We have been here a few times. My husband enjoys the restaurant and he loves fried catfish. I am not a deep fried food person, so I didn't care. I tried the Gumbo before. It didn't leave me wanting to order that again. If I have made my review then, it would have been probably just 3 because my husband loves it and I don't. He wanted to eat there today and today's visit have improved my rating for you. My husband ordered the Fried Basket of Catchfish (served with catch fries and hush puppies)($8.99) and I ordered the Boiled Favorite of 1/2 lb Boiled Shrimp (served with corn and potatoes)($11.99). We both enjoyed the food today. The staff was friendly. The service was good. Nice location on Depot. Restaurant is clean. Will come again and try another Boiled Favorite!

I enjoyed the Captains Platter.. Catfish, Shrimp, Boudan Balls, Hush puppies and Seasoned Fries. I always have to get a to go plate because of so much food. Catfish is cooked and seasoned perfectly for my southern palate! I typically avoid fries but these are just delish I am ashamed to say. 😊. Oh and that MAGIC SAUCE!!! WOW.

Google
Found this spot while spending alot of time at a nearby hospital with a family member. The food was very good, we had a catfish combo and a fried shrimp poboy. Both were excellent and I would recommend those dishes. The service was good as well.

Google
Everyone that helped us was very nice. The bartender Cassidy went over and above. Very nice and friendly young woman. Keep her around.. food was good. Had Gator for the first time. That was different. Better than I expected. We will come back to try other things on the menu.

This restaurant is awesome! I love their gator and catfish. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. The service was fast and the food was hot and fresh. We will definitely be going back again.

Google
Walk in and the inside was spacious and clean. I went up to order and was helped by a nice young lady. To start I ordered a cup of étouffée. This hit the spot on a cold day and had excellent flavor and spiciness. Next was a fish basket with hush puppies and fries. This came with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Everything was delicious, I especially enjoyed the hush puppies. I took my time enjoying the food and decided to get banana pudding to end the meal. All the food here made my belly happy and did not disappoint.

Yelp
Excellent food great service and budget friendly. The shrimp boil with Cajun spice was the best I have eaten in a long. The atmosphere is fun and lively.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday evening just before sunset. The place was empty. No one greeted us or spoke to us so we grabbed our own menus and also a booth. They have a feast menu at the ordering counter that's not on the regular menu so once we had figured out what we wanted and walked up to the register, we saw that and changed our minds. We ended up getting a catfish, shrimp and chicken tender feast for $55. It fed six of us. The food was pretty decent. I can't complain. I would've given a higher rating if the service had been better. We didn't get our drink cups waitress was a little bit aloof. I get it because they have young people in there and sometimes the work ethic is just not there yet. In my opinion, that's all they really need to work on at this location.

Yelp
We had a large group go to The Catch to celebrate a couple of birthdays. They were very accommodating and helpful. The food was good, and amongst our group of 15, we ordered a bit of everything. I had a platter than included catfish, fried shrimp and boudin balls. The catfish was my favorite; it was really tasty with the Cajun tartar sauce. The hushpuppies were very good as well. I would be happy to return here again.

Yelp
The Catch in Midwest City, Oklahoma, off Air Depot Blvd, offers a delightful dining experience with a focus on fresh seafood in a casual yet vibrant atmosphere. The ambiance typically reflects a coastal vibe, with nautical-inspired decor and a laid-back feel. The restaurant's commitment to quality seafood shines through in both its menu offerings and its inviting ambiance. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, The Catch provides a welcoming environment for seafood lovers in Midwest City. Terrific service. If you are a fan of seafood, this place offers the best!

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Everything about eating here is just a wonderful experience try the gumbo. Tastes like it was made by someone's grandma in Louisiana!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was AMAZING!!! It was clean, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. My catfish po boy was so good! The bread was soft, moist, and fried to perfection. The sweet tea was sooo good. I also loved the hidden bar area they have.
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
Ok.... Coulda sworn they had salmon on one of the menus we saw and it didn't but they had everything else... soo I nabbed a shrimp po boy and we'll the shrimp was solid. Cooked just right and pretty darn tasty. The bread wasn't too shabby but it needed some Mayo or more sauce on it. The pickle lettuce and tomato were all fresh and not days old but it was lacking just a little bit. If the fries actually had something to say this could have been a 4, but they were just eh.. I'll stop by and try something again but it was just ok.

Yelp
Got the Catchfish. It was swai. Fries and hush puppies were fine. I will never go back.

Yelp
Came by this spot while visiting OKC for a conference. The food was ok but the experience was made by Leah! She was attentive to the detail and made sure the things that needed corrected were corrected. She was top notch!

Diane N.

