Google
Went here to watch an F1 race and it was a fantastic environment. Place was packed by lights out, so I'd suggest getting there no later than an hour before it starts. The beer selection was awesome, lots of options and average prices in today's market. It has a good selection of foreign and domestic beers. The basement is a lot quieter of an environment that upstairs. Both have plenty of TVs to watch the sports being shown

BMF Garage

Google
Solid atmosphere, food and service. Came for lunch on st pattys day and had a great time. Corned beef and cabbage was real good. Wouldn’t have minded a bit more cabbage. Buddy had the sausage and fries. Sauce was good, sausage had really good flavor. Would definitely eat here again. Portion size was really good.

Doug Franklin

Google
I had the fish and chips and the person I was with had the Reuben. The fish and chips were fine. Nothing special, but not bad. She gave me a little of her reuben sandwich and it was really good. If I were to go back I would order that. Lots of cool stuff on the walls, pictures and assorted display items. It was not busy at all when we were there at around 7:00. You have to go to the bar to order, they don't have waitresses they come to your table, however they do bring the food to you. We waited a very long time for our food as well.... Around an hour or so.

Google
They don’t do free tap water, so you have to pay $2/water bottle. Our food didn’t go through and they didn’t realize it until we went up to ask after 45 minutes. Their “cottage pie” is actually just over salted ground beef with peas and carrots, not minced beef like the menu says. Nothing was comped for this awful visit. The space itself was fine. I don’t recommend this place and the was mediocre at best.

Google
I’ve been a couple of times on weekends for football (soccer) matches and football games, and it’s been great. Good stuff: - Super nice, efficient bartenders. - Lots of varied seating. - I have not tried the food, but it looks good and reasonable prices. - Lots of TVs A couple of “challenges”: - What they put on their biggest TVs seems random at times. Like golf or someone talking in a studio, while the featured match is on the small screens below it. - It’s hard to tell online when they will be open early for special events or early matches that start at 7 am or 9:30 am etc so you just have to wing it. - Parking can be tough. I will definitely stop by from time to time!

Google
Just went there because it was close. Turned out to be my best decision in a while. Service was great, food was outstanding, and you can sit at the bar, at a table, or on a large sofa (if you wish). Plenty of decor. I wound up eating 4 different dishes because the first was so amazing. None of them let me down. Baked Brie in Flake Dough Spinach Artichoke Dip Bangers and Mash Reuben All fantastic.

Google
Good place to watch soccer and have a few beers. The day I stopped in they only had one person working the bar and the kitchen was closed.

Daniel Trovato

Google
Cool spot. Good food and drinks. It's exactly what the bar claims to be--irish dive bar. Some lady bartender downstairs wouldn't serve me and just walked into the bathroom. But, the bartenders upstairs were good though. It was a nice spot overall!
google avatar

Mattie Y.

Yelp
I haven't tried the food here, but I have to give this place 5 stars because of the good vibes! I came here for an F1 (Formula 1) race night and they were playing it on all the TVs which was awesome! F1 doesn't usually happen at night, so it surely wasn't typical, but made me want to come to the morning races. Service was great and no problems with bouncers or bartenders.
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
They have so many TVs here, came to watch the USA soccer game. Wasn't too busy but this place gets packed for big games. The service was quick, def a dive bar. OTB here and the basement is filled with people betting and watching horses race. The bathroom is in the basement too- gives me the creeps wouldn't go down there alone if I were you. The food was ok, the sandwich was pretty decent, the waffle fries were hard as a rock! Would probs eat before coming here again. Good watering hole though

Yelp
Pretty cool spot. We stopped by on St. Paddy's Day and the place was not that crowded, which was nice. We placed some horse bets, drank a few Guinness and then left. All around it was a chill spot with great service.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Cool old Celtic vibe to the place, and the food and beverages are AMAZING! TRY THE Guinness mixes, you will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Properly poured Guinness with plenty of seating and TVs. Seems like a great place to get an Irish breakfast and enjoy rugby.

Debby R.

Yelp
This is not an Irish pub, it's a gambling place with a strange vibe. I'm not sure why they bother with food--reading the menu alone is challenging with the various font types, random bold words, and unnecessary capitalization. We reluctantly ordered the sausage and fish & chips and both were awful. Do not waste your money. And on top of everything, they charge for water. We ordered food and a beer and they still could not give us a free glass of water. We will never go back, too many other quality places in Denver that can give you a glass of water on the house.

