tea. The two were a fantastic way to end the evening and the discussions were absolutely sublime. We had a great time and I truly enjoyed every minute of it; hats off to Benjamin, our guide who truly made the evening special.

Went for a friends birthday and had a horrible experience - there was water on the floor around and under our table and we asked three servers if they could clean it, no one did, I had to clean it up with my napkin and fell and bruised my entire side. Later in the evening, another guest in our party fell in the bathroom because of water and towels everywhere. Finally, one of our guests was brought the wrong meal and did not get hers until the rest of our party was done eating.

There isn't much for me to say here because even though it's been a month I'm still pretty speechless about the experience here. I expected a fine dining experience with my husband with top notch drink, food, atmosphere and dessert and I assure you this place has you leaving with high expectations for all the other places (to which they hardly measure up to). The food is amazing and the experience is one to remember. The waiter was very charismatic and knowledgeable about the menu - also I LOVE being able to see into the kitchen from the dining room. There is always something so honest about being able to look into the kitchen, cuisine is a work of art so I enjoy being a spectator from a distance at how the meals are prepared with passion here. I can not WAIT to return to this place.

I had high expectations for The Capital Grille given its reputation, but unfortunately, my experience fell short on multiple fronts. First, the service was surprisingly inattentive. Despite the restaurant being only moderately busy, it took ages for our server to greet us, and we had to flag someone down just to get water refills. The staff seemed distracted and disorganized. The food was also a letdown. My steak, which I ordered medium-rare, came out nearly well-done, and by the time a replacement was brought out, my side dishes were cold. The mac and cheese, which I've heard so much about, was overly salty and lacked any real flavor. For a 26 dollar Mac and cheese, I expected much more finesse and consistency. As that is an absurd pice for a Mac and cheese. There are plenty of steakhouses in the area that deliver better quality and service without the hefty price tag as I payed 126 dollars for a Mac and cheese and a steak.

You got some cash you want to spend? Maybe impress a client. Maybe a special occasion. Anniversary dinner. Capital Grille is your place. Just like in the movies it's a real classy joint. From the white table cloths to the little lamps they have all the details covered if a fine dining restaurant. Come for the steaks stay for the desserts. It's a class act from start to finish. The waitstaff makes everything memorable. They know the menu well and if they don't they will find the answer. Such as how do they make their chicken so moist.

Had a great meal here - again. We were three for dinner. We arrived around 6pm and were seated promptly in the main dining room at a center table. Corey our server arrived timely and was very friendly and loquacious. We all got cocktails and they were ok. It is a steak house. We all got steaks of some sort and they were all great. My wife had to send her sliced filet back for a few minutes as it came a bit to rare for her. I started with the lump crab cocktail which was wonderful. Always a top quality place for a Meal. A bit pricey but worth it we say. Mark & Nancy.

12/05/2024 I have waited since this Thanksgiving to express my experience at the Plaza location in Kansas City Mo. Everyone has different feelings this time of year and some of us like simple pleasures like going to a restaurant on a holiday and expecting a good experience as I have eaten there more than any fine restaurant in Kansas City. I arrived a few minutes early on thanksgiving as my reservation was at 5:45...I approached the reception desk and gave them my name, they were very pleasant, I also reiterated my seating preference at the bar. You see I'm alone and all I wanted this Thanksgiving was to have a dinner and not be alone and I thought seating at the bar I might blend in with all the other people at the bar. Well after speaking to the receptionist twice and the restaurant manger a few times and after an hour had passed I was still sitting by myself at a table in back of the bar alone on the view of everyone going to the restroom. This situation was extremely uncomfortable for me and left me with a bad taste in my mouth about ever returning. I was already hesitant about going out alone but not being at the bar, the waiting for a seat so I could eat and the the disappointment and actuality of little or no concern over my discomfort. And after more than an hour of the most uncomfortable and embarrassing situation you put me through I left without having a Thanksgiving, uncomfortable, hungry and very sad , to make someone feel this way on a holiday in itself is incorrigible. Great food! Very accommodating. Had a party of 20 people, made reservation the same day and we were giving a room that we could be ourselves and enjoy dinner! Service was good as well! Definitely recommend.

I am guilty once more of having gone to Capital Grille again! The food was even better the second time around! I did the same thing as last time as the lamb chops were unforgettable, but for sides (not pictured) I ordered Sam's mashed potatoes and their Soy- glazed Brussels sprouts without bacon. The Brussel sprouts were fairly large and I did have to cut them, but they were still really good to pair with my lamb chops. I highly recommend Capital Grille AGAIN especially if you are celebrating a special occasion (they make it very special) or having a simple girls night out as the food, drinks, and service are 10/10!

Wow! What an experience! This was our first time visiting and it definitely won't be our last. My husband surprised me with a lovely date night. He made the reservation online with ease. When we arrived they offer valet parking and handicap parking, so you don't have to walk far from your car to the restaurant. We were immediately greeted when we came in and seated quickly. The experience was top notch, but Lauren our waitress is really what made the entire night. She was so friendly and helpful with recommendations on everything from our drinks, appetizer, the main dish, sides and dessert! It will be hard to visit and not request that we have her. The food was all high quality, fresh, well prepared and delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance of the wine room with a semi private dining experience. We definitely could have shared the salad and sides as the portions are very generous. Our steaks were tender, well prepared and the perfect temperature. I have to recommend the Cheesecake as it's like a cloud of heaven when you take a bite. They use ricotta cheese and it really is an incredible experience for your taste buds. The espresso flourless cake was very rich and a little goes a long way. The espresso is a nice pop of flavor with the richness of the chocolate. I appreciate that they also carry a variety of options for special dietary restrictions.

