First time here - I definitely will be back! The coffee was delicious and they had so many flavors that were actually infused - not just unhealthy syrup. I got a L iced coffee and it was a huge cup as they are accounting for ice so that was appreciated as well. I got a sausage egg and cheese on an English muffin and it was delicious - coming from an egg sandwich snob!😀. This place is worth checking out!!

Great food and service. I love trying the different weekly specials. Staff is friendly and very accommodating (I hate mayo) they always make sure my order is right, also enjoy the atmosphere cozy on a rainy day and the entire establishment is kept clean and neat anytime I visit. I you are around stop in and check it out.

First and last time going to this establishment. The 2 people on staff were friendly. That is the only reason we did not send everything back. The place was empty except for 1 person sitting at the counter. The tables and floor were filthy and there was no one in there. Must had been from the day before. The iced coffees we ordered were not good and not as advertised. We think both the people on staff were nice but did not know what they were doing. The avocado toast was on generic wheat bread was not good. It was just slices of avocado with pepper and salt just dumped on the center of it. The bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant had 1 piece of bacon, 1 egg that was burned and tasted like dirty grill. A small child could have done a better job. Not even sure if there was cheese on it. The croissant was also greasy. We left and threw out the 2nd ice coffee and we smelled like dirty grill after leaving. I would stay away don’t understand the 4.2 star average review. We wish we took a picture as it did not look as what they advertised on their site very misleading.

If you're in Braintree and need a pick-me-up, this is the spot! They rotate specials, food and drink, and all the various coffee flavors are delicious. It's got a cozy vibe with comfy couches and good music – perfect for relaxing. The staff is super friendly, and the coffee-themed decorations are perfect. It's my go-to weekend treat, sometimes I even visit twice.

Recently found this gem. Lived in Braintree for a year before I found this place not too long ago. Everything we’ve gotten has been good and all members of staff super friendly. We typically take our food to go, but the atmosphere is so cozy we may sit in at one point. Can’t wait for my next fluffer nutter iced coffee 😋

Cozy little café that my fiancé and I visit every weekend 💕 service is always top notch, and the staff are all super friendly! All the coffee and food is made from scratch, and all super delicious (I know because I’ve sampled just about everything)

Delicious home cook soup and sandwiches. I love their sausage sage and spinach soup. Mmm mmm good. Haven't tried their breakfast sandwiches yet but I will. Love stopping in for a awesome cup of coffee on my walks around town. Nice hidden gem...pop on in...you won't be disappointed!

Probably one of the most underrated coffee shops in Braintree. Vibe is great and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast is delicious and the lunch menu is full with very flavorful and full of great options but the best thing they have is the coffee. My favorite coffee is the Irish crème.

Came for a quick breakfast and coffee on a Friday morning. Street parking outside was pretty convenient but also looked like there was a parking lot behind the building as well! I got an iced vanilla latte and an egg and cheese with avocado on a bagel. The latte was a great pick me up and the breakfast sandwich absolutely hit the spot. It is a cute cafe and there were some people working there at individual tables as well as at the long table in the center. Will definitely start coming here as my regular close by coffee shop!

I came in here a few weeks ago. Had a bacon egg and cheese in a bagel and a raspberry ginger acai drink. Both items were pretty good. The raspberry drink was premade in a pitcher, so they gave that to me immediately and the sandwich followed soon after. They walked it out to me. They were playing a lot of 70s and 80s jams which is always cool by me. Only sat for a minute in the store but it was pleasant enough.

My husband and I stopped here for coffee and breakfast while visiting family. Super friendly and helpful staff, with delicious flavored beans (Gingerbread is devine this time of year). The breakfast sandwiches (bagel, egg & cheese + add ons) were delicious and substantial.

Asked for oat milk and hardly got any to even change the color of my coffee! There was no room for me to ask for oat milk, which kind of sucked. the infused bean taste was pretty good, new concept to me! The server was ok, could have been more helpful and friendly. Ambiance was cool, busy on Saturday mornings for sure

Not busy at all , no one waiting to order or pay only one other person eating at a table. Every table dirty , not one or 2 Had to wipe off a table, soggy sand. Matcha tea not stirred I guess because when I tossed it it was all on the bottom Sorry but no thanks $ 19 for a matcha made with hot water and a wrap nope never again

A cool little place for a casual cup of coffee (thus the name) and lunch. I haven't tried the food but the Cookies and Cream iced latte is good. This is such a cozy little spot that you can work from during the day. The menu looks really good too. The owner seems nice and was friendly when I chatted with her. Would definitely return!