Yelp
Caveat: I came here for the WC final, and I think part of my experience may have been impacted by it. I'll go again another time to give a more fair review. I went here for the WC final and it was PACKED. the atmosphere was great, and I was very happy to have gotten a table. I was a bit disappointed that they weren't serving Irish breakfasts that day, but it makes sense given how packed they were. I'll have to go again to try it. Instead, I got the turkey breakfast pizza. This was pretty average, and it tasted marginally better than something you'd get from the frozen aisle. Their Irish coffee was great though. It was the perfect way to wake me up and get me a bit buzzed for the game. I ended up staying for lunch and ordered scotch eggs with curry chips (fries). The scotch eggs tasted a bit rubbery, but the portion size was good and the salad it was served on was surprisingly tasty. The curry fries were delicious though. The fries themselves were shoestrings which I'm a huge fan of. Lightly salted and perfectly crisp. The curry sauce really elevated them though. I would definitely order it again if I went back. Overall, I think this place has promise and definitely need to revisit when they aren't as busy.

Yelp
The Celtic is a neat bar right around a bunch of other neat bars located in the busy LoDo area. I checked it out because a friend of mine wanted to watch a soccer (football for all you non-USA folk) game and we thought an Irish bar would probably show the game, which it did! The drinks were on the affordable side while being plenty strong so we were happy! Just keep in mind that you are in LoDo so you'll either need to park on the street or pay a lot for a paved lot.

Yelp
Irish stew no way ! Don't call it that it's a slap in the face to Irish frozen vegetables, mixed with Meat and Broth is not Irish, two cubed, potatoes, smaller than a dime it's not Irish ! Unless it's still the Irish famine ??‍ so it says Celtic yes has the look and yes has the beer and menu items but taste of food no bueno ! Not Celtic not Irish! my family is from Galway to say Galway Fish and chips ugh ! The Irish stew look like Campbell's. It was really sad.. now the positive the bartenders, super attentive atmosphere, fun people fun, so if you wanna get drunk and watch sports ! This is your place but if you're looking for Irish food, no walk away go ahead and go to Nallen's's and order your food to be delivered to you. That's the best Irish experience you're gonna get in downtown Denver.
google avatar

Matt R.

Yelp
Really awesome spot to catch soccer or F1. Odd start times are Celtic's forte. Food is decent and service is solid. Tons of space up and downstairs with that horse betting vibe!

Yelp
What a great surprise to stumble upon! My boyfriend and I were walking around lower downtown after the Rockies game and looking for a casual dive bar-type place to sit back and relax with a tasty beverage. We happened in and were delighted to have somehow crossed into a wormhole that transported us to an Irish pub just like the ones I visited while in Ireland. There was a live band playing classic Celtic music, the place was full of dark wood, old brass, and some classic Irish cuisine! We loved Adam, our dry, humorous barkeep who wasn't phony friendly, but just himself and we loved that. We talked to locals and visitors and watched sports and noshed on the best burger! I know, not traditional Irish fair, but it was what I was craving. It had a Jameson reduction sauce and Guinness cheese and was so juicy and flavorful! I wish we could have come back for the shepherds pie. Next time.

Yelp
Fun service! Not much else to say about this place...spent a few hours here and it's chill. Drinks yes
google avatar

Wally H.

Yelp
Very nice staff. The bar has a warm ambiance with lots of space. Also a very diverse food selection for any Irish bar in the area I've been to.
google avatar

Max A.

Yelp
Most gracious hosts. Will definitely be back. Staff members were hospitable to a tee. The drink selection is tops.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Wasn't sure what to expect, however this place is excellent! The server was very attentive and kind. She had great recommendations as far as what is good and worth your money on the menu. There's a variety of drink options. We each got something different and everything was reasonably priced.
google avatar

Jenn M.

Yelp
Server was unfriendly and very rude.Only made it to the bar area and after the attitude and service we got, we paid the bill and left.
google avatar

William F.

Yelp
Great place to get together with a friend at watch the nuggets win the championship! Nice international beer selection, excellent super large pretzel and wings. Would def go again. Prob not the best spot for an upscale date though..
google avatar

Jo S.

Yelp
OMG the smell at this place inside is just beyond gross. Horrible and very dirty , service was awful , no customer service skills here . Some dude fell downstairs going to the restroom . Drinks were watery and total jock . food sucks and awful . Yuck overall experience . Do not recommend this place for food or drinks .
google avatar

Jerry O.