My husband, mother and I went here to celebrate my birthday. The entire experience was amazing. The restaurant was clean, so were the restrooms. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. And, most importantly, the food was delectable. We all started with lobster bisque and a warm assortment of bread with sea salted butter. (Our table (reservations were made) had confetti on one side and a birthday card for me.) Then we each ordered steaks and lobster. It was perfectly cooked and the lobster was so fresh! Our water glasses never got below half full and they brought out a dessert of my choice (I chose cheesecake and it was perfect) with "happy birthday" stenciled on the plate in chocolate and a burning candle. Highly recommend. A great experience.

We were in KC, traveling from Florida, for a funeral for a few days this weekend. Many people told us that Capital Grill was one of the best restaurants in the city - "steaks are amazing!". Due to the spontaneous nature of the situation, we didn't have a reservation, but explained our predicament of not having a reservation to the hostess ... hoping that by some miracle a table was available. Patricia made it happen! She was genuinely determined to help and her determination paid off! We were seated at a fabulous table within minutes. Granted it was early, but clearly she worked hard to make it happen! Our dinner was beyond delicious and the friendly atmosphere was just what we needed. Many thanks to Capital Grill, Patricia and our waiter, whose name escapes me at this moment. I highly recommend Capital Grill to locals as well as to those traveling to Kansas City from afar!

Awesome Valentines Day dinner!!! we had a rose waiting on the table, 2 glasses of champagne on the house a delicious meal, and complimentary chocolate strawberries. Corey J was our server and was amazing-very knowledgeable and very outgoing personality! 10out of 10!

Service was very mediocre and not what one would expect from Capital Grille. Menu description wasn't what was served. Ordered a lobster tail and it was served mixed in risotto. What???? Surely I sent back. (Which was a first time ever for me) the next lobster that came out tasted as if it had been microwaved. A truly sucky birthday dinner. Save yourself time and disappointment. Go to Eddie V's or prime for a good meal. Shameful

I will start with the fact that it was literally freezing out. We were seated in a reasonable time, the seating placement was an issue. We were seated in front of what normally be an entrance from the hallway to the dining area, this lead to a handful of customers trying to enter from the hallway only to find a couple (us ) dining and all the customers turned around with an apology minus one. The bigger issue with the seating is that at least 4 waitstaff used the door leaving form or side, saying sorry - unacceptable ( they should have gone around) (2/5) The young man that served us was knowledgeable, whitty and attentive. (4/5) My wife ordered the lobster Mac & Cheese (4/5) with a side of Mushrooms, (3/5) I ordered classic burger and fries aka The Capital Grille Cheeseburger (I know) the Parmesan truffle fries were (3.5/5) while the burger was (3/5) not special in size or flavor. For 20.00 I thought there would be a wow to the flavor. For dessert we had chocolate cake which taste like a brownie just softer, but it went well with the side of icecream and the chocolate sauce in the middle was really good(4/5) Over all a 3/5 visit, would I go back......maybe to try something else and give them another shot. You really do get the ambiance and service ( minus seating). If you have never been go and make a night of it.

A little over a week ago a friend and I decided to go out for dinner. I'm not made of money so a place like Capital Grille is a special treat. I heard they had a special with wine and wagyu and I've never had wagu beef I thought it would be a really fun experience. I ordered the blue cheese truffle Burger, the caviar onion dip and the Pinot Noir. The wine was absolutely amazing. The appetizer was below average but not something I really wanted to complain about. It had been a rough day let's not pile on. It took a really really long time for our meal to come out. I took one bite of my burger and it was absolutely inevitable. I eat blue cheese burgers all the time and really enjoy them I also like things with truffle oils truffle salts Etc seems like it should be a good fit for me. I alerted one of the wait staff and they said that they would remake if for something else. I ordered a different Burger. The next Burger took absolutely forever to come out we had two managers come by and see how we're doing as well as the waiter kept saying it's almost out it's almost out I'm so sorry at a certain point it just becomes rude and annoying when it's almost out was a long time ago. My friend was done eating and we had ran out of things to talk about I'm just looking out the window filling up on fries. Eventually the new burger and a fresh basket of fries came out. At this point we've been at the restaurant for over an hour. To their credit when the second Burger came out it was absolutely amazing but I had already filled up on chips and fries and stuff because I was starving. Got the bill paid full price left a crappy tip and ended up giving away my leftovers to the panhandler right outside the front door. I don't think I'll be coming back this definitely did not brighten my day. I could have done a lot better at Shake Shack.

Drinks and dessert was our theme tonight! We had rounds of the Stoli Doli - their signature pineapple martini. Highly recommended. The creme brûlée? The best! And give your soul a hug and try their flourless chocolate cake! (Which is a great portion for two people as it is very rich!) They are enforcing social distancing to a degree, but all of their staff are masked. On a Saturday night at 9:30pm, the front waiting area was crammed with people! Not Covid friendly, but I guess that's a testament to their quality and service!
