We went to Carolin Theatre for the movie GREASE sing along. As soon as we arrived we were in awe of the beauty of this theatre. It takes you back to the good ole days of live theatre shows. The architecture and layout of the building is beautiful and the theatre is grand upon entering. The tickets to this were inexpensive. They play old movies weekly during summer. This particular one had the words to the music on the screen and you could sing along to the songs. There were a lot of patrons and workers dressed I. Characters which made the experience 10x better. My 24 year old daughter had never seen GREASE and she love it! There is a private lot attached to the theatre as well as plenty of street parking. They have live events and bands throughout the year as well. It was definitely worth the ride from Winston Salem. Wish we lived closer to attend more shows here but definitely looking forward to coming more often.

Google
A charming, almost 100 year old theater in downtown Greensboro. In addition to its beautiful interior and exterior, Carolina has extremely friendly and helpful staff, plenty of public parking within a stone's throw, clean restrooms, and comfortable seats. My wife and I attended an evening performance, and I hope to visit another event here soon.

Google
The theater had an intimate, funky vibe. I very much liked it. The concert was excellent. Fiddle & Bow always puts on a good show. There was only one toilet available, and the sinks in the outer washroom did not have water. There was a sink in the bathroom stall itself. This is also not a handicap accessible venue for many people. Many, many stairs. However, there was room for people to pass as I slowly made my way up. They were very kind and polite. The elevator does not work. Hopefully, that will be repaired soon.

We saw a wonderful Celtic Christmas show. The production was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were able to meet the troop afterwards. The theater was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the staff was very welcoming and helpful finding seats and anything else you needed. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful place. Lots of history. Great funny movie!

This was my first time to this venue and I was awe struck with its beauty! I don’t even know how to explain it but see the photos!!! I saw Natalie Grant and Bernie Herms there which was an absolutely amazing, intimate time of worship. The ushers were very friendly and accommodating. The restrooms were not only clean but also beautiful. There is a concession stand that was very popular but we did not partake. There is parking out front and a parking deck close by that has free parking after 6pm. Will most definitely be back for more shows and movies here!!!!

Google
A beautiful, well maintained theater built in 1927. It lives up to its mission: Presenting Arts, Preserving History, Promoting Community. An inclusive venue that welcomes a variety of entertainment. We were fortunate enough to attend the Hopefest 4 Hunger fundraiser that featured dancers from 6 to 69 years old from all nationalities. Pictures are just a few of the groups performing

I visited during black History month while they celebrated black cinema. This was a great experience. Very well thought out and planned with documentaries of the urban areas of town as well as showing black films. The facilities were clean. Concessions were affordable with variety.

Yelp
Signed up to learn more about volunteering here and I'm happy that I did. For as long as I've been in the city, I've never been inside. It was a beautiful interior, and the facts shared were interesting. Sandra was our guide, and the house manager accompanied the group also during our visit. I learned that there is another venue located on the third floor, The Crown. The Crown can be accessed from a different entrance by following the sidewalk as you walk along the sidewalk passing the Carolina Theater doors. The other volunteer guests were of varying ages and demographics, which made for a fun time! I'm happy to know this theater is hosting a summer movie festival that may be playing some of your favorites! I've attached an image of those films. I've not viewed a movie or attended an event here yet, but will update my review accordingly, including concessions, the restroom, and more. Drop in and check it out sometimes if you're in the area! #stayconnected #nclocal

Yelp
This place is so neat that I had to deviate from my usual reviews. Loved the calm and cozy setting. The seating arrangement is close and comfortable with the stage. I managed to catch a bolero act that had a jazz opener to kick off the show. I was impressed by the stunning acoustics and sound from the place. It was such an amazing experience all around, and very intimate. I'm definitely keeping an eye for another opportunity to visit this theater again.

Yelp
Listen! If you want to see classic movies in a pillowy cushioned seat while noshing on popcorn & a soda for a reasonable price then this is your spot. At first glance the prices seem high. Hold on! Think about how much you pay at the big retail movies. Right? Exhale. The large popcorn and large soda are refillable. Owww! You do have to eat & drink fairly quickly because concessions are open all night. It's doable. Like I said they bring the classic movies like The Wiz which is saw on this particular night. I've also seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sound of Music and my all time favorite "Purple Rain". Aht! Aht! I can hear your thoughts "Wow! Talk about a wide range of movie genres". There all singing movies and I love a good musical/play. For those who know, please come out to support the Carolina Theater. It isn't all movies all the time they offer live events and you can rent out part of the theater to host events. Pro tip: if soda isn't your thing, then they offer select beers and wines (not refillable. C'mon now!) and water. Hope to see you there!