I come here sometimes on my lunch breaks. The food is great and it's a nice place to relax, read, or do a little work. The staff is always friendly and they treat their customers very well.

Drinks were very watery. Latte tasted like drip coffee with milk but somehow thinner. It was just a sad drink that we had to wait 20 minutes for. We didn't try the food, but it looked ok. That's the two stars are for.

Very good breakfast sandwich. Bacon, provolone and egg on an Asiago cheese bagel. Good coffee. Solid choice for breakfast. (I stopped going across the street to Ashley's when I was presented with a bill including a service charge for using a card--I was paying with cash.) Coming to the Casual Cup from now on.

This place is hands down the coolest, coziest place to get a coffee or a sandwich! I come often and I swear your whole mood changes when you walk in the door. I suggest if you have time to sit and relax in their wicked comfy chairs while you sip your coffee which is really really good! The breakfast sandwiches are so so good! I haven't had a lunch sandwich yet but their sandwich board looks amazing! I promise you'll like it here

Worst place ever their coffee was burnt and so watery, egg sandwich was gross the bread tasted stale the owner looked like she was up all-night and run down while cooking, overall horrible feel for Braintree.

This place is probably great for a snickerdoodle Reece's cup pumpkin spice vanilla bean syrup iced latte. Not really the place where you should expect them to make a traditional drink properly. I was also impartial to the decor and all the blue lives matter flags. The ladies behind the counter were not particularly inviting, service was fine

Went recently for first time, the staff/owner are so nice and respectful. Great list of strong home brewed coffee flavors, and be sure to try one of the made from scratch bagels. Great indoor casual setting

Immediately fell in love with this place as soon as I ordered! The workers were beyond friendly and made me feel welcomed right away. I struggled a bit to decide what to order but they were patient the entire time and gave their recommendations. The place itself is cozy as well. Plenty of seating, couches, and the walls are decorated with nice art and photos. Felt very clean being in there and it wasn't too loud so I'm sure it'd be a nice spot to get some work done. I will say that my BLT took a while to come but I didn't really mind once I actually ate it. I don't know what it was about it but man it was a good BLT. I assume that it took awhile because they were making everything right on the spot so the sandwich was super fresh and crunchy. Came with a pickle and chips too! I got the hazelnut coffee with it and it was delicious. Not too sweet, not too bitter and the price for that big of a size is so worth. Will definitely be back!!

Super cute. I went to catch up with a friend and there were plenty of different kinds of seating. I think it would be a good place to do some work as well. Good coffee and food as well ( I had an egg sandwich on a croissant).

I've been a regular customer here for a couple of years, but today they lost my business. They charged me more than listed on the menu, and when I asked about it, said "those prices need to be updated". If you need to change your prices, that's totally fine, but don't charge the new prices before posting them. EDIT IN RESPONSE: I have no issues with sales tax, of course, but that's not what your employees said was going on. Thanks for reviewing the pricing accuracy!

I am obsessed with their onion bagel with egg and cheese, their bagels are so soft and it's just perfect!! I also got their hot brownie toffee crunch coffee and it was delicious!

Stopped in here this weekend, owner was very nice. However, the iced coffee tasted like what you'd find at a gas station. And my partner had 3 hairs in her sandwich. If you're stopping here for iced coffee or food, I would hard pass.

I found this place a couple months ago and the first couple times we tried it was incredible! Sandwiches , coffee everything. The last two times it has been horrible, the sandwiches were fine but the coffees were disgusting. This last time, I ordered a Jamaican me crazy with extra caramel drizzle and it tasted like dirty water mixed with oil. No coffee flavor not even caramel, just plain nasty. And I am not exaggerating. I'm not one to return food or make a complaint, so I literally just had to toss it and come home and make myself coffee. Incredibly disappointed as I basically wasted my money.

The drink I got was an unbelievable disappointment. I got a hot dirty chai latte and it was shocking how unflavorful it was. It smelled great, but it tasted like hot water. I've never tried their coffees so maybe those are better, but save yourself the trouble and don't get any chai from this place. I'm disappointed how I wasted my money there.

Located right in Braintree center, The Casual Cup (Kudos to the name) is the best cafe to work, drink coffee (duh), eat some yummy breakfast (Avocado Toast and Smoothies). Stopped in here to get some work done, and did not need my earbuds to listen to music because they play some really cool throwbacks, (think Michael Jackson, 80s, 90s). Not overcrowded, so I could really hear myself think!!! Also, 2 hour street parking. And, the owner is also the bomb too! Extremely nice and energetic; she made sure that what I was ordering I was going to like. Ask any questions, and she's your girl.

