The Cavendish Pub, Marylebone

Perfect for lazy Sunday roasts - plates were served hot and the food was decent, you won’t be hungry !! There is an in house cocktail menu available and wine list. Staff are engaging, friendly and have a sense of humour.

Writing this review still in the pub. It’s been a leisurely Sunday, 1230 reservation upstairs, it’s almost 1800 now, and we’ve had a wonderful afternoon catching up with friends. Food, Japanese beer and wines are lovely (highly recommend the Primitivo). Tegan is exceptional! So knowledgable and intuitive; she and her team have made this visit incredibly memorable, even more so when we decided to order dinner for our two year old Cavapoo from their dog menu. Thank you all for your hospitality. Really feeling at home. Looking forward to when we get to come back!

Good location and atmosphere at the heart of Marylebone, the cocktails that we ordered were well executed (although a bit pricey). The service was very good at first but for the second drinks we were served by a rather pushy member of staff who rushed us to the exit. For this reason I wouldn't really recommend.

This review is long overdue, tried mt first Sunday roast during our trip to London last month. Resevered outside seating right when opened. Service was good and food was exceptional. Love the area as it’s very chill.

I like this place but, it has become so busy and you even have to reserve a table on a Tuesday now. Almost completely empty and every table reserved… the final thing I’d mention is the markup on the wines, it is 150 % shop prices. There are places much more high end with better prices for the same wines

Absolutely fabulous pub and staff. As soon as my friend and I walked in, it was 5 star service. Staff superb! The food was delicious. I have to say the playlist brilliant. Thank you team, have found a wee gem. Kay xx

The Cavendish was such a lovely experience for me. I was visiting London for a week and had just enjoyed 3 hours at the Wallace Collection and decided to find a place to eat and have wine. I saw this restaurant and thought the outdoor seating area was beautiful. It was sunny too! 😍 The service was consistently splendid throughout the entire afternoon and early evening. Zena brought me a half litre of a Verdicchio and made sure to have it in an ice bucket. I spoke to Zakia as well and enjoyed my conversation with her too. I mentioned that it was getting cold outside, and they mentioned that an indoor table was available, so I grabbed it right away. Given that most of the seats were bar stools, I really appreciated sitting at a proper table to enjoy dinner. Zena was very kind and even described some of the menu items that were her favourites. I settled on the brioche with braised ox cheeks, which were absolutely mouthwatering and heavenly. Delicious!😋 My main course was the ricotta and leek tortelloni. This was quite special since I don't recall ever ordering a pasta dish with leek in it. This was so delightful and tasty. The wine was a great complement to the meal. I was thoroughly satisfied and will definitely return when I'm back in London. Thank you for making this experience so memorable for me!

Might be a four star. Clean. Simple. Friendly. Decent drinks. I have no complaints. Clean. A customer was screaming about getting salt now. A nice small place. I would stop on again!

Came by for some drinks. The beer list is pretty basic. They have some good wine lists as well. No food this night, but service was fine. The staff was somewhat confused with the wine list.

Intimate gastropub with occasional live music. Limited menu which isn't surprising as it is more of a bar than anything else. Limited seating area.

The makeover of this gastropub has bumped it up to the higher-end of bars/pubs in the area. Bar area downstairs and restaurant upstairs, there's something for everyone here. Food is served after 6pm in the downstairs bar area. Until then, you can pop in for a drink in a room that dressed like something out of a Jules Verne x Victorian novel. Dark green walls, plush booths, high tables, brass accents and a long silver bar makes this place a perfect pre-dinner drinks. The wines are just as good as before and the selection of draft beers have increased. It has barely been opened for a month and I've been in three times for a post-work drink. Come and enjoy!

Nice little pub/restaurant in a relaxed enviroment. The pasta dishes were fantastic.

Food and service absolutely fantastic. Not cheap but has quality to match the price. Had to move table from outside to inside after all the cutlery was laid out. But staff gave no fuss. Smile on the face and changed our table. Very attentive service and the food was very very good (had the carabinero prawn risotto for starter and baby chicken for main - amazing taste). Will recommend and go again.
