"Underneath Beecher’s Cheese shop is this useful little wine and cheese bar that’s definitely the best option for your Wine Wednesdays in the area." - Katherine Lewin

Absolutely Love Dancing Bear. It's one of our favorite wines. Make sure to check out their website & Facebook page for all the fun events they host! It's such a great winery.

We love the Cellar Winery. They have some great wines, and they also have some great locally brewed beers on tap. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have live bands on site. Check in with them to see the schedule. We will definitely return to this establishment when we are in the area. We highly recommend stopping by. This place is fantastic.

We had a blast doing a double date here on the fire ring Friday's. There was some super good and entertaining live music. The owners were beyond nice, friendly, and accommodating. Wine is actually good because it isn't as sweet as other local wines. They had some tips bet on tap as well. They also had this mulberry gun lemonade that is dangerous. Beautiful location with plenty of space. Well be back for sure!

We got married at The Cellar, & were very pleased with how things went. Given our short timeline (booked two months before the wedding), John worked with us to ensure our day was special. He went above and beyond to help with all the nitty gritty details and made sure everyone was fed, had a drink, and most importantly - happy. I highly recommend to any future bride/groom to check out the Cellar Winery as it was a wonderful AND beautiful spot to have our wedding. John and his team did great. Thank you, John!!!

Lovely visit to The Cellar Winery. Nice selection of wines, relaxing environment and very friendly staff. Just happened to meet the owners while enjoying the porch. Super nice people. And bonus......they are also Harvest Hosts!

Great blues on Sunday. Perfect day for music. You must try their Sangria. Friendly staff and other music fans. I got stuck in the gravel trying to leave and many people helped me out.

Discovered this winery while at The Ames Farmers Market. We love the weekend events and the wines are some of my new favorite from Iowa.

Great people, and easy parking! If we are on the area again, we would go back. Great wine too! 😀

Yelp
A beautiful setting with nice trees for lovely days outside. Plenty of friendly faces to help while you're there. It would be good if they had more organization to help speed the process of sampling and ordering. There are many wine choices especially if you prefer sweeter varieties. Hopefully they get more dry and less sweet varieties.

Yelp
The charcuterie trays are beautiful and amazing; the service is friendly, inviting and excellent and the ambience is warm: there's always music playing, and they're dog friendly. You want to experience the sunsets, as well!

Yelp
Such a fun venue for a little live music, food, and really good wine. It's always great to chat with the owners of local wineries. There's typically a particular bottle they are very proud of and it's fun to learn about their process and what they've learned over the years. Will definitely be back - make a reservation to make sure you get a table on live music nights. It was a full house! The Rose and Edelweiss were our favorites.

Yelp
Great place to Harvest Host and buy wine! Beautiful place and friendly people! Nice big gravel lot and a grassy area to exercise our dog. We're not wine drinkers but our friends are!

Yelp
What an awesome experience. John (the owner) gave us a tasting of 6 different wine and each one was amazing. I've always been a beer guy and never really cared too much about wine, but this experience has changed that drastically. John (and the rest of the staff) are all really great and knowledgeable people who will walk you through the making of each of their wines and make you feel welcomed within their winery. Please, even if you aren't a wine person, make the trip to visit these people. You really won't regret it.

Yelp
This is a wonderful winery. Definitely worth the drive from Ames. I enjoyed all the wines I tried, and I will be back to buy more. The vintners are knowledgeable, and I had a great time chatting with them. I will recommend it to all my friends.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and the wine was great. I did the tasting and tour with friends which was very enjoyable and not expensive. Definitely one of the best wineries in Iowa that I've been to.