Yelp
Great football bar, with many loyal footballers watch matches from Europe. Noel is the owner and is almost always on site. He's awesome! And a Liverpool fan! This venue is also home to many rapid fans. The supporters have arranged transportation to the home matches. Check in at the Celtic.
google avatar

Ramona O.

Yelp
Good drinks and customer service! They also have a spooky tour that starts here at the Celtic. Great green tea shots. They also have board games, different big man friendly chairs, couches, chairs low and high. Great hang out spot!
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Martin the bartender is great! Fun place to hang out with friends. Nice atmosphere and great customer service.
google avatar

Allie R.

Yelp
Believe it or not but the food here is pretty good. I get the salad with chicken tenders often and their ranch is really good. I like the Ruben too, and have heard the Shepard's pie is delicious. Service is fast at lunch time. The restaurant its self is very pretty inside with all the dark woods. I'll update when I try their happy hour.

Jacob B.

Yelp
Great place to go for soccer matches and they also play other sports Friendly staff and a bunch of different kinds of seating
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
Came here while I was walking around the downtown Denver area. With covid-19, sports really aren't a thing anymore but believe it or not, this place has still got it: Soccer, horse racing, etc. Basically all the sports that can still go on outside golf; although, I'm sure they still have it when bigger tournaments are on like the Master's. The beer and food were great and the staff friendly as well. Look forward to coming back to this place once things have normalized.
google avatar

Sabrina P.

Yelp
Awesome dive. I've been before when it was packed and recently when it was pretty empty. The bartenders are always super attentive, drinks are well priced and there is a pizza vending machine inside. So ultimately a great place to hang out with a girl friend, not be harassed & have a great time.
google avatar

SCOTT A.

Yelp
Celtic has been my favorite go-to bar for 20+ years. Wendy & Noel are fantastic and they've survived the COVID crap in pretty good shape. Food is always good, service excellent and the drinks are flowing... Gonna miss this place.
google avatar

Francesca C.

Yelp
My husband and I are visiting from North Carolina, and wanted to find a place to watch a Manchester City match. Everyone was extremely welcoming. The drinks, food, and atmosphere were wonderful. I would highly recommend The Celtic, especially if you are visiting from out of town and looking for a place to watch a MC game. Thanks for having us!
google avatar

Soggy Cannoli Y.

Yelp
They charge you for being the DD. Thats real responsible as bar owners. Good job on that one mates. my chap was wasted got a water and a beer, they charged me for the water. Real classy.
google avatar

Natasha H.

Yelp
Came in on a Monday early afternoon. Looking for something warm on a cold Colorado day. The place was nice and quiet and people were following Covid restrictions. I wash going to order the Shepard's pie but ended up ordering fish and chips. The service was not bad and the food was hot and tasty. The prices are definitely reasonable. If you are looking for some good comfort food I would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday night when every other place was packed and spilling out on the street. Celtic was packed, but somehow we found a tiny two person table open. We ordered appetizers and a couple beers. It was loud (it's a bar) and cramped. Food was, well, just skip the food it wasn't good. Beers were cold and service was good for the amount of people in there. Note: as we went to leave we realized there was a whole other level downstairs that was quiet and wide open!!!! So check down there first if you want a more chill environment.
google avatar

Danny T.

Yelp
We got there and we're excited to see the pizza machine however the bartender was so rude he was not helpful at all so we decided not to have the pizza and left I would never go there again I do not recommend this place

Chris K.

Yelp
Great places and atmosphere for F1 and any important soccer matches. THE SLOWEST SERVICE ON THE PLANET.
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
This was our third stop on a Haunted Dinner Walking Tour. It was dead inside, and we headed downstairs for tails of ghosts and Shepherds Pie. The pies were in small individual bowls and there were pitchers of water set out. The waitstaff must have been scared off by the ghosts, because they were nowhere to be seen. I don't know what the rest of their menu looked like, but was not impressed.
google avatar

MacKenzie T.

Yelp
Came in because we were wandering and it was a cool little Irish pub. Drinks were reasonably priced and we were able to get a booth pretty easily because it wasn't too packed. Quality accidental find, would go back.
google avatar

Clayton A.

Yelp
I hang out at this bar pretty much every day after work. Staff is awesome and the drinks are always flowing. You should try the food as well. Awesome Irish flair for sure. The Celtic provides a few things that other bars do not. Soccer, off track betting, cigars, and a pizza vending machine. Trust me, that machine hits the spot at 12am.
google avatar

Tiffany J.