Yelp
Customer service was the worst! Just needed 2 meals exactly the same & they just couldn't seem to understand. Catfish, ff & mac & cheese. They were not even busy. Very disappointed

Daemon S.

Yelp
Service excellent. Check out Leah the manager who took it to a whole new level of great service. Gumbo. Gumbo. Gumbo. Great atmosphere.

Jeffrey N.

Yelp
The food and services was amazing. The crab legs made my day. The gumbo was delicious

Yelp
I didn't realize it was 2 places in one. The Catch and The Wedge. I am not much of a seafood person so I had pizza which I thought was really good and the side Caesar salad was a very generous portion. I thought the prices were fairly reasonable as well.

Yelp
My check-in was a couple of weeks ago. We went in a group for a birthday celebration. The food was good. Some of our number had to engage with staff to have their order made after it was ordered. I'm not sure how you don't check-in with all of your guests as a server once the food is delivered. Fairly common practice to ask every one of your guests if they received all of their food and if the food is satisfactory. But that did not happen. Overall my rating for The Catch remains at three stars. Good food, meh service, and several locations to serve you. Yes I'm still salty over the lack of cheese grits at a southern seafood restaurant. I'm old school and if you're going to have fried catfish you need cheese grits.

Yelp
White fish basket, 2 piece with fries, 2 Hush puppies for $13.00. Husband said was good. He has had catfish before and good also. If you are FISHY this is your catch in MWC. I had Wedge pizza, not same as before for sure. They share the place so you order at separate counters. I don't eat fish but next time I will find chicken to order from the Catch side for sure. Love they still have the bar. Lots of seating, none marked for social distancing but plenty of room to space apart.

Zoe U.

Yelp
They got my order wrong and when I tried to call the first time they didn't pickup and their mailbox is full. The second time I call I got a hold of them and was talking to one of the employees what was wrong he hung up on me. Overall they didn't have to best customer service
google avatar

Yelp
A great lunch out with my kidddo! Gumbo was amazing! The fried shrimp was amazing, and the étouffe was delicious (but a little disappointing ces is there were only 2 shrimp in it). Overall terrific seafood for Midwest City!

Yelp
Was not a fan of the catch, especially when I was at the Bourbon Street Cafe the day before. I'm not a fan of restaurants that have the majority of there menu a fried food. I got the blacken chicken tenders, unfortunately they were dry. Got a side of red beans and rice and it had a good level of spice and for a side about the right quality. We got several appetizers that showed up just right before our entrees. The boudin balls were not very good and we left over half of them behind. A few in our group had not tried crawfish before so we got a pound. They were small and lacking flavor. The shinning star was the fried alligator. It was hot and very tasty. Should have gotten that as my meal. Not thinking that The Catch will be in my rotation.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
The food was amazing and flavorful. The gumbo is amazing! Had one cup and got a big bowl to go. The catfish is good. Everything was good.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Best red beans and rice I've found in OKC. Catfish is also very good. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Andouiue sausage is just okay. It's a little expensive for what you get.
google avatar

Jesica W.

Yelp
The food was terrible. Obviously fish is frozen, it was soggy...just bad. We ordered by internet and when we got to the restaurant they had no record. We had to go back home to get our phone so we could prove we ordered and already paid.
google avatar

Dustin G.

Yelp
Upgraded long John silvers with crab legs. I had the catfish and shrimp dinner. Everything is obviously frozen because it's in Oklahoma but upgraded long John silvers is the best I can think of to describe The Catch.

Yelp
Not super impressed with our first visit, but never the less pretty excited to have a new business open in MWC. Food: we ordered the fried shrimp & crawfish combo meal and the Half & half shrimp meal. Overall we agreed that our food was under seasoned on all fronts. I was most excited about the etoufee and was super sad to discover it lacked any heat at all when it came to the spices. It was more like a tomato based shrimp and rice dish vs what you would expect from the classic Cajun dish. The dirty rice was also very bland and strangely oily/greasy.. one bite was enough to decide it was definitely a no go for us. The fried shrimp & crawfish were good, but again lacked seasoning... Service: I don't know if they were short staffed tonight, or just have some kinks to work out since they are a brand new business.. but they just didn't have enough people on the front end to function seamlessly.. the entire time we were there the 3 people out front were having to run all over the place to clean tables, run the registers (on the catch and the wedge side), and manage customers + take out orders. I realize that they have just opened their doors- they are either in their soft opening or today was day 1 of their grand opening, so they have plenty of time to grow and work through all of the unexpected things that comes with a new business- we will definitely be back in a few weeks to try some other things on the menu and give them another shot!