One of the only places where you can get Buffalo cream cheese! The breakfast sandwiches are great, a lots of cream cheese options too. Service is always amazing! Great place to spend the day doing homework or other work.

Unbelievable food and service! The owner of the shop was in at the same time I was, and was so attentive and interactive. I had an amazing time there for the short time that I was, and can not wait to return. Their coffee flavors are brewed straight from the bean and Amy (the owner) was so excited to explain to me what was used in the process of making mine. I am currently a marine science major, so the recycle bins posted around the restaurant brought me lots of joy! I'll be bringing my own coffee container to receive the discount next time hahaha Great coffee, food, and wonderful vibes can not wait to return!

Here on opening day, seems like it will be a nice spot. Staff is very friendly, greeted right upon entry. They need better signage with prices listed. But I got a medium tea and a breakfast sandwich for $5. The sandwich was delicious, and the tea is meh standard. My only complaint is that they need a non coffee selection. I don't drink coffee and was disappointed to see they only had Lipton tea bags and 5-6 boxed herbal tea varieties. I really hope they explore things like chai tea, Thai iced teas, etc or I won't have much of a reason to come back. All in all, I hope to see them grow their offerings for customers. The are on pace to be a great addition to the area.

On April 25, 22 I discovered this lovely coffee shop on 911 Washington St, Braintree, MA . Its become the Comfy Cozy coffee shop I've grown to love in 3 short days and will be my forever coffee shop. Unassuming with excellent coffee (Downeast brand out of RI) and breakfast sandwiches. (they have a lunch menu as well). I can sit relax in comfort and read while having my breakfast. The interior design is a warm welcome and pleasantly states chillax awhile no one is rushing you. On a Main Street, but once inside I feel right at home. Love the big oversized brown sofa against the back wall. So nice to have found this spot.

If you're going to be a coffee shop, you need to have coffee. I went today and was told that I had to order decaf, coconut, or s'mores flavor because they had run out of regular beans. Seriously? I don't drink decaf, because caffeine a feature, not a bug. And both coconut and s'mores are gross, but coconut is grosser so I took the saccharine s'more-flavor (because I was meeting someone and this was their choice of place and couldn't go elsewhere.) The set up of the cafe was fine and comfortable, not too crowded or noisy. I wasn't there for food so I can't say one way or the other on that. I may go again and give it another shot and revise my review accordingly, but this time my experience was only mediocre.

This is an awesome coffee shop!! This is more than "just a coffee shop." It's a breakfast and lunch spot. It's a community gathering spot. It's a great place to meetup with friends and to make new friends!! Amy and Anthony are friendly and hospitable. Amy knows my dad, one of my friends (my study buddy as this is where we meet as my buddy loves it more than I do), and myself by name. It's a great feeling!! Recently tried a smoothie for the first time. Went with Amy's recommendation rather than my usual "first time go to" of strawberry and banana and it was delish; I'm a fan! FYI, I have been in here over 1/2 dozen times now since it opened and will be back again and again and again and .. well, you get the picture.

Very cute and cozy coffeeshop and a great addition to Braintree. I had the ghost pepper flavored coffee (called fireball), just a hint of spice, interesting and delicious. Would highly recommend this place. I like that the flavor coffees are roasted and not made with syrup. No added sugar, the lady at the front also told me she uses a farm honey in some of the roasts, very nice. Will be coming back! I think they should get new cups though, they are generic gas truck cups with no logos.

This place is exactly what I was looking for when I moved to Braintree . They have Several alternative milks like Oat and make a great cappuccino. Breakfast sandwiches are to die for with options like Asiago bagels and Provolone cheeses and fantastic Bacon. Big leather couches and lots of comfy seating. Beautiful decor. The staff is great particularly Amy the owner who made us feel right at home. This is my go to place now.!

Great customer service!!! Owner and all staff very friendly and accommodating. Don't live in the neighborhood anymore but always make a point to stop in and grab a coffee when in the area.