Yelp
What a venue! Beautiful inside and out with still a very much old time feel. I have been here a couple of times to see plays and have loved every one . This time was for the Wizard of Oz. To support my dear friend who was the evil witch. Which she did amazingly well . That cackling laugh!!! They have done a wonderful job keeping this place going with sponsors , donations and volunteers. The people who work here and put on the shoes work endlessly very hard. You can also see how much they love it. I had a great time at the show and everything thing about the theater was perfect. There are several parking areas around the theater and restaurants. It's a great part of downtown Greensboro. Go see a show or a concert !

Yelp
Wow Wow Wow!!! Friday night we were thoroughly entertained from our community members with the production of The Wizard of Oz. I was singing along and enjoying the wonderful memories. My hubby had never seen this so it was all new for him. He really enjoyed it! First the cast: There were over 75 cast members!!! WOW! The munchkins stole the show for me! They were my favorite. The lion was a close second with lots of laughs. Stage Settings: I was really impressed with the sets, back drops and moving parts. The coloring, design, added so much to the storyline. The OZ's backdrop looked so amazing. I know how much work goes into this. Kudos to the design team!! Costumes: Oh my, the work that went into those was worth every moment. So many costume changes with the groups and they were flawless. The tap dancing was a fun surprise. Orchestra: This was a complete surprise. Did not expect this but absolutely loved it. Way to go musicians. Theatre: The interior has an old school theatre vibe and decor. The seats are comfortable size, there are cup holders for your drink. The snack bar I'm sure is great but we did not participate this time. See pics below. The chandelier was beautiful. There really is not a bad seat in the house. This is a must to support your local thespians. Such a community builder. I'm so grateful we came. Look forward to more entertainment from the theatre

Yelp
The Carolina theater holds a special place in my heart since 2004. It's a great place to bring your family to for a GREAT show. The renovated seats are very comfortable. The popcorn at the concessions is DELICIOUS! The hot tea options were great (Bigalow). Most importantly for a large theater, the women's restroom is plentiful. I will definitely visit again.

Yelp
OMG! Amazing. I took my family to see "The Wizard of Oz" and everything about the venue was amazing. What a wonderful staff accommodating everyone at once. The space is fancy and nice and spacious. I wasn't cramped at all like when I go to Broadway in Manhattan. I'm 6'3" 240. I was blown away by everything and I'm not easily impressed. Will call went super fast and everyone was just so excited and happy and it was such an amazing family experience. I feel blessed to have been able to experience the tremendous outpouring of talent throughout the entire production. The cowardly Lion really stole the show! That man could act. Carolina Theatre is a gem of a space with wonderful balanced sound and engineering. It felt clean inside. The bathrooms were clean as well. Intermission went perfect. We were able to refill our popcorn and even grab a beer! Bought my son a glow in the dark wand thing and he loved it. He's 8 and his attention span can be challenging, but not here. The play was amazing, fun, scary happy, sad, all the above. The staff was top notch, they went above and beyond. I hope to be able to take my family back asap to see another show here. Support local theatre thespians by going here and catching a play sometime. You won't regret it. Extremely affordable as well. I'm so thankful I got to see the look on my kids face throughout the entire experience. It's something he and I will remember for the rest of our lives. My wife loved it too! Thanks Carolina Theatre for having such a wonderful staff and crew to handle the large crowd. We will be back!