Yelp
I've driven by this place a few times and decided to give it a try. There's actually two restaurants inside of one building, which seemed pretty cool. Cajun food on one end (The Catch) and a pizzeria on the other end (The Wedge). The food tasted really good. However, I wish the person who took my order would've been a little more descriptive OR the menu would indicate which items were spicy and which were not. As a person with gastrointestinal issues that is negatively effected by certain foods, (and has no self control because I love spicy food haha), it would have been nice to decipher between hot and not hot. The staff was polite when speaking to me. They seemed understaffed and to be doing multiple tasks. The 3-star rating is due to two reasons: 1. I asked if the food was spicy and the waitress said no but it actually was spicy and now I'm curled in a fetal position (lol). Though it was like 3/10, I have a baby stomach and try to avoid most spices. 2. There's a lot of potential for growth here. I've read previous posts from months ago and it appears that a lot of the same issues still exist. Pro Tip: 1. The hush puppies aren't spicy 2. Almost everything else is mildly spicy haha 3. There's an actual bar located in the building

Yelp
I specifically placed a note in my order due to my allergen. They did not respect it. The amount of food I had in my container was disgraceful...
google avatar

Lana G.

Yelp
My husband enjoyed a few things of the menu. I think his only complaint was the price you paid, but that the food was tasty and better than what seafood party had to offer. I don't remember the food much at all, but seafood isn't really for me anyway. I did get to try fried gator for the first time, but I didn't care for it. Can't comment on ambiance as we only got food for pickup.
google avatar

Kourtney R.

Yelp
I've been looking for a reason to go back. Only reason I'm writing a review now is because Yelp reminded me too. It's expensive but for me worth it. Staff was friendly and patient, the food was delicious! The atmosphere was clean and what you'd expect from a seafood restaurant! Thanks for the tasty meal! P.S. Be prepared to get your hands dirty.

Yelp
I've been here once before and really want impressed all that much. But one of the guys I work with wanted to go here so I decided to give it another try. Last time I had grilled fish and a couple of sides. It was all okay but if I remember the bread was really good. Just thought it was a bit pricey. This time I had the large fried shrimp and catfish combo with fries and hush puppies. I've got to be honest it was all really good. With a large you get two nice size pieces of catfish and four large shrimp, some very tasty french fries and two small hush puppies. Again I still feel that it is a bit pricey but the food was great. It reminds me of Sam's Southern Eatery when they first opened and before the quality of their food went south. Overall grade "B+". The food was great but a bit pricey. So if you don't mind paying a little extra. I recommend giving it a try. I'll be back. I think I'll try the spicy shrimp pasta next time. It looked delicious.

Yelp
We love this place. They have great food. We will go there often. Great customer service. Interior and exterior are modern.

Yelp
I'm actually give the place 5 Stars. Maybe it was because I expected to be disappointed from ordering outside of my norm or when I tried a different location years ago it was mid at best. Anyway tonight I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered I think the Cajun plate with fried catfish and got extra sausage as a side with it smothered in etouffee . At first they brought out my food with blackened fish but once I brought it to the runners attention she took it back without hesitation and a smile. The boudin balls were an appetizer and they were crispy and good with the remoulade sauce(their ranch taste like ass so stay away from it). They were good without dipping sauce, a nice size with good taste. Back to the Cajun plate with the correct order was delicious. The fish was seasoned well and crispy even with the smothered etouffee over it. The smoked sausage was probably just Hilshire but it was still seared perfectly. My garlic bread wasn't hot but ehhh who cares. The rice with etouffee had great flavor as well. It's rare I'm completely satisfied with a meal but tonight I was. I mean the shit was like at $33 meal so it should've been perfect anyway . Service was good. Idk why my family hasn't been to this location before. When it was drum room/ wedge we would visit but maybe we stopped cuz we felt the pizza needed more sauce. Anyway my mom got the crab boil and added a half pound of crab which was just one cluster. She said everything had great flavor but it was just a small portion for $70. If you're going for something simple like po boy, basket, or dinner I think you'll be happy. My ticket wouldn't have been so high with out the $4 etouffee upgrade and appetizer.

Yelp
Visiting OKC and friends took us here. Fresh live craw fish were amazing. Fried green tomatoes, cat fish, chicken, gumbo. Yes we ordered a lot. Was so great and well worth the price. Definitely coming back.

Audreauna R.

Yelp
My sister got food poisoning from the one in Moore awhile back and I ate at this for the first time last night and just got catfish. It was delicious but after a hour and a half I have NEVER been that sick in my life. I won't ever eat seafood again after last night. Thanks for the food poisoning!

Yelp
First time here and it was a good experience. I had the lunch combo popcorn shrimp and it was delicious, a little to much fries.

Ryan T.

