The Capital Grille

I brought my wife over for dinner at the capital grille for her birthday , and made reservations a week prior . I did not have issues with being seated , I was greeted upon arrival . The atmosphere and setting was perfect for the occasion but definitely will recommend for dates or anniversaries , our waitress was very friendly and nice wish I would have caught her name so I could mention her . Food was delicious and was surprised by a little snack while we waited , i can really say the chef did a phenomenal job as well as the front of the house . Drinks could have been a lot better in my opinion, there was an excessive amount of ice on my wifes margarita but my new fashion was awesome .

Our recent dining experience at The Capital Grille in The Woodlands was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with exceptional care and attention, making our special occasion truly memorable. The food was absolutely amazing. We started with the pan-fried calamari, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. For our main courses, we indulged in the perfectly cooked Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter and the exquisite Kona-Crusted Dry Aged Bone-In NY Strip with Shallot Butter. Each dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. The entire staff catered to our every need with a level of attentiveness that made us feel incredibly valued. The management was very welcoming, and both managers were accommodating and warm, ensuring that our evening was flawless from start to finish. The cocktails were another highlight of the evening. We tried several of their signature cocktails, each one crafted with precision and flair. The special touches added to our meal were much appreciated and made the evening extra special. To top it all off, we were treated to delightful desserts and champagne, which provided a perfect ending to our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simply amazing. The elegant decor and ambient lighting created a perfect setting for our celebration. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to our waiter, Melkizedek, for his outstanding service and to the managers for their hospitality. We look forward to our next visit!

Started off great, everyone was friendly, but after our meal was served our waitress disappeared behind the bar making drinks for other tables. Another person asked if we were done and brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert or anything. The mojito was really good and the salad was light and refreshing. Steak had a great char and seasoned well.

I took my son today to celebrate his 8th birthday! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming! Judah felt like a celebrity with all the kind attention! Nothing was over-the-top. The feeling was sincerity and class- very warm! First, the host and hostesses were all smiles, kind words and excitement. Then the table was bedazzled with “Happy Birthday” confetti and a hand-written card!! 💕The managers came (at different times) to greet Judah and talk with him! He felt so special!! Our waitstaff were impeccable and welcoming! Dimitri greeted us warmly and got our drinks (try that mint lemonade!) while our sweet waitress, Carrie, was coming on shift! The team atmosphere was quite seamless and polished! Carrie took excellent care of us. I loved her interactions with my son, too! She even gave him great instruction on how to better cut his steak!! Which brings me to: The FOOD! 😱 I’ve never had better chicken or steak anywhere! But that beet and whipped goat cheese salad??? I could eat that every day for the rest of my life! Perfect!! There’s some magic going on with that vinaigrette!! 💘💘💘 It was love at first bite! We thought we would enjoy some sort of birthday dessert and I was curious to see what they offered for birthdays. Oh my, what an incredible surprise when the manager, Quincy, brought a chef hat for Judah to decorate and told him he was going to get to go to the kitchen and make his own dessert!!! Who DOES this??!! It made his birthday!! Check out that smile! I’m sure they couldn’t do such a thing at super busy times/ days, but the fact that they have chef hats, crayons and aprons for kids and even think of going the extra mile like this to bring joy to you as a guest??? I’m wowed!!! We had an awesome time, start to finish!! This is definitely my new favorite restaurant!! Thank you, Capital Grille!! You’re amazing and you made us happy in every way today!

Yamilet was an absolute delight! The way she kept the conversation at the table and had a genuine conversation with us as she French served us was the best part about the night! We need more genuine conversations like this!!

From the welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable service and exquisite food, everything about this location exceeded my expectations. I can’t recommend it enough and will certainly be returning!

If ya know ya know. Finally, a woodlands location. I'm from Chicago and was excited I found out they opened this location. People of Houston. Fine dining has just landed. But be prepared...this ain't your daddy's steakhouse. Bring your bank account and get ready to shovel out $$$$. It's well worth it. Tell em Todd Maverick sent ya. You're welcome

A birthday celebration lunch that was unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. Two of us had the lunch plate steak frites, and the birthday boy had the filet mignon. The food was wonderful. They decorated our table for our celebration, and they provided a birthday dessert. The flourless chocolate cake was amazing. Sam was our server, and she was flawless and ensured that every detail was perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Everything was amazing.. from the start of the valet to the hostess staff to the end of our dinner. Sierra was our server & she was very kind, warm & friendly. Knowledgeable on the menu & wines!! Lamb was sooo tasty & cooked perfectly. Dessert was brûlée cheesecake. Delicious!!! Beautiful restaurant as well.

The long list of "high end" steak restaurants in the Woodlands just got a little longer. The Capital Grille recently opened right next to its sister property the Yard House near the Woodlands mall. We came in for a late dinner and sat at the bar. The bar area was pretty empty though the bar itself was mostly full. Some familiar faces behind the bar were some former Morton's steak employees. We started with the Caesar salad and put our order in for the porcini rubbed rib eye. The complimentary bread basket looked appetizing though I wish the bread was warmed. The rolls were cold and fairly tough. The runner noticed we didn't have any drinks yet and asked if we had been offered water, which we weren't, and had to remind the bartender to get us water. Drinks were solid but the Caesar salad was just average. The lettuce looked like it was about to turn and the Parmesan croutons were a bit much when combined with the Parmesan shavings. The ribeye wasn't my favorite either. Perhaps my taste, but the porcini rub gave the steak an overly sweet, charred flavor. Furthermore, we ordered the steak medium rare and I would say it was just medium. Perhaps it's the aging process but the meat didn't have the "prime", fatty flavor I was expecting. It tasted pretty lean. Our side was the scalloped potatoes which followed suit and wasn't anything unique. Though it was topped with fried onions which added an unnecessary flavor to an already heavy dish. Dessert was the coconut cream pie which is always a solid choice, and the main reason the wifey wanted to go here for dinner. Overall it's another notch in the credit card melting steak restaurants. Nothing really stood out that would make me rush back.