Yelp
If I would let myself, this review could easily be a 10 pager! Having directed The Wizard of Oz at the Carolina Theatre for 28 years, having been the executive director of the Community Theater of Greensboro for 25 years, and being a lover of theater my whole life, I cannot think of a more perfect example of a classic Broadway style theater than the Carolina Theatre right here in Greensboro! When I attended graduate school here in the '70s, the Carolina theater was either run down or not operating, but when I returned permanently in 1989, it was on the verge of reopening with a total renovation. As I learned then, and as I know now, the driving force behind the restoration and ongoing glory of the Carolina Theatre is without a doubt, Betty Cone. This woman is fierce and has given all her heart, soul and talents to the Carolina! She has led incredible campaigns over the years to make sure the Carolina Theatre stayed sound, refurbished, upgraded and absolutely stunning! I have been going to Broadway all my life, and when I walk into the lobby and theater of the Carolina Theatre, I could swear I'm in New York in one of the best theater houses the city can offer! That's how magnificent it is! Everyone who works there is dedicated and passionate about this theater. The board works relentlessly to ensure its future and so far they have been doing a great job! The Carolina theater started as a vaudeville house, became a movie theater and is now host to concerts, theater productions, musicians, dance film, etc. The theater is located in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Although parking may get filled on site, there is plenty of parking in the parking decks and metered streets. When you walk in you will be blown away by the grandeur of the lobby. And will find your mouth salivating over the smell of the popcorn. Don't miss that popcorn. Wow! The theater itself seats approximately a thousand people and has two grand staircases that lead you up to the mezzanine. With its new renovation, there are plenty of bathrooms, even for the women! There isn't a bad seat in the house! New sounds system, plush seating, plenty of legroom, and on and on! My first big musical as director in Greensboro was a production of Annie at the Carolina Theatre in 1991 It was a huge success and I remember being handed a check for CTG for $10,000 which at that time was a lot of money! That began my love affair with the Carolina Theatre!! Great memories of that show. Over the years I've had the pleasure of directing a roster of musicals including Footloose, Mermaid and 28 years of The Wizard of Oz. I get lots of pleasure seeing young families bringing their children to the Carolina with hopes that the kids will grow up admiring this showplace and keep live entertainment and the theater itself around for generations to come. The place is plush but welcoming and warm and as a local director and performer, I am always very proud when I am part of a production that is performing at this precious jewel. Do yourselves a big favor and visit their website and go see something there ASAP. And of course, every November, make sure you round up the family and friends and come see The Wizard of Oz. I am the man behind the curtain! See you with the theater

Yelp
A night at the theater- went to support the arts by a fun production of "The Wizard of Oz". Amazing theater that has not lost it's vintage charm. Wonderful to see all ages come for a night out. The staff was great and super helpful, helped us find our seats and showed us where the bathrooms were. Lightning and stage production crew worked hard to put on a great show. The cast ranged all ages and was incredible to see the younger children know their lines and choreography. Very cute! We loved the main cast and had plenty of laughs. Loved the intermission time where the cast came out to sell candy grams and wands to support the show. Had a wonderful night and enjoyed the spirit of live theater. Would recommend upcoming productions coming to the theater-such as "the color purple" and "into the woods". Bravo !

Yelp
We loved the Carolina Theater in Greensboro. It is located in the heart of downtown but there is plenty of parking if you do a bit of research beforehand. We were able to get a parking spot on the same block as the theatre. The theatre is surrounded by restaurants, etc., all within walking distance as well. It is beautiful and clean inside. During the show we saw, they had drink stations both downstairs and upstairs. The bathrooms upstairs were a blast from the past - modern plumbing obviously but with vanities and chairs to rest and touch up your makeup. The seats were comfortable and the docents were very pleasant. The acoustics were fabulous as well. It's absolutely beautiful inside. They've done a wonderful job of keeping it up all these years. I cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
This is my first time at the Carolina Theater and I came to see the Wizard of Oz. We quickly obtained our tickets at the box office and were greeted by friendly staff that also hold and open the door for you as you walk in. It's very clean and the seats were comfortable, floors were clean. I also noticed the theater had an overall fresh and clean order. The stage lighting was excellent and once the show started, it was just very vibrant and easy to see the stage. The sound was also good and I was able to hear the voices of the actors clearly.

Yelp
Old fashioned and classic, I love the vintage feel and the decorations. The overall atmosphere was nice too, it's nice to see people enjoying their lives with their family and friends on weekends, it was a great experience.

Yelp
To be honest, I've seen the all-Black opera "Carmen Jones" before... still, when I saw a Facebook ad saying that it would be playing on the big screen inside this historical theater house I jumped at the chance to purchase tickets online and make plans to attend JUST so I could see the Carolina Theatre's grand interior, in-person! I mean, the photos speak for themselves yet it's the welcoming staff and undeniable acoustics a true theatre-goer must experience within this Greensboro, North Carolina landmark! Being a bonafide theater buff for several years, I absolutely recommend catching a live concert, movie-screening or dramatic performance here as soon as you possibly can! The opulent nostalgia, alone, will draw you back for return visits and patronage!
google avatar

Yelp
It's a great small venue in downtown Greensboro. It has a historic look and feel, but the seats are comfy, concessions and ticket prices are reasonable, and they often show some of my favorite old movies. Parking can be challenging depending on other downtown activities.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic venue. Shrek was put on by a bunch of local amateur actors and they did a fantastic job. The person playing Fiona was sick and they had a stand-in that was not an understudy but she did an amazing job. The cool thing about seeing something at the Carolina theater is a box of popcorn and a 20 oz drink we're only $6. You can't even get a drink at the theater for $6. I love supporting local theater and this production did a great job.