Yelp
Went here on St Patrick's weekend, Friday Night, around 930ish. We had a list of several Irish bars we wanted to check out and this was the first. It was dead, so a little surprised. The ambiance is kinda cool - eclectic and hodge podge. There are lots of seating options, armchairs, high top tables. The server presented us with a limited St Pat menu.... kinda boring. And he didn't realize kitchen was closed so only pastys available. We were disappointed. Finished our drinks and moved on to another option.
google avatar

Curtis C.

Yelp
Great food and great service! Went St. Patrick's day and had to wait a hr and a half for any food but that's Otay because it was busy. The bartender was a beast! She was killing it best she could so I gave this place 4 stars! Definitely try it but they need to staff more on their busiest holidays
google avatar

Jason J.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and food before a show. The service was good here, the beers were cold, and that's really the end of the good things I can say about the experience. Food was blah. Let's just say that if I ever come back here it won't be for the food.

D G.

Yelp
This is not a Irish pub. This is a place that pretends to be a Irish pub. I ordered what seemed like a new take on a favorite, grilled cheese. This was not grilled but a sorry excuse for a grilled cheese sandwich. It was two toasted pieces of white bread with mustard and cheese on it. $10.95 for crap. They have a good selection of scotch so that is the extra star. Overpriced and just a turd of a place. Bathrooms are gross. I would recommend a place called "The Pint". Good food and beer. They are English and you can tell the difference.
google avatar

Phil A.

Yelp
I don't know why this is the first time I checked in. Absolutely love this o place and the staff. The food is amazing and if you're looking to spend some time before a game at the Pepsi center or just chillen downtown I suggest stopping in. Throw $5 on a dog race. Have a beer and feel the vibes. Also. Huge English premier league bar if you're looking for soccer. Wear your jersey. I've never been without a team represented. Even when wofford plays at 1pm on a Tuesday like today.
google avatar

Andrew _.

Yelp
Kind of a dirty bar but we keep coming back. Fun Irish bar with a great owner. You can bet horse races in the basement.

Tim D.

Yelp
Great stop while we were in Denver. Friendly staff reasonable prices and comfortable welcoming environment. Dozens of TV's with every sport you could want and off track betting for the horses. We just had appetizers but the chicken tenders were spot on. Highly recommend this stop.

Veronica G.

Yelp
Bad service. Came for lunch service was super slow, food didn't come out right had to ask for sauce on my wings because the first time it didn't have any and the guy soda he had to ask a mango wtf for sauce that should have been on there. Never coming back don't recommend
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
We went here for a World Cup game. It was full but not out of control packed. They offered their limited menu. I tried the Fish and Chips and also the Spicy Wings. All of it was standard fare, tasted fine, but nothing stood out. Actually the fries were pretty bad, but everything else was OK. Good beer selection, and the people working there were friendly.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Great beer selection and on point Irish breakfast. Perfect Irish bacon which I have a hard time finding.
google avatar

Kyra S.

Yelp
Met a group of friends here for lunch, what a hidden gem. Amazed I haven't been here before, but am so glad to have found it today. Kind if quiet for lunch, but im sure that will change soon. Had the shepards pie AND the fish & chips (to share) because I seriously fould not decide...and wow. Wow, they were excellent. Super flavorful. Others in the group had the breakfast, also got raves, and the burritos...had no idea how good these could be either. Did not disappoint in any way.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
My first trip to LoDo and I was thrilled to find this place. There were traditional Irish and Welsh items on the menus and some Bavarian. It was summer and hit so I opted for the Brittney Baked Brie with fresh fruit and a draft Stella cider for lunch. The atmosphere is calm and probably going at night. There's plenty of parking close by. My waitress Sarah was phenomenal! If recommended it. It's of the main path and very me.
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
Loud, obnoxious, a great place to go deaf. Who thought the drumming was a good idea? It was awful.
google avatar

Jarrod P.

Yelp
So glad this staple of LoDo is back open! They offer the same great food and drinks as they did before, and the new location is amazing! Make sure you stop by and say hello to Noel and the crew!
google avatar

Scott C.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, great food, off-track betting on horse races, and proper pints (not the small "pints" you'll find most places.) When you get the Traditional Irish Stew, get a side of mashed potatoes, and mix them in. You won't be disappointed. It's just a quick walk from Denver's Union Station and the Pepsi Center too.