I really wanted to like this place and support a local small business. I have held off on reviewing it because I feel bad giving a small business a bad review. But I've tried four times & each time I was disappointed. The first time I tried a salad with grilled chicken. I brought it home and actually weighed the chicken because I was dieting. It was 2 ounces. For the 10.95 that I was charged I expect a little bit more. The second time I went I got an iced coffee. I had to wait quite a while for my order and when I tried the coffee it tasted watery. I left and went to Starbucks. The third time I tried a tuna sandwich. It was mediocre it tasted very basic- tuna on bread. I love açaí bowls & was driving by and saw a sign for them So I thought I would give it one last try. I get açai bowls often at other places so I know what I should've received. I got it to go & was surprised when I opened the bowl. First it was smaller in size than anywhere else I've got them. Second it was purple liquid with a small amount of fruit & a spoonful of peanut butter floating in it. Every time I've ordered an açai bowl it comes with frozen açai on the bottom and whatever you want on the top. For $12.95 (which is more than the ones in downtown Boston) I expected more. The atmosphere is cute. The service is not great (teens who don't seem fully trained). I don't mind spending a lot on food if it's good & enjoyable but I feel the prices are high for what you get. I would love a local cafe I could meet friends at for coffee but unfortunately this isn't it. Pic - Left is what I got & Right is what a real açaí bowl looks like everywhere else.

A++ great customer service and sooo many coffee flavors. I recommend the Jamacian me crazy or the white chocolate chip I had them both black. You will not need anything in it. It's still taste amazing. The wraps are amazing too and such a nice vibe inside. The furniture, the decor. It was great overall.

The name definitely captures the ambience of the shop but the coffee is anything but casual. They have so many options of flavors that it makes you want to come back over and over again is you try them all. Make sure to bring cash or spend more than $5 to use a card. I will definitely be back to try more flavors!

I came here as I needed a place to kill some time. The space is a lot larger than expected. It has a mix of tables and couches. There are tons of magazines and board games. I found it to be very clean and cozy. The service was fantastic. Everyone was smiling and friendly. I got the Mocha Cinnamon Swirl and found it to be delicious. I would recommend this coffee place!

Very nice place! Very Clean, decor is nice and cozy, large place, too. The owner is very friendly and will bend over backwards for you. I hate the snooty "I am so hip and you're not" coffee houses. This is the complete opposite! I feel welcomed here. And I like that it is not a giant chain. My money is staying in Braintree (not building a $38 million mansion for some overpaid CEO.) Oh and the food and drink? Absolutely wonderful. I never had a bad experience coming here. Everything I ever ordered was top notch delicious. I love going there.

I'd never been and I went here today to meet up with an old friend from college as it was a good half way point between where we live. Staff was extremely friendly, and the woman who appeared to be the manager or owner was warm and checked on how we liked everything. She also seemed to really care about her employees who were also all lovely. I had their s'mores coffee- delicious! Very clean place. Will def come back next time I'm In the area.

Went in at 7 am to hear the song "Blame it on the Alcohol" at full blast. They were out of espresso beans so couldn't make a latte. Really want this place to be successful but was not impressed. I'll try again - but please put on softer, smoother music in the am.

I am a long-time resident of Braintree, and I was so happy to see an independent coffee shop come into the town! While there are always kinks to be worked out with a brand new shop, I think the Casual Cup has really gotten itself off the ground and running well since its opening. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich with avocado and I enjoyed my regular iced coffee tremendously - the coffee wasn't bitter, tasted great. The inside is cute, with great wifi. Definitely a good place to come and do work if you need to. Would recommend giving it a try!

I decided to try this cute new spot that opened just down the street from me. They have an adorable spot for kids with a little table. I also noticed they had some games for adults which is great. Coffee was just ok for me, but I'm a very picky coffee person. There are alternative milk options which is great. The sandwiches were fabulous!! No idea where those croissants come from but they are delightful. Get your sandwich on a croissant.. you will not regret it. Apparently they have some lunch options but I haven't tried those. Overall I would like give them another try.

After visiting the great indoor Farmer's Market at Braintree Town Hall, my friend and I took a walk to find a bite to eat and hopefully a good cup of coffee. What a pleasant surprise to happen upon this great little coffee shop in the heart of S. Braintree Square. Casual Cup is just that, casual yet with a tasty and varied menu to suit all tastes and an inviting, welcoming interior. The food is fresh, organic, tasty as is their freshly ground coffee. We both enjoyed our variations on egg sandwiches, nicely prepared on an English muffin and an everything bagel respectively. Service is friendly and the meals were delivered to our table by their very accommodating wait staff. As my friend and I lingered over our coffees, the owner came over to ask how we enjoyed our meals and offered to refill our cups. We assured her everything was great and we would be back again soon to try some of their lunch items. A delightful experience in a community that has SO much to offer. Glad the Casual Cup is among them.

Started my day with a delicious cinnamon-y mocha-y iced coffee at the Casual Cup. I love how to flavor is brewed into the beans. Plenty of street parking and great service with a smile. Wonderful addition to Braintree Square.