Yelp
What a treasure we have here in Greensboro! Besides reasonably priced concerts, we have, thanks to many kind donors and philanthropists, a restored 1920's movie house and theater! Featuring a stereophonic pipe organ (with a modern keyboard console that allows recording of notes and lever actions for future replay), this theater show silent movies (and "talkies" too)! We saw Harold Lloyd's masterpiece, "Safety Last," accompanied by a fantastic score played on the organ. Concessions are fresh, reasonably priced and the theater offers teacher and student pricing. I strongly recommend seeing a movie or live performance!

Yelp
Great venue. All the seats are excellent. Prices for drinks are slightly higher than they should be. Overall, an awesome venue. I'll definitely be purchasing tickets in the future.

Yelp
Saw The Mavericks this past February. Fabulous venue, great sound, courteous staff and just very intimate. Plenty of street parking and lots of choices to go eat before a show. Look forward to going back.

Yelp
I am so glad this place has opened back up! We went last night to their 2nd showing since COVID smacked us all down, and it was great! I ordered my tix online and picked them up at the box office. Staff had them right on hand and we were inside within 1 minute of our arrival. Because of COVID restrictions, there are now tables set up in the vestibule where you will now need to sign a waiver claiming you've had no COVID symptoms in the last 14 days, or been around anyone who has. Next, someone will take your temperature and you'll move on to the main lobby where another staff member will scan your tix. (This is new for them, so be patient.) Thankfully, concessions were still open because what's a movie without popcorn !? The staff was masked for our protection and the place was clean and sanitized. That beautiful, crimson carpet was spotless as was the whole of the auditorium. I definitely recommend this place for your viewing pleasure!

Yelp
This review is for the small Crown Theater upstairs. We saw "Working" in August and it was an enjoyable show. The venue is small, intimate. Our seats were right up front (I bought them super early). But they were so upfront as to be just slightly awkward. The whole seating area, imho should have been back a bit. They had all of us crammed up close right next to the small stage. Instead we could have been spread out a bit, and there could have been a little room between us and the stage. That being said, we loved the small intimacy of it. Entrance is around the side of the building and drink and food choices were very limited downstairs. It would make this venue extra special should they do drink service.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've seen a show here but I am convinced now that there is not really a bad seat in the house. This visit was a last minute decision to come see the Forever Mowtown show so I purchased a seat in the balcony. My view is really good and the sound quality was good. The only setback as with most concert halls is not enough bathrooms for women. Guess they can't help that though. Can't wait for another great show here.
google avatar

Jim K.

Yelp
We reserved the Crown Room for our high school reunion and it was a huge hit! The Crown Room is very unique as it is pretty much an unfinished area which lends an edgy urban feel. We decorated the space a little and with the highly controllable lighting, the space was amazing. The Crown Room hosts music events periodically. A great space to consider for your event.

Yelp
A cold rainy night could not keep us away from seeing the Wizard Of Oz. What a great performance on the 25 anniversary of the show being performed at the Carolina Theatre. Plus, it's a great show to help support the theatre and give young talent a chance to perform on a big stage. The singing was phenomenal by all and especially by Dorthy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Lion. Nothing like up close small theatre plays and the architecture of the inside building very nicely done.
google avatar

Abry O.

Yelp
I had such a good time last night at the 2 Guys Name Chris Comedy All Stars show! I thought this was a great place to hold this type of an event especially with how many people were there! The bathrooms were clean and stocked with TP, the concession stand was quick and fairly cheap for what I wanted - popcorn and drink was only $5! Can't wait for the next show

Yelp
Being a transplant from MN, we heard the OZ performance at the Carolina Theatre was good. This was the 23rd year for this particular production. We went to the last performance of the season (November 19th @ 2pm). We sat down in the front and center (Section OC, Row C, Seats 106 & 107). To my understanding, all the cast members were local talent. Friends and family spend countless hours behind the scenes helping with props and anything else needed. Even though many of these performers were amateurs, I never thought any one of them missed a beat! The show was genuinely entertaining! I smiled, I laughed, I felt real emotion as these young talents took me down the Yellow Brick Road! I wholeheartedly recommend you order your tickets for next year as soon as you can and enjoy this performance! ENJOY THE SHOW - we did!!!!! Most Sincerely!!!