Yelp
salmon somehow crispy. some guy kept putting chicken salt on everything i had. cool decor.
google avatar

Holly B.

Yelp
The food and service is always amazing and timely! We love the fish and the pizza joint that shares the space is good, too!
google avatar

Bap S.

Yelp
The food is very delicious. Fried green tomatoes where just right and fresh. The blackened whiting was a little salty, but the okra and green beans very good and taste fresh. The Gator was good, however the server said they come as Nuggets with a basket order. I got popcorn gator nuggets. You pay 10.99 for nuggets and fries I expect to get nuggets. I hate having to wait longer for the cook to get my food right, people don't have time for that. I'm disappointed in the gator basket, for that price. Hush puppies were bigger than the gator. Smh
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Awful. Waited 20 minutes for a fry basket until we finally asked shift manager to check. He returned to tell us it "normally takes 20 minutes." A few mins later the orders arrived cold. Based upon the food temperature we surmised they had been sitting undelivered for at least 10 mins. They weren't busy. We asked for a refund and left. A total waste of time. There are real quality control issues with this place.
google avatar

Johnna L.

Yelp
I was trying my best to like The Catch! I've been there before and it was amazing. However, today I ordered the spicy shrimp pasta.......I noticed with the first bite the pasta water hadn't been salted. There was no spice, None. I'm wondering if it was tasted before serving. I was so sad, because I really want to continue supporting this restaurant. But that spicy shrimp pasta was very disappointing. The beans/rice were absolutely delicious.. thank you
google avatar

Brett B.

Yelp
The blackened alligator will have you thinking you're in New Orleans! Traditionally blackened and served with coleslaw and green beans is the way to go when eating at the Catch!
google avatar

Jeniffer F.

Yelp
My husband and I went to eat there yesterday after work. When arriving we stood inside the restaurant with several employees walking by or staring from a distance. Nobody spoke or asked if we needed anything. We actually stopped a person walking by with a tray and asked if we place an order at the counter or seat ourself? She pointed to the counter and said someone would be with us. Probably after another 10 minutes and nobody seemed to want our business we left. We won't be back and have no idea how they will stay in business. Awful awful way to run a restaurant.
google avatar

Claire D.

Yelp
Great service and attention! Our servers were super friendly and the manager stopped by our table several times to check on us as well. We ordered catfish and shrimp, which were both solid choices but that clam chowder, though! Fabulous! Fries & hushpuppies were good, and the fried okra tasty (but needs to be more crispy IMO). The tartar sauce was yummy. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. The place was busy and hopping when we were there so I hope the love continues. We must support the businesses in our community! We don't eat fried food too often, but nice to know there is a good place to splurge now & then. Everything was clean, spaced well and employees wore masks.
google avatar

Steve T.

Yelp
Pretty good food for the price, not the absolute best Cajun I have had, but for what I call "faster food" style it was good value. Will be back
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Aboslutely horrible! The sent the wrong food and refused to make it right. Told me I was S.O.L. Wouldn't give any names or even the number so I could call the owner of the place. Rude and useless.
google avatar

Dena E.

Yelp
The wait staff was rude. I told her that our appetizer was way too salty and she said "I didn't cook it" and walked off. I give no stars for her behavior. Also their floors are not level- be careful.
google avatar

Joyce P.

Yelp
No pic!! Was too busy eating!! I've been 2 times and will go again. First time I had the grilled shrimp and okra. Shrimp was a great size and tasted yummy!! Okra was crisp like I love. Second time I ordered the catfish basket. It was crispy and good, could have had a little more spicy seasoning or me. I ordered the onion rings and they were awesome!! Give them time till they get their groove!!
google avatar

Yelp
Im from Louisiana. I had the crawfish po-boy. The Catch did not use po-boy bread. Po-boy was 5" or so long, cut in half. Crawfish was tasty. Gonna try the baskets or the grits. Im done with the po-boys unless they use the real bread.

Amy D.

Yelp
Love their shrimp Po'Boys and fries. Always friendly staff and clean environment. Definitely one of our go to places for a quick bite.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
We've always enjoyed the food (white fish tacos are my go to and they're always yummy). But the manager, Anthony, was wonderful to my family today. I had my 2 children and my mom, who has dementia and can become easily overwhelmed. Anthony was very patient and kind with us, and took the time to explain the menu to mom, helping her make her selection when she was confused. He even threw in some complimentary beignets for the table. We appreciate Anthony's kindness, which made all the difference for my family today. And the food was exceptional, as always.

Anthony K.

Yelp
Love your Cajun platter, the catfish fillets to me are blackened catfish. The best I have had in a long time. Would like to see a menu item that is the blackened catfish without the sausage.
