Really interesting menu - designed for sharing and judging by the hubbub people were having a great time doing it.
But the best thing here was the service. First a small thing - the 'maitre d' checking plates of artichoke as they went back to the kitchen, I guess to make sure they had not been left uneaten for whatever reason. Our waitress was really good at turning up when needed, explaining the menu, and chatting when time allowed.
Finally, the wine. We had a bottle of Paso Robles 'Broadside' Cabernet Sauvignon, which was really excellent - I don't often follow up wines from restaurants, but this was so distinctive I wanted to know more.