Yelp
Lovely older theater (they are celebrating their 90th anniversary). The theater itself is beautiful, intimate, and just overall a great place to see shows. The lobby and box office evoke a sort of nostalgia. The seats, flooring and sound system could all use an upgrade, but the host said that they are working on $2.5M renovation that will take care of all of these issues and should be completed next summer!
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
As someone who loves old theaters, I've been wanting to visit here for a long time. I finally hiked over from Durham for a really great performance by 1964 - The Tribute! Built in 1927, this place is a beautiful inside and out. Lovely architecture from the lobby to the theater itself with marble columns and classical statues. Thank goodness it was saved from demolition many years ago! It is very well kept and the employees are super friendly and helpful. They have a great list of live acts, plays, regularly runs a wonderful selection of old films, and the theater can even be rented. They even offer tours of the theater, which I'd love to do!
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
The most beautiful, historic theatre in downtown Greensboro (opened on Halloween night in 1927). I've been volunteering here for a few years, and the Carolina Theatre is truly a theatre for all ages. They bring in such a nice variety of performances, and the guests (and volunteers) are so kind and excited to be there. Right now with COVID, the Carolina Theatre is struggling. They are offering movies and some very small scale concerts for those who are comfortable, and I've volunteered for several movies in the past few weeks - it is very safe, so come on out to support this beautiful theatre!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Opened in 1927, the Carolina Theatre is a throwback to days gone by! Still today, you can see the past grandeur this theatre once had, and you're able to imagine the elegance she presented to patrons in the early days of opening! In need of repairs today, she still evokes a sense of grander times when people probably attended events dressed in their best attire! Here's to the city of Greensboro in hopes that they don't let a treasure such as this fade into the night!
google avatar

Mr. K.

Yelp
This place is just beautiful, I'm impressed with it and with Greensboro for having a place like this. Old world elegance and style on display, the renovations are lovely. That they also put on fun movies and in general, a great selection of entertainment, is also impressive, it's the type of place one must remain aware of, there's always something interesting there or coming soon. Of course, the nerd sitting behind us who'd memorized the script of MP & The Holy Grail and who thought we'd all be impressed by hearing him talk over the movie deserves to be strung up, you'd think a nerd would know better.....but it's 2018, the theatre can recreate the style but alas, good manners are harder to bring back. I look forward to visiting again, idiots notwithstanding.

Yelp
An old theater. That is what this place is. While the appeal of it can strike a feeling of nostalgia for a simpler time, the venue is not without issue. For starters, the acoustics are terrible and the sound system is paltry and lacking at best. My home movie theater has better sound. This is not the place to come to watch movies. A modest home theater would be a better option to watch Jaws on blu-ray. However, if you are seeking the nostalgia and experience of watching a movie in an old theater, this is just the place for you. The men's room looks old and tired as does most of the theater area. One thing, I did like was that the seats reclined a bit when you sat in them, presumably to not block the view of the person behind you. A great idea and throwback to when people had to do more with less. Let's face it though, one does not come here to watch a movie per say, one comes for an event such as a musical performance or theatrical production. I could easily see an opera being done here. With that in mind, the venue is not all bad. I could easily overlook the rundown restroom All in all, I enjoyed my event and would return if there was something of interest happening that I wanted to see...otherwise, I would look for another venue. I certainly hope that the others who have reviewed this venue are not giving such good ratings because of the nostalgia this place conjures up. While I can appreciate that, I do not think the venue warrants such a high rating.

Yelp
Imagine Travel has been a sponsor for the Carolina Theatre for 2 years now and its the best decision we've ever made. This theatre does so much for the community and really brings everybody together in a classic, warm and fun environment. It looks like a mini Radio City Music hall inside, deep comfy seats, fantastic sound (the organ is rockin) and great picture quality! The Christmas movies here are a MUST SEE to get you in the Spirit each year. And the summer movie series and live performances are awesome too. Cheers to you Carolina Theatre and Happy New Year!

Yelp
Great venue to come experience live music shows! I've personally enjoyed 2 shows of The Beatles. Both have been great shows at a reasonable ticket price. Please keep bringing The Beatles more often :) Gracias!

Yelp
A beautiful historical building. The Idiot Box Comedy Club, performed here tonight. This beautiful building is the site of many community events.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful theatre. Mother and I went to a matinee showing of Gone WIth The Wind in 2017. Awesome. Really worth the experience. If you are from out of town, know that this is actually in downtown Greensboro so driving was tricky for me. I found a public parking lot nearby and it was an easy walk to the theatre. The matinee let out during rush hour and there are apparently no left turns allowed during that time, which confused the phone's navigation and we got an interesting tour of the city.

Yelp
Great old theater that offers a wide variety programs for all ages and tastes. Had a great experience. The place is friendly and has easy access and parking

Yelp
Went to a wedding held here back in July. Can I just say, this place is beautiful. It's an aweseom place to have a wedding and reception. It's not only historic, ornate and beautiful, it's also well situated in downtown Greensboro. Acoutsics are awesome and there is more than enough room for dancing upstairs and in the lobby area. Just be advised -- if you are having an event here set up and clean up are on you.

Yelp
We love the Christmas movie series and the quote-along summer series. Some things are just meant to be comunally enjoyed, like White Christmas and Princess Bride. For sing-along Sound of Music, we got our photo taken with Re (a drop of golden sun) and her friend Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String. It's a beautiful, old school, gilded and chandeliered theater, and for some of the performances, they even have organist Ron Biddle playing beforehand. I've never gotten used to Jingle Bell Rock and All I Want for Christmas on organ, but the music gives Carolina Theater a wonderful atmosphere.

Yelp
I love to go to Carolina Theatre! A group of girlfriends and I went to see the Hitchcock classic "Dial M for Murder." It was great! This was my first opportunity to see one of his films on the big screen and it does make a difference with an audience! There was lots of laughter and fun! Granted they served wine and beer, but whatever....it was cool. Now, the place is beautiful and transports you back to the days of real velvet curtains, and big chandeliers. It isn't pristine or perfect but the chairs are comfy and the service is top notch-it is all about having a great experience. I was chatting with my friends afterwards and Mr. Holliday, President and CEO of Carolina Theatre came out to check on us and make sure everything was alright. He also told us of some great upcoming plans including a Rocky Horror Picture Night! I'm looking forward to dressing up for the Sixteen Candles flick myself. At $5 a pop you can't beat that kind of night out on the town! PS-they show kids movies too!

Yelp
Beautiful theatre, attended Adam Ant concert on a weeknight and had a great experience. Parking was easy with a free garage just a few steps away, and lots of options for food/drinks also within a couple of blocks. It was easy getting in and out of the theatre itself, the sound was good, seats comfortable. I definitely will watch for other events of interest at this venue.

Yelp
I'm a fan, but absolute HATE the cold temperatures inside, especially in the Crown Theatre upstairs. The place is absolutely frigid and I would encourage patrons to wear a winter coat. I've asked the management repeatedly to jack it up a bit, but it happens again every time I visit. Shame because the place is grand and their entertainment is first rate.

Yelp
Couldn't get a refund for cancelled show that was for my daughter's Christmas present. Maybe should be more clear on raincheck policy on your website because apparently you can't get a refund for a cancelled show. Now we are out of $124 dollars.

Yelp
I would have given you a better rating but the only problem I have with the format of the Theatre is that the films are shown very frequently on Wednesday or Sunday nights. I'm always in church on those nights. I'm a huge fan of Hitchcock, especially a Cary Grant film. I would just love to see, "The Bishop's Wife" on the big screen!! My thoughts. Oh, well! I really love being in the Carolina Theatre. My parents went there on their first date in 1939. They saw, "Gone With The Wind." Keep up the good work! It's a fabulous place! God Bless You All!!

Yelp
I've been to the Carolina Theatre many times. I've seen Bela Fleck, Annie DiFranco, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, and never been disappointed. The theater has yesteryear's charm and great acoustics. Matter where you sit in the audience it feels very cozy. It's a great local venue for a very personal experience with great music.

Yelp
Went for Zombiefest, Night of the living dead! Seat were not the most comfortable but they served their purpose. It's beautiful inside and I was very fond of the sculptures... I'm sure to visit again.

Yelp
pretty rad old school theater. I enjoy that they show older classic movies sometimes, such as Jaws, Psycho, Christmas Vacation, etc!

Yelp
Classic theater with a wide variety of entertainment - movies, music, and drama - all first class. Elegant, grand 1920's interior. Local productions like Captain Hook can sell out every night, and out-of-town acts light up the stage at this independent theater. New, outstanding surround sound system turns the performing arts center into a movie theater for two film series: classic and cinamatique. As a member of the theater, I get email updates on the ever-changing programming that reflects the wide variety of talents, tastes, and interests that help make Greensboro a lively place to live.
